Fantastic experience: The last dentist I went to before going to Timber dental left me with some serious PTSD over going to the dentist and Timber dental cured it all! Everyone from reception, to hygienists, to dentists are all extremely friendly and non judgmental. The space is extremely clean and the whole process in and out is easy and quick.

Fantastic experience: I went in as a new patient in October 25’. I was seen in a week, and did the X-rays and cleaning at once so I didn’t have to come in twice. Friendly and personal staff with a cool new X-ray machine and teeth cleaner.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service! I am so happy and grateful that not only did they really push to accommodate my busy schedule with their own, they perfectly saw what other doctors and dentists could not see. The gave a proper exam of my tooth and surrounding area and extracted my tooth the same day, given the circumstances, and it was painless and fairly pain free the following days. The abscess and infection went away immediately and I feel so great about that. My secondary follow up visit and comprehensive exam and cleaning went perfectly, and I’m excited to visit again knowing with confidence that the entire team is there to handle all of my dental needs. Although I live in Florida, I will make the trip again to get the same excellent service.

Positive experience: The staff at Timber are very nice. Today, my cleaning was a tad too long of a wait in the chair, and the procedure was a tad rushed- but don’t judge harshly because of that. It’s just feedback to them. What I really didn’t care for was the music. It was so pop and high energy-not particularly restful (how about some simple classical music?) I even heard an ad or two for fast food— in a dental office? But with the warmth of the staff and the quality of their work I give them a “recommend”.

Fantastic experience: Timber dental was a much better experience for me than other dentists in the Portland area. They are very communicative, trauma informed before they do anything, friendly, provide details about the process as they worked on me and open to hearing any and all questions I had about what was happening and the billing procedure. The dentist for me has previously been filled with anxiety, defeating with prices and not as accessible but I feel lucky as my partner suggested this place to me. The biggest downfall is they don't take OHP unfortunately but if your able to qualify for financing (through a company they partner with) it can be more affordable. I was trying to find the most gentle, queer friendly, trauma informed, and affordable place and I'm thankful for the experience. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I am so sad to have to leave a negative review of this practice because even though the actual dental care I received here over the past 2+ years was excellent - Paige is an absolutely wonderful hygienist, and every dentist I saw was great, Dr. Will especially - I had an absolutely appalling phone call earlier today with Timber Dental’s Regional Manager, Kristy. I had been trying (for the last NINE months) to get a refund issued for a set of retainers that did not end up fitting. In late 2024, when I asked about how the refund process would work if a second set did not fit (both in-office prior to receiving the retainers & over the phone with the office manager after they didn’t fit), I was told that I did not need to return them and a full refund would be issued to my credit card. However, after that refund did not appear, I followed up multiple times and after almost a full year from the original purchase date, I was told that actually, I did need to return them if I wanted any of my money back. Obviously, after being told by two sets of people that I didn’t need to return them when they didn’t fit, I had thrown them out ten months ago. On the phone today, I was shocked at the aggression I was presented with, when I spoke with Kristy to discuss the problem. I was told that I had complained previously about something else, when I had never had a prior issue, treated as though I was lying regarding the retainers not fitting, and told that though I might have been told not to return them by her own staff that essentially I somehow should have known better because “you wouldn’t go to a store and expect a full refund if you threw out the object!” I mean, come on. I was even told to be grateful they were even offering any partial refund at all. This is not the way to speak with patients. The lack of respect from her and the lack of follow through from office staff & billing which made this process take almost an entire calendar year was absolutely disrespectful of me, my time, and my money. Over the past few years, I had referred several family members and friends to Timber Dental, and I will be recommending they look elsewhere for their dental treatment. Management should take some lessons from the dentistry staff on care and respect. In the meantime, I do not recommend going here for your dental care.

Negative experience: I was a former client of Dr Eid few years ago when she messed up several times on my crown teeth. Despite her wasting a lot of my time and causing inconvenience, I did not hold her responsible since she was pregnant, and the crown teeth seemed to work okay. Earlier this year, one of my crown teeth fell off due to poor cementing, and my new dentist discovered that on top of recementing, I need to do a root canal on top of this because of the gap that Dr Eid left between the crown tooth and my gum which caused infection. Those two procedures are very costly. As a result, I contacted Timber Dental almost THREE MONTHS AGO, and the manager claimed that he will look into this issue and provide solution, but still he has not provided any update! My emails were never responded to, and my phone calls could never reach him. Please avoid this place if you want sub-par dentists, or if you want no solution if anything goes wrong!!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Eid, Paige, and Elijah are all terrific! I avoided the dentist for 15 years before coming to Timber Dental and they always make me feel at ease. Dr. Eid is the most phenomenal dentist I’ve ever had. Couldn’t go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Having a tooth removed is a terrifying series of events but Dr. Nicholas did an amazing job on my extraction and implant. I was very nervous to do a same day implant and bone graft but I’m very glad I did. She had to extract a tooth due to another dentist mistake but made the work as painless as possible. I was so comfortable during the extraction and implant that I fell asleep. I plan on getting all my work done with Dr Nicholas!!

Negative experience: My immediate feeling upon walking in wasn't "dentist" it was "fancy sales office". I feel like I wasn't really listened to, but rather given a list of wildly expensive things they just assumed I would do and could afford even though I was halfway to tears seeing the costs even WITH insurance. Not sure if they understand that some of us live paycheck to paycheck and it might be a good idea to read the room and take it a little slower before gleefully telling them to take out a loan for a bunch of things the dentist was hesitant to even say was necessary.

Fantastic experience: Elijah is the best! So sweet and helpful. I get very nervous at the dentist and he was able to reassure me and had a very gentle hand while also being fast and efficient! I don't know what dental assistants make but he deserves a raise!!

Negative experience: I was informed by my dental provider I needed to have a crown seated for a tooth that Supposedly had a crack. I decided to have the procedure done since this statement was repeated during my cleanings. In November 2024, Dr. Chen was the provider at my normal dental office (MLK Blvd) and doing my crown prep. From the beginning, My temporary crown was not right, I had to have it reglued b/c it fell out and it was also no felling right. Later, I Went in to have the permanent crown seated, the porcelain crown cracked while Dr Chen tried to place to make sure it was seated correctly before permanently cementing. So I decided to order a gold crown. Gold crown ordered and scheduled to have that crown seated when arrived. As I'm driving to my appointment I receive a call stating that my crown had been misplaced and they had to order a new one. At this point I was very disappointed on how this experience has been throughout this whole process. Crown finally arrived and was seated with Dr Chen. After the crown was seated I was experiencing mild sensitivity to cold temperature and my bite was off. I had a scheduled cleaning and I let that provider know what I was experiencing with the crown and she suggested that I have some of my gum removed from around the area of the tooth that had the crown and also mention my crown I had was too big for my tooth. So we scheduled a gum removal (I will get the exact name of the procedure at a later date), which previously another doctor at Timber suggested that I get a crown lengthening procedure. So I did the gum removal with Dr Nicholas in hopes that my temperature sensitivity would go away. A new Gold crown was seated at my follow up. Still to this day I cannot have anything touch that tooth the crown was seated on. Prior to having my tooth prepped for my crown I was not having any tooth issues. And now I cannot drink and eat normally because of the sensitivity I am experiencing with this crown. I even was referred to an endodontist and they are saying that the sensitivity could go away or it could not go away. And at this point I'm not even sure if I can trust their practice and can return for any dental work moving forward. They also informed me that I have a credit on my account in which I have asked for funds to be refunded. I have reached out to the Oregon Board about my experience and will be updating them.

Fantastic experience: I appreciated the professionalism and warm welcomes that the staff provided. The overall energy of the office was positive and not sterile. I would recommend Timber dental to anyone who wants great dental treatment and whom wants to be in an all inclusive space. As a queer person covered in tattoos, this was the cherry on top.

Fantastic experience: Timber dental is the spa of dentistry. I’ve now seen several dentists at the MLK location, but my first visit, Dr Wolfe took the time and effort to explain every single aspect of my treatment plan in a way i could understand, along with being kind, gentle & super likable. There was something I asked him about doing & he told me to save my money, which definitely increased my trust in him as it could have been a slam dunk sale in the moment. The hygienist (so sorry; Eileen or Arlene?) Was SO sweet, knowledgeable, compassionate & downright awesome!! They both checked to make sure i was doing ok several times throughout my procedure which I REALLY appreciate & there's simply nothing more i could have asked for. They also used cutting edge technology I've never seen before that was super impressive. After having 2 cavities filled & a crown fitting with them, I went & had a cleaning done with fluoride treatment with Hannah who was equally sweet, gentle, compassionate & knowledgeable! More technology I've never seen before in a cleaning that impressed me! (Oh, plus u can watch Netflix on the ceiling while waiting & getting work done!) At the end of the visit, at the reception desk, the lady who takes care of finances, appointments and insurance is also great, leaving no questions unanswered or stone unturned. I’ve had some downright traumatic dental experiences, but I couldn't be happier that I found Timber dental. Will definitely recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I don't dread going to the dentist anymore. They have friendly staff and are clear on what insurance will cover and what my out of pocket will be. I highly recommend going here to have your teeth taken care of.

Negative experience: They have some great hygienists but the dental work is ok and the administration is the worst. They have million people working there and yet are totally incompetent. You have to have a whole appt when leaving but they cannot do the simple math to see that they have unbilled procedures that they haven’t accounted for IN THEIR OWN OFFICE. So they’ll quote you a price and then charge you nearly $1000 more because they calculated it wrong because it “hadn’t gone through” even though it was right there in their own system. What is the point of all these extra admins?

Fantastic experience: Great experience here! I came to get a second opinion from a different dental office who I had been a client of for a while. Dr. Will was very informative and straight forward with me and gave me a very reasonable treatment plan. At our follow up filling appointment he only took one hour to do three fillings with no pain or anything post op where as my previous dental office took two hours to do two and my teeth were always very sore after. I highly recommend Timber Dental!

Fantastic experience: Routine dental cleanings cause a lot of anxiety for me, and Timber Dental does a great job of being understanding and patient with my needs. They always show kindness every step of the process and make it the best experience that they can. I’ve been going to their NE Fremont location for 5+ years and highly recommend them.

I have a situation where I had a tooth removed from somewhere else due to insurance coverage after experiencing dry socket- I went back to Timber Dental and had to see a new person who they took great care of me- even Elaine stop by to see how I was doing! That special connection just made me hooked on This Location;) I hate hopping around I like to be loyal to a place. Thanks to everyone who helped be feel cared for.

Negative experience: THey keep deleting my reviews. That should be a big warning! If I could give zero stars, I would. STAY AWAY. I had a disastrous experience with Dr. David Chen and his office. I visited his office on February 27, 2025, for a root canal procedure, but the treatment was botched, leading to excruciating pain, infection, and a failed root canal. I had to visit the emergency room ($900) and undergo retreatment, which resulted in significant physical pain, emotional distress, and financial burden. The issues with my treatment were numerous: Dr. Chen was unprofessional and insensitive during the procedure, holding up the removed root in front of me and training a dental assistant during the procedure. He failed to properly implement the temporary crown, which fell out the next morning. He did not prescribe adequate pain medication, which I now understand is standard. He failed to diagnose the issue with the temporary crown, which was later fixed by another dentist at an emergency clinic. I have since consulted with another dental professional, who informed me that the issues I experienced may have been avoidable with proper treatment and care. I have tried to resolve and complete my treatment with this dental group for 3 months and still have no resolution. This has led me to share my story via reviews. Avoid this dentist and office at all costs. The lack of professionalism, incompetence, and negligence I experienced is unacceptable. I hope that others will learn from my experience and seek care from a more qualified and compassionate dentist.

Fantastic experience: Probably the best dentist experience I've ever had! I went recently for my first appt to establish care after changing insurance. The hygienist, doctor, and everyone else I interacted with were kind and clear communicators. I feel like I understood everything from the exam to the billing & scheduling. When I had my filling done, the hygienist turned on music and Great British Bake Show on the TV on the ceiling to provide a distraction and it was great. Everything that was done from the moment I walked in was very thoughtful and kept the patients in mind. I am very happy to continue to go to this dentist in the future!

Fantastic experience: New Post ***Visited Timber Dental today for my cleaning. Have seen them twice in a week span once to get my second crown set and today for cleaning. Teeth are doing great and everything seems to have or is being adjusted well. Have had no issues with setting of second crown so far. The first one there were some issues and unfortunately took some extra trips to fix but since I live close by it was not an issue. Issues are expected though, especially when dealing with staff that is trying to learn their job. However, if a client did not live close by or have the time flexibility that I have it could have been more of an issue. On the other hand the staff is and was very accommodating though if you let them know your needs. I still stand by my older post below. This staff and dentistry is the best I have been to in my entire life. And like I said before, I am not a fan of dentistry work. So great job. *** Old post- Had a pleasant experience at Timber Dental. I have to say I am not a fan of dentist work. However. I honestly had a pleasant visit. Quick probably due to alot of their high tech gadgets, friendly, and did not feel pressed to make any commitments or to buy something. I visited Timber Dental 20 Jan 2025 for my second Crown work. The second time around has been a much better experience than the first time so far. I am currently using the temporary crown and have to go back to get my permanent one in two weeks. Still having small issues with the first crown, seating to high, but Dr. Eid is working to resolve the issue. I have nothing but praise for the service so far and although we are still working to resolve the small issue with my first crown, the experience has still been a great one so far.

Fantastic experience: Fit me in on short notice after injury to a tooth. They do great work and didn't charge a great deal. I would make sure that actual dentist is working on your teeth, however. Dental assistants were great but seemed intent on doing more than they probably should. Overall, extremely well run operation and super satisfied with the result.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time on laughing gas and it helped so much. I forget the doctor and nurses names who worked on me but they were a great team and made me feel safe! The nurse even hummed to music and it helped me feel calm! Had three teeth removed but they helped me through it!

Fantastic experience: I arrived way too early, for my appointment, hour-an-half to be truthful actually. I made the good decision to go to my prior dentist office to retrieve a flash-drive and upon returning to said appointment. I was informed prior dental office had sent x-rays from two years earlier, which weren't even taken by them. I viewed this as another confirming and valid reason for leaving from the previous dentist office. Especially after four major mistakes- wasting my time and money, which infuriates me. Everything about Timber Dental impressed me. First the locations are ideal and staffing should be commended, for I am extremely nervous about someone operating inside head. From the beginning to the end the staff was very friendly and helpful along the way. I'm so happy and glad I found this place. I'm going to cancel all my appointments with Gentle Dental and transfer to Timber Dental. Thank you Timber Dental for your outstanding service.

Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience with everyone at Timber Dental. I have gotten cleanings, fillings, and Invisalign here. Dr. Garcia is wonderful to work with and was patient and thorough in making sure my Invisalign experience gave me a lasting smile. I really appreciate the time he took to ensure my long term satisfaction. As someone who has had a lot of bad experiences with dentists, this place made me feel safe and cared for.

Negative experience: I called to schedule a cleaning as a new patient, was told they’d do x-rays and cleaning at the first appointment. They took x-rays and photos of my teeth, then a dentist came and did gum measurements. Afterwards he sent me to a desk where the attendant told me they’d have me back for scaling & root planing (SRP), a deep cleaning for people with periodontal or gum disease. This was a surprise, as my oral health has never been bad nor had I been diagnosed with gum disease etc. I also had to pay in advance. 3 red flags on the first visit. The next appointment was scheduled for a few weeks out at the Lombard location. I went to the appointment and asked for a standard cleaning, the receptionist said they couldn’t do that; she talked to the dentist and came back, told me I could cancel or do the deep cleaning. I felt uncomfortable and left. Before the second appointment, I did some research and talked to a dentist friend. I ended up going to another dentist, and the experience was much better. The gum measurements at Timber vs the new place were wayyyy different, and I got a standard cleaning at my new dentist. Overall, bad experience at Timber and I feel like the younger dentist was trying to do more aggressive treatment than required, maybe to hit some goals or get paid. Vibes were off, and I’m glad I trusted my gut/research/friend recommendation to seek a second opinion. Would not recommend timber dental.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at the NE location has been helpful and kind. Even after my first visit when they had trouble verifying some coverage with my insurance. We spoke, they were patient and we easily figured it out together. Elijah, I think, is a dental assistant who helped me back, set me up, went through any updates and got me prepped for the hygienist; very chill and nice start. Paige, the hygienist is also kind when talking about personal care practices or struggling with something like flossing. The team knows how to encourage and advise without being pushy or judgmental. Dr. Garcia is a gentle and thorough man who takes his time with each of his patients. You can tell he is a genuine person and rest of the team that I’ve interacted with has been so too. Second cleaning done and things are looking good. Thanks, y’all!

Fantastic experience: I love Timber Dental on MLK! I used to have severe dental anxiety and avoided the dentist -- I wish I had found Timber sooner. I look forward to going now! The providers and staff are wonderful. They are very transparent about pricing and how they work with insurance. All around -- very enjoyable experience, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Just saw Dr. Will Garcia for an exam and to set up a treatment plan. I'm super dental phobic, but I have to say I feel like this place was the right choice. Everyone was friendly and my experience with Dr. Will was amazing - he explained everything thoroughly and didn't feel rushed. I can't believe I don't feel afraid to go back and get things taken care of. 10/10! p.s. Heidi the hygienist is exceptional; very kind, takes time to listen, has initiative and is able to address some issues beyond routine cleaning. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Awesome service from front to back. Everyone made me feel calm and at ease. Paige, Shakira, my technician (sorry forget your name), and Dr. Nicholas are amazing. Thank you so much for your help. Update: 1/13/25 Went in for my cleaning. The person at the front desk (apologies, I forgot their name) helped me get my insurance sorted out and let me know how much the visit would cost out of pocket. Also was able to get my wife scheduled as well! Super helpful and friendly. Elijah helped with the pretreatment fun stuff and made me feel relaxed and calm (I tend to get nervous at the dentist). Paige was an absolute professional, skillful, and knowledgeable. She even put on some Netflix for me as she was well aware of my nervouness. (Now I'm a binge watching Wednesday at home ). The person that I closed out with, broke down the invoice clearly and helped schedule my next appointment. Really capping off such a great dental experience at 9:30 am on a freakin Monday!

Fantastic experience: Timber dental is outstanding. My previous dentist stopped taking my insurance, which turned into a blessing when I found this place. My dentist and their assistants have been nothing short of spectacular. The customer service I received when I cracked a molar randomly was borderline absurd. I was in their office within an hour of reporting the problem and received top notch care. At the risk of more people making them busy, I must report, Timber is the best dentist experience I've ever had.

Negative experience: Hit or miss but my experience was not very ideal. But I’m giving three stars and not one or two because I don’t genuinely believe this is the worst practice ever and not everyone has the same experience. Long story but I had fillings done at the Sherwood location back in February and one of my teeth had become painful after the filling was done and I tried multiple attempts to get the dentist down there to do something about it. Their dentist was very nice but after those fillings, I felt uncomfortable going down there again because it was such a far drive from where I live and I did not want anything else to go wrong with my teeth, despite being told it was most likely normal. Next up, I went to the MLK location because it is so much closer to me and saw Dr. Nicholas, due to there being no proof of a cavity in that tooth (we did multiple x rays), she prescribed me chlorhexidine mouth wash and referred me to go all the way back to Sherwood to get the filling redone by Dr. Mattson. I was not extremely happy about this after explaining to them I did not want to go all the way back to Sherwood but I finally made an appointment down there and made the 45 minute drive, specifically told their receptionist on the phone I wanted this to be a filling appointment so the pain in this tooth could go away. Turns out the tooth BEHIND IT was cracked and she put a crown on it, but did absolutely nothing about the tooth that was actually bothering me, as she said to wait a few weeks and see if the pain would go away, it didn’t. I will give them props because they were able to have my fabricated crown sent to the MLK location closer to me, instead of making me drive all the way back to Sherwood because at that point I did not want to keep coming to that location. However today I thought Dr. Nicholas was going to be my dentist for my appointment and was never told in advance that it would be a different dentist, and I feel like most other clients would not like getting a different dentist either without any warning in advance because it keeps leading to different diagnoses for tooth pain. I wish I could have gotten the painful tooth crowned a longer time ago as I’m moving soon, however the dentist I had today told me it could be done which is great (Dr. Mattson in Sherwood didn’t recommend it). I think they mean well, but I wish they would be more upfront with clients and not say they agree to services that they won’t provide when we come in for our appointments or at least go into more detail BEFORE the appointment as to why that is, like my filling. So I am not saying this specific location is awful but the contradicting information I’ve been given to by more than one provider through Timber as a company has led me to not feel very comfortable coming back here again as I feel like this issue should have been resolved a lot sooner than four months.

Fantastic experience: Dr Eid is fantastic! I'm what you might call dentist-shy, and everyone at Timber Dental has made me feel welcome and safe. They are efficient without seeming hurried, and give just the right amount of information while your mouth is full of cotton.

Fantastic experience: I found my way to their door last week as I was trying to find a new dental provider that accepted my Medicare Advantage from BC/BS. We had a pleasant chat and confirmed the appointment for yesterday. Upon arrival, it was a fun exchange as I had showed up the previous day by mistake, at 66 sometimes I do that. I was greeted and felt cared for, I'm a relationship kind of guy, and I was "met where I was at". Which is really cool. Professional, light touch with the x-rays, thank-you! Fantastic experience: The office was very clean, the x-ray tech was very sweet, the dentist (Dr. Sharifah Eid) was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and kind, and the front desk staff explained my insurance coverage patiently to me. They even provide parking. 5/5 experience

Fantastic experience: I switched to Timber Dental in May 2023. I like the service they provide. My dentist, Dr. Eide is very considerate and an excellent professional. I find the hygienist and office staff to be conscientious and proficient.

Fantastic experience: My dentist explained my options & what to expect before we began the procedure. Everyone was friendly and helpful on my first time there. I am well pleased with the outcome.

Negative experience: I have had great experiences with all my dental work here, but my pregnant wife just got refused a teeth cleaning because she didn't want new x-rays while pregnant, and she hadn't had the required (??) x-rays with them within the last year. It was 21 months ago, with them. Evidently, it's "the standard of care". Well, not according to the Oregon Board of Dentistry. Seems pretty inflexible and surprising to lose business over this.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Garcia is truly an angel! He always puts me at ease and I never feel any pain. For anyone who has anxiety around dentistry, Dr. Garcia is amazing. He is also great with preventative measures and sharing knowledge. Timber always feels like a sanctuary! Paige is an amazing Hygienist! Dr. E. is thorough and kind!

Fantastic experience: I'm so impressed! You are not a number here, you're a person. I highly recommend this office!! Mikayla greeted me with a kind smile and helped me figure out some missing paperwork issue (not their bad, a different office), she was also diligent in making sure my insurance information was correct at close so I knew exactly what I'd be paying for the services recommended/requested. Both Kristi and Heidi were excellent in helping me get ready for Dr. Nicholas. My teeth feel so clean and I was checked in on multiple times. They tell you why things take a certain amount of time here, they don't just expect you to wait. They also make sure you're the most comfortable you can be. Dr. Nicholas was kind and explained everything, I never felt like I was being sold on a procedure I didn't need. Thank you for your person-centered trauma-informed approach! 10/10.

Fantastic experience: Easy to check in and schedule appointments and clean office. I have gotten several cleanings here and had two wisdom teeth removed. They provided information on the risks and the doctor was great about answering all the dumb questions I had about the extraction. Everything went well and they made a follow-up call afterwards to see how it was going. Good experience.

Fantastic experience: I’m a known as a “difficult” dental patient. Lots of past trauma and easily triggered. Timber Dental has repeatedly bent over backwards to make me feel safe and comfortable, AND addressed the times where I felt they fell short. I don’t know what I would do w/o them. They should make nitrous at cost though or closer to it. They do charge top dollar for it based on my research.
