Positive experience: We were new patients so in preparation we brought and pre-completed all necessary documents. The front reception/office was very courteous and efficient; processed paperwork quickly. The dentist examined our chompers, inspected gums, and checked x-rays, bite, and under the tongue. The hygienist did a thorough job cleaning our teeth; you can tell she loves her profession. Four Stars due to only having one hygienist at this branch. Otherwise, great service.

Fantastic experience: I had my 6 month dental cleaning today and Calli is the BEST!

Positive experience: They were the first place to measure how far my gums had pulled away from my teeth, a result of gum disease which is not reversible. They also take x-rays every time I go, not just once a year. Now I only need cleanings two times a year, not three. They bill both Medicare and Medicaid; I've had no billing problems. Efficiency, however, can feel rather impersonal. Speak up! Ask questions. Be prepared for some receptionists to be friendly; others not so much. OCTOBER 2025: the receptionist knows my name as soon as I walk up, a big improvement I'm glad to see. I went in for my 6-month cleaning. X-rays showed I had developed three cavities. Fortunately, Dr. Akshay Menon had time to take me right then. The assistant rubbed gel on my gums; I waited 45 minutes. Dr. Menon injected numbing; I waited 45 minutes. It was worth the extra time! For the first time, the injection didn't hurt. I was numb all the way to my eye-lid for 3 hours, but the actual fillings DIDN'T hurt at all. FIVE-STARS!

Fantastic experience: Wow - When I tell you that Element Dental & Orthodontics is amazing, I mean it! I had previously went to another dentist in town (Aspen Dental) to get my teeth cleaned and they examined my teeth and gave me a quote for thousands of dollars worth of dental work that they said HAD to be DONE before I could get my teeth cleaned! I would have had to pay thousands out of pocket, even with the insurance I had. They said I had peridontal disease. My intuition told me to tell them I would think about it, because I felt they were price gouging and committing fraud or something. Well, I just came back from seeing the dentist at Element Dental for the first time - not only do I NOT have peridontal disease, but they cleaned my teeth and gave me a quote for further dental work that I requested. All would be covered under my insurance! They were so caring and professional. I let them know that I could hug them because of my happiness - and that they were now my dentist for the foreseeable future! The appointment went fast my teeth are very clean and future appointments have been made to continue on with my dental needs! Make sure you choose them as your dentist TODAY and not the other guys!

Fantastic experience: This office has really turned around with new staff over the past few years. They really care about their patients and make them feel comfortable and treat them like family!!!! Negative experience: When I talk to the lady on the phone she was short and not very nice. The lady doing the x-rays didn't even put on the radiation sheild on husband so she was just shooting away and everyone knows that doing x rays are not good for you thats why they minimize it by putting protective gear. The dentist only talked for a minute then left. This was only a first initial visit for dentures so really just pictures and planning. We sat for 2 hours. And the all they did was complain about the state of my husband's teeth, just a horrible experience. I would suggest you go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I can't thank them enough for seeing me on an emergency basis and doing everything that needed to be done on that visit. My tooth was split all the way down thru the root and it was very painful. It needed extraction. A bone graft was recommended for better healing and future partials. They did all of it right then. The equipment was top of the line, state of the art. I've never seen anything like it. The staff were all very friendly, with the absolute best bedside manner. I am kind of shocked that I had a good dental experience. This place will be my go to place forever. Thank you guys!

Fantastic experience: Got me in pretty quickly. I did not have an appointment, but came in on an emergency basis because I had a chipped tooth that was infected and cutting my tongue. The infection spread to my jaw bone. They got the tooth out, with great difficulty I might add, and did a bone graft to fix the damage to my jaw. Thank you so very much! You did a great job! I feel so much better! I would recommend you to everyone!

Positive experience: So where do I start so yesterday I had my first apt, so I showed up to it on time and when I walked in to let them know I had arrived the young lady at the front tells my apt was canceled. So I then asked why it was canceled, she then tells me that it was not confirmed. So I pulled at my phone where I had confirmation where someone called me a week prior to one ask me to confirm my apt and two to inform me that there will not be a doctor available when my husband goes in for his 1st dental apt. She said " we'll there is nothing I can do and idk who you spoke with so we will haft to reschedule you" I suddenly got upset because I took off from work and knew I had confirmed already... So I asked to speak to a office manager and this other young lady that is sitting in the same area named " Leslie " she already has attitude written all over her face and pretty much says " well idk who u spoke with but there is only 2 options and no other ,one u can reschedule or two you can cancel and its not open for debate those are the only 2 options" I said well how is this my fault when I confirmed it with your office staff and they did not do there job. She didn't try to find out anything or go over and beyond even with the proof that i had spoke with someone already,even knowing that I took off for the dentist apt NOT A DAMN THING ,SHE WAS SO RUDE. I work at a doctor's office and we would NOT treat a patient this way ever. When I asked for cooperate office number they gave me a email....lol jokes on them I know some people that work for this same company just different location so I got the number to the human resources and the person in charge of this clinic...I did return today since ive waited 3 months litteraly for an apt and needed to see the dentist ,the front staff really needs to be replaced or needs some customer service classes...Now the back staff including doctors are awesome and very friendly, very good at what they do. I would have given this place 5 stars ,but thanks to Leslie and the other girl at the very front when you walk in, I gave it 3 stars.

Fantastic experience: After neglecting taking care of my teeth for two years w/out seeing a dentist I had a severe toothache which needed attention & Element Dental in Lufkin worked me in on an emergency basis. That happened in March 2025. I decided that I would continue to see the dentist going forward & this appointment, June 2025, was for my first scheduled cleaning. Everyone from the X-ray technician to the dental hygienist to the dentist all provided me w/excellent care & attention. I am looking forward to our relationship as a patient & provider growing going forward.

Fantastic experience: I am terrified of the dentist, and I was so afraid for my appointment. The staff really took the time to make me feel comfortable and ensure that I was ok. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind. Callie did my cleaning and I felt no pain. And Dr. Brooke was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining my treatment plan. Highly recommend. 10/10 experience. I’m not afraid of the dentist anymore :)

Negative experience: I scheduled an appointment over 2 months ago over a chipped tooth for May 9th. I repeatedly called in to try and get my appointment moved up and was confirmed repeatedly that my appointment was on May 9th. I go in on May 9th for that appointment to be told that I have no appointment. So thank you for nothing. I still get a chipped tooth and I get to find a new dentist, because I will not be going back to this office for a single thing.

Fantastic experience: Love the team they have here! So much so I took out the time to write this review. Very Clean. The ladies make me feel like we are family. Was extremely sad my old dentist is gone. The new one seems nice.

Fantastic experience: Well didn’t get to have my dental work completed today due to computer problems. Dust patient of the day and I get bumped to a time that was not doable because the other patients were already scheduled after me. I had taken the day off work for this appt. Now I have to use more of my PTO for something beyond my control. I feel cheated. I love Dr Edward’s but I fell the office staff should have seen me soon as there computers come back up instead of bumping to the end of the day.

Fantastic experience: I love this place. I bring my kids to element for both dental and orthodontics services and have nothing but good things to say about both. Everyone is professional, knowledgeable, kind, patient, and great with my kids. The office itself is clean and very well put-together. I want to especially commend Leslie at the front desk for going above and beyond for us this morning by contacting my insurance to help straighten some things out quickly so we wouldn't have to reschedule.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Edwards is so conscientious of our families dental needs, available finances, and what procedures actually need to be completed. He is not about money, but the best dental care for the most reasonable price. With a family of five, we really appreciate that he takes everything into consideration and treats us the way he would want to be treated. When we go, we know that we will be treated with thoughtfulness and kindness. He puts our mind as ease. He always does an amazing job! I like how he hums to the music, engages in conversation, and talks about the procedure, while he is working. One time, as he was completing an implant he said, “Well, that is a great job!” It made me laugh, because I knew if he thought he did a great job, I sure wouldn’t be disappointed. That tooth is perfectly centered and straight. We’re glad that he is at Element Dental! The entire office atmosphere has changed for the better, since he arrived. From the front of the house to the back door, the staff are friendly, kind, professional, and work hard to make each appointment pleasurable and stress free. Thank you!
