Fantastic experience: I went for a cleaning today and Bri Tucker was amazing. She was very professional and did an excellent job on my cleaning and Explaining things to me . Will go back again as long as she’s the one taking care of me.

Negative experience: If I could give this place a zero star I would. Had a bridge done there, and less than a year later my bridge has broken. They attached a total of 10-13 teeth to one bridge. I refused to call them back about their error or even go back to them. I am seeing another dentist to fix their error. Think twice before going to them. Get a second or third opinion.

Fantastic experience: Thank God for Kiya at the front desk because lord knows my tooth was hurting so bad I couldn't even think straight. She helped me figure out my information, reprinted my referral from my last appointment, found and got me scheduled with an oral surgeon. Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. All visits leading up to the actual visit I had to have the actual "work" done went fine. I had 4 simple extractions....I've had extensive dental work over the last 20+ years so im very familiar of how everything should go, feel, etc. First off this Dr. Kwoleek or however u say it. Is cocky, arrogant, and rude. He came in gave a few numbing shots and immediately went to extracting teeth. I immedietely let him know that I was feeling pain. Every dentist i have ever been too has always told me if u feel anything just let me know, we dont want u to hurt. Not this one. He basically implied i was an idiot and what i was feeling wasnt pain it was "pressure" uhhh I know the difference between pain and pressure. I had been hurting for months and needed this work done and thought ok, maybe it's just because he didnt give numbing meds enough time to work..it will get completely numb before it gets too bad. Nope. It got excruciatingly worse. I never once screamed, cried out, anything while he was pulling that first tooth after he gave me a lecture about the difference between pain and pressure. Mid extraction of the 1st tooth it hurt so bad I had tears....when the Dr noticed the tears roll down my cheek. I heard him toss whatever tool he was using down on the tray and start taking his gloves off. He said "you know what, i think our best bet here is to refer u out, if u cant handle pressure maybe u need to be fully sedated for your teeth to be pulled" so here I am, with 1 extraction almost done and he's telling me he's gonna send me somewhere that will take god knows how long to even be seen while you literally have one tooth half way out of my mouth??? What was i suppose to do? Suffer even worse for me to try to get in to somewhere else?? I told him to just do what he needed to do, I would stop crying. Having the 4 teeth extracted im sure only took a few minutes. But to me it felt like hours. The pain was so bad I literally almost felt myself on the verge of passing out in the chair. I honestly feel like if it had lasted a second longer I would have. Ive literally given birth to a child with no pain meds, all natural. The pain of this procedure was right there in that same category. He basically pulled 4 of my teeth with absolutely no numbing meds working at all. On the last tooth he made the comment "ok im almost all done just gotta make sure I get all of this infection out of here" INFECTION??? are u kidding me?? No wonder the numbing meds didnt work...they dont when there's infection present. Everybody and every dentist knows that. But he literally made me feel like a complete idiot who didnt know the difference between pressure and pain while I felt him yank 4 teeth from my head. The whole time, mind you, listening to him talk to the assistant about how he apparently is so good he teaches other dentist how to do implants and he has all these power points and etc. Like I said I've had alot of dental work throughout my life, seen several different dentist thru the years. Ive never in my life left a dental apt feeling completely humiliated and emotional. And nobody cared at all. I will never be back and I will tell everyone I know not to go here. If it saves one person from going thru what I went thru that day. I cant be the only one who has experienced this with this dentist. There is no way. How he has a job or hasn't been sued is beyond me. The whole experience was very traumatic to say the least. And yet, the dr. The assistant, or anyone else there seemed to care. I sincerely hope people see this before they make an apt and go thru the same thing i did.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Smile Makers for about 5 years. The ENTIRE staff is beyond nice and helpful, they actually care about you as a person and not a number, and they know it’s cold in there so they give you blankets lol. I wish I could take them to Birmingham with me.

Negative experience: (wait was pretty long) anyway!!! I went to the dentist and complained about tooth pain and sensitivity and honestly got no explanation telling me there's nothing wrong or they don't see anything!l that could be causing the pain. Two weeks later my teeth are still hurting and I don't know what to do you just can't visit dentist multiple times a year cause that's the insurance right? Twice a year! I go to another dentist emergency appointment and they tell me my teeth are cracked and rotten the ones that's hurting, so you tell me do they not what they doing here or the other dentist? This is ridiculous honestly

Fantastic experience: My dental hygienist is the absolute best. She does a great job every time. I don’t necessarily like the cost of dental work but who does? The service is absolutely worth it.

Positive experience: My hygienist was a little bit too rough with flossing between my teeth where I tasted blood in my mouth.

Negative experience: My father has dealt with this dental office for awhile and had many experiences with them. Today, my father had a procedure to get permanent implants put in. During the procedure, his numbing medication was not working so he could feel everything. The dentist knew that the numbing medication was not working, and continued to go through. The procedure lasted 4 hours, all four hours my dad could feel everything and was visibly distressed. The dentist should not have continued as soon as he realized the medication was not working. I do not recommend this place to anyone. My father went through something very traumatic, I do not want anyone else to go through something like this.

Positive experience: Everyone on staff was very pleasant and efficient. I enjoyed my consultation with Tasha Dr. Barganier. The temporary tooth placeholder for the final crown Is not actually a good fit. It is too close to the other teeth, And I can’t even get the floss in between them. That’s not good for the health of my other natural teeth. I hope the permanent is not the same shape.

Every experience at SM has been a positive one and I am grateful for that. Bree did my cleaning today and she is awesome. Very attentive to any need I may have during the process. Fantastic experience: Friendly and caring environment. Very accommodating and helpful

Negative experience: I tried them out with some extensive dental work including implants. Three out of four implants show metal roots out of the gum. When a plan failed and the dentist changed the plan and promised to cover the expenses for the part that failed, but the center kept on billing me for the portion. They don’t do any dental work unless you pay in full. I went back and did consultation for those roots when I was disputing the charges. They looked at it and apologized and promised to fix them free of charge but never heard back from them for an appointment. After half a year, I went back and asked again, and the owner did another evaluation and told me the dentist who worked for him that did the dental work retired and he is not responsible for it. Even though they suppose to charge within network for my insurance but with implants I don’t think there is a limit since my insurance does not cover much at all. I changed to another dentist and he did wonderful job with an implant that is at a lower bone density area and my implant is not showing any metal part at the gum area. And the price is way cheaper even thought he owner claimed no difference. It is a horrible experience, especially after I spent over 10k out of my own pockets and still have to worry about implants falling apart. The only thing the owner said is for me to go consult a specialist. He did not even give me a recommendation letter. All he cares about is the money. I will not go back to them or recommend them to anyone.

Negative experience: I talked to a live rep yesterday & got an appt today. Showed up & the office is closed - no signs as to holiday closure, nothing. Did I miss something, did you move to a new?location? Very strange

Negative experience: My last experience here was less than desirable. Upon making my appointment for an extraction due to a cracked molar, I was told that I had to prepay for my share that was not covered by my insurance, which was about $70. I thought all was well until I received a bill in the mail for an additional $426 because a cone beam CT was performed and it was not covered by my insurance. I believe that I should have been informed of the cost prior to the service being done. I already had X-rays done on the broken crown prior to the tooth being extracted. In addition, I also had a cleaning done a few months prior where they did not find anything wrong when I mentioned the same tooth giving me problems. At least now I know why the person doing the extraction made a side comment about "he was going to be paid regardless." I wish they had been upfront about the charges beforehand and not charged for services that they knew would most likely not be covered by insurance.

Fantastic experience: I found this practice based on reviews when I moved back four years ago, and I have not been disappointed. Each hygienist has been very thorough, as have the two dentists I’ve seen. The dentists both identified a couple of problems that have existed for a while, to which I had not previously been alerted; each discussed options and costs to remedy them. The first showed me indicators I’ve been grinding my teeth for years and recommended an OTC mouth guard from CVS, WAL-MART or Amazon, which was a tough fit for my tiny mouth and big teeth. Only negative: when I bit the bullet and had them fit me for a custom guard, I’d been told by the first dentist it would cost $240, and did not request a breakdown when measurements taken. It cost over $600 and was so tight that it was giving me a headache from the jaw pain. It seems that this is a common problem with custom guards, and I’ve never complained, until the 2d dentist asked me about it after reading my chart. Still love the treatment and care at SMILEMAKERS. Today’s hygienist was particularly thorough, taking the time to go back in after stubborn tarter build-up, which was a first for me: MICHELLE - Thank you for the best cleaning I’ve ever had!! And GENTLE too.

Fantastic experience: I went in on 5/15/2025 for a crown assessment. As always, the staff was very welcoming and professional, and the wait time was pretty short. I was given a treatment plan to think about then advised to call back for an appointment when ready.

Fantastic experience: Staff is always Professional and Polite. The Dentists and Tech are very comforting, accommodating and do their best to keep pain away. They have a handicap adapted office, so my red scooter is easy to navigate their offices! I am having every crown replaced and they do very complex work and they make it look so easy! The results are stunning! I know I'll have a million dollar smile I'll be their best wheelchair model of lovely teeth. I know, they ARE crowns, but they ARE MY teeth, I PAID for them!

Fantastic experience: I previously worked in the dental career field in the military for over 20 years and this establishment is right on point with my expectations. It has the same caliber of professionalism and skilled personnel to take care of patients! This was my second visit to Smilemakers and everything went just as smooth and efficient as the first one. The office has a very efficient and organized process, and ALL of the people are very professional, and extremely knowledgeable! I had to have a dental bridge removed, that was done less than six months ago and the dentist was very detailed about why it needed to be replaced She showed me the exact reasons and both her and the assistant did and exceptional job removing the old dental bridge and prepping my teeth for a new one. At this point, it's been a great experience and I'm looking forward to the next visits! Everyone that I've met and has visited this office was exactly right about it being one of the best of the BEST!

Fantastic experience: I usually don’t write reviews, but this team deserves one! From the front desk to the dentist, they are amazing! They are so kind and do everything possible to make you comfortable and at ease. My husband and I used another dentist for 15 years that was rough in his technique as well as his bedside manner. We just accepted it because it seemed too much of a hassle to change. Circumstances brought us to Smilemakers last year, and we both are relieved and amazed by their level of care. If you put your smile in their hands, you won’t regret it.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. Unorganized staff and cancellations last minute-even when I had teeth extracted I could not get in touch with them and it took over an hour for them to call back. After my first extractions; while I was still under sedation and biting on gauze; the worker said I owed hundreds of dollars. I prepaid for the extractions so I knew I owed nothing. When I asked she simply repeated the amount owed with no explanation in an extremely rude manner. I ended up getting a credit as I did pre pay and the worker was obviously mistaken. I was shuffled through 2 different doctors-dealing with cancellations and hard to reach staff the entire time. I ended up transferring my records to a much better and compassionate dentist. Please do not go here if you can help it-waste of time and money and completely unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: The registration personnel was welcoming, attentive and kind. My hygienist, Carolyn, was top tier! I truly appreciated how knowledgeable and gentle she was. Dr. Barganier usually completes my assessments, but was out of the office. However, the other dentist was extremely kind and took the time to share valuable insight with me on how to maintain the health of my gums. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Fry & Barganier since they were on Zelda Rd. and I would highly recommend them.
