Fantastic experience: I went and had all my teeth top and bottom pulled and received Dentures. The ENTIRE staff here is amazing and so supportive and attentive. I had extreme anxiety and judy the thought of it made me more nervous. They made me feel calm and heard and not anxious. Welcoming and comforting from the very first visit. They went above and beyond to help me. The day of surgery went great and the Dentist Dr.Boatman called me that evening to check on me. I’ve never had a dentist call to check on me and make sure I was doing okay afterwards. I would recommend this Family of dentist to anyone that is looking for help with their teeth. Fantastic experience: I have had a fear of dentists all my life and have had bad teeth from a young age. My health was being affected and so I finally knew I had to address my dental needs. I did research online and chose Troy Family Dental and am so happy I did. . I had full mouth implants and could not be happier! The staff was great, appointments were timely and overall wonderful experience.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ong & Elena were absolutely amazing with me. I went in the office today as a new patient with pretty bad dental anxiety and a terrible tooth needing removed. They spent HOURS with me, talking out my fears and assuring me everything would be okay. I went in willing to spend the money for sedation, but with their patience I faced my fears and felt so empowered leaving the office. They never made me feel rushed, they picked up on all my cues, and I could literally go on and on about them. I have definitely found my new dental home with them!

Fantastic experience: Very professional office staff, always courteous, kind and knowledgeable. On time for appointment. Technicians are very proficient and always keep you informed of what they are doing. Dr. Spencer always does a follow-up from technician and regards his patients as friends.

Negative experience: Called to make a appointment asked if they took blue cross Blue shield..Wich is through employer not the state and they said no immediately then was like well depends on the plan..I have the best plan they offer but they seemed to put out to even check..so I'll just take my business elsewhere..just rude people

Fantastic experience: I chose Troy Family Dental for my implants because they seemed to be the best provider. I've had my first surgical appointment for the implants of my upper teeth. The doctors and staff have done a wonderful job of making me feel very comfortable. They are cordial and go the mile to make sure I understand the treatments. I feel I can ask any questions as I think of them and they are always ready and willing to give me clear answers. The picture was taken at home the evening of my first surgery. These are the temporary teeth.

Fantastic experience: Writing this review for any of you that are on the fence about getting dental implants from Troy Family Dental. Reviews are the whole reason I chose Troy Family Dental. I've honestly never had good experience with any dentist until now. Spent about a year contemplating and doing my homework worrying I would have a lot of pain from getting dental implants I put in a lot of leg work to find what I consider the best dentist out there. About a week ago I got all my bottom teeth pulled and temporary implants put in and in another week I will have the tops done I can honestly say I am amazed how little pain that I've had from having all of my lower teeth pulled and having implants put in for the all on four. I wouldn't even consider it pain maybe just a little discomfort and here it is a week out from that procedure and there is no pain no discomfort and they feel like my real teeth amazing is all I can say. I drove two and a half hours to have this done and to be honest I would probably Drive a thousand miles Dr Spencer and his crew are in my book The Best of the Best when it comes to Dentistry and I can't wait to get my uppers done in a week thank you Troy Family Dental One year update ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Spencer and everyone at Troy Family Dental — truly a top-notch team. Fantastic experience: I need sedation dentistry and Troy Family Dental offers it. All of the staff were pleasant, helpful and concerned about my dental needs. Dr. Spencer kept me at ease. Looking forward to my procedure! This is the place to visit for all of your dental needs! Appliance arrived. Getting used to wearing the partial appliance. Today Dr. Spencer "tweaked" it a bit, smoothed out a few rough places, even on my crown, upper left. Feels better than okay, which is good. I'll be back to see my hygienist, Shawna, in October, and a check on the appliance. Now, learning to eat an ear of corn with my appliance in!

Fantastic experience: We recently moved to another city and tried the dentist there, but nothing compares to the friendly yet still professional atmosphere at Troy Family Dental. My two children said in the car ride home, “it’s worth the drive. I’d climb Mt. Kilimanjaro to go to Dr. Boatman.”

Negative experience: Troy family dental has very friendly and wonderful staff and doctors. Office is clean and they have a lot of very fancy scanners and equipment, but it appears they passed that expense onto their patients. I gave them 2 stars only because they are the most expensive dentist I’ve ever been to. They scare you by having you look under a microscope at the bacteria in your mouth, then try to sell you a $1,700 cleaning treatment that consists of about 2 visits. I was told I needed 2 root canals, each being $5,000 each. A different dentist quoted about $400 w/insurance per root canals. A tooth pulled - $350…after insurance. My last dentist charged $40 after insurance. My proposed bill was around $14,000…INSANE. That’s for 2 root canals and a full cleaning treatment. Idk how anybody can afford that. And that’s not all I needed, just the most important stuff. I really like the office and would have stayed if they had reasonable prices for treatment. I’d have to take out a separate mortgage to afford this dentist. If you’re rich, this may be the dentist for you. If you already struggle out here in the real world, like me, look elsewhere for treatment. Don’t even waste your time.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time at Troy Family Dental. I was referred there by my boyfriend.. and I am so happy I was! The staff was so amazing. I was really insecure about my situation, and I did not feel judged at all. Educated me on the causes and future prevention. I felt so comfortable there, was definitely the right decision. I can not wait to get my work done and get back on the right track.

Fantastic experience: I came in with excruciating pain with an infection and left one satisfied customer. My father who is no longer with us had recommended this Dr. to me and I sure am glad that I listened to him. Fantastic experience: I currently live in Florida and Dr, Boatman was my dentist prior to moving. In March I was told I would need extensive dental work. I decided to get a second opinion from Dr Boatman. I called the office and let them know when I would be back in Illinois and I was able to get an appointment. I saw Dr. Boatman and he was able to resolve my problem in one visit with a follow up appointment in four months to complete the treatment. Dr. Boatman saved me countless hours and money on dental work that was not necessary.

Negative experience: Where do I start. Honestly I am shocked they are still in business. Years ago my wife and I went to Boatman not knowing that he has the nickname the “root canal king”. First time I went. I was told I needed three root canals. I trusted him. Had them done. Even with both my wife and I having the best dental insurance, I had to pay a ton of money out of pocket. Later found out they were billing both our insurances for the same work and billing me too. Their pricing was three times as much as everyone else. One of the crowns he installed was ground down so much that it had the gold underlayment showing through. As soon as I got in my car I saw it and went back in. Boatman’s daughter was rudely arguing with me that because it was a molar tooth this is normal. No way this was normal. After 15 minutes of back and forth, Boatman got involved and ordered a new one. I didn’t know any better and went back a second time. Told me I needed three more root canals. This time I declined and went to another dentist. I had exrays done by the second dentist and told nothing was wrong with any of my teeth!!! My wife has the same experience with shoddy work and extremely high pricing. She also was tried to be sold multiple root canals that were not needed. We stopped going. An ex employee told us that he even hired a company to do great reviews to cover up the bad ones. I would strongly recommend you get a second opinion on any work if you don’t trust the real reviews. I would also look at what you are being charged and what is being billed to your insurance.

Fantastic experience: As far as Dentists go, (I can't Believe I'm saying this) it's a Pleasure going to Troy Family Dental. The Staff is always Great, Everything is Very Clean, They work around Your schedule the Best They can. They send reminders and Always a Pleasant Voice on the other end of the phone. I've been taking My Family there for over 20 Years. We moved a few years ago, and now I'm driving an extra 25 minutes to get there. (You know what?) I would drive even farther than that to keep getting the Great Service like that. I LOVE MY DENTIST AND STAFF .

Negative experience: Don’t waste your time most arrogant dentist I have ever come in contact with in seeking treatment. Actually asked me if I did illegal drugs due to dry mouth. I had to explain to him I has sinus medication that was drying me out which had he taken the time to reach my questionnaire he would have known. Insulting to a normal looking 50 year old man with no drug use. Must have made others upset they still call asking if I want treatment even though it was 6 month ago I told them to kiss off due to how I was treated. Must be hard up for money not surprising based on the treatment.

Upon my return it was a good visit, professionally he fix my tooth at no charge. On a personal note we had a chance to catch up. I would recommend this practice with no reservation. The entire staff is excellent. Customer Service has to be a skill set in order to work at Troy Family Dental.

Fantastic experience: Erin and Dr. Boatman were so very nice and explained everything that could be done for the treatment of how to go about getting full mouth dentures. The office was extremely clean and very inviting. They did not pressure me with doing something that day. They gave me all the information so I can make an informed decision. Negative experience: I have been in horrible pain for over 2 weeks ever since you worked on my teeth. Was on no pain pills before and now have to take them constantly. My husband keeps telling me that you will make it right and I certainly hope that is true! I have pain now where there was none before. I expected to have pain taken away not made so much worse! Update: It has been 4 months now and I am still in pain with no relief in sight! Expected better results for how EXPENSIVE the treatment has been! This was the WORST and MOST EXPENSIVE dental experience of my life!!!

He knows I always have a lot of anxiety before the visit and makes sure to take time to calm my nerves and reassure me that all will be well and it always turns out just as he says. The staff from the moment you walk in till you leave makes you feel as you are their top priority. They are always well trained on the latest technology and equipment and constantly checking to make sure you understand everything they are doing. I highly recommend Dr. Boatmen to everyone. I have always been extremely pleased with every procedure I have had completed.

Fantastic experience: I was having a dental emergency and my original dentist did not want to see me because he was out of the office. Troy Family not only got me in super fast, but they identified the problems and gave me immediate relief, all making sure I was comfortable during the entire process.
