I thank Community Shores for working with me for a year to do each step and appointment to now completion. They were very clear about the timeline and what to expect and the office staff are always so helpful and accommodating.

Positive experience: Got a filling but the person drilling before putting the filling caught my other tooth with the drill tool and now it is extra pointy

My family drives over an hour to see them. From the time you walk in the door until when you leave they always have your best interest. They are very compassionate and put you first. This team does an amazing job!

Fantastic experience: I have been a customer of Port City Dental, now known as Community Shores Dental, since 2019. The past four years, especially after the transition to CSD, have been very pleasant. Doctors Cinder and Guimaraes are empathetic, informative, and genuinely focused on doing what’s right for their patients, rather than just making a quick profit. As someone who asks a lot of questions and is highly interested in taking necessary precautionary measures, I appreciate their approach. Both doctors understand the importance of being conservative in dental work to preserve the quality of teeth while also providing extensive information about dental anatomy. My dental hygienist, Mandy, is also exemplary. She provides great customer service and is diligent in her work. I don't think anyone looks forward to visiting the dentist, but at least here you can be assured that you won't be sold any lies and that you will receive honest and quality services. Positive experience: Nice atmosphere and pleasant experience while in office. The hygienist and dentists were very nice. However they nickel and dime you for everything. Management was not helpful or accommodating with billing concerns. They suggested services that we were not due for then charged us because they could not bill insurance and did not tell us these were services outside of the normal cleaning. The manager claimed we should know our insurance, after the first time this happened I added a note to our account that we only wanted the additional service once a year when covered by insurance. The note was ignored at my son’s appointment and we received a charge for the service. This had been a pattern where each appointment we are charged something outside of the normal cleaning. They try to upsell you at almost every appointment. It very much feels like you are a customer and not patient. In speaking with my colleagues, they have also had this experience. After several visits we have decided to switch to another dentist.

Negative experience: POV: What do you think about this? I've been a patient for years and never stuck this office with a balance. I got a letter from my insurance administrator and had to send my premium payments to a new address, they didn't receive my payment in time for my root canal today, but assured me that my visit would be covered. I also had half of what my out of pocket cost would be ($400 cash). This office texted and told me not to come to my appointment! I have been getting my dental work there for years and I have sent many people to them. There's lots of Dentist in the area...SEE YA!!!!! UPDATE: 6/16/25, I FINALLY HAD A SECOND OPINION (AND A CLEANING). ACCORDING TO MY DENTIST DR. FISCHER, I DO NOT NEED A ROOT CANAL AND CROWN! I would like to state for the record, I was never given options for my previous appointment at Community Shores Dental!

Positive experience: I want to start off by saying this office is amazing when it comes to cleanings and staff members being very nice. This is the first time I’ve had a terrible experience at this office. My appointment was at 8:00am today and I showed up 10 minutes early. I seen people come in after me and get helped before me. That’s fine, I stayed patient because I didn’t think anything of it. As the time kept passing I was getting a little frustrated cause I still haven’t been called. At this point there was nobody in the waiting room but me and one other person. It becomes 8:40 and I’m clearly over the wait so I go up to the front counter and ask them what time my appointment was. The lady said oh my gosh your appointment was at 8:00, let me see what’s going on. Now the lady that checked me in at the beginning looked as well and she said that apparently “one of the subs didn’t show.” Now I’m heated because she also said she didn’t see I was still sitting here as I’m sitting right in front of her. I had an hour and 20 minutes to spare at the dentist till I had to go to work. I was not staying any longer because how much longer am I going to have to sit and wait. I already knew if they got me back I would be late for work. I ended up getting rescheduled for a different day but that is bs.

Positive experience: customer service the people that work there were great.. but to me it is to pricey for some people to afford..

Negative experience: I have been a patient here for a few years and have had nothing but problems for the most part. I was numbed to fill two cavities at one visit and they could only do one. The most recent was I had a terrible sudden onset of tooth pain on a Sunday. I called the emergency # and I did not hear from a dentist for 2.5 hours after 3 calls and a text. Once he called me he said to take Tylenol and ibuprofen and call on Monday to maybe get seen. He was very dismissive and said “obviously we’re not open sundays”. The next morning I was called to come in and a very nice assistant named Lindsey helped me a lot and comforted me. Then a different dentist came in and said I could get a crown etc or get it pulled. I said I wanted it out. He was not comfortable doing that himself. No other dentist was available at this office. An office with at least 5 dentists. Lindsey then coordinated to schedule me that day at an oral surgeon who took care of it right then. I was told by a front office woman that the manager would reach out to me about mt bad phone experience on the Sunday and it’s now Thursday and I heard nothing. Of course they did send me a bill already.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about the staff here. They went above and beyond to make my sons appointment painless and comfortable. Also advising of financial reaponcibilities up front and follow up after care for this dizzy momma. A terrific place to be if you have to see a dentist.

Fantastic experience: I went in for my permanent crown. The dry fitting was perfectly placed with no adjustment necessary. Then the cement was applied, again it was perfect no need to grind or file down crown. I was in and out very quickly. Very happy! Thank you team!

Fantastic experience: Great place to get your dental care at. It’s beautifully decorated and my kids loved the chalk wall. The staff had a way of perfectly explaining questions my kids had so that they understood and I was very impressed with how kind and professional everyone in the office was. I will definitely be happily returning.

Dr. Matt Rogers took time to answer all my questions, explain all of my options and possible complications and give me his recommendations. He is so kind, personable and down to earth that I was comfortable with him immediately. The staff is wonderful, so friendly and helpful. They provided me with costs for the treatment I had chosen, including dental plans and financing. I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience.

Positive experience: I’ve been a patient at this dental office for over 7 years, and I’ve always appreciated the excellent care provided by the hygienist and dentist — both are consistently thorough, professional, and kind. However, I left today’s visit feeling deeply disappointed. The interaction I had with the front and back desk staff during checkout was disheartening. The tone and attitude I received did not reflect the same level of kindness and respect I’ve come to expect. The dismissive and belittling treatment made me feel unwelcome in a place I’ve trusted with my family’s care for many years. It’s unfortunate that such a great clinical team is not supported by equally respectful administrative staff. I hope this feedback prompts reflection and positive change in how all patients are treated, regardless of their race and financial background.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for about 4yrs. They’ve always been kind and always conversed with me about how I’ve been. I’ve had a crown fall off (I ate really tuff steak) and they got me in within three days. Sadly, I’m moving so I won’t be able to go to this dentistry clinic again. Positive experience: I went for my Cleaning and it was not the same experience I had last time. The last time the Dental assistant did the majority of my cleaning with the vibrating took because she understood I did not like the scraper on my teeth. This time around the Dental assistant was Amy who did the cleaning seemed like she did not want to use the vibrating took more than the scraping tool when I mentioned I preferred it. It was the tone in her voice that made me feel that way. Hopefully moving forward all of the dental assistants assigned to do cleanings take the patients concerns into account when providing services.
