Negative experience: It's cute they share photos reflecting a family friendly dental office.. misleading most definitely but also cute. This dentist office is a cut, drag & paste TNcare dentist which means- you will be treated and your physical care will be handled with the harshness, time consuming, uncaring, selfish, untrustworthy money-pit type of "care"you will receive and you "will like it" is their attitude.. unfortunately the lady who makes appointments has the maturity level as a potato and has frequent emotional outburst (this is sadly true). If you need an appeal with insurance or if you have ANY insurance issues - they do nothing to help outside of "good luck" with an insincere chuckle. Try them out, you'll see. Positive experience: After 8 months of waiting to get my partials I finally got to do my wax try-ins! I finally got to see what I looked like with my front bottom teeth again! I almost cried, they had the tooth shade matched perfectly! They looked like my real teeth. I am super excited for my appointment next month to finally try the finalized result out and HOPEFULLY go home with my new teeth!

Negative experience: If you want check in problems. Come here. I went in on 10/6/25. My appt was at 1 so right after they come back from lunch break. I was the second person to walk in. My appt was at 1 and i walked in at 1:03. I checked in on the tablet they use to do check ins. By the time i got done it was 1:04. I went up to the front desk to ask for tooth paste to brush before getting called back. After that i sat down. 3 others walked in after me and every single person got called back before i did. I was wondering what was going on. I knew i had to pay for the treatment i was about to get. So i thought that was the reason i had to wait longer. I was the last person in the waiting room when i got called to the front desk at 1:39. I was told that “i couldn't get the treatment done since i checked in at 1:30 and they were running behind” i mentioned how I've been waiting for over 30 minutes. She said “yeah, we have to follow our policy of no more than 10 minutes late” i once again mentioned how I've been waiting for over 30 minutes. How i walked in at 1:03 and even described how the first lady in front of me looked like. She proceed to ask if i wanted to do just the fill in i needed thats all they could do since i came in late and can get scheduled for the day after to get the treatment i came in to get. I asked if they had any cameras they could check to see i wasn't lying about my arrival time and she said no and asked if i wanted todays treatment they could only do. I was HEATED. Never in my life i had to deal with anything like that. I missed work to go to the dentist and miss again the next day to get done what i had already came in to get. So miss two days of work and pay almost $400 for my treatment is crazy!!

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing time and She was able to calm my 5 year old who had horrible anxiety because of the dentist. She done a wonderful job. I have told a bunch of people already about them.

Positive experience: Don't go here! The hygienist will leave your kid with a sore mouth the next day. Instead of fixing what needs fixing they want to work on a tooth that the patient has no problem with.

Fantastic experience: My first time being here but everyone was so nice and the doctor is so sweet. They done a great job on my top denture and fillings to. Now I have to have an abstraction done on one on my teeth at the bottom I have had my bottom teeth for 60 years and now I have to have one removed. Great jobs too all the staff and doctors too and to Dr. Walker. Thank you so much!!

Negative experience: Don't bother going here if you have TennCare (child or adult)... Probably the least understanding medical office I have experienced & forget about getting an appt before December of 2026. Very frustrated with how things have been handled Since we started there last year.

Positive experience: Dr was nice, didn't appreciate the nurse calling my son a frequent flyer since he had caps put on when he was a year old and has issues with his adult teeth coming in. The comment honestly has me thinking of finding a different dentist.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been here twice and each experience was very pleasant. From the front desk, to the techs, to the dental hygienist, to the dentist; they were all kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. I hadn’t been to the dentist for some time and they didn’t judge or criticize. Dr. Akens is awesome. They met me where I was and each person said, “you’re here now and that is what matters.” When you meet people where they’re at in life, it makes such a difference!

Positive experience: I am so thankful to the nurse that fixed my current dentures ! I can now eat still have some pain but it will take time for the gums to heal . Thanks again for all that assisted me today. The staff and Dr's are great. Treated me with respect. In my opinion they are great at pulling teeth but lack experience in dentures. I have been waiting on dentures since November 2024 , went for 3 fittings they can't seem to get them right. Maby next time will be the right fit , I . Still adjusting to my new teeth, some pain but it will take time I suppose.

Being Autistic means she's rather rough on teeth sometimes so we do everything we can to keep her smile beautiful ❤️

Fantastic experience: I was called back and seen at my appointment time and everyone was so nice and friendly. The facility was well kept and clean and the equipment looked new and worked with out a hitch. I love my dental hygienist, she actually carries a conversion with me and makes me feel at home. My Dr. Properly introduced himself, shook my hand and conversed with me in a sinseire manner. They actually treated me like a person.

Negative experience: I had a scheduled cleaning appointment for 10 am on 5/13. They called to move it up to 11 AM. When I got there, the woman said I had already exceeded my annual xrays provided by my insurance and they would not be covered. I cancelled the appt. When I got home I called my insurance provider and they said I DID NOT have any xrays taken in 2025 so xrays would have been covered. No one answers the phone at the Sweetwater location so I had to leave a message. I waited 5 months for this appt. only to have Cloudland Dental mistakenly say my xrays would not be covered. Very disappointed, and the woman at the desk was very rude.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Walker and his team at Cloudland Dental have been wonderful over the last 2 years I’ve been a patient. No more dreading going to the dentist. Five stars all around!

Positive experience: Appointment was canceled by office although I never canceled. I waited for available time. Waited 30 minutes. Tech was very friendly and thorough. I was told by office manager that I would be called for now on to confirm my appointments. I am still getting email and text. Please call me and speak directly to me to confirm appointments. Technology is not reliable. I will call if unable to make an appointment.

Negative experience: Sweetwater office had missed up on my insurance which timed out on approval and I have worked hard since February The insurance company is telling me one thing then the office so I waited an hour for a root canal with my grandson and I brought my daughter to help with him They say will he be able to sit threw this I said it would have been better an hour ago I’m very upset at this time maybe to much at that point Dr Walker comes in and tells me i need to have more respect for the ladies up front i try to explain That I lost approval on 25 and 26 due to the lack of asking for an extension in February this year he calls me a liar (I was very upset anger it all) he then goes to tell me that i can leave he was so mad at me he was shaking so I got up then left They have called and put me on a list not to be seen This was a shock to me a professional Dentist couldn’t see threw right from wrong yes i may have been angry about calling insurance again but it would’ve worked itself out I have to own up to my own mistakes at my job Lord knows i make them but I would have never expected this Thank you for your time while reading this Have a Blessed Day

Fantastic experience: All of the staff I've met have been very helpful with getting required documents signed and so forth. I was in just for a cleaning, I had Savannah as my hygienist, she reminded me that she also saw me a year ago and she remembered our conversation! I was sorry to say that I couldn't remember much of it… But Savannah is just excellent, I want her as my hygienist d For every visit, You know when you found a great one and Savannah is that!! The dentist came in and checked my teeth and said everything looked good, which I appreciate - And there was no mention of a follow up for something else - Whereas some dental offices I've been to continually mention something else they think you need to do And they want you to make another appointment to have those procedures (Like deep scaling and planing), Even when I really didn't think I needed it. With Cloudland Dental there's no such Monetary pressure. 2 1/2 weeks ago I moved to another location 14 miles away but I like Cloudland so much I'm gonna stick with them and drive the distance, they're worth it!

Fantastic experience: The Dentist I had was so amazing, kind and understanding! He made sure I wasn't in any pain, which for a low pain tolerance cry baby like me, was probably a task haha He was as quick and efficient as he could be. The nice lady assisting him was just as kind and wonderful. Every employee I had the pleasure of encountering was so amazing and kind. I absolutely love cloudland dental, truly the best dentist I've ever been to!

Fantastic experience: I have never felt more comfortable at the dentist. Last week I attended an appointment and the assistant Diana was so kind and made me feel very welcome. She walked me through all the was going to happen and Dr. Akens was adamant on finding the issue wrong with my upper teeth. He refilled a filling I’ve had issues and was very gentle and also informative. I had to schedule an exam and cleaning which was completed on 5/14. The hygienist I had was Terry. She did such a great job with informing me on what she was doing and why she was doing it. She then cleaned my teeth and provided rationale behind it. I learned so much from here than I have ever previously learned at other dental offices. Overall both visits I had I received great service, felt so comfortable, and all issues I had were addressed. I would recommend anyone to receive treatment at cloudland. Dr. Akens is seriously my most favorite dentist!!! I will be reviving all future treatments from him and the wonderful women over at cloudland!!

Fantastic experience: Everyone I talked to and Interacted with there was so nice and understanding. I had to get a root canal and crown, and throughout the entire thing they kept me in the loop of what was going on so I wasn't worrying and I felt completely safe in their hands.

From the cleanings I’ve gotten from the wonderful Mrs. Terry, to the comfortability I get from the assistants like Mrs. Jasmine, helping me to be at ease while undergoing dental work. Fantastic experience: Update: 3/24/25 Callie has been coming here a very long time time and feels so comfortable with all the staff . She likes going back by herself for quite sometime and she 8 now . She's never had a fear of the dentist even getting a filling. They are so friendly and kind at Cloudland. Fantastic experience: I was a new patient. I received a prompt appointment due to a cancellation. They sent reminders via email and text and I was able to fill out necessary paperwork online. Little wait time. Excellent care by the tech and the dentist. This may very well have been one of my best dental experiences.

Negative experience: I was so upset when I wrote my review. I want to take the time to set down and rewrite my excpirence. I was given Tenncare after pregnancy. Wonderful. Pregnancy takes a lot from your teeth. Mine needed a lot of work. Long story short. I should have just found a dentist that caref for their patients. In two years, all they managed to get done was 2 cleanings and 3 fillings. The ONLY time scheduling next day was an option was when I had $1,000 out of pocket. The dentiat made me wait 3 months before getting fitten for a partial. The girl waited TWO months before sending off for approval. Their poor ability to plan/ schedule cost me the chance i had to get my teeth fixed. Either their poor ability ir they just dont care. Like another review said front desk was ok but the hygienest and everyone in the back was not friendly, didnt introduce theirself. Very uoset with the whole place. The owner replies with a phone number to call but I've tried to call in for weeks. I've left numerous messages. I've called at different times. No answer.

Negative experience: Came here bc I live Crossville location but recently moved. Mistake. The filling they done two weeks ago is already coming out. The filling itself is crumbling. I can't ever get through to anyone that's not rude and doesn't hate their life. The other filling they done is extremely sensitive. Just seems like they d Ir know what they're doing. I've finally broke down and called owner replies to the reviews with and noone anssdsn.

Fantastic experience: Cloudland dental has been the best dentist experience ive ever had professional service. Fairly economical. Great follow up by my doctor thanks doc for the fair billing, This is my second review for my visit on mar 5. I had a cap come off. And obviously needed a quick repair His organization got me in right away. All his staff was friendly and professional from front end to his attendant. Even though there was 15 people when I got there. I was in and out in a hour total. Unbelievable. And Doc, as usual, I’m so glad to have you as my dentist, best I’ve ever experienced Thankyou so much

Negative experience: I’ve personally never had any issues taking my daughter here. However, today it was my husband that took her and he said that one of the ladies was extremely rude to him. That she was stressed over the X-ray machine not working. Please don't make my life more stressful than it already is. Be kind.

Negative experience: Pretty upset with the Cloudland located on hey 58.. my insurance paid to have my teeth removed they left a whole root and it’s connected to a cyst and now my insurance will not pay to have it removed again due to they already paid for it

Positive experience: My granddaughters and I have been going to Cloudland Dental for around 10 years. We have only had cleanings and a couple of fillings. They are usually very punctual and accommodating if you need to change appointments. The hygienist was a lovely young lady whom for the first time explained the importance of brushing and flossing. I thanked her for doing this because I feel it is important for our children to hear these things from others and not just parents.

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with our first visit to Cloudland dental in Sweetwater! My two sons, 7&3, were treated so well and so personable. They let me go back and ask all the questions I needed to. My boys are full of energy and not once did I think feel like they were any trouble to the staff. This included knocking over a plant and disassembling equipment. Cloudland was our best dentist experience so far! We are looking forward to our next visit!!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing people!! Couldn’t ask for a better facility, drive 2.5hrs to see them barely waited in the lobby before they called me. They were all very sweet and very informative! Probably the best dentist I’ve ever been to! Thank you to their team for all the hard work they put in! Also, they put me on a cancellation list in case someone cancels I can come sooner for some other dental work! Honestly if I could give them more stars I would! Exceptional!! I also would like to add to my review because I went back today, and I think everyone at this facility was amazing but also, I would like to add JAMIE is amazing. She even didn’t get mad when I almost accidentally bit her!

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful first experience. They booked me as soon as they could, but appointments were slim. I was put on a cancellation list to come in and I got a text with an opening months sooner than what I had scheduled! Not only were they able to do a consult, but also get my cleaning done same day due to another patient not coming in! Everyone was so friendly and informative, and I left feeling really good about being a new patient.

Negative experience: I stayed on the phone with someone for 30 minutes when I set up the appointment giving them all of my insurance information and everything. Just for someone to call me to confirm my upcoming appointment and tell me that I needed to be there early because they didn’t have my insurance on file. Super frustrating.
