Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at GLD for many years. Referred there by my Ex and son, both patients of Dr Webb. As a practice developer for medical practitioners for most of my 40 years in practice as an Orthopedic PA, I appreciate the effort it takes to establish & grow a practice as large as GLD. The professional and support staff are among the most genuinely empathetic & helpful you'll find anywhere. Their team effort is best illustrated by their greeting: "What can we do to put a smile on your face today?" The DDS' always take their time and fully inform you about your dental health, and offer you alternatives for care, as well as their professional recommendations to aid you in making your decisions. At 75 years of age, I've always appreciated Dr Webb's care & patient focus. His underlying philosophy of excellence & service is echoed by the entire staff. This is a tribute to his great leadership. If you're looking for a trustworthy Dentist, your search is over. GLD is simply the best. Addendum October 01, 2025 Routine dental hygiene visit. As usual my hygienist was thorough & efficient. More than that she was cheerful, smiling and knowledgeable. Like her peers she is very pretty which distracts you during all the scraping & polishing. I mean, how many women do you know who are still beautiful upside down with a close-view of their nostrils? Seriously, it's evident that the Dental Hygienists at GLD are more than just technically proficient. They're all happy, cooperative and cohesive team players, who care for each other the same way they care for you (me). If you're new to GR or simply looking for a new Dentist, you need not look any farther. As a retired Clinic Administrator with 40+ years experience, I appreciate the whole staff at GLD, how well they perform their assigned duties, and how sincerely their caring nature is demonstrated amongst coworkers, and now genuinely they express their professionalism through caring for their patients.

Fantastic experience: I have always struggled finding a dentist that I was comfortable with and made my care a priority. Great Lakes Dental got me in immediately for wisdom tooth pain and were completely upfront about their comfort level in removing my wisdom teeth as it’s a complicated case. They got me right in with the oral surgeon to get them removed in a timely manner. They have been nothing but amazing and cannot wait to get my smile right!

Fantastic experience: I got a cavity filling today with Dr. King. She was excellent. Very thorough, explained everything well, and let me know what was happening as it was happening. Gave adequate time for numbing to kick in. I was nervous at first but it was a very gentle and good experience overall. The dental assistant, Paige, was great as well.

Fantastic experience: The workers at Great Lakes Dental Care were absolutely wonderful at taking care of me. I have to take premeds before any dental work is done on me & I had a very bad reaction to the premeds before my appointment started. They brought me to a room to sit comfortably & gave me ice packs & benadryl. 1 of the dental hygienists sat with me the entire time. Even 1 of the dentist came in to make sure I was ok. Highly recommend Great Lakes Dental Care!

They are super knowledgeable and thorough and make you feel as “at home” as you can be while getting your teeth examined and cleaned. There are TV’s in every room where they can play cartoons for kids or relaxing music. Everyone I met there was super kind.

Negative experience: We’ve been patients at this office for many years, but unfortunately, we’re leaving extremely disappointed. We fully understand that not every office is equipped to support kids with neurodevelopmental or behavioral health needs. But the way a situation was handled yesterday showed a serious lack of awareness and sensitivity. We hope the office reflects on how they approach care for children with additional needs. No child should be made to feel like they’re a problem for struggling with something beyond their control. If you have a child with any extra needs—emotional, developmental, or otherwise—please think twice.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Carey & Heather did such great job doing a couple of fillings on my toddler. Was so happy with our experience & my son walked away wanting “more sugar bugs” because he had such a fun time!!

Negative experience: Not good experience at all.They went and did dental procedures which my insurance plan didn't cover.and never told me and left me with a huge balance.tried many times to work something out with the on the bil all i got was no.i never recommend them

Fantastic experience: I was in getting a crown done and was asked if I would mind a dental hygienist to do the numbing shots. Erin came in to do the injections and I was amazed! I didn't feel a thing she did a fantastic job!

However the team at Great Lakes seems to understand that I would rather be almost anywhere else and they go out of their way to be friendly and kind. From reception to check out everyone is friendly. Negative experience: I never write reviews and I feel compelled to warn others of this dental practice. They failed to diagnose a serious dental condition I had after multiple visits. They also ruined 4 of my teeth. It is the worst place to get dental crowns and they shouldn't be allowed to even do them. I was completely miserable for months with a mouth I am still only able to eat on one side after all the mistakes they made. My bite will never be the same. I could go on and on about the nightmares that happened to me when I went here. I should have never went back after mistake after mistake but after paying the money I needed them to try and fix their mistakes. Huge regret. The dentist here are not qualified. Dr. Sara De Zwaan has no compassion and talks down to her patients. She belittles them and treats them horribly. Go anywhere but here!

They’re very understanding, inclusive, and kind. This is the First dentist office I’ve ever been to where I haven’t had a poor experience. Negative experience: My family have been patients here for about 3 years. The staff is friendly and the care is good. The problem is their business practices which are sketchy for lack of a better word. First, they insist on being paid at the time of service, which is fine, except they have consistently overcharged us and held on to that money until we asked for a check. On a couple occasions, when paying, they asked if we'd like to apply a credit that is on our account, but then they overcharged so we again had a credit on our account. Second, they did not inform us that we were no longer in network. They asked us every time if our insurance has changed but they did not tell us we were out of network until we'd already been treated and served an out-of-network, costlier bill. That is fraud. I highly recommend going elsewhere.

Negative experience: The dentist and the dentist assistants were lovely and amazing. No notes, I understood and was very clear on what needed to be done. However, the receptionist or who ever is in charge of the scheduling gave me such an attitude when I asked her to clarify from things from me over a month ago, I never received an update to the 3 appointments that was scheduled, I called to clarify and I quote “I’m sorry, but I don’t see why your confused?” Ummm because there were 3 appointments when I had only asked for one that was priority. I quote again “you don’t know which tooth was cracked?” Like the condescending attitude really did it for me. So I canceled my appointment and never going back here. How are you going to schedule 3 appointments and for me to call to clarify and then to treat me like I scheduled these myself… “you don’t know what your appointment are?” Oh okay.

Fantastic experience: Had a tooth pulled today. The actual procedure was extremely fast. No one likes having this procedure done, but if done like this, not a big problem. Thank you Great Lakes Dental.

Fantastic experience: Great staff and doctors. They really take the time to explain everything to you about what's going on and which steps to take for correction. Involving you in every aspect also taking in your considerations. Doctors work together to solve any issues that may arise. I can't believe that I waited this long for a dentist office that treated me so well. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone and everyone. If it doesn't match with their abilities or knowledge they will send you in the right direction for specialized treatments or procedures.
