My dental hygienist is not only competent, she is cheery and fun (and that also applies to the Dentists). I have not been hesitant in recommending McKenzie Dental to others.

Negative experience: how hard is it to list some or all of the insurance providers you work with or accept? Other dentist do it It seems really ridiculous and scam me that you don't make it easy for patients, and less work for your employees… Who constantly have to field calls asking whether you take such and such insurance You can do better… It's really not that hard you are wasting everyone's time

Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to a dentist in about 4 years (embarrassed to say). Dr. Shakespeare, Casey (dental assistant) and Crystal (dental hygienist) were simply amazing. They were all kind, reassuring and complimented me on my home care (a sonicare and floss a few times a week). They gave me a clean bill of oral health and sent me on my way for 6 months. Looking forward to seeing the crew in March.

Fantastic experience: I had a major procedure with multiple extractions and implants, and the entire team was excellent. The work was long and complicated, but I felt well cared for throughout. The dentist and staff were kind, attentive, and followed up with me several times after surgery, which I really appreciated. I trust their skill and feel confident moving forward with them. Fantastic experience: By far the best tooth extraction experience I’ve ever had. Dr. John listened to my concerns made sure I was completely numb and comfortable. Plus he’s funny and friendly. I didn’t catch the assistants name cause I’m horrible with them, but she was super sweet and accommodating too.

Fantastic experience: 9/2/25 Chris Shakespeare and his assistant took wonderful care of me this morning with an infection. I am grateful to have Dr. Shakeshere as my dentist. New office is very nice. Heidi not only does an awesome job cleaning teeth, she’s super sweet. And, I really like Chris Shakespeare, his gentleness, good dentistry and I trust him too. Office staff are kind as well.

Fantastic experience: Vivian was my hygienist! She was so awesome! I was nervous and shaken up a bit when I came in. She calmed me down very well! Our previous dentist was Dr. McCully and he retired. The dentist that took his place is just different and has changed so much (the music, the decor, etc). We decided it was time to change and thought you were A LOT closer, took our insurance, and had better hours . We are pleased with our cleanings! Here's our kitties (I told Vivian about our not so lady-like gitls). Miss P isn't just a "big" girl. We rescued her from an abusive home. Lillie Belle is our fluffy girl. She lived the 3 years before we got her on top of a fridge. The owner's weiner dogs would constantly bite and fight her. She had her food, litter box, and bed up there. We rescued her. Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: I had my teeth cleaned in June, '25, which went well. I had the old crown in my upper right area removed 8/4 due to degeneration & new one made in-house by Dr. John. Actual teeth work only took few minutes but had to wait about 1/2 hour for the new crown to be made. I had to have the bite adjusted 2 times since but this time it turned out well. 8/26 I had him check out the gum around the left rear upper molar since there was some pain. He said the gum line was receding & that food particles were getting in causing the gum to be inflamed. He said to return to use of water Pick & continue gargling with hydrogen peroxide & water. No need for antibiotics. Since then my gums & tooth feel a lot better! Pros: Dr. John is efficient, fast & friendly so are the dental & front desk/billing staff. Free parking. Teeth cleaning was thorough. I nominated them to my dental plan. Nice new building. Cons: none that I see.

As a patient for a total of close to 40 years, I feel as though I'm among friends with the best of the best! I called Sunday to schedule an appointment for a broken tooth. Sarah got me in Monday morning, and blessings to Dr. Lee for squeezing me into their busy morning for ending up being a needed crown. Positive experience: The dental care provided is pain free, and the dentist is amazing, caring, and very professional. However, as a client without insurance, it seems that the only concern from office staff both by phone and at the front desk is MONEY! MONEY MONEY MONEY! No concern for how I am feeling, no question about my pain level, just MONEY. If this is a medical office, shouldn't the patients health come first. Or at least the illusion of concern. When did this world come to this? Uncaring people who put money above people. I was in pain when I called.... no question about my condition. I was in pain when I got to the desk, no question about my condition, just "who are we billing?" Fix it

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend McKenzie Dental Center. I had extreme anxiety and delayed making an appointment because of my fear. Dr. Lee and his entire staff went out of the office way to help me feel comfortable, from a tour of the new office to staff introductions. I never felt rushed. And while I will be needing additional treatment, my fear has lessened, I know what to expect and believe the whole Dental team will help me through the process. Again, an excellent Dental practice with evening and weekend appointments available

The friendly service, efficient operation from start to finish, and follow-up on big procedures are exceptional. My aging parents and several relatives have started going here…And all of us are extremely pleased

Positive experience: A lot of moving parts, so a bit overwhelming. They do make the crowns in office, on the spot, which is a big plus. One person gave me the numbing shot, then Dr Lee did the prep for crown, another person did the 3D model and made the crown, yet another person placed it in my mouth, and I swear, then Dr John came in to make sure all was well… it’s like a tooth factory….

Fantastic experience: When my wisdom tooth broke not a single other dentist would help me because i wasnt an established patient, i went to another dentist for an emergency visit and they wanted to charge me an absoloutely insane amount and told me i would have to wait 4 weeks without any pain management to even get it pulled, if you have ever had a broken off wisdom tooth you know that is not an option! Dr John and his whole team were so compassionate, kind and thorough about the whole process, they had an opening and got me in within an hour of calling in tears and my tooth was pulled then and there! They have a customer for life!! I have since had an exam and a cleaning and i couldnt be happier with everyone i have worked with there! I also will add i have a dental phobia and they are so so kind and patient with me, they truly go the extra mile for their patients! If you are on the fence, just take the leap and give them a try!

Positive experience: After the numbness wore off my i can feel a ridge where my new caps i thought it should be smooth? The doctor and chair side did a good job numbing me and making me feel comfortable. It still sucked lol.

Fantastic experience: My visits to McKenzie Dental have been great! Francis and Dr. John assisted me both times; they are both very kind and gentle. The office is kept clean, and the ladies at the front desk are very nice. I appreciate their extended hours and treatment plan, which helped me budget and plan necessary maintenance. Their hospitality reminds me of the book "Unreasonable Hospitality". Definitely recommend!

Negative experience: After changing to medicare this year I was looking for a new dentist This would have worked out well for me but after being shuffled around on my appointment I clarified that I wanted my cleaning included with the exam at the same time. I've had regular cleanings for 40 years but according to them my teeth needed 225 dollars more than a regular cleaning. Felt like I was being set up for an upcharge! I scheduled my exam and made sure to ask that my insurance covered both. Now they wouldn't do a cleaning under my insurance do to my severe neglect of my teeth? I've had regular cleanings at my other dentist twice a year but somehow 6 months later . They can't do a regular cleaning??? Be careful at this establishment! I'll look for another dental care that is not just out to charge me. Makes no sense

Carlos, who took my X-rays, was excellent. Dr. John was professional, kind, and funny, and the financial coordinator was sweet—for someone who has to ask for money! We know that's not an easy job. My hygienist was also absolutely fantastic. Every single person I interacted with was warm and attentive. I won’t go anywhere else and highly recommend McKenzie Dental to anyone considering coming here.

Fantastic experience: I am so impressed with this office, from the front receptionists to the dental assistant who oriented me to their facility and took the films on my initial visit. Dr Shakespear not only showed me the films as he explained his interpretations of them and continued to list my options on treatments, including costs and alternatives. No one acted rushed or pushy with my choices. Scheduling future visits and payment options were timely and professionally explained by the front desk staff again. I feel blessed to have found this group and feel I am good hands as I move forward in their care.

Fantastic experience: This place has become my go to place for mouth work. I hated going to the dentist before. They are gental here. They are very good about working with me and my fear of the dentist. Plus i can get in on sundays. I highly reccommend this place ***update** just had more work done. Fillings and an extraction. Couldn't have gone any better. I am going to miss this place when I move here soon. We may literally fly out for major teeth work. Dr. JOHN is sooo good at what he does. Fantastic experience: I learned through a mailing that the McKenzie Dental Center was accepting new patients, so I made an appointment to introduce myself. The staff was friendly and efficient. Dr. John interviewed me with charm and presented me with personalized gifts. As we chatted at length, he made me laugh with his humorous interactions with me and with the staff. I kept several appointments after that to have all my dental needs taken care of. He maintained his friendliness and humor throughout. His dental treatments were completed with professionalism and with an impressive knowledge of the latest technology in dentistry.
