Fantastic experience: The experience was great from dental, vision and Ortho. All staff were helpful explaining to us. I recommend it to my fellow kids. Enjoyed my visit, Thank you.

Negative experience: Made an appt two weeks ago and gave them all of my insurance information over the phone and they confirmed they are in network. Walked in to my appt today and they said they needed my insurance again because they don’t know which vision insurance I have. Then asked me to call my insurance, usually on hold for hours, to see what type of vision insurance I have and that I need to reschedule now. Why did I give them all the information ahead of time if they are not going to do anything and wait until I get there to have me call my insurance? Useless waste of time and unhelpful staff. Never coming back and I recommend everyone find another place for your kids!

Negative experience: Orthodontics has the worst scheduling practices I’ve ever had to deal with. Rescheduling two appointments will push your entire treatment out a year because they don’t have an orthodontist available for actual treatments.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had her first ortho and I couldn’t be more happier. Raylynn answered any questions we had made sure my daughter was comfortable. Very sweet lady we can’t wait to see her when we come back.

Fantastic experience: Had an eye exam with Rachel and Kassandra and they were so amazing and thorough. Made the entire process fun and enjoyable. Will absolutely be back! Can’t recommend the vision department enough.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lyon and Kiwi (the whole vision team!!) are absolutely wonderful. They are super kinds and thoughtful with all my kids ages ranging from 2 years old to 17! Love How knowledgeable Dr. Elizabeth Lyon is and how she explains everything thoroughly; and her assistant Kiwi (like the fruit ) is the sweetest, get all the kiddos comfortable for all of the pre-examination stuff and makes it fun for them. Thank you guys so much, we look forward to seeing you guys yearly!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Academy Kids Ortho Group, particularly because of Marianne Valenzuela. She is hands down the best ortho tech in the building. Marianne is efficient and quick. What truly sets her apart is how she works with kids. Watching her interact one-on-one with young patients is impressive—she asks thoughtful questions, engages them in conversation, and is incredibly gentle with children who may have anxiety or concerns. She knows exactly how to put kids at ease. Her professionalism and skill make her an exceptional asset to the practice. If you're looking for excellent orthodontic care for your child, you're in great hands with Marianne on the team!

Negative experience: I made an appointment about a week or two in advance, I took my son who's 3 for a basic hygiene visit. While it's a nice place with nice people I never got to my appointment. My appointment was at 3pm. I checked in at 2:50 filled out the paperwork and everything required for the visit. I waited till 3:45 almost an hour and asked when it was our turn she said "we are super slammed today let me go see" she returns and tells me that it will be another 25-30 minutes before he was going to get seen as their was another child ahead of him. I'm also 9 months pregnant and I had an OB appointment at 4:30. I ended up cancelling my appointment all together and calling a different dentistry to take my son. I waisted almost an hour and a half waiting to be seen. Why have an appointment if it's done almost as a wait on schedule. This was my first visit here and unfortunately I will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: Sol was a great help when I had to book a quick check-in during family vacation! The whole family gets anxious around dental stuff, but he helped us feel calm and prepared, and we will definitely be back if we need any more help!

Fantastic experience: Marianne did my son’s braces adjustment and she was incredibly friendly! My son absolutely loved her! The whole staff made us feel taken care of and welcome from the moment we checked in with the amazing patient coordinators to the caring ortho staff! Could not recommend this place more!

Fantastic experience: We had such an amazing experience today, and I have to shout out Nicole at the front desk and dental techs Neri, Alma, and Maia. Nicole was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful the moment we walked in. She made check-in easy and answered every question with patience and kindness. We were especially nervous about our youngest being a total menace, but Neri handled everything like an absolute pro — calm, funny, patient, and so good with little ones. The other techs were just as wonderful. Alma and Maia kept everyone relaxed, explained everything clearly, and made the whole visit smooth and positive. We left feeling cared for, supported, and genuinely impressed. This team is incredible. Highly recommend this office to any family looking for a place that actually gets kids and treats them with so much care. Thank you for making today such a great experience!

Fantastic experience: I really appreciate Academy Kids.The front desk staff is super friendly and kind. The dental assistants are patient and so funny. The vision team is gental and make sure the explan every step of the appointment and the ortho staff are amazingly energetic and make every adjustment enjoyable! Fantastic experience: We were seen today at s academy vision and The vision technician kiwi was amazing. I have an autistic daughter that does not comply typically . Kiwi was compassionate, quick, efficient and provided a calm environment. My child complied with all requests including eye drops. Kiwi is phenomenal.

Negative experience: My kids had appointments and were scheduled at 8:00am and 8:30am, they don’t open until 8:30am. When we showed up for said appointments they refused to see my son who was scheduled at 8am and they even agreed it was their mistake, I asked if they could just see him because my daughter was already being seen and the doctor refused and said we had to reschedule. Another mom was talking to me and said the same thing happened to her TWICE! This will be the last year I bring my kids here. I already switched their dental due to past experiences with Academy Kids and I’m thinking it’s time to switch for vision as well. I take time off work and they take time off school to be at these appointments and now we have to miss more time off work and school because of this.

Positive experience: Sol and Nicole were wonderful at the front desk, handling my long-term concerns. Today's visit with tech Neri was better. I have previously received less than stellar care, but this time things went better.

Fantastic experience: I love the Experience my children had with Neri when my kids came in.. She handled my daughter with such care and tenderness.. thank you so much for all you do!!! 5 stars!!!

Negative experience: RUN RUN FAR AWAY! We had all of our kiddos appointments scheduled, insurance on file, address updated with insurance and academy kids, they called the Friday before our appointments to say that insurance wouldn't be covering it due to an issue with the address not Matching what insurance has on file. They are blaming insurance when 100% it is an issue with Academy Kids! I called insurance, verified what they have on file for address matches what was provided to Academy Kids. Academy kids still cant figure it out on their end! Funny enough I called a DIFFERENT Pediatric Dentist and they ran everything with the same address and low and behold it came back as active and insurance will cover the needed check ups! ACADEMY KIDS NEEDS TO GET THEIR CRAP TOGETHER!!!!!! RUN RUN FAR AWAY AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE!

Negative experience: My daughters appointment in July was canceled by Academy kids ortho( I still don't know why.) They couldn't get her in again until September. Now it is September and here we sit in the waiting room, 30 minutes past our appointment time. All they could say was " we'll get to you in a few minutes. " May I suggest better management?? How about respecting your patients time

Fantastic experience: Always kind and supportive, answering any questions we have. Making time to make sure we feel seen. Should have been coming here for year's.

Negative experience: We came to academy kids for years. In April, we moved across the country. I canceled all future apts before we moved. I have received 19 texts, 44 phone calls, many many emails and over 20 different voicemails from this office. I have called TWELVE times requesting to cease any and all communication from this office. All of my requests have been blatantly ignored. I received two calls last night and one just now. This is harassment at this point. Beware of the CONSTANT messages, phone calls and emails from academy kids. This is quite frankly, ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: Alise in vision was amazing and Neri from dental is the absolute best. Thank you all for being so good with my kids. This location is the best! Everyone is so nice.

Fantastic experience: My daughters 1st dentist appointment went better then I ever could’ve imagined! Our tech was the sweetest guy and he explained everything to my daughter, we got through x-rays & cleaning with no crying at all! Highly recommend!

Positive experience: Love Jazz- always makes my kids feel comfortable! And just a loving soul. I do have to say I’m disappointed with the scheduling portion of this business. I am a single mom who works full time and have to juggle my kids schedule. I don’t have the time to take calls to confirm an appt that I scheduled. If I can’t make an appointment that I scheduled I would call and cancel. I went in for my daughter’s dentist (took time off work) just for them to say they canceled my appt because I didn’t answer the call to confirm. That’s not a good system. If I operated like that in my business I’d lose customers.

Fantastic experience: I love this place my daughter got braces and I plan on getting some too. They were so fast and so awesome! Love the whole work environment. God bless all there hearts.

Fantastic experience: I take both of my grandkids here. The staff are always friendly and considerate. My granddaughter had to have 3 teeth capped. They got her in the same day. They were so gentle and kind, that she came away happy and not afraid. They are absolutely awesome. August 1,2025, I just want to add a special shot out to Taylor from Academy Kids Dental. She was absolutely amazing. She deserves a 5 star review.

Positive experience: Kudos to the vision team! Elyse was so full of energy and made my 7 year old feel so comfortable. She was quick, efficient, and very knowledgeable. I wish I could rate vision and dental separately. Ive had enough bad experiences with the dental side I will not be returning. My last appt was 11 at 1130 I asked one of the ladies with curly hair how much longer it would take and without even looking up at me she says they're running behind. No apology, no expectation of when we might be seen she just went right back to assisting one of her colleagues like I wasn't there. I'll be back for vision for sure! If you're needing dental for your kids I advise you find another location!

Positive experience: The vision portion of our visit was SPECTACULAR!!! The assistant was THE SWEETEST lady & Dr. Turner was wonderful!! She was kind & explained everything. She answered all my questions. I was just HAPPY with the whole vision visit. However, the dental portion was LONG...it took FOREVER to be seen. They took forever to do their cleanings & then, the doctor was quick & didn't even talk to me about what he found. I had to ask the hygienist what the doctor said. I was just disappointed with the dental side.

Negative experience: I'D GIVE NO STARS!!!! After their technician broke my daughter’s tooth, they still provided a retainer that didn’t fit. Despite my many messages and inquiries, no one returned my calls. I specifically asked if the retainer would still fit after the damage, and they assured me it would. However, once her tooth was repaired, it became clear the retainer did not fit at all. They have since refused to correct this issue, claiming that because her treatment ended, they won’t provide a properly fitting retainer. Throughout this entire process, their lack of communication and unwillingness to take responsibility has been frustrating and unprofessional. As a single mother managing six medical procedures over the year, it’s been incredibly difficult to juggle appointments, only to be met with dismissiveness and disregard for my daughter’s wellbeing. Their focus seems solely on money, leaving us stuck with a faulty retainer due to their error and no support to resolve it.

Fantastic experience: I'm rating this clinic as five stars because the people and staff were so incredibly friendly, patient and helpful. We had a great experience!!!

Fantastic experience: Today I brought my 13 year old son for his routine dental checkup and his hygienist was absolutely wonderful. Shout-out to Jazz! Very attentive and professional, as well as easygoing. I could tell he felt comfortable. When we left, my child actually said the words "that was low-key fun" to me. They always hand you the card and ask you to leave a review and I never really think about it tbh, but this one stood out. Thank you Jazz! We hope to see you again next time!

She had a awesome bedside manner, very patient, a warm cheerful smile, and took the time to help my daughter pick the perfect glasses! It's so hard to find people like ms Elise in the medical field, and we need more like her!! Thank you Ms Elise :)

Negative experience: Was there to schedule a eye appointment for my four kids a lady name jasmine proceeds to be smart and ask if they all had the same last name Then we proceed to sit there for another 15 minutes while she starts to schedule the appointments the day she tried to schedule us they were actually closed that day and we didn’t find out They were close till that day till she got up without confirming our appointment with us until another person seen us waiting for another 15 minutes because she just disappeared. The other person that helped us was very kind and was very accommodating. Their name may have been Sall .

Fantastic experience: Above and beyond! Ray, Kass and dr. Lyon are so sweet, great with the Littles and genuinely care about their patients and their families. The only place we will be taking our babies for sure.

Negative experience: I had an dental cleaning and an ortho appointment back to back 45 minutes apart. I voiced my concern to the scheduling person that I am not sure that we will be done with the dental cleaning on time to be at the orthopedic appointment on time. I was assured that it will be fine. We arrived ahead of our appointments to check in and sat there for 1 hour before finally calling my sons name to come in for the cleaning. By then it was time to go to the ortho appointment. By the time he was done with the cleaning, they couldn’t see him anymore for the ortho appointment without sitting there for a long while so we rescheduled. My advice is, don’t overbook to the point where patients can’t be seen in a timely manner and don’t book appts like this too close together and tell people it will work out.

Positive experience: Had an appointment for 8am for m y daughter. Wasn’t called back until almost 845. I understand y’all are busy, but so are us parents. We can’t just spend all this time waiting around for you to call us back. That’s what an appointment is supposed to be for. By the time we got called back, my poor kiddo was overdue for her nap and very fussy, so she wasn’t cooperating with the dr. Made it more difficult to do the exam. And the dr was upset with me for having a fussy child. Had we been called back on time, it wouldn’t have been an issue.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience from placing the appointment over the phone, to checking in with the front desk, techs, dentist (Dr. Ann was so sweet!), ortho tech, ortho (Dr. Mark). This place is super convenient (Dentist, Ortho, Vision, all in one place!) I have future appointments for my other kiddos. Don’t hesitate to book your appointments with Academy Kids. Negative experience: It should not take months to schedule an appointment for a current ortho patient. Period. If it does, you might need to hire more staff or possibly don't treat the kids like an assembly line. And in the end, it's the kids that suffer. When my daughter is seen, she receives good care, but that doesn't mean anything if she can't get in to get the services.

Fantastic experience: This was my son's first time here and the staff was wonderful! He did vision and dental appointments. Nesreen was so patient and great with him!

Positive experience: Great care faculty and I do recommend them. Only criticism i have is that appts often run 20-30 mins later than appointment time scheduled. If not for that, it'd be 5* review.

Negative experience: I just called to try to switch from the other crappy dentist my son is at now because he totally disregarded his cavity, and now "Oh if he's not 6 months out they won't cover it." I'm pretty damn sure they will! Who the heck do y'all have working at that front desk? Please educate her! Yikes!

Fantastic experience: The staff members are amazing here. My son has been coming to this place for over a year to address his crowding teeth with the orthodontic services. Marianne was so kind and explained to my son what she was doing every step of the way. Truly a great experience for my son!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and professional receptionist staff, Alana called in my granddaughter four minutes after we arrived. Alana did full exam, x rays, cleaning, fluoride treatment and explained everything in detail, answered all questions, I would definitely recommend this business to my friends

Fantastic experience: The staff seems very knowledgeable. They can answer any questions that you may have so that you are aware of exactly what needs to be done in a way that you can understand thoroughly. They are all very nice, polite, and professional. It's nice not having to go to the dentist, the orthodontist, and the optometrist which are all in different places and scheduled for different days. That gets very overwhelming, especially when you have more than one kid. Instead I can just go to this one place to have everything done at once, in a single appointment. Academy Kids Dental are very accommodating and they really do their very best to make sure that you are getting exactly what you want and need. Our family loves it there!!

Negative experience: The two stars are for the dental side. Had no issues with them and my daughter’s appt went well. However, the vision side is horrible. First of all, the schedulers are incompetent because they incorrectly scheduled my daughter FOUR times. Each time I would get a phone call saying there’s no provider’s here today that take Tricare. One time I got called the morning of her appointment letting me know I need to reschedule. The last straw was yesterday when I had an appt for 2:30 that finally wasn’t cancelled, pulled my daughter out of school early, drove 20 min to this location, walk up to the check in desk where the receptionist didn’t even acknowledge me for a good 30 seconds, looks up my appointment and tells me we “tried” to call you to cancel because the provider here today doesn’t take her insurance. I had my phone on me all day, nobody from that office called me. I was livid. I told them nevermind and walked out. Apparently there’s only 1 or 2 or maybe they lied to me and there’s no vision providers there that take private insurance. So if you have private insurance or Tricare go somewhere else, these ppl have absolutely no idea what they’re doing and will waste your time.

Fantastic experience: They're great, I can get everything dealt with in the same place and schedule kids on the same day. Super friendly and supportive of the kids, making it an all around great experience. They book up fast so I recommend scheduling ahead.

Negative experience: Very shitty dentist place I put a bad review before one of the managers or sumthing replied said to come in and try to get a better service but moral of the story is TAKE YOUR KIDS OUT OF THERE WEN THEY HIT THE AGE OF 10! I'm 16 I started going there wen I was 3 stoped going at 15 they put a child's silver cap over one of my back teeth and it didn't fit right it hurt and it created alot of problems just to get fixed my new dentist had to get 3 ppl just to help pull it off of my tooth and that with drilling it dawn and trying to pry it off academy kids doesn't know haw to work on older kids the only benefit u get from Academy kids is the tv with cartoons and the laughing gas other then that idk other then the staff being nice but there service are definitely over hyped didn't want to changed dentist places cuz it's hard to fined good places that take Medicaid but after that last appointment which I got a super small cap on and they told me that I'd have Dentures by the time I was 20 which I thought was on my part of just not taking care of my teeth I tryed to listene to there advice on it to but it was still the same results till I talked to my dentist naw and they just told me no your teeth are healthy other then a couple of cavities that came back from the fillings that academy kids gave me so if your reading this just be really cautious please and no idc for u guys to make it better this has Ben going on for years even after my parent complained

Positive experience: This Dr and assistant in particular have been the best so far. They did a great job working with my young child with disabilities and my young child who was not the best behaved this day. The only issue I ever have with this office is the insane amount of paperwork they make you fill out every single time you go in.

Fantastic experience: Jaz was so amazing and I had such an awesome experience with her especially with having my dental needs met. Jaz was very knowledgeable and professional. She deserves a raise! :)

Fantastic experience: Academy Kids has been wonderful. I am happy to take my kids here. Johnathan was great. They are all so informative and helpful. They took the time to explain things to my inquisitive child even though they were busy.

Fantastic experience: Words can’t describe how wonderful our experience was with the dental staff. They worked my son in on extremely short notice but also took the extra mile to call and verify we had dental coverage but it didn’t stop there. They saw my son nervous and scared but comforted him and helped him build the courage to not be scared. Then the front desk representative ended up going above and beyond to make sure we had dental benefits and then that I understood my benefits for my sons treatment plan. She walked me through every step and answered all of my questions with patience and empathy. Those are characteristics that are so personal and hard to find in the professional field these days, so I asked her I said is there a way I can speak to the supervisor to express my gratitude and appreciation for you and everyone here. She ended up telling me she was the supervisor and I was just in shock because talk about a supervise who leads by example. She went the extra mile for my son and my self without me even knowing she was the supervisor and it just amazed me because it wasn’t just her it was the entire staff. Such a great experience, and it was enough to want to drive the extra hour to go back again!

Negative experience: We've had good experience before but this last time we're I had my other kid and couldn't go back their with her was horrible..they didn't put the pulse oximeter on her finger while she was under laughing gas and the nurses in the room was speaking Spanish the whole time and didnt tell her anything that was going on..I'm thankful she didn't stop breathing or nothing happened to her cause they wouldn't of know they were to busy taking about some Halloween party with the doctors they were gonna do..they say if u can't be in the room their great staff will be there to make sure it kids ok and that's is just not true and I will be finding another dentist to bring my kids too.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is always very nice. My kids love going. The last two times we have gone my son has been seen by Jazz. Jazz is always so nice and makes it so much more fun. I want to say thank you so much Jazz for making is easier for my kids to want to go and be there.

Fantastic experience: I have never had a bad experience with academy kids my 4 children have been patients with y’all for many many years. And I couldn’t be happier with the care, respect, support, and all around kindness we receive each time we are here. Thank you all so much.

Fantastic experience: All the people were very nice & did their job amazingly but the lady who started mine and my siblings vision appoint. was truly lovely and was super sweet. I’m sorry I didn’t get the young lady’s name but she had pretty lip liner on and gorgeous curl ( hair was up:) ) Thank you, God bless
