Community Health Center of Snohomish County (CHC) is a non-profit provider, founded in 1983 to serve the health needs of community members who face barriers to healthcare.
We offer affordable primary healthcare services, including medical, medical walk-in, dental, physical therapy, and pharmacy at several locations throughout Snohomish County. In addition to our standard clinics, we operate school-based health centers in local schools and run outreach programs in partnership with other local non-profits.
We believe everyone deserves access to great healthcare and to be treated with kindness and respect.

Fantastic experience: I am very grateful & satisfied with the service I've experienced with CHC of Snohomish. They do not left me alone through all my appointments but rather follow-up with them (doctors)regarding if I attended or not. In general, CHC cared for it's patients & treated them as families. I do not know other patients' opinions but I'm new to this clinic & so far I haven't faced any sort of difficulties & seen any discriminative behavior from the staffs. If I rate you from 0-10 you deserve to be rated 10. Keep up don't loose your stars.

Negative experience: When I was getting my blood drawn she megan didn't bother using an alcohol wipe before or at any point use it. I said that she did it use it and I was upset about it. And I was the one who was made to feel lime I was being rude. When my health in jeopardy. Was not good experience at all. I called her manger and took a picture of the un used wipes.

Negative experience: On August 27 I had an appointment with a physician assistant Ericka Parayno and I was 9 minutes late due to unforseen traffic and I was turned away for being 9 minutes late, the following day I was on time but I was told that Ericka was 20 minutes behind, so I rescheduled a second time. I hope the next appointment will go better and I can get test results of an ultra sounds.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my elderly friend to CHC for about three years now, we are very pleased with the entire process from phone calls, to scheduling an appointment. checking in the staff are very kind and professional. The waiting area is always clean and the decorations are always creative and enjoyable. Which ever nurse that checks her in, is always efficient and timely. We never have had to wait long before the friendly Doctor comes in to help her with her concerns. We are always satisfied with the level of care. If further appointments or labs or referrals are needed it is taken care of immediately. We are very thankful to have a professional and caring medical facility that works together to help people who are in need.

Negative experience: This place is awful! I went to the desk to check in & turns out I was at the wrong desk (dental not medical) but they would not let me go upstairs. She insisted I could check in there. 12 minutes later they told me I had to check in upstairs. Go upstairs & I'm told I can't be seen today because I'm late. Now I have to wait 2 1/2 weeks before I can be seen. For my mental health. This is not the first time I have come all the way over here & not been seen. Last time they canceled my appointment after I arrived because the provider was not in.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Hanna Filitovich for over a year. She is a very attentive and pleasant doctor. She listens carefully and does everything she can to help with any issue. She always radiates warmth, care, and support toward her patients. Whenever someone asks me for a doctor’s contact, I always recommend Hanna Filitovich. Separately, about the CHC staff. They are kind and calm people, very polite, and they always make an effort to solve your problems. I have never seen tiredness or irritation on their faces, even when I ask what might seem like silly questions.

Negative experience: I wasnt going to leave a review, but oof... the incompetence is too real. First, I wasnt told my provider was leaving their practice, then I was put with a travelling doctor instead of a permanent one (my condition requires ongoing care, which is why I cant use temporary care providers), then I received a bill for that mistake which was subsequently marked as an error in their system and cleared via a phone call to.their billing department. During that call, I found out my provider reversed their decision to leave and I STILL wasnt informed, and just yesterday I received ANOTHER BILL for the same appointment that was both a scheduling mistake AND already removed from my account!! Needless to say, I'm not paying the bill. This was all CHC's mistake and I'm not about to pay for it. They ruined my trust in medical services to the point I've given up on american healthcare, so this ongoing paperwork absurdity is close to the final straw. It's just mistake after mistake, after mistake and it's insufferable at this point. I wont tolerate these shenanigans from a "professional" business, and others shouldn't either.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I had a routine teeth cleaning at CHC North. The Hygienist, Rebecca, was great. The cleaning was painless and only took about 30-40 minutes. Great service, excellent care.

Fantastic experience: My son Hudson had his cleaning with Vanessa at CHC Dental yesterday, and she was wonderful! She took the time to explain everything to him, made the experience fun, and still got the cleaning done efficiently. It’s not always easy keeping kids comfortable in the dental chair, but Vanessa made it seem effortless. We really appreciate her kindness, patience, and professionalism — highly recommend her!

Positive experience: I'm concerned about when Couch's nurse took my blood sample for my A1C, it showed a low reading and with my Libre 3 system my average sugar level is reading 264 mg/dL. My A1C was reading low....5.1, and the other high.

Fantastic experience: I was impressed by the modernist and cleanliness of the examination areas the staff was friendly clear and concise the doctor was extremely precise, I did forget to pick up my acetaminophen and hopefully I'll be able to do that Monday everything was quick and precise.

Fantastic experience: I was so happy I chose this clinic to begin my dental treatment. They took great care to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Marlett was great explaining what I needed and how she was going to make it happen. Her staff was wonderful in getting me my X-rays and getting me ready and relaxed for my exam. I am looking forward to getting my teeth fixed and keeping them in good shape going forward . Update: I was back into the dental clinic yesterday. It was for my first cleaning. I checked in and was escorted back quickly. I met a great and friendly technician and she sat me down and began explaining the procedure and what to expect. Unfortunately for me my BP was running up and despite her best efforts she was unable to help me relax and bring my BP down to a level where the clinic was able to do the cleaning. We will reschedule for another day but I am so glad and I wasn't embarrassed or made fun of. I will fix my BP issue and can't wait to return and hopefully I will get the same kind technician.

Fantastic experience: Samantha is a wonderful dietician. We get through so much info and concerns. She never pushes me and she doesnt play the shame/blame game. We focus on numbers without judgements, but she does address unacceptable mindsets or concerns. She always leaves me with a plan to work on and a focal point.

I’m only leaving because I need to be seen more than once a month I wish I could see her twice a month and stay The counselor before her was OK but the one before that sucked and I wasted a year of my life On that person And so when you get a counselor like this, you’re supposed to try to hold onto them for as long possible

Negative experience: Yesterday it was the second time I came to the hospital and doctor was 40 minutes behind the schedule. First time, couple month ago I was waiting for an hour and then left the room because it was already time to pick up kids from the school. Due to such an experience I called yesterday 1.5 hours before an appointment and asked if the doctor is not behind the schedule. It is common at CHC. I was told that she is on time. I was driving 25 minutes and at check in I was told she is 40 minutes behind the schedule and there are people in the check in area who are before me. They offer me to reschedule an appointment ( the second time already) I said that I do not want to reschedule it and will come back and left the clinic. The person didn’t say anything that I cannot leave the clinic and I didn’t know that. He saw I was leaving and said nothing. 5 minutes later I got call and I was told since I left the clinic they cancel my appointment. I said I will come back soon. Here I am, about 20 minutes passed from check in time and the doctor was still with another patient but I was told since she is behind the schedule she will not take me. I asked manager to talk but she was on meeting and I was told she will call me after 4. Nobody called. I’m so sad that I spent so much time driving, waiting and with no results. It is not the way I treat people neither I want to treated this way.

Fantastic experience: its difficult to get an appointment..but once you get, you feel very welcomed and great service..out provider Erica Parayno was so patient enough to listen to all out issues(even though she was having a busy schedule - we could see her running around!) and the assistant , I should her noted her name.. she worked really hard to get the wax of the ear...overall great hardworking bunch of people for the community!!

Negative experience: I am very disappointed. Had annual visit. Prior to that I called my insurance to make sure the visit would be covered. They said yes. I didn’t have any major complaints or pain, just minor things. I had a visit, Dr Bakulina was good. Really like her. But! 3-4 months later I get a bill! For $90 dollars. I lost the job at that time and thought May be there was some kind of reset because of that. So I call billing department and ask them I am being charged when it was my annual visit. They said because Dr coded that way - office visit and plus she gave me some referrals. I’m sorry, what!? I can’t have an office visit on my annual visit? Or any referrals? I already by the way paid my lab work separately. Also billing department is did not help either. I asked for help, like relief form - as I said I lost the job, paid for the house have nothing to pay. Lady stated that because the bill is under $100 and it’s past 30 days - she can’t help! I got bill in mail 3-4 months after! Not my fault. I guess when you go and see Dr for your free annual check up with insurance- it’s not free because the Dr can code it that way so you will still get the bill! Beware!

Negative experience: First, I was promised a 15-minute wait time, but in reality endured 40 minutes in the waiting area and then an additional 10 minutes alone in the exam room before any provider appeared—totaling almost an hour of waiting. This level of delay, without any notification or apology, is unacceptable. Second, when the provider finally arrived, I was given only 15 minutes to address my concerns, and even then I was repeatedly cut off mid-sentence whenever I tried to explain my pain and issues. This behavior demonstrated a blatant disregard for my ability to communicate my health needs. Third, the provider took it upon herself to pull up my shirt to listen to my breathing from the back without asking for my consent or warning me what she was going to do. This is not only unprofessional it is a violation of basic patient rights and bodily autonomy. Fourth, as I attempted to ask additional questions, the provider abruptly opened the door, told me, “Sorry, I can’t, I’m very busy,” and left the room. She then ran off down the hallway, leaving me without answers or closure. I had no option but to grab my things and leave out of frustration. This treatment was disrespectful, dismissive, and entirely contrary to any reasonable standard of patient-centered care. I demand a formal apology, a written explanation of how CHC plans to address these unacceptable failings, and assurance that appropriate steps will be taken—such as retraining staff on communication, consent protocols, and patient respect. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will not hesitate to escalate my complaint to the Washington State Medical Quality Assurance Commission or seek other legal avenues.

Fantastic experience: Broke a piece of my tooth and they were able to get me in the same day and fix my tooth temporarily until I can get it permanently fixed. I was very happy with the results.

Fantastic experience: The check-in was quick as I had already done the online one. The Nurse was friendly and did some tests as part of the Wellness check. Dr. Johnson greeted us, especially my grandson, with a big welcome smile which immediately put him at ease. And he had met her before and liked her. She listened to any concerns I had, and followed up on checking those as well. My grandson needed some shots and that went well too. So the overall experience for child and grandma was a good one.

Fantastic experience: I generally like most of the providers here and the front desk staff. I haven't had an issue although I do miss my old PCP. She was amazing and I hope she's thriving in her new job. CHC NORTH!!

Negative experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Paryno since April of this year. My first visit was great. She listened and seemed to really care. Subsequent visits were totally different. She was dismissive of my concerns and didn’t even examine me. I will not be back.

Fantastic experience: My Dentist is Dr. KIM he is the one I seek for my dental needs amongst the many great dentists there. I was seen for a couple of fillings and he executed them precisely, efficiently with candor. I also want to acknowledge the flawless teamwork between Dr. Kim and his assistant it was amazing. I was also aided by Dr. Rebecca who did an amazing job of cleaning my teeth. Her friendly and approachable attitude made the experience even better. Thank you for also accommodating me and kids. As a single dad it means everything to be able to have my appointments without worry.

Negative experience: This place is so unorganized and unprofessional. I've never experienced such poor service and degrading treatment. I arrived on time for my appointment but had to stand in line for several minutes, waiting to be checked in. I checked in online hours before my appointment to be prepared. Once I got up to the window to be checked in in person, I was told by the receptionist that the doctor would not see me because I'm 8 minutes late. She acknowledged that she had seen me standing in line and accepted fault for my checking in late, but she said that she couldn't do anything to help me. She offered to reschedule another appointment for an hour and a half later. I needed to be seen so I stayed for the next appointment. I was called back two hours later and told that they were running behind schedule. I asked the nurse if this was common and she rudely said that they can cancel any appointment that they choose to. This place has no regard for their clients and I will definitely never be returning to this clinic for anything again. Having to sit and wait for hours just for a medication refill is ridiculous. Do better CHC!!

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience MA Arturo and Dr Mahoney was great. I have bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist. They listen to my concerns and took their time with me during my appointment. I appreciate that and requested them again. I was sad to find out that the Dr is leaving but he recommended someone I was grateful for that.

Fantastic experience: I've been going here the last 6 years since I was pregnant and have had such a great experience, especially with Dr. Mountjoy though she's not there anymore. I have never had a truly bad experience here. Recently I met their therapist Brianna and she's very nice

Negative experience: This place absolutely sucks they don’t care about you here.. they treat you like a drug addict if you’re poor, They make you sign a waiver and take a pee test before they even help you.. I don’t look like a drug addict. I’m literally just poor and on disability and I was treated like that… they don’t ask you any questions about your health. They don’t bring up any questions.. It’s the bare minimum.. Unfortunately, I really can’t find another doctor because I’m poor and my insurance isn’t excepted A lot of places so if you could find someplace better, I suggest you do so.

Fantastic experience: Was a great experience, everyone was really kind and they took my state insurance which is a plus, obviously. I was in so much pain due to a dental abscess so with their help and the walk in clinic I went to prior, my fears were all taken care of. Thank you so much! Went back a few days later to get some more stuff taken care of and the receptionist remembered me by name, I was like "Uh, how did you know my name?" And she just laughed and said I've been in like 3 times. Hey, I think it's pretty cool for someone to remember my name by appearance alone...or maybe I'm just a dork, I don't know.

Fantastic experience: CHC is a good place, but I really loved Audrey Tejeda, RDH. She is amazing and does really in-depth cleaning for your teeth. So if you ever need someone to do your dental, you should definitly ask for her.
