Negative experience: Not happy with them. Wish I had read the reviews before going here. After more than one year being with this dentist, my wife and I decided to go to another dentist because we did not like Venetian (rude, very costly and could not understand the dentist accent when he talked). The new dentist called the Venetian Dental twice to have our records sent to the new dentist. Nothing. They call a third time one month later a day before my wife's new dental appointment. Still nothing. Wife had to cancel that appointment with the new dentist since they still did not have the records. She called Venetian to find out why they had not sent the records. They then told her that we had to come in to sign a release form. It would have been nice to have been told that after the first call. We both went in and signed the forms. Now over a month later Venetian calls wife a day before the rescheduled appointment saying they will not send the records because we have not paid the $100 dollar copying charged to release the records. WHY did they not tell us that while we were there signing the release forms? Had to pay using the credit card over the phone and told them to send the records that day to the new dentist. Of course, had to call them again late in the day to see why the records were not sent. Got excuses and they then hung up on my wife after she said BS. She called the new dentist saying we probably were not getting the records. The new dentist said OK, that they would go ahead and do their own x-rays without charging us. Wife then tried to call Venetian back to tell them to send the records and to not charge use the release form. They would not answer the phone when she called back to tell them. She then sent them an e-mail telling them not to send the records and to not charge us. Of COURSE they then sent the records! We will be disputing the charge with the credit card company. Don't use Venetian Dental.

Fantastic experience: I was a new patient today. Filled out paperwork and was immediately called back by hygienist. She was thorough and efficient. Dentist checked my teeth said we need to do a couple things. Scheduled an appointment and was done. In and out in no time. No waiting in the reception area or in the chair.

Negative experience: I visited Dr. Alexander Gaukhman DMD in July 2025. raise a problem on my top - flux on one my tooth. The doctor said, that three teeth needed to be pulled immediately. Which is what he did. Instead of treating this flux, he removed 3 teeth from the upper jaw. And then he offered to remove all the remaining teeth on the upper jaw and put in a new jaw, which costs about twenty-three thousand dollars ($22,973). The first visit cost one hundred and fifty dollars as soon as I opened the door. When I was left without three teeth, I added another $5,293. I was absolutely stunned and had to return in a few days for temporary dentures. The first temporary three-tooth partial denture was completely unusable, they threw it away. The next version of the removable dentures couldn't even been put back in the mouth. The doctor didn't even come out to look at this dentures. They gave it to me in a box and told me to practice inserting this dentures at home. Result: I sent this dentures back to the doctor's office as completely unusable. After seeing another dentist, I was able to save the remaining teeth on my upper jaw and add new three teeth that had been extracted. It was expensive and very bad experience.

Negative experience: Took my husband in for a toothache looking for some relief on a Sunday. Dr came in with a 16,000 dollar bill. Yes sixteen thousand dollars. Then it went down to 1500.00 to pull 3 teeth. Dr was RUDE. Rude rude. Assistant was pushy and tried using scare tacticts. People...run run run. We left without services and 275.00 less in my bank account. I went to lecom dental school up in Bradenton. Totally professional and extremely CLEAN. So sorry we even went to Venetian. Such a bad experience.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency. Had 2 roots left while extracted by the other dentist. Had constant pain. Dr. Gouhkman was able to extract them without me going to an oral surgeon . Thank you very much ❤️

Negative experience: I visited this clinic today. The assistant is a very kind and pleasant woman — she explained everything to me, unlike the doctor. The unpleasant man gave me exactly one minute of his time, didn’t say goodbye, didn’t answer my questions, turned around, and left. He asked which country I was from; when he learned I was from Russia, he smirked, made a comment about my country that I found offensive, and didn’t help me in any way, only joking around in response to all my questions. A thoroughly unpleasant person — I wouldn’t trust him with my teeth.

Negative experience: Hack dentistry at best. Do not go here. $900 tooth extraction and left bone chips and jagged edges on jaw bone. Caused pain for 4 weeks. Had to go to different dentist to repair damage.

Negative experience: Had implant work done. The implant is fine, however Multiple return visits to fix botched job on the crown and they still could not resolve my problem. Loose crown after a short time, filling on crown screw fell out (multiple times) paid for a mouth guard for bruxism.. it snapped after a few uses. Came in for replacement and "they lost it" after so many visits I'm going to find a better practice with customer service that cares...

Positive experience: Quick service. Grateful for that. I broke a tooth (molar), and it had to be removed. No complaints except it was very expensive (self-pay). Nearly $2000 for one tooth to be removed. That’s about double the national average.

Fantastic experience: I lost a front on a Friday night. My neighbor told me by emergency dental. I called Venitian dental and they took me on Saturday morning. They did a temporary fix till Monday. They are very knowledgeable and fixed my tooth and looks great. I’m going to switch my dental care to them.

Negative experience: AVOID THIS OFFICE AT ALL COSTS! If I could give this office 0 stars I would. I ended up seeing them for the first time about 6 months ago for tooth pain, and it was the only one on my insurance list that still took my insurance. Here is my experience with the office in the past month: 1) I called at 9:30 on a Monday and was able to get an appt for 11. I had a very painful ulcer on a tooth. After sitting in the waiting area, I was told that the dentist was too busy and could I come back on Wednesday. 2) The hygienist gave me a saltwater rinse and said if the ulcer didn't improve in 2 weeks to call, and they would refer me to a periodontist. I called on a Wednesday and was told the note would be given to the doctor. I called the next day because I hadn't heard, and it turns out they wrote the referral info in my chart and never called me. 3) The periodontist I was referred to did not take my insurance by the way. I called yesterday and asked Venetian to fax the referral and xrays to a periodontist thay was referred to me and accepts my insurance. I was told to call back the next morning. 4) I just got off the phone with Venetian. The office told me it didn't have time to send a fax today and HUNG UP ON ME. I see a lot of doctors and I have never experienced this insanely low level of professionalism. I have already emailed another dentist's office that a relative referred me to - to see if it takes my insurance. The other odd thing was that on my credit card bill, the charge was not labeled "Venetian Dental" but "Alex something." I will be posting this review everywhere possible.

We sincerely apologize for the disappointing experience you encountered. On Monday, a dental emergency unexpectedly delayed several appointments, including yours. While we make every effort to stay on schedule, patient chair time can occasionally be unpredictable.

When you returned on Wednesday, there were no visible signs of trauma, and your radiographs did not reveal any abnormalities that would explain your discomfort. You mentioned that Ensure shakes and vitamins had not alleviated your symptoms and expressed a desire for further help.

On June 12th, you contacted our office still experiencing pain and requested a referral, which we promptly provided for the periodontist we typically recommend. Please note that we are not informed about which specialists participate in specific insurance plans, but our goal is always to guide patients toward appropriate care.

All credit card receipts have been reviewed and accurately reflect “Venetian Dental” as the merchant. Additionally, during your referral call, our team was assisting other patients, but assured you the referral would be sent by the end of the day. The call ended after this clarification.

We understand your frustration and regret that your experience did not meet expectations. However, we respectfully remind you that threatening to post a false review is inappropriate and undermines the value of genuine patient feedback.

Negative experience: I went to Venetian to get a quote for a 2 extractions they did x-rays. The doctor finally came in and looked at me told me they can do that but they want to put bone back in there in case I want to have implants. I said how much is that he said they'll tell you in a moment. The long short of it they wanted 1600 dollars to pull two teeth with my insurance. I left call up there to get copy of X-rays they told me that the doctor would have to look them over and get them to me. A week went by. So I went in there they told me yesterday had me sign something a release which I don't understand why I have to sign a release when they're my x-rays and my insurance company has already paid for them. 30 Days later still no X-rays now they want me to pay $50 to have them released. I guess they have to pay for that Tesla truck and the Tesla cars in the parking lot.

My bf has a severely herniated disc and hasn't been able to work, and he took a giant discount off the bill because I had very little money and there are no clinics for adults at the health departments anymore. Negative experience: The worst. Had to wait a long time, and after many calls I received a refund that was due. They wanted to charge me $50 for medical records. Stay away, go visit some other dentist

Fantastic experience: Needed an after-hours emergency tooth extraction for large crack. It was extremely painful. After a few phone calls, we ended up talking with Dr. G at Venetian Dental who was very helpful in explaining what to do until the next morning emergency dentistry appointment with them (on weekend). Now in recovery process, severe pain is gone. Only pain left is at extraction site. Highly recommend Venetian Dental for emergency services, if/when needed.

Fantastic experience: Terrified of the dentist but after my experience 2x in 9yrs with this office , I think I may actually schedule some preventive care. I came in for emergency dental pain after dealing with the pain for weeks. took the day off called first thing in the am. They got be in that afternoon. They had my notes from 9yrs ago they new I was a runner (meaning about to run out the door if I feel pain) they sedated me with a pill gave me a fuzzy blanket and I felt so relaxed..hours later I woke up at home on my couch with no pain. I had 2 back teeth removed and bone graphs with stitches. I barely had any pain all week, I only had to take the pain meds they gave me for 1day. Stitches were removed today a week later and I didn’t even need to take an anxiety pill before walking in. This place may change the way I feel about getting work done.

Negative experience: Money hungry place. Doesn’t care if you’re in pain. Just keeps pushing dentures. Thank god for good dentist in Sarasota who actually want to help people. I came in, in dire pain needing a few extractions and they didn’t care to get me out of pain just kept telling me I need dentures and all this insane work that would cost me $1,500. I left, went and found an AMAZING oral surgeon in Sarasota who even did free XRays because this place refused to release my X-rays. I got exceptional care and the work I needed for $200 NOT $1500.

Negative experience: Disappointed. Dr G tried to upsell me to teeth whitening when all I needed and wanted was a crown. He wouldn’t do the crown unless I agreed to sedation, which I didn’t want. Front office staff were unwelcoming, bordering on rude. Go elsewhere.

Thank you Jennifer for the feedback! Dr. Gaukhman did not upsell teeth whitening. You presented with a crown that was 3-4 shades lighter than your teeth. Naturally, the easiest solution to your problem was to whitening. Not to mention that you wrote on your paperwork that you were interested in whitening. 2nd opinion was to re-do the crown. Sedation was suggested and you have the choice to decline. Which you did. Knowing we were your 3rd dentist to consult on your crown issue maybe our staff is not the problem? Negative experience: Horrible rude treatment by the dentist. Dismissive attitude and refusal to listen to me as the patient with my wants as for the procedure, no regard for my ability to tolerate anesthesia of any kind and ref Unless he can sedate me.

Fantastic experience: Whoever writes a negative post about this office ,they are plan full of BS . I own a concierge business on Siesta Key an have sent well over 30 clients to this dentist office , NOT 1 of the clients came back with anything negative about the office or the dentist. If you didn't read the discount coupon wrong it is not the Dentist fought you are uneducated. He is the fairest priced an most Humane dentist I have ever visited .

Fantastic experience: Snowbird here. Broken crown again. Same crown was repaired 26 months ago by Venetian dental. They did a great job at that time. Negative experience: I came with toothache in particular top front tooth. After multiple X-Rays, doctor told me that I need two crowns ans asked me to sign something like $2,800 out of pocket after insurance. I asked why I need 2 crowns if only one tooth hurts. I asked what happened if pain continue under the crown. I asked what happenes if I would not do crown. Instead of answering these questions, doctor told me with a smile: "what dental school did you finish". Astonished, I looked into doctor's eyes, but I saw only dollars sign in his eyes. He did not prescribed me antibiotics or painkillers. I came with a toothache and left with a toothache.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Gaukhman and his staff are highly trained and so professional and compassionate. My father is a dementia patient residing in memory care and developed a very dangerous absess. Dr. Gaukhman took care of my dad right a way with gentle expertise. Negative experience: Beware! Worst dentist in Fla with no compassion at all! This place advertises as emergency but Joy turned my daughter away while she was in pain and in need of treatment. Joy was beyond rude, she was just horrible to my little girl. Dr Gaukman has a two star rating on Healthgrades and WebMD. We found other dentists in the area that had similar "emergency" hours with much better dentists and a staff that was functional. Just don't go here. Update to the reply - We never discussed pricing at all, don't be fooled their fact check is just a lie. Stay away.

Fantastic experience: Reading these reviews. Dr.G is doing my surgery tomorrow and so grateful. I am 50 and it took this Dr. to tell me the way it is about taking care of our teeth. Negative experience: I don't know what is going on with the medical field. They provide a service and I am paying them. They don't get to tell you what to do. I think they forget what industry they are in and that there are tons of others out there. The arrogance of this place was the worst I've ever encountered. They turned away my business just because I didn't want them to take my picture. I have a right to my privacy and they should respect it. They had my drivers license in hand and it has my identity. Nothing else is necessary in order to provide the dental service. I don't care if it's their process or not. Not to mention how driving up was a red flag and a indication on how they treat their customers. Multiple marketing vehicles in front row parking. They must have alot of extra money ..for all that. Minus mine. Thank you. You did me a favor turning me away. You don't deserve my money. Update! Lol. Response from them proves they are unprofessional. Not only lying but "trying" to insult. Too funny. Again ..don't give these people your money. They'll just buy more vehicles.

Fantastic experience: Had broke my crown. They scheduled me in the afternoon. Everyone was very professional and I have to have the lab make a new one instead of the office created one. I Must be hard on this one crown. Have had others from them with no breakage. Would recommend the office for your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Very quick to respond when I called on a Sunday. I needed an appointment on Monday, and they were able to see me at 10:30 am on Monday. Negative experience: This Dentist is unbelievably rude and arrogant. I wanted to know how much he would charge for two implants and he wanted to pull out six front teeth that just had root canals and crowns because he wanted to put in four implants with a full denture! Like why would I want to do that, so he rudely walked away. It’s his way($$$) or no way!

Fantastic experience: Took Mom for an emergency appointment and Venetian Dental took good care of her. She ended up having to get upper dentures and they were ready for her in 3 days. The fit went smooth and the cost was reasonable.

Positive experience: The doctor was very rude in saying that the Dr that I had at home might need glasses and seemed sexist when I said it was a female. Very unprofessional I thought. I am working with her on all my teeth problems. I did need one pulled the day before Christmas and I did get that problem solved and no problem, but the Dr. himself needed a little more customer service training.

Negative experience: EXTREMELY unprofessional of staff members to text me off of a personal cell phone in response to inquiring about a dental emergency. UPDATE: Yeah, you guys are SO professional you couldn’t even tell me the name of which practice you’re from until I asked several times. Maybe let people know where you’re from if you’re going to use that as a business practice, just some advice you should probably take. I hope they take your license to practice with that attitude towards patients who need help.

Negative experience: Instead of talking to the patient about what is going on. They rather bash you with this ordeal of drinking coffee or tea. Yeah I might be a smoker. But the jerk didn't care. No compassion. Didn't grab a seat and try to talk to me. Only cared about money. That is my biggest turn off. Very grateful for the other dental office. Negative experience: Venetian Dental is the worst laziest office that can be expected. The office staff sets your appointment for 2 months out then refuses to verify your insurance til 2 days before your appointment, holding you hostage to come into their hell, like going to a dentist isn't bad enough. I refused their appointments because the lazy office staff members are incapable of doing their jobs correctly. Do not expect them to help you in anyway. I would give them zero stars if it was possible.

Negative experience: Notified them of a wisdom tooth that came in and shifted the molar in front of it so I wanted that molar removed to allow the wisdom tooth to come through so that I could eventually have it pulled, and also get a cleaning. Appointment was never booked due to staff telling me that they won’t do it. Could’ve gone in for a cleaning and been evaluated to see if they could, but they downright refused me service. I’ve never had a dental office refuse to schedule me and try to tell me to go to an oral surgeon to have a tooth pulled, but there’s a first time for everything I guess. Ended up going to West Village in Wellen Park. Much better decision.

Negative experience: Avoid this place at all cost . No empathy and they are gouging you . Worst unethical dentist and dental technician I have ever met in my life. I wanted to leave immediately but I was in such a pain and agony I could not and they took advantage of me . Shame on both of them . They gave me an X-ray exam immediately and the lady technician was very bossy and pushy . No finesse and very rude. The dentist , after looking at the Xray told me that my tooth was rotten and that he had to extract it immediately. He then left the room and I was there by myself with the rude, bossy and pushy dental technician. She then told me that it will be $1400 to have my rotten tooth extracted! I was shocked and I couldn’t believe it . I asked her if it was a mistake and she said no . I had no dental insurance and she told me this is why they were charging me so much . I then asked her if the dentist could give me a break and charge me less . She went to see him and when she came back she told me the best they could do was $ 1000. I was such in agony I said yes and I paid $ 1000. This is the worst dental procedure I had ever had done and being taken for a ride in this difficult situation you should be ashamed. You took advantage of my misfortune and took my hard earned money from you . It is disgraceful and unacceptable. I will NEVER NEVER recommend your practice and NEVER NEVER go back to your office. You GOUGED me and it is despicable.

Negative experience: I don’t feel as if I was taken care of accordingly. The extraction was more than just the feeling of pressure. I’m in so much pain way more than a toothache. I feel as if there is bone or something still in my mouth. Staff was good , but I felt it was rushed and not reviewed correctly .

This dentist that we accepted his price and agreed an service and then for some unknown reason the dentist asked my wife and daughter to leave without an explanation ….i called and talked the dentist that was involved and he call me a looser !!! this kind of behavior is not acceptable by a proffesional dentist….i advise anyone that is thinking of going to his office to please look at his reviews….he has multiple 1 star reviews that I wish I looked up before I sent my family….please be aware of who you use in your life as far as proffesional services…

Negative experience: really bad experience there and at their Port Charlotte office. Was trying to have a partial completed. They kept having me come in and it would not fit. then they would cancel appointments an hour before the appt. I had already taken off work so this was Financially hard on me. then they would lie and tell me they had it completely done (teeth and all) and on my last visit, just the metal brace! they lied again. AND it still did not fit! They blamed it on a new lab. I was so upset. I told them I just wanted me money back. They next day they told me to find another doctor and they would refund me my money. They refunded only a portion. I was left to find another doctor. no communication, no apology. When I DID find another Dentist, my new dentist tried to get some information from them and told me that they kept ignoring and hanging up on them. Stay far away from this location AND their Port Charlotte location!!!

Positive experience: I have used this office a couple different times now. Overall I feel the staffing is courteous and professional. However I don't feel that they fully explained the procedures I would need to do or the costs involved upfront. They don't listen to me the patient when I explain my feelings and financial situation. I feel also that they're a bit more expensive than many other dentists. They are pushy about scheduling appointments and services and demanding financial payments / copayment. Like many people I have to schedule appointments according to my personal needs financially and when I'm able to schedule appointments and pay for them. I feel as though they could have been a little more flexible and more upfront about all the details of what would be needed.

Negative experience: Me and my family where on vacation and our son which is 7 years old had to go to this place. We paid about $680 to get two teeth pilled and when we got there it was right before closing and they pulled one but they didn't pull the other one because of an infection. We decided that when we get back from vacation we would take him to the family dentist, my wife called the next morning to cancel the appointment and try to get them to do a partial refund because they did not complete the work. They said no.I am not pleased with this place and I will let the BBB know. we left the next day although a call was made the next morning to inquire about a partial refund. we called well wiithin the 24 hour time

We always aim to provide the best care possible for our patients, especially when it comes to children and families on vacation. The cost was only $600 including FREE nitrous. Your poor minor son was not able to have the second tooth extracted and we wanted to make sure he was comfortable verses Mom saying," Just hold him down." We do require a 24 hour notice for sedation patients, that was not given. Therefore, a refund of $280 was not given back.

Don't remember much after that, but getting home, very painless procedure. Great place to go, if you need dental work done.

Fantastic experience: Just a normal cleaning, but Kelli was such an awesome person. My 1st time there, (I've only had 4 other Dental places in my life because I don't just change for the sake of changing) I feel like I've known her for a long time. But more important, I feel like I got a good thorough cleaning and really like the Dentist as well. As long as they take my insurance I will be going there. Have my next appt. set for January.

Negative experience: The hygienist actually did a great job. She’s very personable. I needed a referral to an endodontist and I went through the process of getting that set up however they had sent me to one out of my network so it was going to cost me a fortune. I asked for a referral to an in network Doctor and they were less than helpful. Very unfriendly and unprofessional with this part of the process and I will be moving to another dentist over this interaction.

Negative experience: I have been a faithful patient here for several years. However my last visit I asked Dr Kim if my gums were healthy. He and his assistant ( which I think is his wife) said that was a question for my hygienist and not the doctor. He was doing over $1000 of work on some fillings but they were both so rude and dismissive of me. I’ve never felt so disrespected. I won’t be returning. The lack of care and respect is unacceptable. I would not recommend. This is an unethical practice like many in the dental field who only cares about “sales” not patients care.I don’t know how they do it but they delete bad reviews. Another unethical practice. I’ll be addressing with Google. .

Fantastic experience: I can’t express my appreciation from the staff at Waterside Dental on E. Venice Avenue in Venice. Negative experience: HORRIBLE PLACE!!! UNPROFESSIONAL! Our experience at Venetian Dental was deeply unsatisfactory. During our first visit, they insisted on a full-mouth X-ray and refused to see my mother without it. Despite her concerns about her thyroid and informing the staff that she had recently undergone an X-ray, and asked just one area to be looked at. They said they had no time for that and needed their own. Disregarding that she only wanted one area looked at.They didn’t like that and were then very rude, and pushy. She then reluctantly agreed to proceed with the X-ray. She was then referred by Dr. Kim to another clinic to see a specialist, who then developed a treatment plan since her tooth looked as if it need bone graft. After seeing the specialist and returning to the Venice office for the second scheduled appointment, we waited 40 minutes to be seen. Dr. Alexander Gaukhman entered the room, not Dr. Kim who my mother had seen initially. We asked were he is he said he is in charge. We were eager to discuss all the results and plan for the crown removals for the upcoming bone graft surgery. We asked serious questions and right away he was irritated and unresponsive to our inquiries about pricing for necessary dental work and the timeframe for the procedures, given that she is temporarily visiting. He said give me the other clinics breakdown and prices then I will provide you mine. Really confusing. If they referred us there, why are they lacking communication and not on the same page. Dr. Gaukhman then rudely disagreed with the treatment plan and wouldn’t answer why, and proceeded to make rude remarks about my mother's status as the patient, instructing her to sit straight forward and not look at the X-ray screen behind her. He also made inappropriate comments about "torturing" her, which was beyond insane. Dr. Gaukhman cited my mother's initial reluctance to undergo an X-ray during the first appointment as a reason for not wanting to proceed with her treatment. He not only refused to provide specifics on prices, rejected the entire treatment plan, but he kicked us out screaming throughout the clinic. Staff was staring and he was very rude. I took my phone to record him waving his arms around and he ran away behind the front desk then smiled evil. I never seen this behavior from any profession before. I would strongly caution others against choosing Venetian Dental in Venice, Florida, based on our disappointing encounter. The lack of proper care, communication, and professionalism at this clinic raises concerns about the quality of service they provide. Just go read their other horrible reviews. StAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!!!!

Positive experience: Although the front desk people and my nurse was very sweet overall I can only give a three. I was seen for a very painful emergent broken tooth as we were out of town in vacation and far from our dentist. I was rushed in and the dentist barely spoke to me and was really rough when completing the exam. I feel rushed and not prioritized. I was scared and in a new place and they explained nothing and seemed annoyed the numbing medicine was not working on me. Every time I said it was hurting the dentist hugged and puffed and gave me another rough shot and walked out of the room. I had never had an emergency procedure done before and was so nervous. I just wish I would have been made to feel more comfortable.

Negative experience: Coupon said free exam and 150 for tooth extraction. Wanted 656 to remove tooth. I told them them 4 times my dentist wanted 500, 200 to pull tooth 300 to fill bone. Their tech rushed me into get x-rays even b4 I saw the Doctor. I told her I had x-rays. Dentist came in told him could not afford 500 that was why I was there. Tech brought their estimate in for 686. I told her did you not understand after I told you and the Dentist, I could not afford 500. You bring in an estimate for 656 for Just PULLING TOOTH. bait and switch if I have ever seen it . Buyer beware I just read the most ridiculous response to my review. This place is a scan. Review complaints on Better Business site and Yelp b4 even thinking about going here.

To clarify your concerns, we understand your dentist has their fees as we have ours. In fact, we offered to honor "your" dentist fees to try and help you with your budget.
Doctors must have a x-ray to properly diagnose. It is customary to have the x-rays and oral photos ready for the doctor when he comes to see the patient.
To address your coupon complaints. When using coupons you are able to use one, in the absence of insurances. They can not be combined together. It's clearly not a bait and switch, the coupons state the same disclosure.
The Better Business site saw your compliant the same and closed the case.

Negative experience: So, full disclosure. I don’t know if this dentist still works there. I don’t even remember which specific dentist this was. But it was here, and multiple of their dentists were shady to me. First of all. I got a filling on my front tooth here as a child. That filling went bad. Now, as an adult, I just had to get my entire front tooth removed and pay $800 for a partial denture so I’m not just without a front tooth. So that’s cool. Thanks to that dentist for giving me a filling that rotted my entire tooth. And then when I was a bit older, my mom took me to get my wisdom teeth removed. They tried to quote us $1400. My mom knew that wasn’t right with her insurance so we went somewhere else. Sure enough, she paid a grand total of $35. Maybe management’s changed since then as this was from around 2009-2013. But I just got my entire front tooth removed on Tuesday this week because of this busted filling and I’m mad. I have no recourse cause I don’t remember who did it and it was so long ago it’s probably passed whatever statues of limitations exist, so I’m just kind of venting here that these people ruined my teeth as a child and tried to dupe my mother into paying $1400 she did not have to pay.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting from out of town when a filling fell out of a molar. We walked in and they were able to get me in and out in about 2 hours. I am very pleased with the new filling. They took the time to get my bite perfect and my tooth polished to my liking. Shelby and the front desk ladies were very kind and compassionate to my situation. They took my out of state insurance and the out of pocket cost was minimal. I’m very thankful to the dentist there for fitting me in and doing an incredible job.

Negative experience: Waited till I was in the back after x-rays to say I was declined, say on their page that they work with you and had nothing but firm decline, also wanted $1700 for a $150 tooth extract and free anesthesia as quoted on their website.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience! I haven't been to the dentist in a couple years and was worried how it was going to go/cost and it was great. Friendly staff and I didn't have to wait long. The price listed as their special was the actual price I paid which isn't very often for the dentist/medical procedures. I booked my next appointment while I was there and am actually looking forward to the dentist again. I've found my new dentist's office that I will use from now on. Thank you!

Negative experience: Wrong place to go. I will end up in the ER by next weekend. I'm in worse pain than before I went in a week ago. Then I was told by Dr gaukman that I'm not in pain he called me a liar. Way over priced thay tried to charge me $1700 to pull a tooth. Don't give them your business I hope they're permanently shut down.

Fantastic experience: I have 'dentist phobia' and the dentists and associates here have been terrific! I have been taken care of in a courteous and efficient manner by the front desk manager, and associate Rhona did a great job last week, as did Lorena in my prior two visits. I have had an extraction done and it was absolutly stress and pain free. Fear not the dentist if you use this office!

Fantastic experience: I came to Venetian from a referral. I am investing in a large sales training video series for my firm, and was concerned certain issues with my teeth would distract the viewer from my messaging. However, fixing them meant getting eleven crowns which I knew was going to be expensive and it's money I could not afford to waste. Ultimately, I was afraid of investing in the video series (about $20K+) only to be disappointed in the final product because of my teeth. So, I spent the money and had Venetian do all the work. Wow. I am absolutely elated with the final result. When I saw the care they placed in creating my temporaries while the crowns were being created, I started getting a good feeling. But the final result came out so well, so white, straight and natural looking, I can't wait for my video shooting day. Thank you Dr. Gaukhman and team!

Negative experience: In Venice visiting my folks. Had an abscess and needed to see a dentist right away. Chose Venetian dental because my mom goes there. I was relieved to find out that they could see me right away. My initial thought was, “Hurray, this place is awesome!” However, when I called back to double check to make sure their office was in network for my insurance, I was met with the rudest, most unprofessional response I think I’ve ever encountered. I was told to come to the office to verify the information. He said that I was wasting his time calling. He was rude and abrupt and then hung up. I called back and asked him why he was so rude and he said he was the owner and he was very busy and that I should go to a different dentist. I probably should have left it at that, but, I had to see with my own eyes what type of business, with an owner like that, was actually like. I spoke to the female receptionist and told her about the rude and unprofessional treatment I’d received on the phone from the owner and suggested he maybe didn’t have the temperament to field patient calls. I then moved on and began to ask her if she could check to make sure their office accepted my insurance. Her response was that if I’d already done my research I should know already. Of course, I’d already decided with that initial rude and unprofessional phone conversation there was no way I was going to have any doctor from this office work on my teeth, so, as a courtesy, I wanted to cancel my appointment. I was told, in no uncertain terms, that I had already been removed from their schedule. No shock there. But, why would he have insisted I appear in person to double check my insurance information if he removed me from the schedule? As if this entire episode wasn’t enough of a debacle, I snapped a photo of the sign they had posted at the reception desk. I showed the receptionist her own sign and turned around to leave and I was verbally accosted by a patient in the waiting room! I told him may God bless you and he told me to go to Hell!!! OMG If I could give zero stars, I would have. And, yes, I do think I could do their job better! #lookingfordentistrunbyprofessionals Update February 28, 2024 In response to Venetian Dental. I will most definately NOT remove my review as it was NOT written in error. You don’t know me because you told me to find another dentist and not to WASTE YOUR TIME BECAUSE YOU WERE BUSY, when I inquired about whether or not your office took my dental insurance. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone DID say those things to me and DID insist I come to the physical office, which, I DID. Only to be dismissed by the receptionist and told that THEY had canceled my appointment. And that IS an actual photograph, I took, in your office, the day I came in, posted right at the receptionist desk, and was treated so rudely and unprofessional. Nice try trying to gaslight me. Not going to work.
