Fantastic experience: Madalyn was very kind from the moment she started my scans, which really set the tone for my appointment. I then met with Lorri, the dental hygienist, and she really eased my nerves by just being so informative, sweet, and assuring. Dr. Botera came, and provided me with a walk through of my areas of concern so I knew exactly what could be done, what's expected, and my options. I finished things off speaking with Nautica, and her lovely personality made talking about the pricing (something everyone hates) easier. (Aries twin!). I had a great experience here today and I'm grateful for them making what's such a nerve-racking process, as easy as possible!

Negative experience: Horrible and overpriced I called and the girl at the desk picked up asked me to hold I heard her pick the phone back up and hung it up and she did this each time I called a couple a weeks ago when I called for my son another lady told me call back and ask for someone else when I asked her could she just transfer me she caught a attitude that whole front desk area is lazy when you go in all they’re doing is sitting at the desk eating and gossiping about absolutely nothing it’s ridiculous I don’t see how they’re still in business you go in for a cleaning and they give you all this other extra stuff that needs to be done and then trick you into getting a credit card go at your own risk

Negative experience: They cancelled my appointment last year, they cancelled my appointment this year. This year, after rescheduling, they neglected to schedule the entire appointment which I clarified after talking with receptionist on the phone--i had to make a new appointment, after waiting 45 minutes to see plan options person. Upon arrival at new appointment they told me the computer must have cancelled my appointment. After waiting 35 minutes they got me in for cleaning and then the charting machine wasn't working. In all of my 65 years I've never experienced this level of--not sure what to call it. There's more to say but that's enough for now.

Negative experience: The “Yes” goal wasn’t achieved in my instance. Even the referral to another dentist was not accomplished successfully. It’s sad.

Fantastic experience: Aspen dental in Dothan, Alabama is my go to place. They have phenomenal product great warranties and the dental assistant. Tiana and Dr. Duckworth are some of the best I’ve ever dealt with totally relaxing worth the trip.

Negative experience: The way they do their x-rays is the most painful I've ever experienced...I'd give that part 0 stars. They can't seem to get scheduling right and expected me to be there at 7:30, despite having called, emailed and texted to let me know that my appt was at 9:30. Also, their office is cluttered and not particularly hygienic. I won't be back.

We are also going to have to finance my mom‘s dentures, so they worked with us really well on getting that done. The only drawback was that they seem to be short-staffed, so we were there for 4 1/2 hours.

Fantastic experience: The first few times I went to aspen dental it was great. After I got my teeth pulled the service declined. The last few times I have went aspen dental has not been that great. After the last time I went I had to get a little ugly. I returned today and the service was much better. Going forward I hope it stays good. So today’s visit I felt like they listened and took the time with me. I hope it continues to be great. If not I will find another dentist to do my lower dentures. I feel like I have spent enough money to have great services.

Negative experience: Do not trust anything this place tells you they just cheated us out of thousands of dollars they had us finance 4 thousands dollars and then charged my insurance thousands for partials went today to get fitted for them and the office manger told us we did not pay for them that it would be a extra charge and they sent me the email saying it was time to be fitted for them and everyone i have talked to told us they are charging people outrageous prices so they have to finance it with American first if you need a dentist find some where else to go aspen will lie and cheat you out of money

Negative experience: I went to Aspen Dental and was told I had Cancer of the Gums,,,I one went there to get a new set of Dentures.I have been wearing Dentures since 2002., that's all I went there for.I had no Teeth to be pulled at all.,,, just a fresh set of Dentures.First the Dentist just told me bluntly you have Cancer,,,no reason as to Why he said that.Next the older Lady Hygienist came in and said you have Cancer all with no explanation.I asked why and offered no reasons to say that.So I left and gave me a referral slip to a Orthopedic Surgeon.All this time they have me scared to Death.So after waiting for my appointment with the Orthopedic Surgeon I go and he cuts a chunk of Tissue out of my Gums and send my Biopsy off to be tested.The Biopsy came back negative.Now I have consulted an Attorney and my Wife and I are going to Sue.Stay away to Aspen Dental as they no. Idea about anything.I only left one Star as I had to do that to post this Review.

Negative experience: Don’t waist your time with this office. They really could care less if you’re in pain & needing a tooth pulled. Refused to pull my husbands tooth bc it was a day they don’t do extractions. Then why schedule our appointment for that day? Like really what y’all do up here then? Why are you even open that day just close the damn doors. We finally get seen & they say there not gonna do anything today or anytime soon bc there so over scheduled. The lady at the front desk was rude, I called her when we’re in route told her we were running a little late she told us not to even bother to come if we were more than 10 minutes late ok so fine we done 80 mph to get there on time and we waited 2 hours in the lobby before we were seen only to be told nope not today. So nope we definitely will not be back.

Negative experience: I went in for an EMERGENCY service on September 30,2025. I was there in the office for an extended period of time getting exrays/evaluation. I was scheduled for 2 crowns on October 8th at 8:30 am which I PAID for in FULL in advance!!! Waiting a week for a repair; upon arrival I was told that there was NO appointment in the system for me. I was then asked to come back at 10:30 for a cleaning only, and was told that I could be scheduled for my temporary crowns another week.. HORRIBLE experience!! There was NO concern whether I was in pain. I asked for a refund, and took my business elsewhere. I do not recommend this establishment!! Side note:: I only came here because my regular dentist closed his practice due to medical issues..I was his patient for almost 30 years.

Negative experience: All I wanted was to get a filling replaced because it was almost impossible to eat or drink anything hot or cold. I paid $40 upon signing in, than after 2.5 hours after a complete exam I was given an estimate of more than $17,000 to fix any and I presumed all dental issues. Needless to say I departed and am now looking for a Dentist that will replace one filling

Negative experience: Had 6 bottom teeth pulled and a partial put I that I can't wear yet it hurts so bad to snap In I want to pass out.the staff says it's because of the swelling it doesn't fit in there right they force it in that's cut my gum I got a blister in the front of my mouth and I can't wear my teeth that I paid $5,000 for.

Negative experience: Once I was finally seen it worked out somewhat okay. It was concerning seeing people leave as they fussed about having to wait so long while going out the door. I was disappointed to find out that United healthcare only covered a portion of the exorbitant costs and decided to only use whatever they covered completely assuming that they actually really do cover because it's not guaranteed. I guess it's a little better than Dixieland Dental in a way but my experience left a little bit to be desired. I must have spent A good 1.5 hours just waiting around.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible. Their employees don't know what time zone they are located it. Was coming for a specific doctor who is apparently not with the place anymore. Got there an hour early and still waited over an hour to see a different doctor. The scheduler was rude and pushy refused to give me available dates other then 1 that I repeatedly told then wasn't good. The doctor I did see was pleasant but the rest of the staff leave a whole lot to be desired. Not to mention how filthy the place is. I'd give zero stars if possible. Do not waste your time. Apparently good for drugs though, they called some pain meds and muscle relaxers in to a random pharmacy even though I stated multiple times I wasn't in pain.

Negative experience: Terrible. The receptionist was rude. Completely ignored me while she finished her conversation with her buddy..she never acknowledged me at all until I ask for a pen to sign in..Had appointment scheduled for over a week when I got to the office she said I never confirmed my appointment so I would not be seeing a dentist I had the confirmation in my phone. Was told it would be the next week before I could see a dentist. Spoke to a supervisor and she did nothing to help the situation. Will not return.

Positive experience: I definitely want to say that I love the attention that was paid to me during my visit I had another appointment that I had to meet and they made sure and kept it in mind as I was there I really appreciated that everybody that I've encountered has been awesome and really helped me out, any question I had or anything that went on was met with nothing less than professionalism, positivity and succession in my ordeal, again really appreciated the hospitality the personal attention and the professionalism that I experienced in my visit with Aspen dental I would have given five stars but nothing can be perfect except the Father BUT you guys were damn close, will definitely recommend you all and wish you all the best of luck and God bless!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Every aspect of my visit was very pleasing. This was my first experience with Aspen Dental and I am looking forward to having a good outcome with them providing me with a full upper denture. I will also add that I got a next day appointment from my initial phone call and I was very pleased with the full charge for getting a full upper denture.

Negative experience: Date of visit: 7/15/2024 This is my third attempt in three years to visit this dental location for an annual cleaning. The first time, was in November, 2022. I spent roughly 3.5 hours in the office, but only had attention from the hygienist for about 20 minutes, and about 10 minutes from the Doctor. This included arriving thirty minutes early prior to my appointment (made a month in advance) for my "new patient" X-rays. The staff were friendly and apologetic and promised this was not normal. My wife and I tried to return for our annuals the next year (2023) on the dates that we had been scheduled. The staff then told us that we were not in the system. We showed them proof of the prior visit and scheduling and they said that their computer systems had "crashed" and they lost all their data. They were very apologetic and made us reschedule, again as "new patients." This was in November 2023 and, due to work and the holidays, I could not reschedule that year and had to push my visit back to 2024, thereby missing my annual cleaning in 2023. Then, today on 7/15/2024, I went in for my 2024 annual check-up and cleaning. I arrived thirty minutes early for the "new patient" X-rays and finished with those by about 4:20 PM (Appointment was at 4:30 PM). I then proceeded to wait until 5:30 PM before they took me back and put me in the chair. I then waited thirty minutes in the chair until about 6:00 PM before the hygienist arrived, apologized for the delay, and said that it was an unusual day and that it was "not normally like this," in nearly a repeat of what I was told two years prior. The Doctor came down the hall to spend about 60 seconds looking in my mouth, said it was "good," told me to buy an electric toothbrush and then to come back another day to finish since they were out of time today. I was back out on the street by 6:10 PM, having spent 2 hours and 10 minutes inside the building with only the barest of checks. There was no discussion about my oral health, no review of X-rays taken today, no review of the gum check the hygienist sped through, no cleaning, no paperwork, nothing. Just 2 hours and 10 minutes of my life I will never get back and some sore gums from the X-ray insert and the poking and prodding during the high-speed gum check. To top it all off, while I was waiting, I made small talk with one of the employees and mentioned the computer crash in 2023. The employee told me it was not a crash, but rather, a hacker that broke into the system and stole the patient data before crashing the system. That means that Aspen knew our data had been hacked and stolen and covered it up, intentionally not telling its customers and patients. That breaks any trust I might have had with Aspen. My wife and I will not be back. We will find another dentist. I strongly recommend that others do the same. Update: 6/30/25 We never did go back and, despite the owner's response to my review, no one from Aspen Dental ever did contact us. We found a great new dental home with Southern Pine Dental new Southeast Hospital and strongly recommend them for fast, professional, friendly service! They are a great family dentist and not a chincy chain store like Aspen.

Negative experience: I am so done with Aspen dental! I had an appointment to pick up permanent dentures 6/12/25 at 1.00. I came up here and they were not ready. I was told they would be ready before I left for my vacation. I drove over 45 miles for nothing. The office didn’t not reach out to me to let me know they were not ready for pick up. This is not the first time I made a trip to the Dothan office for nothing. The least the office could do is to call you ahead of time to let you know they made a mistake and you don’t need to come in. I also had a lower partial plate made and only received the temporary plate. They never made my permanent partial plate. Yet I paid for it. I never received a refund for not getting the permanent partial. This is unacceptable service! I was told they will not make my permanent partial unless I set up an appointment for a deep periodontal cleaning. I paid a lot of money to get this all done. Once I pick up my permanent upper denture, I am done with Aspen dental and will never make an appointment with them. I also had two crowns down and after they put the temporary crown on and I came back before getting the permanent crowns; I told the dentist that my tooth was very sensitive to cold. He asked me do you want a root canal . I told him I didn’t and asked if I needed one. He told me that the sensitivity should go away, but it hasn’t. So basically , I paid for two permanent crowns that are going to fail and need a root canal or pulled and get a bridge. All that money paid for those two crowns is going to be wasted one that tooth fails. Why would they do that? Is it just to keep getting money from their customers? This is so unacceptable!

Fantastic experience: I have an absessed tooth, didn't want to go to Aspen because of negative things I heard. They were the only local dentist who could see me. I was petrified (a good reason why I have so many issues). EVERYONE there; from the receptionist, to xray tech, hygienist, doctor & financial coordinator were very kind & professional. I even had an issue getting my antibiotic after hours, the on-call dentist called promptly & went out of her way to help me. I'm excited to be with them!

Fantastic experience: Very nice staff. Everyone was very kind and explained everything patiently and in way that was easy to understand. They also offered many ways to pay and do payment plans. It was a very clean, organized building as well. Best dentist I’ve been to as an adult.

Positive experience: Very detail oriented. No long waits in the front office or in the back. Very gentle with attention to to making sure you are aware of every step. Since I live close by, staggering services on different days, isn't all that important. Very to the point and don't hold punches. Is seeming a well oiled machine.

Negative experience: I went for an extraction and they requested I get a cleaning which was excellent but when you get to the counter omg your hit with a huge cost and then they put u on a payment plan for hundreds or even thousands of dollars just to pull a tooth. I've been to many dentists before but never like ASPEN dental they are definitely to expensive and still got my extraction at another dentists with little cost same service and hassle free.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ASPEN DENTAL TO ANYONE.

Negative experience: Don’t even bother. Between the Enterprise and Dothan locations they have cancelled an appointment on me 3 times. I would give zero stars if it was possible. Blessing in disguise because if they don’t care enough to even get you in, imagine how little they care about placing an implant properly. Aspen, you are the problem.

Fantastic experience: On Tuesday I broke tooth on my upper plate. Wednesday morning I turned in my dentures and by 3:00 they were ready for me to pick them up. It was covered by the warranty and I was not charged for the repair. The staff was very nice and even opened the doors, and served me, 15 min before scheduled open time.

Negative experience: My first two visits were great, but my third and fourth visits were the worst. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. Even the male doctor was rude. On my last visit, a doctor never came in to assess. I would not recommend anyone to go to Aspen in Dothan, AL.

Fantastic experience: I just had the most amazing experience. Even though I haven’t open mouth smiled in years I was made very comfortable. Honestly I didn’t even show my teeth in my wedding photos. Everyone was very informative and very kind. They explained multiple options for treatment and when it came down to the most important thing to me “cost” they were actually able to get me in a financial help which I told her I don’t think I’ll get approved but you can try. I’m excited about getting my next appointment and I’m excited that my wife will see me smile once with my teeth in the picture. I told her a smile to be proud of truly will be priceless to me. Fantastic experience: The staff there are the best I've ever seen. Doctors as well.. just a remarkable team .. my mother even decided to change her dental services over to aspen . Thank you so much .. I will refer Aspen to everyone I know.
