Fantastic experience: Dr. Low is a compassionate and intelligent caregiver. When he gives me advice about dental treatment I trust that it will be necessary and implemented perfectly. Martha, the hygienist who usually cleans my teeth, is congenial and efficient.

Positive experience: At a minimum, somewhat expensive, and they no longer accept a dental discount plan that the retired previous owner did accept, it is a much, much better discount plan than what they accept now. Sometimes, the one they accept now, doesn't get you much of a discount at all. So Always, call ahead of time to see if they accept your dental discount plan The Dentists are excellent, and so are the hygienists But sometimes they really get you on the price, mostly on the expensive services

Fantastic experience: I been going to this den it's probably about 12 years. Since Dr. Sheldon left it not as friendly and they have a high turnover rate. While always see new face often didnt use to see that before. You can tell they are under new management. It does not seem like they value the employee.

She was very upbeat and made me feel like I was just hanging out with a family member! Dr. Low is very laid back and he is not in the business of telling you need more work done than you actually need. He on a few occasions has saved me a huge dental bill! Positive experience: Sent me to another dentist for certain procedures which was a big pain. Would be nice if they were a one stop shop. They don’t work Fridays which I’m happy for them but not good for customers schedules. They do a good job being persistent to get you scheduled and alert you when your appointment is near. Overall I like them and the work they do.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient here for over 25 years and have always appreciated the excellent care from the dental staff. However, at my recent bi-annual cleaning (covered 100% by my insurance with no copay), the receptionist insisted I pay a 10% copay at the time of service. This has never been required before. When I questioned it, I was met with dismissive & unfriendly attitude. Especially from the lady that sits closest to the door. I later confirmed my insurance paid 100% of the claim and I have since requested reimbursement for the copay I was charged. I will no longer be continuing care at this place. I hope they handle their customer service professionalism and system issues for other customers…so they don’t experience the same issue.

Fantastic experience: Very professional staff. Martha(Dental Hygienist) does a wonderful job on my teeth. She is very professional and knowledgeable about my teeth and the whole dental profession. Drs. Law and Reveru is very fortunate to have her on staff. The entire staff are knowledgeable and compassionate. Really a wonderful place to establish your dental care.

Negative experience: Went for a cleaning and didn’t walked out of there feeling like I got what I needed. Instead I got hurt while the person was taking pictures of my teeth and pocking my gums. Will not be back again.

Fantastic experience: Another semiannual dental cleaning and exam with the Doctor and her skilled staff. As comfortable as possible in a dental chair, I got props for my home teeth maintenance program. The dentist checked my teeth and found them all good. Yeah! Horizon Dental Care is the best.

Fantastic experience: I have major anxiety and the doctor and technician were really patient with me. They let me take the time I need to gather myself and Dr. Low talked me throughout my procedure to keep me calm. Just like any other visit, it's going to hurt if you don't take care of your mouth accordingly so I will be going back for regular visits cause, damn extractions hurt.

Positive experience: I have been going here for years and have had great experiences with professional staff until my visit yesterday. My gums bled a lot, so the hygienist put gauze on my top front gums. He the left and a lady pulled the gauze off which was stuck. She then immediately did a fluoride treatment and rushed me out. When I got in the car and looked in the mirror, I saw there was a lot of dried blood and still gauze stuck to my crowns. It looked horrible, and I had to go home to clean it up. I realized they had not polished my teeth, and the dentist had not come over to see me. I know they are short staffed on hygienists, and I believe this one was brand new. I was very unhappy with this visit, but I know this is not how they normally do things.

Positive experience: The people were nice. I found it strange that I could see every other patient so openly though. An option for more privacy would have been a bit more relaxing. Thankful for the help with pain relief though.

Fantastic experience: I have been going there for 50 years and have seen staff come and go but all have been great even after Dr. Sheldon retired. I absolutely adore the front desk staff. It’s like going to Cheers! Bonus I still have my own teeth!

Negative experience: Update....its now been a couple of years and the tooth Dr. S would not fix is still going strong. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR. This is is a revision of an earlier review. As a cash customer without dental insurance Dr. S must have also thought I didn't have a clue. I've had a lot of dental work and make every attempt to keep current on cleanings and such so I have a good understanding of how things work when it comes to my care. When Dr. S... said there was nothing to do but pull the tooth something told me this was not true (AND GIVEN HE NEVER SHOWED ME THE XRAY IN THREE VISITS! Any other dentist I've seen always showed me the xrays as they explained what's needed.) Upon going to another dentist for cleaning and exam I was shown the xray and told there was plenty of good tooth remaining to place a crown on. It's been a while,all is well without losing the tooth and paying more than double the expense for bridge placement.

Fantastic experience: I was late to the appointment, but still served very graciously by the staff and Dr. Palmer. This previous review was given after my last visit in November 2021. This review is for my visit on 31 May 2022. I had just registered at the desk when Carmen came to get me to start my processing. I did not see ven sit down. She was very informative and calm about everything including my gagging during the x-raying of my teeth. The examination was thorough and also went very smoothly. Dr. Revuru's manner was also quite pleasant and calming. Thank you all for you graciousness and care. Leah was also very helpful when I checked in and out. My visit for a cleaning yesterday, September 12, 2023, again, was a very smooth and calm process. Martha has a very easy going manner and attitude as she deals with her patients. I briefly spoke with Dr. Revuru about the upcoming crown work in October. At the front desk, Donna was efficient and personable with me as we set up the new appointments. She answered my questions easily and with ease.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a cleaning. I thought I had one of my crowns coming loose. After my cleaning, the dentist came in for a look around on my teeth. I asked if one of my crowns were loose as it felt like it was loose . She looked and said it was loose. She popped it off and had me in another chair in the office so she could attach the crown again. The old crown was on for 20 years so you could say that I am good for another 20 years. It was great that I didn’t have to come back in another day for the extra work. Best dentist in Omaha.

When I check out, it's quick and easy and everyone is super excited to see me and make sure I'm being taken care of.

Positive experience: Been going here nearly 20 years. The hygienists are always great. If not for them I’d have switched years ago. The dentists churn a lot, but it’s been better the last few years. Lately the front desk staff are unpleasant. Particularly at checkout. It’s such an inconvenience for them when the hygienist brings me up front for checkout. It’s all over their faces how frustrated they are.

Negative experience: This office is always a mess. Reception staff never seem to know what’s going on. Most communication between patient and staff is through text message which feels very unprofessional and scammy (Ex: I was asked to send pictures of my insurance card via text message to a non business affiliated number). The dental work I had done at Horizon was not done correctly and resulted in multiple inconvenient trips in and out of the practice which signifies to me that the quality of dental professionals here is lacking. At my first appointment, I was told by the reception staff that they had documented my insurance information but was contacted some time after the appointment by said staff stating that they did not have my insurance info on file. This resulted in issues having my dental bills submitted to insurance. This practice is also not transparent about their billing and was found to add extra fees onto bills without notification. I would not say that the dental staff is overly friendly or personable and appointments with them often felt like I was being rushed in and rushed out. I ended my patient relationship with this practice a little over a year, maybe a year and a half ago, and will continue to never recommend that anyone waste their time getting treatment here.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Horizon Dental Center for many years. I have always felt that they took my Dental concerns seriously. I would very happily recommend this Dental office.

Negative experience: Dental insurance isn't worth it by going here. I paid over $4000 for drilling and filling, waited 6 months for a teeth cleaning, that I paid over $200 for up front and got billed for another $200+ after the fact.

Fantastic experience: The people are very kind, genuine and helpful. The dentist did a great job at fixing the problem I had with my teeth in one day. I would recommend horizon dental to anyone who has teeth problems a great place to take care of them.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE 2024: the ladies up front have been absolutely amazing the last few years. Dr Sheldon retired, but my new dentist, Dr. Lowe (might be spelled wrong, sorry), is great, although a bit brief like most are when they come by at the end. I still love my hygienist and she's the main reason I stay to this day. I am a creature of habit and haven't left because I've been going here for a very long time. I really like my dental hygienist and Dr. Sheldon is good, too. For a long time there was really rude lady at the front who took payments, phone calls, etc. and she was almost the reason my wife and I switched. I say 4 stars for that reason, the fact they stopped doing even limited Saturday appointments or extended hours, AND because I am constantly getting confirmation texts and phone calls. Right now, I get it with all the new restrictions, but I frequently texted a few times to confirm, followed by a phone call a week before and then a day beforehand making me feel like I'll lose my appointment if I don't keep confirming. Place is clean and most appointments go without hitch. I cant say if prices are high or low because I'm not that informed. My hygienist is probably the only reason this is a 4 star and not a 3 star or lower.

Negative experience: I come in for my 6 month cleaning and am immediately asked why I had not done the "deep cleaning" the Dentist suggested on my last visit. Let me back up a bit when I was in 6 months ago it was suggested if my insurance covered it. My insurance does. So this begs the question why is it needed if your insurance covers it but not needed if your insurance doesn't cover it? Sounds elective to me. To further illustrate, if I have a blocked artery in my heart I need to get that fixed whether my insurance covers it or not. Using that same approach if I NEEDED the deep cleaning it would be regardless of insurance coverage. I told the hygienist that I wasn't going to have it. She asked me to sign a form. Documenting I chose not to have it. The teeth cleaning is completed, the dentist come to cdo her part of the exam and she immediately begins to harp at me about "needing" the deep cleaning. This is not concern about my dental health, this is concern about her pay check. Dentists and doctors get paid based on the intensity of the service. A "deep cleaning" is more intensive than a regular cleaning. There are risks associated with deep cleanings. They are painful. I know because I let someone talk me in to it. If you are sensitive to pain you really need anesthesia. Dental insurance doesn't Cover the anesthesia. So back to my visit. After I signed a form saying I declined this procedure I did not appreciate the dentist bullying me to have it done. I advised the hygienist that when I come back in 6 months I don't want to hear a word about deep cleaning or it will be the last time I see them. In my opinion it is unprofessional for a dentist to try to upsell a patient.

Fantastic experience: First time going to the dentist in many years. As someone who is/was very nervous, Martha was tender and caring and made my experience very comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for a more positive visit. Dr. Revuru was also very kind and made me feel comfortable and welcome. I left feeling informed and optimistic about my future dental health and appointments.

Positive experience: Very friendly staff. I had my teeth whitened with the “Zoom whitening” method. Great results so far! My hygienist was very helpful and attentive during my visit. Scheduling follow up appointments was a little difficult, I’d appreciate more flexibility.

Fantastic experience: I get really bad anxiety when I go tonite dentist, but at Horizon they made me feel very at ease and very comfortable. The experience was wonderful and they took great care of me!

Negative experience: I know some great dental assistants that have worked at this dental office; and unfortunately they no longer are there. Working in an environment that does not work well with all ethnicities is sad and disgraceful. The front desk staff is very unwelcoming and very lack luster. It seems that they only want Caucasians employed there. Dr Reveru is very rude, she has no personality whatsoever when working with her patients. She leaves them waiting for 20+ minutes while doing who knows what. I’ve witnessed her slamming instrumens into the hand of her DA. The DA was very welcomin, I’m not sure how she has lasted this long. I will not be back until her name is off the front door. The way minorities are treated there (Latinos, African American, Mexicans) is a warrant for a lawsuit. Based on they are not an EOE

Fantastic experience: In all my years I have never seen or received such a wonderful experience going to the dentist. I have had some extensive dental work done, and my Doctor could not possibly be better. She talks to you and reassures you and is extremly kind and professional. From the moment you walk in the door until you are walking out you are treated like family and I love it...each and every person there.

Fantastic experience: Over the weekend my tooth broke and they were able to get me in Monday morning. Dr. Revuru is always so kind and gentle. Always concerned with my well being during procedures. She was able to save my tooth which was a blessing. I'm so grateful.

Negative experience: Came here because I needed a speedy appointment for an extraction. Service was ok but billing horrible. I had 2 appointments promptly paid copays each time then months later I get a bill showing that my insurance company wouldn't pay them. I had an xrays for an extraction and my annual cleaning but for some reason the was a billing issue - and my insurance company did not want to pay them. (this is same insurance I've had from my job of 8 years without ever having a problem) no explanation or apologies offered by Horizon, and minimal communication except to say I owe them. I will pay but since I don't like surprises like this, I won't be returning.

Fantastic experience: Just like millions of other people I have dental anxiety and it kept me away from the dentist for awhile. The staff here was SO sweet and understanding. The guy who helped me before my doctor came to see me told me “you’re in charge of this. we go at your pace” The doctor was very informative and sympathetic. The front desk ladies were also very sweet. I 100% recommend Horizon dental!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to Horizon since 2003, which I guess was 20 years ago now (wow I feel so old!). They’ve seen me at my best and my worst (tooth-wise) and they have always taken great care of me. Everybody is friendly and explains everything that is happening. They appear to keep up with the latest technology in dentistry. There’s always some new tool they incorporate into their processes, which is really cool. I’ve been very happy with Horizon and will continue to go there for the next 20 years. Then I’ll really be old.

Negative experience: Saw an ad on Facebook for a consultation for dentures, set up an appt. Messaged person online asking if there was a fee, no fee. Went in, filled paperwork. Got to the back, everyone asking what I was there for, shouldn’t the paperwork and the appt for a consultation told them why I was there. Dentist asking if I wanted X-rays, again asking what they do for a consultation, and she said she would do X-rays. Next thing I know, they are saying I need to pay $100! Yes I was upset and frustrated, no where did it say anything about a payment. Now $100 is not that much, but I would have liked to have known before, and there was nothing said about payment. Receptionist said they could work things out for me, I’m sure thinking a payment plan, but never did she apologize for their miscommunication. She wanted to see the Facebook ad, which I showed, not stating any money, and then said nothing!! Was a very very bad experience, I felt like No One was polite, except the woman who took me back to the chair, very nice girl!! I feel like the office had no patients in the office, thinking it’s due to them scamming and being rude!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience all around - every staff member is a joy to engage with and Dr. Lo is a kind, patient, skilled practitioner. Facility and processes are clean and bright and incredibly efficient. I will definitely be back for my dental needs.

They could not have been more accommodating, friendly, and professional. Fantastic experience: I have to thank the whole staff at Horizon dental! They have been fabulous to work with from beginning to end of an extensive process to get my 4 front teeth crowned. I was sick as a child and they never grew in right and at 47 years old I’m finally not ashamed to smile. Fantastic experience: Staff is very friendly and I love my hygienist and Dr. Sheldon. They are always on time with getting me in for my scheduled appointment. I also appreciate the reminder process they have set up.

Fantastic experience: I had such a good experience here! Loved the staff loved the dentist and the dental assistant!! It just so happened the dentist was able to do my fillings right after my initial appointment and he was just so kind and gentle. I’ve been going to the same dentist my entire life but since I moved out of state I needed to find a new place. If you have high anxiety with getting work done on your teeth, I suggest you give this place a try!

Fantastic experience: Your new dental hygienist is great. She did a through job and her knowledge, advice, and professional, kind demeanor excellent. I will ask for her next time! The Dr also was very pleasant when reviewing the X-rays and teeth. Highly recommend.
