Fantastic experience: I had a filling done and the dentist was so compassionate and friendly. He went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and felt no anxiety during the procedure.

Positive experience: Been better lately at call backs and being able to get through to office. Does not take care credit. Affordable practice though and the dentists are very good .

Fantastic experience: I have an extreme fear of the dentist and needed one quickly due to severe pain. The office got me in right away and I saw Dr Kevin. I was crying and anxious. He was SO kind & compassionate. He took the time to sit and talk with me about my fears and what was going on with my mouth. He gave me his opinion on how he felt we should proceed. He then numbed my mouth to help ease my pain and I felt nothing! I'll definitely be back and Dr Kevin is my new dentist. I've never felt so comfortable & put to ease like I did by Dr Kevin. He is truly not just a great dentist but an amazing human!

Fantastic experience: In O'fallon for the summer visiting our son and family and had some dental issues. Our kids use Dr Mike so I called and Glenda was nice enough to set me up with an appt with Dr Mike. In and out in 30 minutes. Great service and better people at this dental office. Would highly recommend,

Negative experience: They are very behind on charging insurance so please be mindful. I got a charge a year later and because my dental Insurance changed by that point, I was stuck with the bill.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kevin is awesome, he is very kind and is great with the little ones!!

Negative experience: Schedule an appointment as a new patient. Scheduled an appoint for severe right back side of my mouth hurting. I had to call 6 TIMES to double check my appointment and make sure they are able to fix whats wrong. When I finally got ahold of someone they said it was just for an exam and the doctor only had 40 mins to see me for my uneven bite + cracked tooth build.. What a waste of time.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Howenstein Dental highly enough. Particularly Dr Kevin. Truly. He’s just the GOAT. His staff is great, they get you in quick, their fees are affordable with or without insurance, they accept Care Credit, and he’s just excellent at what he does. I got FOUR needles today in my palatte and gums, and a molar pulled, and I never even felt the first needle. Was literally in and out of the chair in under an hour, and we talked about my method of making brussels sprouts and his Dad-Daughter Valentine Dance. He manages to be warm and personable while also highly efficient. That’s a tall order. Highly recommend. Five stars.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for close to if not over a decade. Recently, a hygienist was sick and they had to cancel my appointment, offered to reschedule and had me back in pretty quickly, then I unfortunately had something come up for my friday appointment, they were able to get me in Saturday morning. My hygienist sierra was thr most gentle and super personable. I was able to pick up some whitening solution and they had me cleaned up and ready to roll in under an hour. I love this place

Fantastic experience: It was our first time in to this dental office and my first thought was wow this place looks small, as i entered i was blown away by the christmas decor! I checked in which was quick and easy, and took a seat to fill out first patient info. My son was the patient, he is 4 years old and he loved everything about it. Our hygenist was Hannah and she came out to greet us and took us back, she was super friendly and made my son feel right at home! Our Dentist Micheal was friendly and made sure all my questions were answered. Thank you so much for our great first impression! Its was a nice cozy and very clean office, i highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr.Kevin Howensteins' office by our daughter. I'm so glad she shared this with me. I've been to the office twice now and have had excellent care. Dr. Kevin is so friendly, and explained everything he was doing during my treatment. I'm very happy I was accepted as a new patient. The staff was very polite and helpful as well.

Fantastic experience: My 20 Dec 2024 appt for a teeth cleaning at Howenstein Dental is something I have experienced every six months since 1985. The dental hygienists there are excellent and always manage to make my teeth cleaning pleasant. Dr Larry (who is now retired), his son Dr Mike, and their team of assistants have always provided me with outstanding dental care. I advise anyone in the Metro East looking for a dentist to consider Howenstein Dental!

Fantastic experience: It’s rare to find an establishment that provides all-around competent service in any kind of business nowadays. Our family tried a few dental offices before landing with Howenstein after a recommendation from a friend. We’ve been here for several years now. The staff is friendly and responsive. The work done is competent. And the billing isn’t a nightmare. How do I know they are good? My son had to reschedule his appointment. The current schedule was eight months out. They can probably work you in somewhere, but if you have to, it’s worth the wait.

Fantastic experience: I went to Howenstein dental for teeth cleaning. My teeth are sensitive and can’t handle the water Although I expect using the tools and cleaning my teeth by hand, was a more difficult and time-consuming situation, The woman, cleaning my teeth, not only didn’t complain, but she was very friendly and helped me to relax. She explained what she was doing as she cleaned my teeth, which also helped me to relax. The experience was The best I ever had getting my teeth cleaned. I’m so glad Howenstein dental employed Mary Ann.

Fantastic experience: Howenstein Dental is the best. I went to Larry for years and since his retirement have seen Mike. Very knowledgeable and professional but still have the ability to put a nervous person (me) at ease. The office is modern and so clean right down to the restroom. As an added bonus Larry happened to be there while I was there and it was so nice to see him.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr Kevin Howenstein when I broke a tooth after my dentist had recently retired. Even though I was a new patient they got me in quickly. Dr Kevin thoroughly explained the options for repairing the tooth and was able to take care of it the same day. The repair was painless, Dr Kevin did a wonderful job and he was a delight. His entire staff was very pleasant and efficient. I’ve definitely found my new dentist. August 14th - returned to office for cleaning, x-rays, etc. Such a positive experience from the minute I walked in the door. Vanessa was my hygienist. She was very friendly, pleasant, efficient and gentle - totally pain free. I made my next cleaning appt and convinced my husband to try Dr Kevin as well. Returned for my 6 month cleaning. Everyone on staff was friendly and totally efficient. Enjoyed spending time with Vanessa - who says that about having your teeth cleaned? :-) Thank you Dr Kevin and staff for making a trip to the dentist such a pleasant one. June 12- once again had a problem with a tooth. They got me in very quickly and took care of the issue same day. Dr Kevin and the entire staff are skilled, caring & friendly. Oct 31 - At my cleaning appt Dr Kevin discovered I needed a filling repaired. Was able to get an appt the next week. Dr Kevin took care of it quickly with no pain. He is the best and has a friendly, efficient staff.

Positive experience: I had to switch dentists because appointments are so far out that they become pointless. I could have a chipped tooth and need to make an appointment within the week or two would be nice but they're giving me dates that are 3 months away. I guess I'm happy that you have a lot of business but not to my detriment

Fantastic experience: Everyone was professional as well as extremely nice! I wish I would have found them years ago. Also you do not get a sales pitch trying to squeeze all you have out of you. They have prices straight forward, no sales pitch!! Also privately owned so you’re not paying corporate prices. My dentist is top notch!! I wish had Kevin Howenstein years ago as my dentist!

Fantastic experience: Dr Kevin is awesome. I just had an old filling come out and there wasn't much tooth left to work with but he repaired it with ease and confidence. He gave me a couple options that we discussed and he got me in and out in no time, and with no discomfort. He is always great at explaining everything throughout the process and makes sure I'm comfortable and even asks if I need a break. The entire staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. Great place. They have helped me through a horrible experience with Aspen Dental. They gave me a terrible infection, caused me the loss of 4 teeth and in need of a new partial. Fantastic experience: I don't trust many dentist due to my past experience, but I walked in VERY SCARED and IN PAIN. I had a upper teeth extracted and when I tell you DR. KEVIN and his assistant DANITTA was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING from the time I sat in the chair until my procedure was over AMAZING 10 out of 10 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Negative experience: I have been using this dentist for years and up until this visit, I have been satisfied with them. I recieved multiple texts about the time for this appointment and confirmed it when we checked in. We live 3 hours away and we schedule our appointments together for me and my wife. She was called back quickly and I continued to sit while the waiting room emptied out. I went to the window to inquire and then I was told they were short on hygienist. Why wasn't I told this earlier via text or especially when we checked in? Very poor coordination and schedule management. I cancelled this appointment and said I probably won't come back. I'll be looking for a dentist closer to where we live so we're not on the road for 6 hours to get our teeth cleaned. They failed me for this appointment.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kevin. My 11 year old was very scared upon arriving for her first visit a few weeks ago. Dr. Kevin quickly put her mind at ease and by her third visit today, she was looking forward to going to the dentist! If that isn't a great testimony, I don't know what is! Dr. Kevin is phenomenal at what he does and my only complaint is that we didn't find him sooner!

We tried a new practice (after a former office said they no longer accepted our dental insurance after 20 years) and it recommended extensive unnecessary work. We sought out another opinion with Howensteins. Dr. Howenstein was able to correct such disinformation and only did the necessary work. He and his staff are very professional and friendly. Fantastic experience: Best experience I've had at a dental office in my entire 34 years. They were able to get me in quickly after I just moved here from a different state. I had a loose filling due to a cavity forming underneath and it was preventing me from flossing. Dr. Kevin was super nice and talked to me throughout the entire procedure. I felt like my comfort and needs were a priority while I was in the office, from the front desk to the dental assistant. Very reasonable price but I admit I do have good insurance. I’ll recommend this office to anyone who were to ask. 10/10! Thanks again for the job well done!

Fantastic experience: I fell face first onto my hardwood floors on a Tuesday night and broke part of my tooth off and split my lip. A family member referred me to Howenstein so I gave them a call the next morning and they were able to see me that day at 1pm, do x-rays, and fix my tooth all in the same day. I have a lot of anxiousness around dentistry but I felt super comfortable there and I was in and out so fast. I highly recommend Howenstein! I'll be going here from now on!
