Positive experience: Everything about this place is great. However the fact of the matter is, I went in and all my teeth felt fine. Then I went in for fillings on xmas eve 2024 and one of my teeth has been too sensitive for any slight crunch in food since. I went back around 5 times to fix it and they never did fix it. I miss not being hurt while eating.

Fantastic experience: Today's visit was a success! I knew I had to go in for a cleaning but also knew that I had a crown in my future. Fortunately I was able to do everything in one visit. Katherine did all the precursor work for my crown and did it efficiently and quickly. She was both friendly and skilled which I was very impressed with. As for my teeth cleaning, I had a wonderful hygienist named Anna. Generally, I don't like to sit in the chair due to extreme spine issues. She made sure that it was always comfortable and did an excellent job! Anna's also quite skilled, professional and possesses a million dollar smile. Today was my first visit with Dr. Dickinson. Again, he was quite proficient, knowledgeable and personable which is a rarity these days. If you're looking for a new dentist/practice I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the dentist as well as the practice. I don't often give out five stars so I'm quite confident in recommending Carolina's Dentist.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I usually come for our checkups together. Our expectations every time we come have always been fulfilled. My hygienist Alanna, was wonderful. She said my teeth looked great today. I didn’t say it, but I should have said it was good to hear, but years ago, I didn’t have many of those reports. I think Dr. Sanchez saw me today, but I couldn’t really tell if it was her or not with her mask. I originally thought she was another dentist I had seen before, but I see on the website she is no longer there. She was so helpful today about one particular issue I have, and she assured me everything looks good at this time. Going to the dentist is not our idea of a lot of fun, but the staff at the Carolinas Dentist at Porter’s Neck are wonderful, and they do everything they can to make it the best experience you can have at a dentist office!

Fantastic experience: This was my second time coming to this dentist office. I have severe dental anxiety and trypanophobia, so finding a dentist who understands these things is a must for me. Dr Woods and his team went above and beyond to make sure I was as comfortable as possible and talked me through every step of the way. They made sure to keep my phobia and anxiety in mind during treatments and went above and beyond my expectations. Don’t get me wrong, I was still anxious being there but they helped me through it as much as anyone possibly could. I really appreciate that about them!

My dental assistant Madison was wonderful & couldn't have done anything else to make me feel relaxed, she made a very stressful situation as good as it could be. Dr Lundgren is very calm & sensitive to her patients needs & offered encouragement through the whole procedure.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t give this place enough stars. I am terrified of dentists. I have left two practices in wilmington due to horrific experiences. The moment you walk in, you feel welcomed, respected, and valued here. The front desk is WONDERFUL. The insurance/billing specialist took hours of her time to help ensure I knew the breakdown of each different route I had before I proceeded with the procedure of MY CHOICE, not pressured into doing something I didn’t want. The dentist and dental assistants all are gentle, kind, considerate, and make you feel more than comfortable. Even the way they talk with each other, you can see they all actually adore each other & are a little family. I couldn’t be more happy, or blessed to have found this place. I will forever recommend them!

Fantastic experience: They pulled my tooth and it didn’t hurt. Started my visit off with Taylor who made me feel relaxed and at home from the start. Great company especially in a stressful situation. The exam took 30 min and determined I needed a root canaled tooth pulled and that would hopefully relieve the pain I was experiencing. They got me back in that day for the extraction. Dang, convenient since I wouldn’t have to take another day off work. So back I came later afternoon- Having to get the tooth pulled was inevitable but Dr. Woods took care of me making sure I was ok the whole time. It took longer than expected because my tooth was as strong as I was I guess but Doc persevered through each chip and chisel. Finally after 2 long hours, HE DID IT, actually “shakeyhands” did (sorry I can’t remember the hygienist’s name but that was her nickname, unrelated to the job lol). Ah man was I thankful - especially since my next option was going to an oral surgeon, which who needs that hassle. Anyway, thanks guys! Ya’ll took care of me and I appreciate it! I’ll be sure to come by with some tasty Hotdogs soon enough!!

Fantastic experience: I have been to Carolina’s Dentist Porters Neck three times now and feel comfortable in saying it has been the single most pleasant dental experience I’ve ever had each time. Everyone from the reception staff to the dentist themselves acts like they know I could go somewhere else. The facility is designed with a patient’s comfort in mind and the dentists explain what they’re going to do, what they are doing, and what they have done, as you go while also ensuring your comfort. I was referred here by the VA, but would continue to utilize it with private insurance if necessary.

Negative experience: Drove an hour to be seen. Staffs and female doctor were polite. The inconfident male doctor also came and boast about how easy it would be to do a tooth extraction, just to step out then come back in after couple of minutes and said he wouldn't do it. Disappointed, pissed off, and unsatisfied.

Fantastic experience: I have seen Dr Claudia for botox. The main reason was to try and get my gingival smile to look better. It is high, when smiling I would show more gingiva than teeth. The results are amazing! My smile is beautiful now and looking super natural. I also had it done in more spots: My forehead is smooth, my eyebrows are beautifully lifted, my crow’s feet practically disappeared. Dr Claudia was so nice, explained everything to me. I did not feel any pain. She took her time to make me comfortable. Im going back for maintenance every 3 months. Extremely happy with Dr Claudia and her staff.

Ive had a root canal, crown, tooth extraction… you name it … ive had it done by Dr Claudia. ALL procedures went perfectly with minimal pain. And not only is Dr Claudia a great dentist shes also kind and compassionate. She is the best dentist i have ever been to. And the support staff are all wonderful too. Fantastic experience: Dr Claudia and her assistant Erin were amazing with my 4 year old son today for his 2nd dentist visit! Even when he had a little meltdown because he was scared, they took a step back and showed him all the tools and let him play with them to get used to it first. When he didn't want the toothpaste during his cleaning they pivoted and cleaned his teeth without it and still made him feel like he was so brave and did a great job! Thanks for creating such a family friendly office that we can all go to!
