Negative experience: In May 2024, I went here for a dental cleaning and check-up. Before my visit, I called to update my dental insurance card and repeatedly confirmed whether my new insurance would be accepted. They assured me it would, so I went ahead with the appointment. After the cleaning, I even scheduled a follow-up appointment for a filling. However, when I went in for the filling, they told me my insurance wasn't covered, so I didn't proceed. Later, I received a bill for the cleaning because they claimed my insurance didn't cover it. I'm really upset because I called multiple times before the cleaning to confirm my insurance coverage, only to be told after the procedure that it wasn't valid and that I had to pay out of pocket. I called them and asked them to check their phone records since all calls are recorded. We went back and forth multiple times, and they kept saying they were looking into it, but in the end, they still sent me the bill and even had a specialized debt collection agency contact me. I paid 190$ in order not to affect my credit score. This clinic is so irresponsible. The staff didn’t carefully verify whether my insurance was valid and then made the patient take the blame. Terrible service! Just a heads-up for everyone!

Fantastic experience: To sum things up I absolutely hate going to the dentist! However!!!! My experience here has really flipped things around. There has been a root canal in which I needed & I have put off for YEARS but I really had no choice to do it now because the pain was unbearable. Can you believe I walked in with pain and walked out with no pain?! Dr. Jae An and the Dental Nurse Geraldine were beyond welcoming, kind and professional. Explained everything thoroughly and asked me if there were any doubts or questions in mind. For me to leave a review for a dentist is a bit mind blowing to me but I have to spread the word! 5 Stars!!!! My phobia of Dentists has finally been put off away. Thanks Pearly Whites!

Fantastic experience: I need to leave this review for Tatiana ( hope I spelt that right). She saved my life!!! I had a crown fall out toward the front of my mouth, and I was very upset about it and was having my sons birthday party the next day with a lot of people and was feeling very self conscious… she took her time with me and made me a temporary and it looks Great and I feel so much better!!! She’s an absolute angel! Thank you again !!!

Negative experience: This is the worst dentist in town. They are rude. They feel like they are the owners. I am not very convinced of my treatment. It has been 3 years with my braces and I do not see results. I am frustrated. I hope to finish my treatment and never return. I NOOOOOTTTTT recommend them. Do not waste your money or your time in this clinic

Negative experience: I wish someone told me before driving a half hour to the office during my work hours that they would refuse to let me in because I had a small balance due to my debit card being stolen a few days before my appointment. As a loyal client who has already shelled out over $2k towards braces to them it seems a bit silly they couldn’t let me see the orthodontist and let me pay the $150 a few days later when I got my new card. I was also willing to give them my bank account info but they said no. At least properly communicate this strict policy to people before they come in.

Fantastic experience: Just visited an amazing dentist’s office! My dentist, Hygienist and Miss Stacy was incredibly helpful and made me feel super comfortable. She guided me smoothly through the entire process. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Carla at Pearly Whites is an incredible professional. She assisted both my daughter and me with our appointments and is always very knowledgeable in her field. When my daughter was upset, Carla was able to calm her down with kindness and patience. Additionally, the fact that she speaks Portuguese and Spanish is very comforting. I always make sure Carla is present at our office visits

Negative experience: Lucky they received one star They tell you you need sooooo much dental work...go see another dentist because we did that and was told no dental work or surgery to be done Also. They do not even work with people with anxiety

Fantastic experience: We started going to Pearly Whites several months ago and am so glad we did. We have Tod’s and love the pediatric area especially their little kids hangout room! As new patients we had a few complications with insurance and new forms, etc… Kevin has always assisted with such patience and kindness and shows much dedication in his role with everyone that comes in. Also spoke with Isolina whom also very informative and helpful during any of our visits. Will always recommend.

Negative experience: Terrible experience – never going back We waited over 3 hours at Pearly Whites in Whippany, NJ. The environment was chaotic and overwhelming - 10+ rooms, people rushing around, multiple children screaming - all of which added to my son’s anxiety. It felt more like a zoo than a pediatric dental office. After the long wait, we were finally called in, only to be told that they would do half of the procedure today and the rest tomorrow - supposedly to avoid “traumatizing” my son. But giving him pain relief injections twice and making him go through this process again the next day was clearly not a better solution. He was already traumatized after today. To make matters worse, when I explained that morning appointments don’t work because my son is in school and I work full-time, I was told, “We can give you a note.” That’s not a real solution. If I wanted morning-only appointments, I would choose a small private practice with a calm and professional atmosphere - not a place with late hours that expects us to miss school to make their schedule easier. We switched to Pearly Whites because our insurance changed, but we deeply miss Montville Pediatric Dentistry, which was outstanding in every way. This practice is poorly run, disorganized, and stressful for children and parents alike. They even forgot to cancel our next appointment reminders, which prompted me to finally leave this review. If I could give -10 stars, I would.

Fantastic experience: Pearly whites is the best place to take for your teeth , they are amazing with children as well as adults, The whole team from reception, to dental assistant, dental hygienist , and the dentist are amazing! So incredibly friendly, carla who worked with my dental hygienist , is amazing, she makes you feel very comfortable also gives you so much information on how to keep up with your care of your teeth at home she is so sweet ! Jennifer my hygienist was again incredibly friendly, she also makes you feel very comfortable! I highly highly recommend going to pearly whites! You will always leave smiling and wanting to come back !!! Thank you pearly whites for all you have done and continue to do for my son and I ! Excellent place
