Fantastic experience: I took my kids to the dentist yesterday and had such a great experience! Dr. Patrick and Mursal were amazing with my kids – so kind, patient, and professional. They did an excellent job and made my children feel comfortable the entire time. Molly and Ashley were also wonderful and very helpful throughout our visit. I highly recommend this office to any parent looking for quality dental care for their children!

Fantastic experience: I needed a new dental office due to a change of coverage on my insurance. So I found Philadelphia Dental on Google last year and had came here a couple of times. Each and every time when I come to this dental office, the front desk staffs (Maly & Ashley) are extremely friendly, down to earth and always greeted me with a smile. Kierstin (Management) was also very friendly. My most recent dental visit was for a regular x-ray, check-up and cleaning and Dr. Guevara did a very thorough & good job with the cleaning of my teeth. He was very gentle with the entire procedure and explained along the way what he was doing to keep me in the loop. The facility is very clean, spacious and modern! All in all, I would highly recommend Philadelphia Dental for anyone seeking dental services. Thank you for making it an enjoyable experience!

Negative experience: Honestly, I feel the dentist could have taken just a few minutes to explain the next steps regarding my tooth. I came in specifically hoping to speak with him, and even mentioned this to the front desk prior (who were very kind and helpful). While I understand he doesn’t perform extractions, my only request was to go over his findings before being referred to another dentist who would. Instead, I left feeling dismissed. I even asked if a phone call would be possible, but an in-person appointment was scheduled. After taking the time to come into the office, I was simply handed a piece of paper and a referral, and informed in the waiting area with other patients that my tooth needed to be extracted. The dentist did not speak to me and sent his assistant. I feel this should have been discussed with me in a private room, as it is a personal matter. Going to the dentist is already nerve-wracking and anxiety-provoking for me, and to feel brushed aside only made it worse. I left disappointed, questioning the point of having scheduled the appointment at all. Anyways I did not go to their referred doctors and decided to get a second opinion and I’m glad I did. I went City Dental Arts, where all the staff were amazing , thorough and compassionate and valued me as a customer! They TOOK THE TIME TO SPEAK WITH ME ABOUT OPTIONS AND NEXT STEPS!!!

Negative experience: They took more than 2 hours to see me my appointment was at 1pm they didn’t see me until 3 o’clock, waste of time

Let me tell you, there is never any reason for me to switch. Malley and Ashley run that desk like Champs! I just had the best teeth cleaning ever! They have a full staff of professionals! Fantastic experience: Best dentist I’ve even been to. I have been treated at this office for the last four years. They are so pleasant, respectful and gentle. Wait times are minimal. Wait area is clean and quiet and it’s easy to get to by car or sub.

Fantastic experience: I’ve only had two visits here so far but I’m definitely going to keep coming back. I was very impressed to see how many 5 star reviews they have and they definitely lived up to that standard here. My first appointment was an exam/x-rays and cleaning. I have a pretty extensive dental history and I also had quite a few bad experiences before finding this office. Dr. Lyle patiently listened to all of it, let me explain everything I knew about my teeth, even when I interrupted her during the cleaning every time I remembered something else. She also knew about my connective tissue disorder (ehlers danlos syndrome) and how it could affect my dental treatment and she made sure to be accommodating of that and to be extra gentle on my gums. I’ve never met another dentist who 1, knew about my condition, and 2, made sure to adjust their treatment accordingly. She helped inform me and educate me when I asked questions about information my previous dentist had given me that I wasn’t sure was accurate. She was so kind and patient, very comforting and easy to talk to. She never made me feel dumb for asking a question or spoke to me as if I should already know something. The girl who took my X rays and assisted Dr. Lyle was equally as friendly and pleasant to work with. (I missed her name but I’ll find out and update this when I can). My second visit, for a small filling and to remove my Invisalign buttons, was just as great. I was ANXIOUS about the needle for the numbing for the filling. Dr. Lyle and Kendra were so patient and caring, and Kendra even held my hand and talked to me while I cried during the numbing process. It didn’t even hurt that bad! I had just stressed myself out about it so much. They didn’t make me feel silly for being scared and they went at my pace and consistently checked if I was ok or needed a break. To be honest some of the tears were because I felt so taken care of, unlike my past experiences with other dentists. My filling is on the front of my teeth and it looks perfect. You can’t even tell in the slightest. Kendra was very attentive to detail when removing the buttons and making sure nothing was leftover on my teeth. No rushing or anything. Just good work ☺️ The staff at check in (I’m sorry I don’t have their names) have been friendly and helpful each time. They printed a list of the costs for all the procedures and their cost based on my insurance, and highlighted and circled the codes so I could plan for exactly how much my next visit would cost. I’ve had to push and dig for that information before and here they just help you… without having to be forced. It’s incredible. Thank you to all of you, I’m so happy I found this office and you’re actively undoing years worth of bad experiences. ❤️

Negative experience: This place is all about money they told me I needed 7 dental crowns which are 1, 000 dollars a piece in which I knew didn't sound right after going to another dentist I discovered I only needed a filling and no crowns at all . They recommended expensive dental work i didn't need . I would not recommend them i find them to be very dishonest and all about making money .

All my dental procedures have been done in a timely manner and have exceeded my expectations. Negative experience: I arrived 10 mins early for my appt. They took someone who come in after me, and after my appt time. Then a staff member came into the waiting room and was surprised I was in there. I pointed out I seemed to have been forgotten but her argument was those patients were seeing other drs. Two more people came in, 20 minutes after my appt. time. Both of them were taken. When I said I was leaving, I was taken to the back, only be left sitting back there for another half hour. I have no idea how much longer it would have been, as I left. I find it insulting that drs consider our time to have no value. The biggest mistake patients made was ever tolerating overbooking so we can be left waiting while they maximize income. It’s a shame because I liked the practice. But they did this to my daughter about 6 months ago so I know it will happen again if I let it. So I will be looking for a new place.

I remember the first time i was here and it was Dr Guerra who use to do my regular cleaning. she was one of the best dentist. now i see Dr Guevara for my regular cleaning and he is just as good. Maly has been helping me make my regular 6 months appointment for as long as i can remember. she always remembers my name and it makes me feel welcome.

I’m Cambodian and a lot of times I feel unwelcomed in public spaces, however Maly and Ashly was so nice to me and my mother. Fantastic experience: Historically the dentist hasn’t been a pleasant experience for me. Philadelphia Dental on Broad st in South Philly was excellent to me. I had to get a ton of work done and they had to be there often. Ashely their receptionist worked with me as far as my work schedule and made it so I had no issues getting my appointments. If not for her, I would not have been able to get seen, nor have a smile today. Dr Patrick, Mursal and Maly really came together as a team and changed my life. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I needed extensive periodontal cleaning and Dr. Zad and his assistant Kierstin were wonderful. Everyone in the office was courteous and pleasant. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a good, thorough dentist.

Negative experience: Went in last week for a cleaning and to go over wanting to get my last two wisdom teeth removed (top right and bottom left) other two were done by another dentist. Came back on Sunday to have a consultation to get them removed. I have keystone first insurance so I know they cover extractions. They sat me down and went over taking them out that day and I said sure which is what I figured anyways. I asked for something to calm me since I have major dental anxiety. My last dentist had no problem giving me laughing gas when removing my other wisdom teeth, two separate times at that. He seemed hesitate for a second and said he could give me the nitrous oxide but it would be simple and could always do the other at another time so I definitely felt a bit dismissed and he then walked out to talk about me wanting it to someone else. This other doctor came back to go over what he said again and told me keystone would cover the extractions but not the bone graft which is 900$ per tooth! I followed up asking why I would need a bone graft when the other two removals never needed one, she then responded saying because wisdom removals affect your sinuses on the top. I, again asked ok but the left top wisdom tooth that was removed years ago didn’t need one and she said oh the right side is more complex. Seems like bs to me and also doesn’t explain why the bottom wisdom tooth would need it as well? Also seems like they want to be able to get money from the insurance plus me. I will gladly go somewhere else that will simply take them out like the last dentist did in Jersey. Will never be going back :) PS: keystone also covers bone grafts if they are deemed medically necessary, which I’m sure they would have found some reason to not want to fill the forms because it is in fact not necessary. My wisdom teeth are not impacted or complicated extractions whatsoever.
