Fantastic experience: Amazing staff , i was really nervous about a procedure the staff did a great job making me comfortable and keeping me informed on what they were doing.

Fantastic experience: So far so good! Wonderful staff at desk, very clear and up front billing - no surprises, not trying to upsell a bunch of unnecessary items like my previous dental office. Very professional and to the point! I’m not an enjoyable patient because I’m a giant sissy, but they took great care of me and my teeth.

Fantastic experience: Switched to this dentist after my former dentist dropped contract with Delta Dental. Was apprehensive after being with someone for so long, but I have to tell you, Kalamazoo Smiles was an outstanding experience! The people, the service, was extraordinary! 5-star rating as far as I'm concerned! I have no qualms making a referral to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: I have visited several dentists in the Kalamazoo/Portage area, and Kalamazoo Smiles stands out as the best.

Positive experience: Extremely friendly place. I was getting some cavities fixed and through some discomfort, the dental assistant was so understanding and comforting with her words and kindness. The place could use new equipment. New chairs, fresh paint, etc. But the people there are 10/10.

Fantastic experience: Was very nervous due to a long-standing tooth abscess that required a root canal. They made sure I was as comfortable as possible, and were very patient and gentle. I had no pain thanks to their care. Any time I raised my hand for suction or to pause, they listened. Dr. Bandos is extremely professional, kind, and knows what she is doing.Terra the hygienist (and others) was beyond caring. Grateful!

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a dentist, I highly recommend Kalamazoo Smiles! My daughter was having tooth pain and when I called to see if they had any appointments available they were able to fit her in that day! Everyone is so nice and they made sure my daughter was comfortable and explained to her what they were going to do and were also patient with her until she calmed down and was comfortable. All of the staff that I have met or have cleaned mine and my families teeth have been so nice, professional and welcoming. Kalamazoo smiled they really take care of you and are very efficient at what they do.

Fantastic experience: I am new to Kalamazoo Smiles but they have been amazing since the first contact via phone. They answered my questions, were understanding of my concerns and situation, and everyone is friendly. They take the time to explain programs, pricing, and the reasoning as to why they do what they do. The prices are all lot more reasonable than my last dentist as well.

They were recommended to me by family members. The staff was friendly and kind. Scheduling was easy. The estimate I received for cost was clear.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has had terrible experiences at multiple dentist offices, Kalamazoo Smiles provides nothing but patience and kindness. There are no surprise costs or surprise treatments. Please use Kalamazoo Smiles, especially if you're fearful of the dentist. Terra, the hygienist, listened to every concern I had and promptly was able to dull them. She is by far one of the warmest and most understanding people I have ever met in the profession.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Katie and her staff have been so great to work with! They took great care of my daughter and got her root canal done quickly when needed. Our initial experience convinced our entire family to become patients.

Fantastic experience: The facility is very clean, the staff are so nice! I was able to get 3 appointments done in one week, cleaning, fill and X-rays/intial. They have laughing gas if you have issues with work being done and their toothbrushes are excellent. They are not focused on the money they are focused on quality care

Fantastic experience: Dr. Katie is extremely thorough with a very compassionate and relaxing vibe. Balancing these alongside the highly clinical part is a marvel to me yet she makes it look effortless. Everyone is sincerely welcoming. While it’s a busy office, staff work together so efficiently that I was aware of zero stress or strain. At first glance it feels like the most person-centered workplace I’ve ever seen, patient-centered above all. I spent most of my first visit with the remarkable Terra who couldn’t have been more gracious and personable. From answering my insurance questions to my comfort in the chair she was keenly dialed-in...like a super engaging therapist in dental scrubs. My entire visit I felt completely at ease and confident in their care. Edit Have now had a second visit and it reinforces the first. Kris and Norma are delights at the front with the most engaging smiles and manner that I found myself smiling too. Andi (sp?) was my hygienist with a sense of humor and wit that any lingering dental anxiety will die for. Very highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I had such a wonderful experience at Kalamazoo Smiles! Terra, the hygienist (or hygienist assistant), was amazing, she had the best attitude, was so kind, and answered all of my questions. She explained everything thoroughly and made me feel completely comfortable. I’ve been going to my previous dentist for 16 years, and I was nervous about switching to a new office, but the team here made me feel so welcome. They even did things for me that I had never experienced at my old dentist, which really showed how professional and thorough they are. Dr. Bandos was also lovely to meet and took the time to explain everything to me, which I truly appreciate. Overall, I’m so grateful for how welcoming, professional, and kind everyone was.

Fantastic experience: The staff and Dr. Bandos were wonderful with my almost two year old. They made her first experience welcoming and fun. She got to walk through the halls and put a smile on everyone’s face. As the parent they provided great tips for teeth brushing with little ones and goals for paci weaning. Fantastic experience: Everyone at Kalamazoo Smiles is very friendly. I needed alot of dental work done. They called me in months before my appointment and got me in on a cancelation. I sat in the chair for 2 1/2 hours, and man was it worth it. I also cracked a tooth that they took care of on the same visit. Wow, my teeth looked beautiful! I cried upon seeing them. I also had a partial that didn't fit correctly, and I bet with 30 seconds doc had it fixed. I hadn't worn them in years because they didn't fit. Well, I'm wearing them now. Proudly too. Thank you to all staff members for being so nice. It makes going to the dentist alot better.

Positive experience: Had a crown put in and it was fast and convenient service! The crown was made and ready within 45 minutes.

Fantastic experience: I recently became a new patient at Kalamazoo Smiles because they took my insurance. My first appointment for my initial dental review started off late. The team was very attentive and apologetic as circumstances were beyond their control. Everyone was so kind and did everything they could to make things right. It was a great vibe in the office and they all worked so well together to make myself and others feel comfortable as I could hear them talking and chatting. The next appointment I had for my actual cleaning was super quick and my hygienist was so gentle and friendly. I highly recommend their office I felt like a real patient that they cared about, and not just a number that I was being pushed in and pushed out for the money as I felt in other offices. The doctor I saw it was very caring and took time to explain some concern she had and why she felt that I needed an additional look. It’s the first time the dentist actually took time to explain the details and why it was important.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time seeing a civilian dental office since joining the Air Force 12 years ago. Since I’m not stationed at a base currently, I must see a civilian provider. I was nervous about finding a dentist and not having the convenience and quality of the Air Force dental office. Kalamazoo Smiles did amazing and felt like I was still on base. Very professional and they are very good about adjusting their schedule upon cancellations and offering openings to other patients.

Negative experience: Ultimately, I feel that the care I received from Dr. Bandos was subpar, and I am left dealing with the consequences of a crown treatment that was both painful and poorly managed. What’s more concerning is that the experience felt less like patient-centered care and more like a profit-driven interaction, which left me feeling taken advantage of during a vulnerable time. At one point, I was even asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement - something that raised further concerns for me about transparency and accountability. While I initially hoped to work through the issues with the office, the lack of resolution and accountability has led me to seek alternative care. I would caution others who are considering this practice.

Fantastic experience: I just had my first root canal and crown and it was such a great experience. Even though my root canal was “complicated” the doctor took her time, stayed calm, and did an amazing job. Every tech I’ve worked with has been SO SWEET along with the doctor. I’m 24 hours post procedure and I’ve experienced no pain at all, AND my tooth looks really pretty like It wasn’t hideous before but WOW that’s a pretty tooth (it blends in with the rest and everything, idk, it just looks nice. I would insert pics if that wasn’t weird but I feel like that’s weird hehe) Also obvi, the procedure didn’t hurt at all. I was chillin’

Fantastic experience: Great dentist. I would highly recommend. Just had the best "crown" experience ever. And to top it off it was two crowns and a root canal all at once. I've had crowns from other dentists and none ever compared to this. Long procedure and Doctor made sure I stayed numbed up. Beautiful fit on both crowns. Great margins between the teeth. No high spots. No pain after the procedures. Didn't even need aspirin. By the next day I was chewing on that side of my mouth again without any discomfort! Thanks for the great work!

Fantastic experience: Haven't been to a dentist in a little over a year, so I was little nervous on the state of my teeth. However, as they were being checked, everything came back good, but the best part was that the person that I was with made me feel more at ease as they were giving me positive, reinforcing comments while they were inspecting my teeth initially for cavities. I really appreciated that despite it being a small gesture.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit. Kalamazoo smiles, and it was a very good experience. They cleaned my teeth really well and was very polite and professional. I would recommend this place to anyone. Kids on up to elderly. They have a place for the kids to play thought that was great too.

Fantastic experience: I just had my first 2 cavities done and a scaling and root planing on my left side. I had the shots and I cried, I mean I cried lol. Dr. Bandos and her assistant bre were very patient with me and I felt awful that I cried so much, but again they made me feel at ease. I highly recommend Kalamazoo smiles and I’m gonna try and toughen up for my future visits. :) Update: second visit went great. No tears and dr bandos talked me right thru everything.

Fantastic experience: I love them !! They are so kind and friendly. They don't try to upsale you and really want to help you as a patient. They don't even bat an eye when you change you dental plan at the last minute. I really recommend them and give them 10 plus stars.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I went to Kalamazoo smiles to have a cleaning and two crowns replaced. Wonderful staff and very caring and always making sure that you are very comfortable and pain-free. This morning I had a phone call from Kalamazoo smiles asking how I was doing and if everything was okay. This is the first time a dentist office has ever done that. Also, Dr. Banos is wonderful and making you feel so relaxed when the procedure is being done. Also I call her the dentist with the golden voice because when she's working on you she's usually humming or singing softly and that puts me also at ease. I would recommend them to anybody. Also, they're are one of the few dentists in the area that is in network for Delta insurance.

Fantastic experience: I went to Dr. Goodman for decades and the business was sold a few years ago. Most of the staff is the same,, all polite and office is immaculately clean. The Dentist is new owner and she is very nice, thorough and asks good questions. I don' t like going to dentists yet this practice has been great!

Fantastic experience: Edit: added a star. The last couple of times I have been there have been perfect. They were patient with me even though my nerves and emotions were haywire. I appreciate all the staff for their support! They have amazing equipment and sedation options. Very kind staff (a huge plus)! An improvement would be a better understanding for what those with severe depression and anxiety need for a successful visit. I also would rather pay more to fix an issue the first time than to have to come back a week later to do the "better" fix and have to pay for both, including appointment costs. I will for sure keep coming back, though! The experience is much better than other dentists I have been to!

Fantastic experience: I never cared to go to the dentist, but I do enjoy going to Kalamazoo Smiles. They're polite and caring. I haven't had any harsh remarks from anyone. They haven't been aggressive with tools. The recommendations weren't pushed onto me. The staff inform you without asking. I have recommended them to friends of mine.

Note that it is a large, busy practice which (on the surface at least) makes it a bit more impersonal compared to the small dental practices I'm used to. Very professional, instills confidence in what they're doing. Overall highly recommended!
