Fantastic experience: Pleasant, professional and painless. ....but what about my score as a patient???

Negative experience: Unfortunately I was turned away yesterday after being 15 minutes late due to construction in the city rerouting me multiple times and somehow ending up at St. Joes. I have to get my kid on the bus and drop my baby to daycare in the morning and got there as fast as I could with the construction. The appointment has been in the system for 6 months as that is how long it took them to get me on the schedule. Now my hygienist Nilde is retiring and I will never get another appointment with her again. Going to find a new practice now, as this has been ridiculous. Sad since I've been a patient for many years now and really enjoy seeing Dr. Corso.

Fantastic experience: I had a great dentist in my old home. I moved to upstate NY and for two years struggled with a series of awful dentists who did far more damage than they corrected. Now I travel an hour to James St because they are the best. Kind. Professional. And the work is awesome. They complete the insurance for me athough they don’t accept my plan per se. That alone is a great service - many don’t. Taking care of your teeth is important and a first step if you live upstate is going to James St.

I always went to Biz for years and of course miss her! Sue would be my next go to hygienist! Dr French is tops and Dr Gallop is a gem. Great practice, highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Always professional, courteous and thorough - great staff and dentists. Dr French is great. They also try to work with you with scheduling which is great in that I am between 2 jobs daily. Lastly, we really like their dental wellness program as well.

Fantastic experience: This was my 1st amazing experience with a dentist in 51 years. Their whole staff was kind, thoughtful & made you feel comfortable with the dentist being the cherry on top, she was wonderful.

Fantastic experience: I see Dr. Gallup. She is AMAZING. FANTASTIC "bedside" manner, very informative and she took extra care when I told her I was nervous because of tooth sensitivity. The office staff that I have interacted with are always extremely helpful, kind and welcoming. My only complaint is that they don't participate with my insurance (Delta Dental) anymore, but I can't really put that on them, Delta is being cheap and won't negotiate fair prices. That said, I don't mind paying more for the "out-of-network" services because of Dr. Gallup and the staff.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr French for over 35 years. He takes the time to address my concerns and I trust his expertise. I have cleanings done by Laurie. She is the best dental hygienist. She is friendly, gentle on my teeth, and is an asset to this dental office. In addition, I have to thank Dr Gallup and her wonderful assistant who filled 2 cavities and catered to my dental anxiety! The office staff is excellent and submits all paperwork to my insurance company, making the process seamless. Everyone has gone above and beyond which creates an exceptional experience.

He is wonderful, explains the process thoroughly, makes sure I understand and answers any questions. I highly recommend Dr French and the entire office.

Fantastic experience: Had consultation with Dr. Gallup about post! Feel confident that my tooth will look marvelous! She was kind and professional! Today she put my tooth implant in- it’s amazing! Looks like my original! She and her dental assistant were so much fun and professional at the same time, which put me at ease! I recommend them to anyone, especially if you need an implant!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tsay’s team have taken care of my 75 year old dad starting a year ago from the moment my family and I have walked in. This starts from Michael, one of the receptionists, her assistant whose name I forget, and all the way through back to Michael or whoever else at checkout. We will go back to continue improving and managing my dads dental issues. Great service, exceptional service, and they clearly have a great team in place. No insurance or no dental coverage, no problem. Their wellness plan can’t be beat. I highly recommend the dr. Tsay and her team for cleanings, extractions, fillings, cavity management, and whatever else they do, I’m sure they excel at it. Great business and thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I'm really pleased to meet such a group of people for the first time that made you feel welcome and wasn't a rush at me, to hurry up with paperwork. FROM THE FRONT DESK, TO THE HYGIENIST. They were kind , smiling and friendly. I then knew that the DOCTOR would be kind n approachable, and he was. His Staff Shows what type of place he operates, as well as personality. I will miss Dr. JAMES MONACO N HIS STAFF IN FAYETTEVILLE, NY. But I will always remember the special touch of Dr. Monaco matching me up with a DENTIST that is kind, friendly and excellent with his dental work. Fantastic experience: Wow, what a breath of fresh air this office is. The staff are wonderful, warm, friendly, personable, and caring. What I liked best was the receptionist was not reaching over the counter 5 seconds after I got there trying to get my wallet out. My last office was apparently always afraid I was gong to run out and not pay my bill! The hygienist spent time with me, explained the x-rays to me, and seemed to genuinely care about my oral health. I highly recommend this Dental service!

Fantastic experience: They got me an appt. the same day I called: On a Friday. Everyone was very nice and professional from Mike at the front desk, the x-ray tech, and Dr Gallup and the tech she worked with were amazing, I truly enjoyed being in the chair ( I can’t believe I wrote that). They listened to my concerns, assured me it would be a relatively easy fix which was very reassuring. Dr Gallup was familiar with the specialist’s work which was being repaired and had the equipment in the office to complete the repair. I will be switching to this office for all my general dentistry.

Fantastic experience: I get extremely anxious at even the thought of going to the dentist . Even at 65+ yrs old. I procrastinated for a very long time . I walked in and was greeted promptly at the front desk . I was called in before I could even finish the paperwork . Again a warm greeting by the assistant . And the dentist came in soon after . My procedure took a bit but they had me on my way as quick as they could which I appreciated . Very caring,thorough,attentive and friendly office .

Fantastic experience: I didn’t have an appointment. It was an emergency situation and I was in pain. Somehow they managed to fit me in, fix my problem, and sent me on my way. I have been going here for many years. Would never even consider going somewhere else. Friendly and caring people.

Negative experience: I've always had great experiences with James Street Dental. They've helped me get in on relatively short notice several times to deal with severe pain. I've had one root canal and one extraction done with their help. However, I recently had a crown done. James provided the referral and ultimately produced and placed the crown. During the process, I lost my job and lost my dental insurance. All work except for PLACING the crown was done before I lost my job. Now I'm being told that because they could not bill the work until it was all completed, my insurance won't cover any of the work. The root canal was done by Atwal Dental in North Syracuse and cost about $1500. I was NOT expecting that James would hit me with ANOTHER $1375. Apparently, even with insurance, a root canal and crown cost almost $3000 I would expect my dentist to work with me to ensure that the dental insurance I paid for absorbs as much of the cost as possible. When I called to try to explain this to James Street Dental, they just kept telling me they couldn't bill it until the crown was placed. Maybe I was asking the wrong questions, but the net result is that a 30-minute dental visit cost me $1375. No matter how it's framed or explained, that is the net result. I would suggest advising people of the cost of procedures. I could've saved a few thousand dollars and had an extraction done.

Fantastic experience: Upon arrival for my appointment, I was attended promptly and professionally. My dental hygienist was very friendly and courteous. She informed me of my options and answered my questions.

Somehow, he along with the hygienist, manage to have me smiling, comfortable and relaxed, for which I am grateful.

Fantastic experience: In the past, I have had terrible experiences with dental work. I love Dr. Gallop!! She explains and shows you what needs to be done. Explains what she is doing. I use to have anxiety attacks when I had dental appointments but her office people are all so friendly and she cares about her patients. (She even sings ... not bad either! Lol).

Positive experience: The entire Dental team is great. The Dentist, Dr. Corso, the Dental Hygienist, Carolyn and Biz and Laurie, Dental Assistant and Office Staff are wonderful. They are very professional, caring, happy people. The atmosphere is welcoming and I feel relaxed and confident that I am receiving good dental care. I saw Adrian, RDH yesterday, 10-9-24, and she is a very competent hygienist. 05-22-25. I saw Adrienne RDH and Mom saw Carolyn. Adrienne is a gifted hygienist. She makes me feel relaxed and she does a very thorough cleaning. She is helpful in suggesting use of extra dental implements such as water pik, and interproximal cleaning aids to assist in keeping pockets clean and perhaps to keep pockets from getting deeper. Carolyn communicated with me regarding my 99 year old mother. Hopefully, Mom will continue to have good hygiene and I will assist her with daily routine.

The cleaning is thorough and effective without being overdone. My gums and teeth always feel comfortable, with no pain or bleeding for months after the cleaning. Sharon is truly one of the best hygienists I’ve ever met. She’s caring, does an excellent job with the cleaning, and always shares helpful tips that have really improved my daily oral care routine. Of course, the doctors are top notch also, but I don't need to see them that often. Yah!

Fantastic experience: I am so thankful that I was able to return as a patient to James Street Dental Arts. I pay one annual fee for the wellness program, the benefits definitely outweigh the cost (includes 2 dental cleanings, X-rays, emergency exam, etc.). Especially considering the incredible job that the staff does every time I come in! There is never a wait which I greatly appreciate as I have 2 jobs, so it can be a challenge scheduling appointments so I really like that my time is not spent sitting in a waiting room. Yesterday Carolyn cleaned my teeth, not only does she do an excellent job but she is so personable and nice! Truly cannot say enough kind things about the staff! Thank you for all that you do!

I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time just due to just life and insurance struggles and they never made me feel bad or put me down for it. She was very positive and uplifting, comfortable to speak to and very personable. I had a male dental assistant who was very sweet as well and I cant remember his name! But he was great also. I did hours of research on dentists and I left there super happy about my decision to go to James Street Dental Arts!! I will be taking my whole family here now.

I have to say, this was the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I want to say a special thank you to Dr. Holland Gallup and I want to say Erica, if I caught her name correctly in my panic, for the kindest, warmest care I’ve ever gotten at a dentist. I have medical issues that often make dental care more difficult and not only was Dr. Gallup aware, she had fantastic advice and recommendations. Like others have said, I will echo there was no shame in the fact that I haven’t been to a dentist in 7 years. I will absolutely be on time for my 6 month and every appointment after. Both the dental hygienist and the dentist were friendly and told me what they were doing and how it would feel in my mouth as they went. There was a lovely student there to observe as well. Great place, please book your care here, you will not be disappointed.

She demonstrated exceptional patience with loving kindness to our Down Syndrome daughter who is a challenging patient. Fantastic experience: James Street Dental Arts is probably the friendliest dental office I’ve visited and I was promptly seen. Sharon, my dental hygienist, was awesome. She was gentle yet very effective, she held great conversation, and her personality is delightful. I hadn’t been to the dentist in quite a long time, and there was zero shame, or scolding. I normally have anxiety at the dentist but with the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the office, and gentleness of the hygienist, I felt zero anxiety.
