Negative experience: Beware of out of pocket charges. They didn't make you sign papers for nothing. Besides what your insurance company pays even if you have $3,000 insurance coverage. You're going to pay out of pocket. Talking about ripping Insurance Companies and people off, We will never go back .

Negative experience: Came for a very simple denture adjustment and it turned to a long process without geting anything done and was charged for the visit when my insurance was zero co pay. It’s plain to see that aspen cares more about the money than it does it’s patients.

Fantastic experience: I went into dentist office first time today . My experience was great! I had some tests etc . I have another appointment coming up soon . Love love everyone there . They were professional yet friendly. I’m proud to say I put my dental needs in their hands and can’t wait to get started on this journey to a new smile …Lisa Jones was so caring and nice to me she helped me in being relaxed enough to keep coming abd her work is top notch .

Fantastic experience: Hi I'm a 2yr consistent patient here at this office & have spent 20 yrs trying dentists in Dandridge, Newport, Sevierville, Seymour, and other practices in Morristown & I've settled here. For starters: even though you have insurance it doesn't cover 100%; they do require a retainer fee upfront before starting anything as new customer- it's business. I'm a small business owner & do the same for new clients. Once appointments are set in a treatment plan IF an opening comes available before your scheduled date they will offer you to be bumped up which I love-especially if there's cavities etc. Dr Funderburke is the first dentist to ever explain the process of preventing further erosion & enamel loss and how to easily prevent it(lots of dentists want you to come back & have issues because it's job security). I had periodontitis & needed a deep clean BECAUSE all the other hygienists were never cleaning down into my gum line hard enough. I've never skipped a cleaning since 2018. Trish & Michelle are both my hygiene saviors- they teach you how gums are rated & what they do in a deep clean & I've only had to have 1 my entire life thankfully- mine were moderate diseased but now are cleaned back up to healthy & have remained that way since Feb 2024- my past 4 dentists didn't do this!!! I also appreciate the itemized list on the treatment plan & they do not add to it without your permission- it takes a bit to get started here as a new patient vs. other practices but it's because they give you a comprehensive appointment to start out with so you're not surprised by anything later.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff. Knowledgeable to what needs be done for patients! Alexis is my favorite. She always goes over treatment and payments throughly with helping you understand what you will pay upfront. I would 10/10 recommend using Aspen Dental.

Positive experience: I was seen on time. Dr. Funderburk was great & very personable! My bottom implant denture had cracked in half! I received them in 2023 & I was in shock. This practice was very accommodating but I was charged $2000 & had to pay that day. it is my understanding that these denture had a 7 year warranty! The dentist said one of the studs in my lower jaw was put in at an angle so that’s probably the reason they cracked (due to no fault of my own) My spouse had contacted the corporate office about this charge & they are looking into this matter for us. Sam the receptionist is absolutely awesome, so personable & friendly. The office manager is great as well. They seem to support each other & that means a lot in order to have a harmonious workplace!

Negative experience: The front desk is completely rude. She didn’t even say “you can have a seat it will be a few minutes” she left me standing there while she placed another call. I feel for you if you need to change an appointment because that apparently is difficult for this office in Morristown. I had 3 teeth pulled my whole chin and jaw bruised very badly. I guess Dr Funderburke was found in dental reject school. Don’t bother calling after office hours nothing but elevator music is all you get

From the receptionist, Emily in X-Rays, the RDA Angela, thoughtful & knowledgeable to Dr. Thompson, detailed, understanding and giving me down to earth answers to any questions I had, then Alexis, amazingly full of wonderful information checking me out. I’m delighted at the thoughtful care I received and still the cost was so low!! I’m continuing one with this office!

Negative experience: First appointment, was more of a consultation but it went well. Everyone was extremely friendly and made sure I was comfortable. First hygiene appointment is later this week. UPDATE: I have changed my review based on the second opinion I received from a family dentist. The treatment plan Aspen proposed was astronomical in comparison and was for treatments I don’t need. I was told I needed 5 fillings on top of other work which just isn’t true. The family dentist informed me there is no decay and no need for fillings. I have cancelled all appointments and will not recommend Aspen Dental to anyone I care about for fear they will be taken advantage of. The staff is very pleasant but the company itself is just out for money, in my honest opinion.

Positive experience: I can't understand why the 5 star reviews. The only reason I stuck with them for so long was because of insurance. The receptionist is always in a bad mood or something. Not very friendly. I've been trying to get work done for a month after I prepaid $800. I'm not sure why I need to prepay. I have insurance. They were supposed to call in an Rx for me to get a bunch of work done and it never happened. They never answer the phone and it takes days to get a call back when you leave a message. I lost my crown (which is 1 of the issues I've been trying to get done) and they couldn't get me in for a week! I can't go around for a week without anything on my tooth. No sense of urgency, no compassion. Dr. Thunderburk is very nice and funny. That's where it ends. Unfortunately, I'm having to find a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: I am so very grateful to the entire staff at Aspen Dental in Morristown. I had no appointment, was leaving on a trip in a matter of days and they took me in as a walk in for really bad tooth pain. I will be forever thankful to all of them!!!

Fantastic experience: The dentist and all the staff are delightful. I am always made to feel important to them. The hygienist Trish has become a friend. Although I can't remember everyone's names, I especially enjoy Ms. Porche. She fitted my crown and is especially kind and compassionate. She gives detailed instructions. The front receptionist Sam is wonderful. She is always crazy busy and yet makes you feel welcome. My dentist Dr. Fun (for short) is amazing. He is patient and mindful in all situations. He explains in detail. Throughout all procedures, he moves at my pace, never rushing and making sure I am comfortable and ready to proceed. I am really impressed with Aspen Dental in Morristown TN.

Many of the staff members worked hard to bring our appointment to a successful conclusion. A very special thanks to Phyllis, who worked many hours and never gave up until the problem was solved. Negative experience: So initially, I was excited to use a place that seemed to have an all in one. I scheduled an exam and cleaning since my last one was about a year ago. I recently moved from another state and needed a new dental practice During the exam they indicated some gum damage. Sounded like it was really bad. (but I was very confused because I have always had yearly check ups and never heard of any issues in the past. Very strange) after the exam I was moved to the front office like I was at a car dealership. They went over expensive treatments and my payment plans. Again confused . I just wanted my cleaning , but was told I needed more than a basic. My insurance would cover the basic so I wanted it completed. It was not done. They kept pushing for other treatments. They were mostly concerned on getting good reviews and not the needs of the patient. Setting up appointments can be difficult and waiting on hold. I'm back at a family practice. Feeling much better. I always recommend getting a second opinion.

Fantastic experience: I think Aspen is absolutely fantastic. Had a crack in my dentures. Took them to the comparison, Affordable Dentures, was told they could replace them and it would only take one to two weeks for $1049.00. I explained I was leaving the country in eight days and that would not work. I left and went to Aspen. It took them an hour and cost me $49.00. Saved my vacation. Will be my hero for ever. Negative experience: Went to get my broke dentures fixed.they said we have to xray,I said no,she said we have to it is required I said why,so they did 1 xray later the .nurse said he wants to look at your teeth,so he did an said we need to do xrays I said no, but they would not hear of it, I said no again.the technician called out funderburk the dentist an he said it is required I said no again I don't need them I stated if you do an the insurance don't pay for them I can't they assured me it would.. but they billed the insurance 240 dollars for what i refused gave me a bill for148 dollars with 44 dollar discount now they want me to pay 104.dollars after I told them no. there was 3 of them in front of me telling me I had to do the xray.i felt intimidated by them.now they won't money for what I refused..so awful

Positive experience: The employees are extremely friendly. They took great care of my needs. The only complaint I would have is it seems like a money pit. You can not get your needs taken care of in one day. Example they gave me 3 different appointments to take care of 2 cavities and 1 crown. Granted I have not been to the Dentist in a long time but you used to be able to get all the care you need in one day. Things have changed so I don’t want to be too negative about that. Overall would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Funderburk and Dr. Thomas or Thompson, ( not sure of her last name) are very kind doctors. The whole staff are super nice. I plan to go back soon to start process of getting dentures. I had to have one tooth extracted that day and Dr. Thomas was very patient with me and made sure it was pain free. As of now I highly recommend their services.

Negative experience: I had an appointment scheduled 5 months in advance. I get a call two weeks from my appointment and they said they needed to reschedule and they could get me in two days from that phone call. I said "okay?.." then they booked me. In reality I was very stressed out in my personal life so I didn't make the time to call them back and say hey wait I want another appointment etc etc. I feel like they gave my appointment to someone else they favored or wanted to go on vacation and my insurance ended that month do to a new job start. So I was going to schedule the next appointment when I got the insurance transition handled. Though now I'm stuck without an appointment. I am so unsure why this place is rated so high on other reviews in the East Tennessee area saying "I should have just waited for Aspen" when they will just give your appointment away and not seem very empathetic about it.

Negative experience: Talk about sticker shock! Based on their commercials I expected dental care at a reasonable cost... But this is run by a corporation so I am not really surprised that they are twice as expensive as my regular dentist. Great staff..but excessively overpriced!

Positive experience: My initial reaction to Aspen Dental was very poor. The receptionist, Sam, was rude and clearly aggravated. She was short and snappy with me. Idk if it was just me or if she was having a bad day or what. She was huffing and puffing like how one might expect a teenage girl to act. However once I was in the back everyone else was very nice, helpful, and professional. The Dr was very nice also. The whole experience could have been great if it wasn't for the way the receptionist acted. I would go back in the future as everyone deserves a second chance, but I would not want to be treated the same way, and if I am I won't ever go back again. Thank you to everyone there who made me feel welcome.

Michele explains everything she is about to do with your dentures. Michele checks to make sure you are okay.

Positive experience: Everyone was very nice. Office and dental work area is clean. Restroom clean. They have a clear detailed plan of what I need done and how much it would be as well as what my insurance would cover. They would've had 5 stars but after the x-rays I was waiting for 50 minutes with no one ever updating me about how much longer till the dentist would be in. I was considering leaving but really need to get my teeth work done.

Positive experience: The visit was fine but before I said if my insurance won't pay for it I can't do it. The Dr and the techs were very nice. I went to check out the lady said my part would be around $4,000. I told her I couldnt pay that. Take out a loan, no. Pay monthly, no. No money means just that. Soooo I am getting nothing. Waste of my time. I have $6,000 on my insurance, apparently they only pay for a portion of what I need. Otherwise I was treated very nice.

Fantastic experience: Quick simple sign in. Everyone was so friendly and never felt judge based on my dental health. The dentist was amazing, understanding of my current discomfort and mindful of this discomfort as he proceeded with my care. Ultimately God lined everything up for me to be seen today. Fantastic experience: I wasn’t too joyful to be going to Dentist my past experiences with demon nurses like Jeff City Dentist & getting bandaids when I needed stitches, but soon as I arrived I was blown away by how polite, prompt, & caring each person I saw was. I will go back anytime for all my dental work, simply amazing.

Positive experience: Everyone was nice but nobody understood what I was there for. I told the receptionist I just wanted to get my dental plate fixed or have a new one fixed.she had me down to have my bottom teeth pulled and denture made.I told them when they brought me in and started taking xrays of my bottom I'm not here for that. But wouldn't listen then got me to chair for doctor to come pull my teeth and told him what I was there for.finally I got them to understand what I was there for.and got a new denture plate made but won't be ready for 3 weeks what happened to being made in one day like 15 years ago. People that already had dental plates don't need to go through with all that before getting a new plate and don't need to wait 3 and 4 weeks for it to be made seriously.I can't hardly talk clear without them can't eat good solid foods without them.mostly just soft foods and soup seriously. Need to go back to having these back in a day. And have the receptionist and others to see what problem is and wanting done first instead of just what I went thru. I work graveyard shift.I wanted to get new plate done get home and get sleep for work I spent half of my day dealing with this and had to take vacation day off work where I didn't get home till late and not able to sleep.
