Fantastic experience: Update: I spoke to the manager and she was very under of my personal situation. I am happy eith the resolution and I will be continuing care at their office. ----- Love this dentist and the office but they have implemented a new self-check-in kiosk. I dont work at their office. I should not be forced to do their check-in work. I asked the front desk staff to check me in, stated I preferred not to do self check-in, and all they said was "oh, sorry. Let us know if you need any help." Ive been going to this practice for years but will be finding another dentist due to the principle of not wanting to check myself in and them refusing to check me in.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this place for any kind of oral surgery. I’ve had a very bad experience having an implant redone there. I believe the Dentist got in over her head and it cost me a lot of pain and I now suffer from my continual infection. I wish I would’ve went to an oral surgeon specializes in this sort of thing.

Negative experience: Had scheduled an appointment for my daughter, get a text saying they need to reschedule so no problem i do. A week prior to the new appointment I get a text to check in on line it tells me there is no appointment so I call to confirm. Yes the appointment was there and no worries. An hour later I get a text saying they need to reschedule AGAIN. I call back again and the girl tells me "yes we need to reschedule again" i said never mind this is the 3rd total appointment I have made i am just gonna cancel....her response "ok" so clearly they are not gonna miss you.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dental center for twenty years.And although they've gone through very many changes, I want to say I am now with Doctor Lopez, whom I cannot say enough good things about. He's very informative. He's very thorough. Great personality and I couldn't be more pleased. I wouldn't go anywhere else

Fantastic experience: I love my hygienist Maggy. Been seeing her for over 20 years. I would als9 like to add that this last visit I had to check in on a computer. I absolutely DO NOT LIKE that AT ALL. esp when I have to STAND UP to do it. Well, I forgot her name, but a very nice young lady staff member came over and guided me through it. I wish I could remember her name because she should be commended for her effort

Fantastic experience: I got an extract of a broken tooth removed that I had sitting in my gums for year. When I tell your doctor Lopez removed it so easily I had no pain from it but his assistant Ibet takes the award home for best assistant and as my support partner. She was so nice and made me feel so comfortable. I wouldn’t trade this place anywhere. If I had to get another procedure done, I will definitely ask for Ibet to be with me in the Room. She is very comforting The entire time.

Negative experience: HATE THE KIOSK……I watched a lady get a tissue from her purse and blow her nose, put the tissue back in her purse and continue to operate the kiosk…./UNSANITARY….GERMS…..a gentleman was waiting to use the next available kiosk as there was another male using the other kiosk… put disinfectant wipes next to the kiosk or I will be checking in the regular desk way……LOVEEEE CATARINA….if she leaves I will have to find another dentist….Kandi is so bubbly and makes the visit soooo pleasant and relaxing../NEED MORE LIKE THESE 2…..also Alician is AMAZING……prices are a little high here …..

Negative experience: I went to this office for 15+ years till Dr Soliman came in and messed up my simple filling, I never knew she put a filling on top of another filling, until I had a 2nd opinion and they showed me pics of my tooth..and how nothing was sealed correctly! In the end my tooth is now removed because my tooth was not able to be saved .. DO NOT see her save yourself .. clearly she isn’t educated on how to do a filling. So sad cause I loved going here but the good educated docs have retired

Fantastic experience: Update: 8/13/25 - I travel all the way from Pasco County. The only reason I continue to visit is because of Dr. Claudia Moricz for the ortho side. She did my braces and once complete I brought my son to also be treated. 4 years ago Dr. Mark, Cerry & Eva are awesome! They work well together and made sure I was satisfied with my service on each visit. The customer service team are always nice and very helpful as well.

Negative experience: I've been a patient here for over a decade. I arrived for my 2pm appointment today that I had pre-checked in online for. I was told I needed a QR code to check in now at these new kiosks they have in the waiting area. I informed the lady that I never received one, then the she proceeded to tell me how to search for it. I sat there for awhile searching my email and texts with no luck. Then I thought why am I jumping through hoops just to get checked in when she is sitting right there in front of the machines. She never got my name, she could have just checked me in herself. I'm sure the elderly patients are going to love this new system. That was it for me. I just got up and left. I've been thinking of choosing another dentist closer to my current home but I've been a loyal patient here and I was comfortable with this place. Thanks for helping me make my decision.

Negative experience: Do not recommend this dentist at all. I told them I need X-rays and a cleaning and asked the price and they said $149. When I get to my appt, now all of sudden they aren’t sure if they can fit my cleaning in but EXPECT ME TO PAY THE FULL PRICE! I have never heard of paying for something that you don’t receive. I called many dentists getting times and prices before I go out or town and I had to walk out and go back to the drawing board. And the cherry on top, she was irritated with me as if I should have known I’d be paying for all my services and only getting some of them. So disappointed and never experienced anything like this.

Fantastic experience: We came from out of town to get our daughter’s braces removed. It was found that she had two cavities. We were pressed for time as we live in another state, they were about to fit us in to complete the fillings without making us do full X-rays and cleaning at the time. Myeesha and Ashley were great with helping out and reducing my daughter’s anxiety. Dr. Lopez was amazing as well! He was quick and efficient and explained everything thoroughly. Thank you guys for exceptional care!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mercado is the type of dentist every one wants. I have heart and high blood pressure problems. I needed a tooth extracted. Last time I went to an oral surgeon and it was a mess. Dr. Mercado said it was no big deal and that she could handle it. She then went on to fully explain how she would do that. Her confidence was both calming and reassuring. I had no problems during or after the procedure. I cannot recommend Dr. Mercado or St. Petersburg Dental clinic highly enough.

Fantastic experience: It had been a while since I’ve been to the clinic, so the first visit was quite long. The technician made it seem painless and discussed every detail of what was being done as each step was very important. I had a very thorough inspection and cleaning. Over all it was very pleasant.

Fantastic experience: This was my second appointment at this office and both appointments have been great! My hygienist was Rochelle who performed the most thorough cleaning I've had at a dental office. Rochelle took the time to explain what she was doing and what she was looking for during the appointment which made me comfortable throughout the process. She recommended products at the end of the appointment which I am currently utilizing at home and I am loving the results! She is very knowledgeable in her field and a professional at her job. I have recommended her to family, friends and coworkers.

Staff was very accommodating, especially my dental hygienist (Rochelle) who did a fantastic job explaining all procedures and any issues I had. Negative experience: Long-Time Patient Deeply Disappointed (But This Isn’t About the Entire Office) I’ve been a loyal patient at this dental office for many years, and overall, I’ve had good experiences — which makes this review difficult to write. Please know this feedback is not directed at the entire staff, but specifically at my last two visits and one particular hygienist (whose name I’ll leave out). During both visits, my cleanings were extremely rushed — this most recent one took barely five minutes from start to polish. There was no manual scaling, minimal use of the ultrasonic scaler, and she went straight to polishing. When I asked why she skipped these steps, she told me the others who had cleaned my teeth in the past were basically doing unnecessary work “just for the heck of it.” That comment really bothered me. If the tools are available, and those steps have always been part of my care, why leave them out now? She also told me there was “nothing for her to clean,” which felt dismissive and frankly inaccurate. I know the difference between a thorough cleaning and a shortcut. After the first time this happened, I even bought a dental scaler kit to clean my own teeth at home — something I never expected to do after a professional cleaning. I let it slide once, but this time I asked questions — and was accused of being rude for doing so. For context: I’m not the type to complain or leave negative reviews. I’ve never even said anything when there’s a hair in my food at a restaurant. But this crossed the line from “not ideal” to “not acceptable.” Again, this review is not about the entire office. I’ve had great care here in the past. But if this is how some newer hygienists are being trained or allowed to operate, something needs to change. Long-time patients deserve consistent, professional care — not shortcuts and excuses

Positive experience: I like the staff but the restroom is always dirty. It’s small, dingy, and dirty. Makes you wonder about everything else.

Fantastic experience: A good experience with this dental office. Unfortunately had a tooth pulled,was infected. Got the the antibiotics needed and procedure was fine. The dental assistant is very nice and professional. Doctors there are definitely recommended, however I misplaced her name. Going back for a post care.

Fantastic experience: I had a cleaning today. It was excellent. Very comfortable. The hygienist was very knowledgeable. Her name was Katarina. She also inquired for me and got me more information for the tooth extraction they want and replacement they want to do. That was very nice.

Positive experience: They did a great job taking care of my dental issue. The only reason they don't get five stars is that their staff did not call back after I called reporting pain and they always run late. So you can't go there if you are in a hurry.

Negative experience: I had scheduled an appointment last week and was told that there was availability for a new patient on 3/25/25. Because of my work schedule, I am only available Monday- Friday @ 8:00am. I received a text message on Friday andy appointment was cancelled. I spoke with Chantel this morning and was told that my appointment needed to be rescheduled because my appointment was given to an existing patient. The next availability would be in July. Very unprofessional way to conduct business.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding Dental Practice. The dental hygienist was absolutely the finest and best my husband and I have ever had! The dental hygienist was very knowledgeable, efficient, and compassionate and provided excellent cleaning. The Dentist was thorough and highly competent. All of the staff from the front office to the dentist are outstanding. We would recommend this practice to everyone we come to.

Negative experience: Caterina was great a real pro with over 30 yrs experience. This was my first visit, I got a great deal for $149 cleaning, exam, and X-rays. And Dr. Solomon was very nice. I have no insurance but their prices are average. A cleaning is $125 wing X-ray $88 and exam $78.

Fantastic experience: My dental hygienist Jessica was absolutely phenomenal !!!! I have a phobia of going to the dentist she talked and explained everything to me and made me feel very comfortable about my procedure. Rochelle was awesome she was very gentle if you need teeth cleaning she is the one!! Dr Mercado was amazing I had to get fillings and an extraction she was very gentle did an amazing job! I didn’t feel any pain This is a great place the front desk reception was very approachable she helped me and made me more relaxed before I went back to to see the Doctor. If you need a dentist you should definitely recommend this place

Fantastic experience: Was having issues with another dental place to get a tooth extracted that was infected and causing me extreme pain. They got the problem situated within a month times. Tooth is out. Healing now. Will give an update once the procedure is fully complete.

Positive experience: This is still very new, and I did have a recent issue that caused concern, so I will keep my review to a minimum this time. So far, it has been a good, eye opening experience. I will continue to watch and observe for the next four visits for my dentures. It did not work out for my dentures. I will try another place . Just not a could fit my dentures, no pun intended

Negative experience: They charged $2200 for a crown (this was price with some discount card they told me to buy for $200) and the procedure was awful. Now I have found a dentist charging $1130 for a crown and another one who charges $1300. Why would the price be doubled?

Fantastic experience: My hygienist, Mindy was top notch. She is gentle, yet, thorough and really cares about her patients well-being. Emily went above and beyond , even stayed late, to help me fix an insurance confusion . And the Dentist Dr. Solomon is a great team member. I've been going here since 1980. The new "owners" work these people too hard though and many people don't even get a lunch! That hurts everyone. I hope they can fix this? Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to St Pete Dental Center for about a year after going to a couple of other places downtown. I wish I came here first. I feel like I get the VIP treatment: friendly assistant, no wait, lovely higeniest and then real, untrusted talk with the dentist. I can't ask for anything better.

Positive experience: Very pleased with work done. But had to call the office 2 times for the prescription 2 get called in 7 hours after Service. Billing also a problem. Was charged $291,00 2 times the same for the same day for Service. Disputing charge with credit card.

Negative experience: I had a chipped tooth and called for appointment, but the day before my appointment I got a call saying that the doctor had family emergency and I need to reschedule, understandable, no problem, things happen so I asked for the next available appointment. I got Christmas Eve 10.50 am and I ended up sitting there for almost 2 hours just to be sent home without any treatment. First at the waiting room, then at the operating room. Doctor running between the rooms desperately trying to keep up with the demand. Finally I saw the doctor, then sat some more at the operating room till the lady comes to tell me that I'm not going to be treated that day because I was taken in as an extra(?!). She takes me back to the waiting room and tells me to sit and wait for the manager (for what?). Other 20 minutes go by and I'm called to the room where the cost of the treatment (a grown) was spelled out to me and return appointment offered. I expressed my frustration to this man but he just stared at me, no apologies or explanations. If I knew that I was an "extra" with no real appointment, I would've never come in, especially not on Christmas Eve. I decided to suck it up and get the tooth fixed and I went to this "real" appointment after Christmas and learned that they schedule 3 people for the same timeslot for the same doctor. The doctor was really nice and I felt so bad for him, again running between the rooms trying to keep up while the staff was arguing over his attention. I ended up at this office because my insurance dropped my previous dentist. When I was given this Christmas Eve appointment I learned that the doctor I saw at my very first visit to this office was no longer working there, - I think I know now why. How long can anybody work successfully in a pressure cooker and how long is too long to keep patients waiting...?

Fantastic experience: To be transparent, I was frustrated with the beginning of my first experience with St Petersburg Dental Center.I arrived early at least ten minutes early, paper work submitted on line the day before. I was greeted by a very nice receptionist Kathy I believe her name is. Then waited an hour before my name was called. I had left two previous dental offices with less patience. Then I met an angel Eva, she brought me back into the scary room called the dentist chambers. She was direct and charming at the same time and quickly took images of my teeth and caught me up in the process. Then Dr. Lopez quickly came in and shared a plan / strategy for my teeth and gums. Other than the wait I actually enjoyed my visit.

Fantastic experience: After my dentist retired I was left looking for a new dentist when a friend referred me to SP Dental Center. The service was great. Dentist Lopez was friendly and professional, as was the hygienist, Rochelle. So glad to have found my new dentist!

Fantastic experience: I came to St Petersburg Dental Center and worked with Dr Sullivan. She was the most patient, wonderful, calming dentist I have ever been to. She's also the Filling QUEEN.My new primary dentist! She also has a wonderful assistant Eva who was so helpful calming me down during X-rays and with us in all appointments.

Fantastic experience: The lady who cleans my teeth is the best! We always have interesting talks during the cleanings. Of course I never get to say very much…. She pretty much dominates the conversation! She’s the best! She is very nice having to deal with an old fart like me! She’s pretty tough too! I think she must be from New York! She gave me homework!Can you believe that? I’m supposed to floss and use a water pick! Unbelievable! That’s never going to happen…. Well… I will try to use the water pick….She cleans my wife’s teeth too! Did you know my wife pays her $20 extra dollars to make sure my teeth cleaning is extra painful! It’s true….. ok… that’s a lie…. I think…. See you guys soon!

Fantastic experience: I was introduced to St Pete Dental Center because of an emergency visit for a missing crown & a need for a root canal. Eva, Dr Solimanns assistant was very caring & professional. She arranged a root canal that day to relieve my pain. The following visits replaced the crown & were very professional & courteous. I highly recommend both the St Pete Dental Center & staff especially Eva.

Negative experience: Totally lacking of Integrity and Morals, Their only care how much money they can milk you for and will certainly LIE to you and do work that doesn't need to be done. Don't be a FOOL and go there, do your self a favor and find a Real truthful dental practice. After all it your teeth.

Fantastic experience: The care here helps ease those who may be nervous about the dentist. Eva is a friendly and fabulous hygienist who takes time to answer any questions, explain what she’s doing, and doesn’t rush you out the door. I really appreciate all the welcoming and helpful staff here. The surgeon they referred me to for impacted wisdom teeth removal was also excellent.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to the St. Petersburg for years for routine care. This is the first time having major work done there and all of their staff including Dr. Soliman and Eva are very caring. Also Katrina has been very good for my routine care.

Fantastic experience: What a beautiful, comfortable, and professional office. From the first phone call, I could tell I was gonna like it. Heidi is very chil, knowledgeable, and will walk you through the whole process. The scheduling was easy, which I was not expecting with my availability. I'll have to say Rachelle absolutely crushed it. I'm a pretty chill person I'd like to think. Rachelle had so much confidence and made everything easy as she explained each step. I don't know if it was a compliment or what when she said "oh it's not that bad, I've seen worse" . Anyway, I totally recommend and I'll will be back in 6 months.

Negative experience: Uodate Monday September 16: I have tried the number provided below twice. Both times it rang once and then went to a busy signal and disconnected me. Are you aware dental work can be painful? Second update: Sunday at 5:30 pm and no call back from the Emergency number after 5 messages left. Update: I have left 5 messages in 4 hours and not one has called back. Do you understand you have an emergency number?? My suggestion is do NOT make an appointment here. Find a dentist who cares about their patients. I have been a client for 3 years. I had a tooth pulled Tuesday September 10. I have left 4 messages on the after hours line as I am in extreme pain. Noone is responding. My first call was 2 hours ago. To say I am disappointed in the lack of care and response would be an understatement. Once I get this tooth pain under control I may need to consider a new compassionate, responsive dental center.

Positive experience: I've been going to St. Pete Dental for 30 years or so. The last few years there has been a lot of turnover in Dentists and Hygienists, which is troubling. I haven't had anything more than cleanings done in the last couple of years, and those are fine, despite the turnover in personnel. It does seem less personal than it used to be, though. My biggest complaint is how many REMINDERS they send out about your appointment. Between emails and texts, I got nearly 20 reminders! Even after I CONFIRMED the appointment, I continued to get reminders! I do not need all these reminders! I am an adult and have a CALENDER. I got it! What would be nice is if you texted me to say the hygienist is running 20 minutes late. After all those reminders FOR ME TO BE ON TIME, you WERE NOT ON TIME. That is extremely annoying.

Positive experience: I was not a happy camper today. I was kept waiting for 45 minutes for my cleaning appointment with no notice about what was happening. There were not adequate people at the front desk. They all appeared to be new. The dentist came in to see me during my hygiene appointment and really could not fully articulate what she thought I should do regarding the issues uncovered today. Mindy remains the best hygienist, though!

Fantastic experience: St. Pete Dental is an excellent dental practice. I have been a patient for 6 years and have found the group to be friendly, efficient and capable. Eva, my hygienist, is always upbeat and thorough.

Fantastic experience: Love Erica my hygienist. She spent the time to get my hearing aid re connected to my phone so I can listen to my music for distraction. She was very patient .

Negative experience: I have been a patient for almost 35 years. Going corporate was the worst thing they ever did. I go there for Maggie only. When she leaves, so will I. I will not have any work done there. Cleanings only. When you go there, it’s new faces everywhere. That tells people all they need to know. Sad. Was once a fantastic Dental Office.

Fantastic experience: I didn't expect to say that a root canal went smoothly but it did. Dr. Solman and the Dental Assistant Eva were fantastic. Both have a light hand, were professional, and were plesant in a usually very uncomfortable situation.

Positive experience: I had gum surgery 5 days ago. This has been one of the most horrible experience s. Called the emergency line 5 times over the weekend and no one called me back. Went in first thing this morn in excruciating pain and asked to be seen because something is not right. They said Dr only works Th. We will just call meds in and see you on Thurs
