Negative experience: They are truly all about making money regardless! I have had procedures done at other dental offices paid by my insurance that Mountain View dental stated would cost me thousands of dollars out of pocket! and my insurance would not pay for it! Very nice staff and Dentist.

During my last few visits I've seen Dr. Alexander and Lariza, they make going to the dentist much nicer, really good people! Fantastic experience: I used to avoid the dentist because of anxiety and pain, but this office has completely changed that for me! The entire staff here is amazing, but Meagan always takes the time to make feel comfortable and at home before every cleaning. I've even started to look forward to coming in instead of dreading it like I used to.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy this dental office, everyone is friendly and professional but I enjoy it most because I have a fantastic hygienist “Ashley Grice” she takes her time, answers all of my questions and is gentle with my sensitive gums. She is very informed and friendly. I plan to switch all of my children over to Mountain View Dental, since I recently learned they do pediatric dental cleanings as well so I plan to request “Ashley Grice” to be their hygienist. We drive all the way from WSMR, but it’s worth the drive. Overall, I’d recommend this location to anyone, it’s clean, and they offer many services.

Fantastic experience: My family have all been patients at Mt. View Dental for about 5 years and have always had wonderful interactions with the staff. Too be completely honest, I don’t even know which dentists we have seen but our hygienists are the real showstoppers. Their attentiveness and attentiveness to each of us never goes unnoticed. While my daughter had braces, Andrea tended to her during most appointments and was my daughter’s absolute favorite. Always making sure she knew what needed to be done, and made us feel very comfortable with each transition. Not to mention by far the most efficient and quick in skill!

She is a great asset to this company due to her compassion, experience and communication skills. Negative experience: We have ALWAYS had a great experience at MVD until today! My husband has a fear of dentists, and there for has neglected dental care as a result. We were working on turning around that fear, but had the following experience today: He had an emergency situation with a broken tooth today, and the office staff promptly accommodated squeezing him in (They are amazing!). When we got to his appt. We were met with a new Dentist, Dr. Alexander. Let's just say he was very rude to my husband, very dismissive, unprofessional and had no compasion for his patient. ALL he said was why are your teeth so dirty, I can clean them but this( his broken tooth), I can't help you with and walked out, before we could explain his fears and why he might not have the same dental hygiene as someone else. That was the last we heard from him. It was very unprofessional, offered no help for pain management, no referral to a dentist who might be able to help him, NOTHING! And THIS is why people fear dentists. Thank goodness DR. MILLER will be in next week to see some of his prior patients.That was just Unprofessional and UNEXCEPTABLE!

Positive experience: Ashley C. is AMAZING! She values your time and takes the time to get to know you. Ashley is the reason we love going to Mtn View. She gets five stars. The front office gets one star. I did not have an appointment today because it was rescheduled by Mtn. View Dental. However I just received a text asking to post my thoughts and hoping it was a great visit. What is going on? This happened to my husband too. How has this gotten so hard? Why can they not keep the appointments they schedule and do the work they promised like they used to?

Negative experience: Got a call from MVD yesterday cancelling my appointment I had made for this morning. It could have been rescheduled for this afternoon, but I needed a morning appointment. The next available morning appointment was December 4th....2025... so they made the appointment for that day, four months away. Not sure what to think -

Fantastic experience: I visited the office for a shattered crown. My care was the best I’ve ever experienced. The entire staff were so friendly and so professional. Dr Rankin’s skills were excellent and he was committed to providing the best outcome possible. He delivered and I now have a perfect crown that is perfect. His dr patient relationship was as good as it gets. He explained everything as he went. I have scheduled appointments for my wife and me for cleaning and new patient evaluation. I highly recommend dr Rankin !!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sean Alexander and his dental assistant, Lariza, make a near perfect team. They did a root canal on my badly infected tooth and it could not have gone any smoother. Dr. Sean assured me that I would not need any sedative or anesthesia since the root was dead. He was correct. Absolutely no pain and no anesthesia 'hang-over.' Other dentists might have given unneeded anesthesia. Being fully awake, I was able to to follow their work and interaction. It was flawless! Dr. Sean is the best and he works well with his very capable dental assistant, Lariza. And, they are both very likable people.

Fantastic experience: Mountain View Dental is a great dental office. The office staff is friendly and professional. The hygienist I was paired with, Holly, is knowledgeable, professional and just a great human. Dr. Lybbert was very knowledgeable, gentle and friendly. I cannot remember the last time I was treated with such dignity and compassion in a medical office. It was a welcomed surprise. The only constructive criticism I have to offer is that a size inclusive chair in the waiting room is desperately needed. Other than that, this was an excellent experience, and I highly recommend this dental office to anyone on the fence about trying them.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Alexander. As a 20 year dental assistant from NY I had a lot of experience with dentures. After reviewing my husband’s health and dental history he recommended what was best for his situation. He didn’t try to sell more dental procedures than my husband needed or could tolerate. Dr. Alexander worked around his ability to tolerate the dental procedures. Also because he had a history of dental implants that failed, Dr. Alexander realized he getting more implants was not the best choice for my husband. We picked a teeth color that looked great. My husband ended up with a great set of teeth. Apparently Dr. Alexander had a good dental laboratory because their team effort delivered a great set of teeth! dental lab He didn’t try to sell me anythithan

Fantastic experience: Mountain View Dental clinic is the best. Although I visit them every 6 months for regular cleaning and maintenance, this time it was an emergency (at least to me). They gave me a same day appointment right away. They were caring, sympathetic and very professional. I so appreciate all you help, guidance, and advice and highly recommend Mountain View Dental.

Positive experience: Had to make a payment today, they charge 3% extra for using credit/debit card!!! I took them cash back later for payment and expected change in return, but they don't offer change for cash payments!! Office lady in back stood up, Said it's their policy!!! If you accept cash, make change!!! No customer service here, just policy that needs to be changed!!! Future payments will be made in penny's only!!!!

Fantastic experience: The staff at Mountain View Dental is friendly and professional. When dealing with my toddler they ensure he has the best visit possible and made it a point to avoid anything traumatizing to encourage future visits would be positive. With my care, they were patient and attentive to my needs and follow up care. I have never felt rushed or bothersome. They accept United Concordia in full, which has been a great relief for our military family. To add to that thought, they are also far more affordable than other dental clinics in town before insurance even becomes involved. I greatly appreciate the staff and all their hard work.

Fantastic experience: Two dentists have performed dental implants/crowns and I am super impressed!!! First, both were always concerned about me being comfortable and painfree as possible! They made me feel I am the most important patient they have! Second, the work they performed was outstanding! Not only did they perform their tasks, they would explain what they were doing as they progressed! I have never had a dentist detail their progress as they go! And ask "how are you doing?". And the staff, even thought sometimes they were confused about my account, they always figured it out and would ask me, "please excuse me and thank you for your patience". Very nice, professional, and I am greatly appreciative of this clinic here in Alamogordo!! Side note: my last visit as I was waiting in the front area, a patient who I had no idea who he was, walked up to me (why he picked me I have no idea as there were others present), and started telling me how good this place was! He was a vet from El Paso and traveled to Alamogordo because he was not happy where the VA sent him in El Paso. And he lives in El Paso. He told me he was so HAPPY to find this dental clinic! He went on and on how lucky we were, how clean it was, professional, pleasant staff, and the unbelievably good doctors. His words!

I have been going the Mountain View for 6 years now and I have had 3 deep scalings and several cleanings. I will NEVER let anyone other than Ashley be my hygienist. Her technique is unlike anyone that I have found. I call it gentle but firm hands. Not painful but VERY good! Ashley, I hope you will see this! You are amazing. Negative experience: First time comer. And last time. After initial visit no one bother to schedule 6 mo follow up appointment, but keep calling about crown replace. Could not spell my name. Old equipment, with posters with pictures about mouth cancer pinned to the wall.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Mountain View Dental for 5+ years. They are always kind, efficient and take the time to discuss and address my dental needs. About 3 weeks ago I began having some discomfort and due to some extenuating circumstances the Ruidoso office was unable to accommodate. Instead of just saying, sorry, please wait another 3 weeks. Rochelle at the Ruidoso practice called down to the Alamogordo practice, worked with the office manager and got me in the next day. For someone with an insane schedule, words cannot express how appreciative and thankful I was for the concern and ability to get me in ASAP. As always, Dr. Lybbert and his team graciously fit me in, completed the dental assessment and were able to appease the discomfort. Thank you to all of the Mountain View peeps, appreciate you more than you know.
