Fantastic experience: Dr Sparks and his staff are the best around. They are so caring and pleasant to be around. This is coming from a patient who has been terrified of dentist her whole childhood and almost my adult life, until I met Dr Sparks. Before I would have to take medication just to step foot into the dentist. Not anymore. 100 out of 5

Fantastic experience: Dr. Michael Sparks is one of if not the best dentist I have ever had. He goes the extra mile to make sure Im comfortable at all times. Takes time to explain all my options for treatment. I use to drive from dixie hwy and have recently moved to Bardstown. It is still worth the drive out. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff all make sure you have the most pleasant experience you can have at a dentist office. My family all goes here, and everyone always has a great experience. Thanks for taking such great care of my family and I, you all our awesome!!!!

Negative experience: Came in for a cavity filling, was told insurance would cover. Then was charged $740, when I called to dispute , they told me I should’ve contacted insurance myself to check if they would cover it. Even though, originally they said they were contacting insurance to see if they would cover it. Extremely unprofessional and took advantage of me.

Negative experience: Would give zero stars if possible Heartless doctor with a huge ego. Doesn’t care about his patients in pain. It seems he wants you that way so that he can capitalize on it when it gets worse. Seems like a big phony. Won’t be back.

Negative experience: Very rude to my mother, disrespected or disrespected her and called her a liar. An accuser of things that are not true. They Was very cold to her. They help who they want, and if I don't want to, they don't. It all depends on how Important, they think you are sometimes. You will be surprised

Fantastic experience: As a 25 year old that never received dental care in my youth, I have always been nervous to go to the dentist. I finally took the initiative this year for my own health and booked a dentist appointment at the Shepherdsville Mortenson family dental. Now after having a cleaning, 3 fillings, and two wisdom teeth getting pulled, I can say that I will never want to go to a different dental office. Dr.sparks is very personable/professional and has made me feel comfortable with every visit. The entire staff seem to always be smiling and are just wonderful to interact with. I want to personally say thank you for everything you all have done for me and the community!

Fantastic experience: This was my first appt and I was pleasantly surprised and how quickly I was seen. Kristie , my Hygienist was professional and put me at ease. I would highly recommend to others. I've continued to return to Mortensen and the new hygienist Elissa was bright friendly and professional. I would continue to recommend. Fantastic experience: I just want to give a 5 star review on Mortenson Family Dental hands down to this clinic! Staff is very professional and kind hearted including Mr. Dr. Sparks he goes above and beyond for his pts to meet their every need. We just found out my husband was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma and he was needing a dental examination before treatments started , I called and they were able to get us in very quickly. We couldn’t ask for a better dentist office to come too in our situation. If you are needing any dental done please choose their clinics first amazing people!

Negative experience: Had to edit my review and give 1 star. I finally got an appointment scheduled and they canceled it the day before because I never responded "C" to their text. What kind of place does that? I had the appointment scheduled and I was going to show up... that's how appointments work. I am changing to a new dentist.

Negative experience: I like the dentists that are there but their rules are ridiculous. I had to cancel my cleaning appointment because I had a migraine I was offered another appointment the next day and I took that appointment (it takes months to get in for a cleaning) but by the next morning I still had my migraine so I had to cancel that appointment. There was a cancellation so I was able to get in today for my cleaning, went to schedule my next cleaning in 6 months and was told I wasn't allowed to make appointments because I cancelled my last 2 appointments. They told me to just call in January to see when I could get in, which probably would of been in May or June. The girl at the check out desk acted like she didn't know what I was talking about when I said that was ridiculous because it's 6 months away (the check out girl just sat there and didn't say anything just stared at me, now that irritated me), so I asked to talk to the manager and the girl said "You don't need to take it out on me" I wasn't taking anything out on anyone. I guess it was the manager that came out and scheduled the appointment for me. So if you ever go to Mortenson dental never reschedule your appointment the day of

Fantastic experience: Best dental experience. I spent two days calling all the local dentists to find they don't accept my insurance. I had a nasty infection caused by a very angry tooth. Mortenson Family Dental accepted my insurance, scheduled an appointment for me the same day and removed the tooth within 20 minutes of my arrival. My prescriptions were waiting at the pharmacy when I got there. The best part-no pain! Everyone is very friendly and professional. But, Dr. Furman is the best IMHO and will take care of my dental needs from now on.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service all around & “Ashley” specifically deserves major props for the outstanding work that she did on my teeth. I have extremely sensitive teeth & just simple cleanings are usually a horrendously painful experience for me; but Ashley somehow has been able to clean my teeth without EVER causing any pain or discomfort for me (& she has done this multiple times now). She is a literal answer to prayer. So thank you Ashley so very much & thank you to all the staff at this location who have always been super friendly & helpful with all my personal needs. I cannot say enough great things about this staff.

Negative experience: Explained to the assistant I was in excruciating pain. She took X-rays, dentist came in and told me simple fix I needed a root canal. He doesn’t preform root canals. They gave me 2 options, an evaluation with an endodontist the day of, or I could wait 3 days and see the endodontist who would “maybe” treat the same day. The assistant told me no endodontist would guarantee treatment over the phone. I googled endodontist, called the first one that came up, he had an opening at 2 and guaranteed he would fix it. I’m sure this is a great office, due to the many great reviews. Unfortunately I don’t think they are equipped to handle what I would consider an emergent situation. I left the office with nothing, no X-rays for my next appointment at the endodontist or a prescription antibiotic for the infected tooth.

I also have heart issues and they were so helpful in working around them the best that they could. So appreciative for staff that doesn't judge or make you feel bad for being anxious. I saw Ryan Sparks and she was so helpful and supportive. My last dentist & the office was not nearly as understanding or respectful. The whole team here was amazing!
