Fantastic experience: I highly recommend going here If you have any fear or anxiety of going to the dentist. The links that they go to make sure that you're comfortable during your appointment are incredible! I filled out an online survey prior to my first appointment, which I can't remember all the details about but they definitely paid attention to it because they asked me about some of the answers I'd given. I did not have to fill out any paperwork in the lobby, and the hygienist made sure to let me know each step of the way what she was about to do so I wasn't surprised or anxious, And she was very attentive to my body language when it came to whether or not I was ready to continue. When it comes to cleaning, they mostly used what I assume was a high-powered water flosser to remove hardened plaque, which was a huge relief because one of the things that I dislike about the dentist the most Is the scraping that they do with the metal tools to clean. Whatever they use did work, because my teeth are just as clean as if they had been scraped like I've had before. They also have several features to help you feel more comfortable while in the chair: the dentist chair Is equipped with a remote control that controls a massage function, you are also handed a remote for a Roku and have access to things like Netflix and Disney Plus and music. I was also offered a weighted blanket, which was very nice as well :) Cost wise, I don't really have a point of comparison since the last time I went to the dentist was on my parents insurance, but I did pay out of pocket - for a cleaning appointment that you would only have to do maybe once or twice a year it seemed pretty reasonable to me.

Fantastic experience: Been a patient for 5 years. Forrest has been my hygienist and I could not recommend her more. She is always very kind and communicative, has a gentle hand and always leaves me feeling nice and refreshed.

Receiving great advice from a friend in that field of medicine I had my first visit today. I have never previously experienced the level of detailed care, professionalism, and comfort I received today at Coulter Family Dentistry. The office is perfectly designed, it is welcoming and aesthetically perfect. The equipment is as modern and good as it gets. The examination and my cleaning was gentle and thorough. Dr. Coulter and Dr. Anna Birch are fantastic! The office staff and hygienists were gentle and accommodating. I highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this place enough! I have a lot of dental anxiety, and the receptionist and my hygienist, Annie Grace, were both very patient and understanding. Annie Grace explained every step and checked in with me regularly which was very helpful. The space itself is clean, comfortable, and professional. The technology is amazing! I got X-rays, a 3D scan, pictures, etc. which were all standard for a new patient. The cleaning was very thorough and both Annie Grace and Dr. Coulter answered all of my questions easily. The payment process and scheduling the next appointment were both painless experiences. I truly cannot recommend this office enough if you are looking for a dentist in the area! They have an exceptional team for which I am very grateful!

Fantastic experience: Every time I come in, everyone is smiling and in a great mood - not just staff, patients too. During my last visit, I had some old cavity fillings fixed. I was informed of what would be happening during the visit, made comfortable with some good country music, and I was asked throughout the procedure if I was doing okay or needed a break. Lauren ensured that the tools were ready to be grabbed by Dr. Birch while ensuring I wasn’t choking on my own saliva. Meanwhile, Dr. Birch quickly and confidently fixed what other dentists had done poorly. Throughout the visit, both of them lit up the room with jokes and laughter while also doing a great job fixing my teeth. The following day, I received a text asking if I was in pain or had any concerns. No pain, no concerns. Coulter Family Dentistry continually provides true patient centered care and I would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Just moved to Knox about 3 months ago and was overdue for a cleaning! The office is pristine & the staff is super sweet and welcoming! Fantastic experience: I chose this place based on the amazing reviews they had. And I was not disappointed!! I was more shocked than anything! Didn’t expect such Absolutely amazing staff that started at the front desk and lead all the way to the back with the other ladies and then doctor to follow, amazing equipment, and to top it off I didn’t leave with my teeth hurting like they normally do after a cleaning. Instead I left with my teeth looking amazing and pain free! The doctor was so kind and down to earth and honest. Fantastic experience: My appointment at Coulter Family Dentistry went extremely well. The staff is so friendly making you feel right at home. My technician Annie Grace is efficient and caring always asking how I’m doing during the cleaning or dental procedure. They are gentle and up to date in all dental procedures. Their newest one to clean teeth is phenomenal. No more scraping it’s kinda like a waterpik. Loved it. The friendly office is courteous and the wait time is minimal. Very efficient in insurance and billing.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience getting two fillings with Dr. Birch and her dental assistant. I have so much dentist anxiety and they made me feel so comfortable and kept checking to make sure I was okay during my procedure. Dr. Birch is not only kind and charismatic, but great at her job!

Fantastic experience: I needed a crown to replace a previous one another dentist did that broke. Coulter Family dentistry made the crown in-office for me on the same day. They let me sit in the world’s fanciest massage chair while I waited. This chair did everything: Swedish, Thai, you name it. The chair was so great I fell asleep. Even better than the world’s best massage chair is the casual professionalism of the staff. They cracked jokes and made me feel like we were BFFs. I had a great time at the dentist (which is probably not a common occurrence). Even better than that, Dr. Birch and Lauren worked on me until the crown was a perfect fit. They worked on the tooth several times until they were satisfied the crown was perfect. Let me tell you, the crown is perfect. The crown is so perfect it made me feel like a king. Thanks Coulter Family Dentistry. I can’t for my next cleaning!

Fantastic experience: I have been using Dr. Coulter for probably 12 years. The entire staff is incredible. Forest is the dental hygienist I use and she is amazing. Just went today for my cleaning and they are using a new method called GBT. You don’t even realize your teeth are being cleaned so I looked it up. It is much more effective than traditional scraping and cleaning. If you have a fear of dentist’s or teeth cleans in general, this is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this place enough. The staff is super friendly while also being professional. You definitely feel seen as a person with individual needs, not just another patient. Doctor Coulter and the hygienists really care about their patients and are great to explain what they are doing. I typically see Forrest and she is so sweet. Another thing I really appreciate about this practice is how clean it is as well as how they do a 3D dental scan. It is more high tech than any other dental office I’ve been to in the past. I’ve seen multiple dentists in Knoxville and now that I’m here I can’t see myself going anywhere else. Fantastic experience: As soon as I entered the office, I was happily greeted and almost instantly taken back to start my cleaning. From the time I sat down to the time I left, Dr. Coulter and his staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and I never felt like I was being rushed through. The office has modern technology and Dr. Coulter answered all of my questions in a way that I was able to understand. I had a private room that had a large TV they used to show my teeth and X-rays, and they had another tv mounted on the ceiling to watch when laying down. I had the opportunity to select what music I wanted to play in the room I was in. All of my forms were electronic so I didn’t have any physical paperwork to fill out, which is a very nice “feature.” I have now been going to Coulter Family Dentistry for more than a year and continue to feel the experience is excellent. Everyone who works here is extremely friendly and I cannot recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. Coulter and his crew since I moved to Knoxville almost 7 years ago. Maintaining a nice smile is so important to me and I was worried that when I moved from CA I wouldn’t be able to find someone I liked and trusted as much as my family dentist back home. I was wrong! From day one Dr. Coulter’s practice has been the absolute best! Leslie, Forrest, and all of the other dental hygienists and front desk staff are fantastic. Dr. Coulter and Dr. Birch are so talented and friendly. They were proactive in noticing changes to my jaw/dentition and referred me to a few specialists who were also so kind and helpful in addressing immediate concerns and preventing any future issues. They are always on time, thorough, and efficient which is helpful for me as a busy person with a full-time job. I’m able to leave work and return to treat my patients within an hour every time I go. I’ve referred countless coworkers and friends to this practice because of how great it is. I can’t say enough wonderful things about everyone at CFD. I am so incredibly grateful to be their patient and for the kindness and care they’ve shown me for so many years.

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extracted yesterday by Dr.Birch, and my experience was amazing! She and her assistant Alex were so kind and gentle with me. My tooth ended up being very difficult to remove, and the entire time Dr.Birch and Alex were calm and cracking jokes. I also want to stress that I did not feel a single thing! They repeatedly made sure I was completely numb, comfortable and calm throughout the entire procedure. Fantastic experience: I refuse to go anywhere else. Coulter’s is always on top of it. Wait times are non-existent, staff is super friendly and always greets me by name, the dentists are very communicative and you can tell they actually enjoy educating their patients on their dental health. I love being able to review X-rays, talk about upcoming concerns, pre-schedule appointments months in advance, etc. I’ve had a lot of work done at coulters (completely redid all of my metal fillings from childhood), and they did a fantastic job.

Fantastic experience: It’s commonly known that Dr. Coulter runs the best dentistry in Knoxville, but I will go as far to say it’s the best in the south. From making an appointment to getting a cleaning or having some extra dental work done, you’ll feel at home and well taken care of. She has incredible bedside manner and made me feel very comfortable. Also the office is so nice and their technology was state of the art.

The minute I entered the office Caroline at the front desk made me feel welcome and relaxed, which isn’t what I would normally say about entering a Dentist’s office! Dr Birch and my hygienist Annie Grace were wonderful and made my cleaning appointment a pleasant and pain fee experience. From the state-of-the-art equipment to the extra amenities like the TV’s mounted over the exam chairs and your choice of music, it’s evident that every consideration for the patients comfort has been made. I recommend everyone I know to Coulter Family Dentistry.

Fantastic experience: This is the A Team. Over the past couple of years Dr. Coulter replaced several amalgam fillings for me and he and his team have always given me exceptional service. They have the latest equipment and technology as well as a clean bright office. But the people are what really make the difference. Everyone is welcoming and treat me like family. They are particular about their schedule but that results in never having to wait. That's a huge benefit to me because I always go during work hours which are valuable to me.

This week I had to have a crown and Dr. Burch and Lauren Oglesby were so professional and at the same time did all they could to keep me comfortable and relaxed for the entire procedure. Fantastic experience: I went to the dentist today, for my own cleaning (aside from my son's visit), for the first time in about 9 years. Coulter's family dentistry absolutely blew me away. Erika did a very thorough job . My teeth are probably the cleanest they've been, stains removed and all. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff. The best dental experience I've ever had. Fantastic experience: Just had some crown work done at Dr Coulter's and am really pleased with the results! I have had crowns, filling, and multiple other procedures and have been very happy with the results. Especially pleased that they made my crown on site. I did not have to wear a temporary crown and come back on a later visit to get the permanent crown. I really appreciate that there is never a lot of pain during the procedures. Last of all I would like to comment on his exceptional staff. So helpful and friendly!

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience today getting a crown done by Dr. Coulter. I know a crown is not exactly fun, but this was a good as experience as possible. Complete crown done in one session. No temporary crown and then come back in a couple of weeks. Amazing technology!!! Really nice staff too.
