Fantastic experience: East Valley Perio is absolutely the finest team you can find to take care of your gum health. This is not a normal dental office. They actually treat you with friendliness and are very efficient with your time. They are surprisingly skilled, and got my troubled mouth right on track. They can set you up with just about anything your mouth needs. The experience in this office is like no other. I know I am in the hands of very caring and concerned people. You can really tell that every person who works there loves what they do, and they love you, too! I wish everyone in need of a periodontist knew about them. These are the people you want to go to.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. I booked appt. A month ago. They called and cancelled and rescheduled. Now 1 day before appt. Said my insurance won't work. Get your shit together. You said my insurance was fine a month ago

Negative experience: Had an infected tooth and was told I could not get a prescription for the antibiotic unless I signed up for a ~$4k surgery. I was told I would have to see my primary dentist if I needed help. Will never go back and found a better surgeon for half the price. Stay away from these extortionists.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Richard's examined every tooth to establish if any gums might need attention. I saw him to address two areas that were painful in my gums. He gave me some helpful information to help the situation. He, also, prescribed a medication to use temporarily until I see him again in two lweeks to see if the areas are better. I really felt that everyone in his office was friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. I would highly recommend East Valley Periodontics as a great place to get your dental needs met.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time at East Valley Periodontics. Elizabeth had a friendly greating as the receptionist. She thanked me for filling out my information before my visit. Kailey was Dr. Richards assistant. Kailey was friendly and thorough in processing me for Dr. Richardson. Dr. Richardson was easy to talk to and he did a thorough job explaining my situation. I liked that he was taking a conservative approach.

Fantastic experience: Dr Nelson is awesome! He did a great job graphting both sides of my gums. Today I was cleared! Also, he found lesion on my tongue that got removed before it could have been bad! I believe because of him it was dealt with timely not to form into full blown cancer that could have metasticized! It's important you check tongue. Cheek and oral cavities! Staff is always pleasant to deal with.

Fantastic experience: I had my teeth cleaned recently by Amy today, and had to bring my 6yr old daughter along with me. Amy was great, she had a chair set aside just for my daughter to sit in the room with me. She engaged in my daughter’s curiosity and explained what things were and what she was doing (as routine cleanings for children are a little bit different than the adult instruments and procedures.) Amy did a fabulous job and praised me for my improvement in my home care. She’s a wonderful hygienist and I look forward to seeing her again next time!

Fantastic experience: It was incredibly traumatic to go through tooth decay and lose a tooth at a young age—especially because it all started with a bad crown. But I’m so grateful I found Dr. Richards. From the beginning, he made me feel completely at ease. He was kind, gentle, and explained everything in a way that made me feel confident and comfortable. I have to say—he gave the best shot I’ve ever had. I didn’t feel a thing! The entire implant process was smooth and painless, and now my tooth looks and feels better than ever. Dr. Richards did an excellent job. I can’t thank him enough.

After a failed gum graft with another periodontist, I was devastated to learn I was losing cadaver bone and felt completely hopeless. From the moment I walked into Dr. Richard’s office, everything changed. He took the time to thoroughly assess my situation, troubleshoot every concern, and come up with a thoughtful, strategic plan to save my graft and protect my oral health. Not only did he help solve a complicated issue, but he also completely cured my dental anxiety. I had been traumatized by my previous experience, but Dr. Richard’s personable, calm, confident, and compassionate care put me at ease right away. His team is equally amazing—friendly, efficient, and genuinely caring. I would recommend Dr. Richard’s over and over again. He gave me back both my health and peace of mind, and I’m beyond grateful!

Also lots of (probably very happy) patients in the waiting room of the smoothly run office. Dr Nelson is knowledgeable and personable, I felt that his opinions were open and honest. If I didn’t already have a longstanding dental provider, I would choose Dr Nelson in a heartbeat
