Negative experience: I couldn't understand the Dentist she talked to the technician not to me.Wanted to do unnecessary Crowns and told me my jaw bone had detoriated and would not guarantee that the crowns would stay in place. I went to another dental practice for a 2nd opinion and my jaw bone is fine and I only need 1 crown not 5 or 6. Which would have cost $$$$$$$.

But hopefully they'll figure it out. My surgeon, and her assistant. And the young lady who was scanning my mouth and making my implants while I'm waiting comfortably in my chair. By the way. Fantastic experience: Surprise Root canal performed Tuesday, so happy to have that over and done. JR dental quickly made me an appointment and took care of the problem. Teeth Cleaning on Tuesday, my hygienist Mohammed is wonderful. So gentle and thorough. This is a wonderful Dental practice so kind, caring and professional. Best Dental practice I have ever dealt with and I'm 73!!

Fantastic experience: I love this place. This is coming from someone who has a phobia of the dentist. They have helped me thru panic attacks when I first started going there. Now it's too the point where I no longer have them (well they're very minor now). I even trusted them to remove all 4 of my wisdom teeth. Negative experience: The office ladies especially but everyone I’ve met here have been extremely friendly. Something changed recently I think they lost a doctor so the current dentists are overwhelmed… had an apt this morning at 8am when they first open. Waited until 830 so I left since personally I feel that was more than enough time to wait (especially when arriving 30min late would not be acceptable to them). Maybe I could get a better explanation on how you can get that far behind as soon as you open? Rescheduled for another day so I’ll update this review after that. There’s an annoying text you get after every appointment asking for a review so that’s what I did… *Update Dentist blamed the delays on an assistant not showing that day… but he didn’t need an assistant for my apt so doesn't make a lot of sense. If you lead a busy life and value your time unfortunately might be wise to go elsewhere because here they may not value your time as much as your money.

Fantastic experience: Went to San Jose office twice...for full extraction...awaiting dentures. Totally i had 19 teeth extracted by Oral Surgeon...Dr. Vera. He is extremely proficient...excellent, indeed....i had no complications either time...pain was minimal...and i am so glad to have had this part completed. Im getting my dentures at JR Dental as well.

Negative experience: They will put in crowns that aren’t correct. After spending almost $4,000 for 3 crowns that took almost 2.5 months, I had to go to a different dentist to get them right. I had to go back twice because the crowns were not correct and the last time I kept telling them that the bite was not right. The dentist was obviously concerned about getting to other patients.i kept trying to say that my bite wasn’t right and I was told that I was wrong and they went ahead and cemented the crown in anyway. When I left, I went straight to another Dentist and had to have them correct it. This place is NOT where you want to go!!!! Also, it looks like they have some sort of response on every negative review where they are trying to say that every patient is wrong somehow. Let’s see how I’m wrong with this review which is 100% the truth. The fact that they respond the way that they do should tell you everything you need to know.

Fantastic experience: Out off 5 stars, I score JR Dental on Normandy in Jax a solid 6, maybe even 7! Quite possibly one of the most friendliest, competent, and professional dentist office I've ever visited for service. From the moment you enter the office, all staff treat you like long lost family, which makes you feel instantly relaxed and comfortable. I highly recommend them if you need dentures or other dental services.

I especially want to praise Dr. Hoffeh and his assistant Jose. Wow, he made a very difficult extraction, almost enjoyable, though excruciating be painful. From his music in the background to his explaining every detail ensuring understanding and comfort, it provided me an ease that transcends “the dental chair” for this, I am so grateful. And, thank you to his additional personal set of postoperative instructions which helped to ease the very painful first day. There are So many other individuals in that office that were just special like Lanasha, Elsa, Fabiola, and others whose name I did not get. Please know that it is a busy office and it almost looks like Grand Central station sometimes, but together that team is EXTRAORDINARY!!!. Fantastic experience: Ive been going to Normandy location for a few years and I've had nothing but great service. I was seeing Dr.Hannah but she has since been home with her baby and I seen Dr. Gonzalez and she is great. I went today with intended of getting cleaning and exam and I didnt get my cleaning as I have to come back to do deep cleaning and I am fine with that. I have some fillings I will be doing on another visit and then onto some partials. So today I seen whole different staff then I was seeing. Everyone was extremely kind and friendly and explained my case plan to me. We had some laughs and this is what I enjoy as I have major dental fear and it made me feel better about everything. The cost of most the stuff with insurance help was good. Except the partial plates are extremely pricey. This is the only thing I am concerned with is the price of those Partials. Other then that, 5 stars across the board.

Fantastic experience: Dr gonzalez and ms bee were a great team. They were relaxed, which made me feel relaxed. They told me what they were doing as much as poosible which made me feel great. Any discomfort the dentist stopped and injected more novocaine. I had a crown and removal of decay on 2 different teeth. Also my bill was setup on a payment plan. Thanks

I am now going to JR Dental with a VA referral so it is covered by the VA and I get to keep my great dentist.❤️

Negative experience: JR dental is under new management and the service decreased. We had a 10:15 AM appointment and we weren't seeing until 11:15 AM after multiple requests were made. The new receptionist is not friendly and she needs to be more approachable.

I have been going to the Normandy office for many years..The staff are caring and never disappoint. Definitely try them especially if you are not happy with your current dentist office or haven't been to a dentist in a while.

Positive experience: The office is small but not uncomfortable. They tend to use older equipment. Which means if you are older, not comfortable. They tend to speak using a foreign language. Which if you are nervous about dental care and pain. This certainly isn’t helpful. You never really know what is happening due to the lack of information when performing a procedure. I’m happy they were available due to lack of insurance. There is no discounts for military service period. They are what I would consider a reasonable choice if you have no insurance. Otherwise if you have a choice consider other options. God bless them for their ability to accept anyone. Just disappointing to know that as a veteran I have to choose between my language and another one. Overall the work they did will tell me the quality of the work. I will hire a lawyer if they did not fulfill their duties as a professional service. If they charge over 1400 for one capped tooth then it should last my lifetime.

Negative experience: Worst dentist in Jacksonville! Have had nothing but issues with the work this barbarian of a dentist performed. Would give 0 stars if it were possible. Had a partial crown and a crown done here that I am now having to have redone at a real dental office. 0 stars is not low enough for the terrible service and technical expertise at the Normandy Blvd location.

Negative experience: I just realized after reading the reviews how many unhappy patients are with JR Dental. Must be the new, permanent dentist on Argyle location that doesn’t listen to his patients and only insists his own thoughts. Never a good relationship between a patient and the dentist. They make you wait as if our time is not important and theirs is.

Fantastic experience: The Argyle location was a really calm and helpful experience (I HATE DENTIST). It was just my first visit to them but I feel like it will be a good place to stay.

Fantastic experience: I came to JR Dental after moving. Even in COVID-19, they have been very accommodating and helpful. Their practice does very well with cleanings and offers everything you may need in a local dentist.

Negative experience: I have been with JR DENTAL for 10 years or better and I must say every experience has been wonderful which made me bring my whole family but here recently hasn't been the case my daughter who is 11 has to have braces and the price JR DENTAL is charging with insurance is RIDICULOUS!!! NOT FAR FROM 8K this number makes no sense being she is only 11 and she has No teeth crowding they would only be to eliminate some spaces and pull her teeth all together so need less to say I am the look out for another DENTIST

Negative experience: I've got to say this was my 1st positive experience with a dentist office. Every single person was kind and compassionate. I look forward to my journey of a new smile. UPDATE: June 14, 2025 This experience has taught me that 1st impressions can often times be misleading. I would say, as of this point, my experience as a whole, has been less than satisfactory. Please go to this business with eyes wide open knowing you represent nothing more than a dollar sign. At least that was my feeling I can NOT knowingly encourage anyone to experience what I experienced. And sadly I'm not done yet.

Love my hygienist, Lily, she tells every step she’s taking, is very thorough and kind, but will let you know if you need to step up your daily flossing and brushing routine. I met Dr. Gonzales who reviewed my chart and mouth after the cleaning, and luckily no problems were found. I arrived in Jacksonville in 2023, and so happy I found JR Dental. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: JAX Multispecialty Dental Center; The care and treatment here is great, but I wish I could say the same about their insurance and billing departments. They do not know how to file claims properly with the insurance companies and will quickly tell you that whatever you need is not covered or not in network and make you pay out of pocket without actually checking or confirming anything through your insurer. They are greedy and will do anything and say anything to take your money for something that is actually covered and in network. Do your homework with your insurance provider and make this dentist office actually file your claim or file for pre determination for care.

Fantastic experience: Really like this practice. I use them for all my dental needs, including aligners. One star less is due to the lack of a reminder text in a timely manner. A text reminder the day before (and not the day of, right before the 8am appointment) would be helpful. The other parts of the practice are really good about sending reminders. Just this office seems to lack that facility. Otherwise, all good. Update: the reminder text issue has been resolved it seems. Thank-you for all the timely texts. Just had a new crown put in today. Relatively painless and no after effects. Appreciate all the professionals on this team.

Negative experience: I have been going to them for years. And today was the worst visit I have ever had. I left. It was just that simple. I called to complain and was told that they can do a regular cleaning on me. So, it doesn't matter what I want done. They are making decisions for me. Not going to work for me. They have gotten too big for their britches.

Negative experience: They did the wrong tooth. Fron x rays they could see there was no decay.they removed my crown. By the time i realized it . It was half out. All they did is replace the new crown i had 800.00 my insurance would not pay them

Fantastic experience: JR dental has a very pleasant and welcoming team that takes care of you in a timely manner and of course with beautiful smiles on their faces. Dr. Farag has an excellent chair side manner and listens with a compassionate ear. It’s nice to have a Dr. look you in the eyes and actually listens to what you are saying and helps you to make the best decisions for your dental as well as your financial needs without any judgement. He has a great personality and sense of humor, he will keep you informed every step of the way so you know what to expect and that is important if you are a nervous patient. I am happy to be a new patient there and would highly recommend them.

Negative experience: Rose is the best dental hygienist I ever had One of the reason we do love it here at J R Dental. 2/19/25 had a bad experience with their front desk receptionist named Marisol. First off, she changed our appointment. It is clearly written on the card they given us that our appointment is at 3 and 4 pm for me and my wife. She moved my wife appointment to 2 pm without even notifying us. She also needs to work on her attitude. She represent JR Dental and her being the first person to dealt with gives a bad impression on the whole office. We've been with this clinic for years now, and people with bad attitude like her might push us to look for new dentists. But like I said on my review few years ago, Rose is one of the reason we are still here. 4/17/25 this is it. last straw. worst service for sure. I a scheduled today to have a root canal, I've been in pain for several weeks. Dr Rondon was not able to do it 2 weeks ago, she said I need to finish the antibiotics and scheduled me today. I showed up, guess what, they can't do it today and they are trying to reschedule it again. They should have told me weeks ago that they can't do it, and I could have gone to another dentist. They let me suffer. Let that sink in. It is okay for them to have their patients suffer in pain.

Fantastic experience: I was greeted walking through front door. It wasn't long after my name was called. The person that worked on me was very polite. And helpful also made sure I had my next appointment.

Fantastic experience: The quality of service was stunning. It was my first visit however, I felt super comfortable with it all. It was at the 7101 Normandy location.

Negative experience: This place is ridiculous. I went to the San Jose office. First they drilled one of my tooth I DID NOT consent to. And then they submitted 2 duplicate claims to my insurance, one bounced back and half of the other one actually slipped through.They pocketed the money and put the items they already claimed on my statement, I have all the EOBs showing what they submit from my insurance, somehow they SO confidently said "I DIDN'T SUBMIT ANYTHING WE DIDN'T DO ON THAT DAY". Go look at your records before you speak over people! When confronted, Stephanie the receptionist tend to think speaking over people makes her right. Denied that I explicitly and repeatedly said I wanted 8 teeth done, not 9. She even told her colleague "She can say whatever she wants, she already paid, I don't care." (I paid because I was told it was an ESTIMATE and I will get my refund. It's not a deposit for them to add procedure I did not consent to while I was numb, saw nothing, and felt nothing.) I felt so violated and stupid to picked this place because some of their staff are actually super nice while Stephenie- who's responsible for handling all your claims and consents, made mistakes over and over again and denied it all.

Fantastic experience: I received services for a root canal performed by Dr. Deason, he is marvelous and will answer and questions you have, make sure your comfortable and DONT FEEL any sensitivity/pain during the procedure. I recommend him if you’re seeking a root canal specialist. He also started on time and engages with his patients.

Fantastic experience: Today I visited JR Dental Care at 7101 Normandy Blvd. All the employees were so pleasant and professional. I love this place and staff. The building was so clean and smell so refreshing. Everyone treated me like I was the President. I highly recommend this Dentist to anyone who need dental work. I had no favorite employee because every employee I encountered was the best employee to me. The service and concerns for the patients was above my expectations. Fantastic experience: The dentist and staff are very friendly. I really have a good experience in JR dental normandy. They are really good. I have an appointment for deep cleaning and tooth filling. When I am there for the deep cleaning, they inform me right away that there is available slot for the tooth filling to save time. All staff are very helpful. They also have some payment plan which is very helpful.

Fantastic experience: As always, outstanding overall service on everything from routine exams, cleanings, and procedures. Friendly, professional hygienist and dentist I encountered today on 3/26/2025. I never had any problems or complaints and have been their patient for close to 3 years now.

Negative experience: As a new patient I called and made an appointment for cleaning and exam with JR dental. When i got there they told me i could not get them cleaned. They only do x rays and dr exam and i would have to make another appt for the cleaning. I was not told this on the phone. My husband is ill and I had to hire someone to be with him while i was gone. They have no regard for anyone else's time. No dentist I've ever gone to has this type of scheduling. My last dental cleaning and check up .was 6 mos ago I do not recommend them for anything. Fantastic experience: I am one of those people who is terrified of dentists so had been putting off going even though I needed to. This was probably my most pleasant experience at a dentist that I have ever had. Great and very nice office staff, well run practice. Everyione I dealt with was very nice, were very thorough, took the time to answwr all of my questions and concerns and helped me lay out a treatment plan that would work for me. I highly rec okent this practise.

Negative experience: I have been going to jr dental as far back as 2010 that I can remember I was told to go by family member for the past years not 1 issue at all but let's fast fwd to 2024 they changed the lady at the front desk at the mandarin office and I've had nothing but problems since to the point we're I was looking for a new dentist. I had a bad tooth ache and went bck to keep from doing new patient intake so I gets my bill I ask why is it so high and she told me to call my insurance if I over paid they would kick the money back so I did and then I started getting bills for weeks could not figure out what the issue was I did and after 2 almost 3 hours on phone I figured it out called and notified them about it everyone was nice and polite then was told that they would pass the info to the office we're I was served and I would get a call. So I get call and try to explain to the lady everything that had happened and what I found out and she then went off the deep end "I TOLD YOU IN DECEMBER WHAT THE ORDER IS FOR AND WHAT YOU WILL PAY IN NOT GOING TO GO BACK AND FORTH WITH YOU" I said your not letting me explain why and everything that happened today she said something else and I just hung the phone up and called the main office and asked to speak to Manger cause I was beyond upset that she figured or thought it was a good idea to not only talk to me as a child but belittle me at the same time I will never go to the mandarin office if she continues to run front desk the last lady was very nice and sweet but this new watch out for her she has not 1 problem solving skills I'm just as aggravated with the situation as anyone else cause I'm paying 500 for a pulled tooth is insane

Fantastic experience: I had not been to a dentist in over 6 years. Fear! Lol. Today was a game changer. I so enjoyed my appointment. Maria and Dr Nyeugn were the best. They listen, are patient, kind and very professional. No over selling. Only what I needed! Love that! JR dental Definitely has become my dental spot.

Fantastic experience: My semi-annual check up and cleaning. My dental technician is ALWAYS accommodating, professional and knowledgeable about anything related to my dental hygiene and care. The Doctor is too as well. Very quick and efficient ALWAYS! Love them peeps. 20+ years!

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful visit with my Dentist today w/ Doctor Farag he replaced the new Crown on my teeth, and he’s very nice and polite I will say he is a good dentist. and Nadia the dental assistant is also very kind and the front staff in desk always great you w/ wonderful smile.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service. Dr. Farag made me feel super comfortable. I got my dental work done while listening to reggae music I felt relaxed because I was super nervous. The most important thing was that he explained the entire procedure to me step by step. It was quick and painless.

Negative experience: I had been a loyal patient for years and I have witnessed the decline of JR Dental. From an atmosphere of excellent customer service to rudeness. From integrity to inconsistency with prices for services. This is editted version on the many unprofessional behaviors that I witnessed. My most recent experiences led to it being my last . Honestly, I should have decided to take my loyalty and finances to another dental practice years ago when it became difficult to referring this practice. I have finally got it...dont do business with people that with a clear conscious you can't refer their services. Especially when it has to be done with a lot of warnings and disclaimers.

Fantastic experience: I had to get a tooth extraction. My experience was amazing! I was so nervous but Dr. Farag was friendly and informative. He made the whole experience easy. I would definitely recommend going here.

Fantastic experience: I was very skeptical about changing my Dentist, but I am very grateful that I did. I visited the Argyle location and Dr. Vishara's and Monse were both very nice, patient, informative, friendly and professional. I felt so comfortable and peaceful. I love how they made me apart of my care plan and stopped to listen to my concerns. I'm thinking about transferring my entire family to this location.

Fantastic experience: Great place for dentist work and very friendly staff there very fast and efficient and it doesn’t take long. Come to your appointment at least 10 minutes early and they get you in and out even with there being alot of patients they still try there best to get your appointment done quickly

Negative experience: I understood the time delay when I was worked in for an emergency call but when I went back for the procedure I waited over 45 minutes. I thought it was a fluke but when I went back today to a regular exam my appointment time still wasn’t met. They text, email, and call a billion times to confirm the appointments but don’t bother to actually keep the appointment time. It’s actually really sad because the male dentist there is amazing and puts people at ease but I can’t deal with appointment times not being kept. My time is just as important as theirs. I rescheduled because I like the dentist but honestly not sure if I will be going back after today.
