Negative experience: The cleaning I had today was great, but Dr Tyler Pittman had a consultation with me after the cleaning and he was very unprofessional!!!!! I seriously doubt I will come back to this dentistry again because of his actions. I don’t thank he needs to be in this profession, he is not a people person at all !! I would not recommend anyone for this office. He is too arrogant for me.

It became immediately apparent during my first visit that Dr. Dinwiddie is the most gentle dentist I have ever experienced. I am very comfortable in a dentist chair and usually at ease for the visit no matter what work is being done. The hygenist staff is equally professional and delicate, thorough, and equipped to provide outstanding oral care. I have had major work done many years ago which has stood the test of time and remains evidence of quality dentistry. Blountville Associates, has the skill and technology to replicate this kind of service and quality care. I highly recommend them.

The assistants and the dentist were great about explaining everything I need. I plan on making Blountville Dental my permanent dentist.

Fantastic experience: My experience was off the charts! They worked me in I had an abcess while on vacation. Had taken antibiotics but was still in pain. So to make a long story short, they worked me in, gave me some more antibiotics ( because I still have the abcess) gave me several options I could do, they weren’t pushy at all. The office staff was very friendly, helpful, abd very knowledgeable! The dentist was fabulous very kind, caring, extremely knowledgeable, but the main concern was me! The dental assistant couldn’t have been any better so kind, understanding that I was in is pain and confused about treatments ( after all it’s one of my front teeth lol) they were patient and explained each process throughly answered each question I had made me feel at ease! This will be my forever dentist office! If you are looking for one look no further you won’t regret it !

Fantastic experience: I had Doctor Pittman replace a broken crown this week. It was absolutely painless. I was concerned that I would have to replace 2 mouth night guards I use. They took care to see to it that was not necessary. My old guards fit perfectly, and the new crown is a perfect match. It is exactly the same as the crown that I broke, but even better as the crown material is stronger and very smooth. Thank you so much for the amazing work. I definitely give them my highest recommendation. I just love the work.

Positive experience: The staff is friendly and my hygienist is great! I did have to wait for the dentist for a few minutes, but it wasn’t too long. I personally don’t like using the iPad for my forms at check in, but it’s no big deal.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Pitman‘s office for the last three years. The first time that I saw him, he pulled a tooth that I couldn’t get anyone else to pull. Everywhere I called they they didn’t do insurance. They didn’t pull teeth. They don’t do caps or crowns that they didn’t do anything you had to go to 10 different dentist to get your teeth taken care of Dr. Pitman‘s office. Take care of everything. They are so efficient and they have treated me so good I love them the whole staff they’re wonderful! We’re so blessed to have them in our community.

Fantastic experience: I went in today for an emergency extraction. The staff was all so kind and compassionate. I have every intention of returning to this practice, and will recommend them to anyone in the area who needs dental care!

Positive experience: I cannot give a 5 star review until Ii have completed this process. I looked hard for a good dentist I felt I could trust. I have had too many dental disappointments in the past decade. Dr. Pittman is very personable and seems sincere wanting to do a good job for me. There are some issues however . I am in the middle of getting a partial to replace 6 teeth directly in front on top. An extremely important part of anyone’s appearance. I have a photo of my smile of 10 years ago, I have been assured that will be my smile again or something very close to it.. I would love to be able to post before and after pics here but I see no provision for that. I am trying to trust the process and trying to be patient. It is only the second week since my oral surgery and installation of my partial temporary plate. The teeth appear too small, crooked, and very uneven on the right side. Last week after my first follow up visit after surgery, I noticed a small chip at the base of a tooth. (The partial had been adjusted during that visit with a drill. I made it clear, or maybe not, I did not want the smile I currently had as it was affected by the missing teeth on top. That is the reason I took in a photo of what I expected to be my smile again. I had a copy of that photo put in my file so the lab would know what to achieve in my temporary partial. I do not believe that photo was sent to the lab at all. Mt partial looks nothing like what I requested. To make matters worse, the dentist has tried to convince me that what I was initially told would be a temporary or healing set is actually my finished set. I guess I did not get it in writing, but my husband was present at those consultations and he can verify I am to get another set.as my permanents. I only would agree to approve this temp set if it met my specifications and I was completely happy with it. So far I am not. I never signed a release stating I am satisfied with the set I received. I will not sign anything until I am satisfied. Right now that time seems to be after I receive the permanent partial I was told I would receive, It could be and probably is that permanent partial plate was not figured in to the estimate we, the Dentist, my husband and I, agreed on. I do absolutely believe Dr Pittman has good intentions. I will believe and trust until I see otherwise after my process is completed. I WILL return here and update this review along this journey. I believe I made a good decision to work with Dr Pittman above all Dentists I interviewed. There were quite a few. I believe he has the knowledge, the skills and very importantly , the business connections to help me attain the smile I desire. Please do come back here to follow my journey. I really want to be able to give this business 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Pittman excellent dentist... was referred by a friend, my tooth was broke in half, couldn't be saved with root canal, but Dr. Pittman was completely honest with me and gave my option... I appreciated his total honesty and professionalism along with excellent experience... I can't say enough good things about dentist and staff... Today was my first visit (emergency appointment) I've made my future appointment and found an excellent dentist/staff... highly recommended...

Negative experience: I am a Veteran and the VA sent me to Blountville Dental associates for Community care. I was sent with authorization for a filling and relining of my dentures. After a 20 minute lecture on the difference between lab relining and in office relining I told the assistant enough talking at least get the filling started. The filling went well, but when I asked about the relining Dr. Dimwit said that she didn't think I needed a relining and she was not going to do it on VA benefits... The Dentist did not talk to me, but relayed the conversation through her assistant. The last I received, was to go somewhere else for my relining ! I am still needing my dentures relined and disappointed over all with the outcome of this visit.

Fantastic experience: Called and they had me an appointment the next day for an unexpected tooth extraction. They were upfront on the costs BEFORE they done any work so that there were no surprises in billing.
