Negative experience: By far the worst dentist you can go to!! I do not recommend!! from the lady’s who answer the phones down to the dentist. Good luck getting someone to answer the phone and when you do they put you on hold for one time almost a half hour until I hung up. Don’t leave a message they won’t call back. And Before you let them drill your teeth make sure you actually have cavities they drilled my teeth left me in pain for a month not getting my bite correct thank god I went to a different dentist who fixed it who also told me I do not have any cavities I almost let them drill more of my teeth. So upset I never had any work on my teeth and now I have work done I didn’t even need so they could make money.

Negative experience: My son had a dentist appointment at 9:30 and when we showed up the office was under construction and they were closed. Even though they had sent out confirmations not only were they closed, they didn’t bother to reach out to any of the patients. I had taken the morning off work This is the second time this practice has messed with my time. I went in for a teeth cleaning and sat there for over an hour only for the office tell me they needed to talk with my insurance and they would call me later that day. I had called my insurance just that morning to make sure that I had coverage for cleaning and I did. They never bothered to call me back. These people have lost my business. Even though the office staff is great having my time repeatedly wasted is not OK. I do not recommend this Dentist at all.

Negative experience: I showed up today and I had the confirmation on my phone for the appointment for deep cleaning today and they have recently sent SMS message on my phone asking for pre check in! I tried to pre check-in then it wasn't showing any appointment under my name for this day. I went to the front desk lady and told her that I have appointment at 2 PM upon checking she claims that they called me yesterday to inform me that they are still waiting for the approval for my deep cleaning, Ok. I haven't received any missed call and they claimed that they left a voice mail but there is no such a thing! I said alright i went to call my insurance company to check with them I was told that these people never filed a claim to the insurance company! They did this to my wife too, they claim that they are waiting for the approval but they never filed the claim in the first place! SHAME

Negative experience: The receptionist here can be extremely rude at times. I called to ask them if they can appeal a denial letter from my insurance company on my behalf and she said we dont do that and tried to argue with me. Which is pretty funny because according to google and my insurance company your dental office can file an appeal on your behalf. It actually makes more to me to have you guys do it since youre the professionals and have all my history and X-rays.

Negative experience: This place is a "meh". I used to go to a hygienist there and she was very nice, then she left and my next appt, I came in the office and they told me my insurance would not cover the visit. Then why didn't you call me sooner?? They act like people have no lives and can just take off work on a whim. It's also hard to get a hold of somebody even though there are always more than 2 people up front. I used to work in much busier dental office and we always called people back and would pick up the phone!

Fantastic experience: I had to get a tooth pulled, and they got me right in, and took good care of me. Thanks again for everything I didn’t feel anything, and a week later I am back to my normal self.

Negative experience: This is the worst dentist i have ever been to. This week i was scheduled to see them and they claimed they called to reschedule. I went back for my rescheduled appointment to be told I had to reschedule again. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Positive experience: The appointment scheduling is terrible I shouldn't have to wait four and five months to get an appointment!!!! But the staff is good. And they do good work

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff and the dentist took time explaining what needs to be done. Then provided me with a chart . Second appointment took impressions. Third Appointment did the extractions and fitted with same-day dentures. All this was done in less than six weeks. I’m very pleased with all there work!

Negative experience: If I could rate them a zero I would. Had appointments booked for both of my daughters at 3 and 4 pm. We got them out of school early and proceeded to their appointments. Upon arrival the office staff informed us that they “tried to call.” They had not in fact tried either of our numbers provided… We were spoken down to. At one point the woman even slowed her speech down as if I was having a hard time understanding. These appointments were booked for over 6 weeks. If they didn’t have proper staffing the calls should have been made and messages left. Neither thing took place and somehow I was the one not understanding…? Your office staff is completely inept and rude. Do better so as not to waste people’s time. This woman actually had the audacity to ask if we wanted to reschedule… Absolutely not. Do yourself a favor and find office staff who actually do their job and know how to speak to the public.

Negative experience: Made an EMERGENCY appointment because I was/am in so much pain that I can’t eat or barely get any sleep just to get up for an appointment at 8am this morning thinking theyll pull the tooth that’s causing me the most pain, only to get an X-ray and be told they can’t do anything but refer me to a dentist that’s booked til April.! Didn’t give any meds for pain! The X-ray equipment the lady used had bite marks from other patients and when I asked why she didn’t replace it with a new one she said they clean them. Idk how they have such a high score definitely a 0 star! Waste of time

Positive experience: Staff was very kind and understanding. as a patient who has neglected my dental health in the past due to anxiety with dentists, my experience here was great. I took ages to fill out my paperwork because of how bad my hands were shaking but I never once felt rushed.

Fantastic experience: Today I got my teeth whiten. Great experience only thing I wish they would’ve done was took a picture before hand & gave me step by step of the process I had to ask questions. For instance, how many sessions was it, which was 4 15 min each (my teeth became sensitive 4th session thankfully it was the last one) do I get take home kit, side effects, things like that but over all I love my results.

Negative experience: I don't never greet me when I'm enter the front desk to sign in. The dental and dental assistant never ask if there anything going on concerning about my teeth. And they don't address the issue. They need some improvement.

Fantastic experience: Dental Care Of Michigan in Garden City Is the best dentist I've ever been to, to have work done on my teeth,let alone my front teeth the most important teeth to a lady's smile. Dental Care Of Michigan saved my 2 upper incisors from extraction and or a root canal. Dr.Shainia done a wonderful, splendid, and, perfect job. To be honest I made an appointment last year in the summer months I got scared and cancelled jeopardizing the loss of my incisors.As I was watching my front teeth I noticed that they were getting very bad so I made another appointment and am very happy and pleased I did with, Dental Care of Michigan in Garden City, Michigan. Yes I highly recommend Dr.Shainia and his practice, Dental Care Of Michigan to my family members and all my friends and anyone who reads this comment. Dr. Shainia is genuinely genuine, his care for his patient's shines so I scheduled my next full exam this way I make sure all my teeth are in great condition. Also, the staff are very, ,professional, kind and caring. Trust me when I say if I didn't feel comfortable on my first visit there wouldn't have been a second; I would've found another dentist until I felt at comfortable and at ease but there was no need because Dental Care Of Michigan put me at ease on my first consultation visit. Dental Care Of Michigan is going to be my place for any and all my dental care needs for the care of my teeth . I would like to thank Dr. Shainia for his experience, excellence, professionalism, and, perfect work done on my upper two incisors and upper left K9 tooth . Dr. Shainia saved my incisors from being extracted and or having a root canal, and filled my K9 tooth. Our teeth are very important for us. Positive experience: I went in as a new patient. I guess they had me under as an emergency patient appointment. They did xrays told I had cavities but didn’t do anything to treat/take care of them. I’m in a lot of pain, the doctor didn’t even say he was the doctor before he came in he just asked me to open my mouth and said nothing. Was kind of rushy. I left with zero work done. It’s now nearly 3am I’m in intense pain waiting on an appointment that isn’t until 2/10/25. The staff and everyone else is amazing and nice but I left in pain. And an appointment nearly a month out. I just feel like they triple book times and dr came in late so I didn’t get the time I deserved.

Negative experience: The office staff started off nice but is not ending well it has been going down hill little by little always someone new at the desk. The office staff needs to focus more on answering the phones and returning calls also making sure that the insurance information is correct and passed on to the patients than gossiping and talking with the patients. Don't get me wrong it is ok to have small talk but more than often I have witness too much conversation than working. When the focus should be more on during their JOBS. Because if they where doing their jobs I should not had to call my insurance company on December 8th to find out that my coverage for my crown expired on November 9th and I had a appointment to get my crown done on December 8th which was on the books for weeks and after discussing my situation to the office manager Samantha. So my appointment did not happen and after I have been dealing with pain this back and forth for one tooth for over a year is just RIDICULOUS.

Fantastic experience: I had extremely terrible jaw pain from a broken tooth. They took me in as a new patient, and pulled the tooth right away. My last dentist would have dragged it out in 3-4 appointments but dental care of Michigan got straight to the point. So very grateful for everyone there!

Fantastic experience: Had a rotten tooth needed to be removed. The Dentist was able to remove the piece that was rotten got it out. Did not take very long. Well done the staff was awesome, the whole experience was Fantastic. Yes I will use again. Thanks again for doing a excellent job.

Negative experience: Dentist Dr. Patel, seen me and gave me a referral to see a specialist to get my wisdom tooth pull, she prescribed me pain medicine, so my pharmacist did not get it. So I call up there and one of their receptionist told me to take ibuprofen, I told her I don't take ibuprofen I'm a kidney patient, so I went back up there to ask why I didn't get the pain medicine, receptionist went in her office and closed the door, and the dentist came out and told me that she don't have license to give out pain medicine. Very poor service and I hope she didn't lie to me for her receptionist.

Negative experience: Just to inform everyone of where their five-star reviews may be coming from. I am not impressed with their professionalism. You only have a ten-minute window to arrive late for your appointment, but they have no problems making you wait two-plus hours to be seen for a cleaning. The reception staff just stood around talking and didn’t seem to be doing anything. I would not go to this dentist if you value your time or want legit five-star reviews.

Positive experience: Dentist fixed my filling but there was an hour sitting in the chair. When I went to check out the receptionist informed me that I have gum disease. I asked her don’t you think the dentist should have told me that. It was definitely an experience SMH

Fantastic experience: Friendly, fast in and out. Not as satisfied with the quality of the dentures. One thousand dollars for a set of teeth that I can't even wear because they don't fit and each time I went back to have them adjusted the prostodontist insisted they were fine and squirts a bunch of denture adhesive on them. Praying this time ( they broke) they remake them correctly. They still not right Finally right..

Negative experience: I called almost two weeks ago to schedule an emergency appointment due to my filling had chip and I have a hole in my tooth so eating and drinking really hurts going on my open area of my tooth . I get to my appointment today 7/23/24 and they did an X-ray and said we gonna schedule you another appointment to fix the problem. The next available appointment is in September. What was the point of my emergency appointment if they wasn't going to fix it. I will never go back there again. Thanks for nothing. No stars for me.

Fantastic experience: The most caring dentist and staff. Dr. Saif Shounia is truly compassionate about his patients and addresses any concerns they have before any dental work is done . And his office staff is just as dedicated .

Negative experience: Little joke with the grace period they have a 10min grace period got 12mins what will 2 mins going to change? Had to leave nothing was done just a waste of time nobody was there just a inconvenience and inconsiderate people trying not to help

Positive experience: Again they want a review, again he went and was not seen, I have left three messages and have gotten no call back over the last 7 days. I think I will contact Help Me Hank at the news and maybe he can get a call back for me.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this dentist office to any friends/family. The cleaning itself with the hygienist was fine. But the dentist told me I had 13 cavities. I was shocked and told him that he said well a lot of people have it a lot worse. Shortly after this I lost my dental insurance with meant finding a new dentist in network. I went in for a cleaning and exam and was told I have zero cavities. Dental care of Michigan garden city is unethical and is okay with scamming patients into procedures that are not needed.

Fantastic experience: I HAD A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR MY FIRST TIME THERE EVERYONE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND LOOK FORWARD TO GOING ON MY NEXT APPOINTMENT. On my appointment on 5/7/2024 I experienced a wonderful day my appointment went great my teeth was cleaned the doctor came in right away I was out in least than one hour I was given my next appointment with a smile and a song from the scheduler great place to be seen. I love it there.

Fantastic experience: You might experience some delay in your appointments, however all you need to do is ask to be placed on a cancellation wait list and you will get in as soon as possible. This staff cares and they will take care of you, just speak up. Thank you dental care of garden city!

Negative experience: Terrible customer service miscommunication and delayed dental work. Dentist has no empathy and barely speaks to patients. Office staff was talking about patients. This office is just out to get insurance money and if you have insurance through the state they are going to keep calling you in to bill you and doing nothing but X-rays, my husband has been getting the run around for years from the office. Staff unprofessional, office manager doesn’t reply to messages and dentist rude and has no dental etiquette

Fantastic experience: They have an amazing team of doctors and staff, very friendly, will go above and beyond to protect your smile and continue to connect you to family. I would not want to go anywhere else for my fillings or cleanings.

Positive experience: Everybody in the office was really nice. I feel like I could have had an appointment the same day to be molded for my dentures. I mentioned several times that that’s what I was coming in for and it seems like nobody was on the same page. I can understand the x-rays and spent $155 for those and literally two minutes in the dental chair. Not really sure if that was possible, but it would’ve been more convenient if I could’ve come in and have the x-rays done, the exam and the molds done in one day. It’s very difficult and sometimes painful to eat without the dentures.

Update: 02/29/2024… I’m raising one star for the effort they try to put in. They rescheduled the next day and promptly did a cavity work. As always Top notch work by Dr. Shounia … I Felt good.. Today is a different side of my teeth.

Fantastic experience: Had a new partial made, last one was made through another dental company. From day one I wasn't able to leave it in, pain was horrible! Never could eat with it in. Today I received a new one from here, dental care of Michigan, garden City. Doctor put it in, no pain was perfect! Been wearing even sense. Thank you soo much

Negative experience: First time here it was horrible . I had a scheduled appt and the dentist said he couldn't do my cleaning because he had a more important cleaning after wasting my time sitting there scheduled me for June for a cleaning hello it's only March. I also needed work done on teeth one is in severe pain scheduled me to August once again March if I could rate 0 stars that would be my option horrible experience. So unprofessional.

Negative experience: Very bad service they are very rude not professional at ALL!!! I was told i had 3 cavities they made me 3 different appointments for 3 cavities that could be done in 1 appointment so i took my X ray and took another opinion and i was told i have noooo cavities at all !!! If i could give no star i would ! THEY ARE THE Worst!!!

Fantastic experience: This place is awsome the staff are friendly and professional I got full upper and lower dentures and was assured I could come back as many times as needed for sore spot adjustments how ever my denture turned out perfect almost 2 weeks later and still don't need any adjustments they are perfect this dentist really knows his craft I recommend everyone to come here you won't be sorry every one has complimented how real my dentures look

Fantastic experience: My experience was great from the moment I walked in the door. The 3 ladies at the desk were very sweet. The two assistants that did X-rays and prepped for the extraction. The dentist was sweet enough to hold my face and jaw as he took my tooth out. I have TMJ issues and the tooth nor my jaw wanted to cooperate. Thank you very much for getting me in so quickly with my face hurting the way the was. I had already been in pain for over a week and they got me in that day for a dental emergency. I am very grateful.

Fantastic experience: *phew* What a relief to go to a competent dental office. My last dental experience at Destiny Dental was a nightmare. Dental Care of Michigan Garden City had excellent front desk employee's, speedy and polite assistants, an informative hygienist, and a dentist who was polite and answered any questions I had about my overall dental health. I also only had to wait five minutes tops to be seen, which I found surprising. Worth the drive.

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional. Can’t get an appointment scheduled for 3/4 months and argued with me about giving me amoxicillin for an infection, all because I canceled an appointment due to such a long wait. They don’t care about their patients, they care about pushing people in and out as fast as they can. I wouldn’t recommend this dentist to anyone. Not to mention you have to wait an hour(sometimes longer) to even be seen from you scheduled appointment time.

Negative experience: I thought they were a good dentist until they messed up my teeth because they didn’t care probably because my insurance totally found a better dentist and so thankful for them that Dennis told me I was gonna lose all my teeth he never discussed the partial or even trying to fix my teeth I’m young and didn’t care that I was crying about what I was gonna look like so I went to a new dentist who told me completely different than that Guy did And totally fixed my mouth and way less time that he said would have to be and they totally let me pick my teeth color shape they camouflaged everything so you can’t see that I have a partial way better than this dental care. I’m sorry that I used to like them but once they switch doctors it wasn’t very nice anymore. I didn’t feel cared about as much as I do at the new place. I just felt like they were just taking tears and not caring going through it. They messed my teeth up. I never had crooked teeth now they’re messed up. Thank God this new Dentist is going to fix them, all in all they used to be a great place to go but I don’t know what change, but I will never return. I know that.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful staff . I had the pleasure of dealing with the kind and helpful office manager Samantha whom helped me get my appointment. Everyone from the lovely ladies at the front desk that gave me my paperwork prior to the appointment, the assistants that took the radiographs of my children's teeth, the hygienist that cleaned my two children's teeth and the dentist that examined their teeth kept things so efficient and smooth. This office really is the most organized dental office I've ever gone to. The whole staff works so well together like a perfect family. They are organized, quick, smooth and kind. Even at the end of our appointment when my children needed a referral for an orthodontist we had it before we left the room. The leadership here must be doing a great job to have such a well ran office with such great staff.

Negative experience: This place is not a good place. Only two of the ladies at the front were pleasant to talk to. My appointment was 9:20am I wasn’t called to the back until 10:40am after several people came in after me and went back before me. While in back they took my blood pressure (BP) it was elevated due to spending over an hour in the waiting room. I was told they wouldn’t work on my tooth unless my BP was under 100. When the average BP is chatted at 120/80. After testing my BP 4 times with different readings and told to reschedule at 11:30am I walked out. And wouldn’t be back. No one is going to have BP of 100…. That is LOW BP. This place was a joke.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient of the Garden City location as of April 22' and I am just pleased with the care that I've received. The staff as well as the doctor have all been helpful with getting me through this long dental journey of mine. It's been a pleasure to have such care and comfort and I would highly recommend this location.

Negative experience: Wasn’t impressed. Waited 4 months for an appointment to get my teeth cleaned just for them to not clean my teeth but then schedule me another appointment 2 months from now to actually get them cleaned. I will say the staff was very friendly but I was disappointed in my time being wasted

Positive experience: Got a molar pulled and they gave me a script for Extra Strength Tylenol, an OTC? Script could have done better with a pack of M&Ms!!! Told them no thanks, I have better stuff at home. Leftovers. Great gals working there, but SMH, definitely not the place to go if you have pain or expect to have it when a procedure is done. Beginning to think I need to find another dentist! 5 star dentistry but a 3 star for the lack of proper pain meds!

Fantastic experience: Everyone was awesome! ESPECIALLY!!! Samantha office manager... she was right in top of all my worries & concerns! They worked me in between patients for my pretty much "last minute" Front tooth issue. I highly recommend Dental Care of Michigan Garden City

Fantastic experience: This dental office is awesome. They are very caring, patient and helpful. I haven't been able to see a dentist since I was a kid so it was nice to have full explanations on what was necessary to be done, how it's done and even got to choose which teeth to start on. They also take many different insurances which helps greatly as the main reason I couldn't find a dentist was because no one took my insurance until now.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this office now for over a span of three months. I left a review a while ago, and my concerns were addressed and corrected. This is still a very lively and professional office. The staff is outstanding and outgoing. I haven’t had any complaints or complications from any of the procedures. I’m satisfied with the work and I am also a satisfied customer. For anyone interested in this office, sometimes there’s a bit of a wait but not always. These professionals will go out of their way to make you as comfortable as possible.
