Fantastic experience: Dr Kim found time to take care of a filling, even though I was there for an exam and consultation. Thanks that I didn’t have to go back. And he’s a great dentist. Tracy, again, does so well cleaning my teeth.

Negative experience: This place is unbelievable. They are just all about the money not the welfare of their patients. Their overzealous painful cleanings cause further damage to your teeth that drums up more business for them. If you go here you will have to keep going because they make sure they set up your mouth for more work to have to be done. They hire people to come in and do work they can't provide themselves and overcharge the patient for it. As long as you don't question the work they do on your teeth, and don't question your bill and all the side charges you'll be happily oblivious to their dark side. They actually send nervy letters letting you know they can find more work to do on your teeth if your insurance limit is not met for the year. Nevermind if you also have to pay part of that cost out of pocket. If you reschedule or miss appointments for legit reasons more than twice they actually send a letter firing you as a patient. (After 15 years) Another family member was told they would need a new bridge. $5k! They went for a second opinion and was told that's it's ridiculous and there's nothing wrong with the bridge they have at all! Beware!

Fantastic experience: Knollwood dental has been a welcome change for myself and my whole family. They are a caring and compassionate dental care facility. Myself and my husband and kids all go to Knollwood. All the staff works with you and are kind and they listen to your needs. Myself I have had the most recent experience with Arash Khoshnecis D.M.D. He is specialist in periodontics and implant surgery. Which is great that they offer his services right in the same office. Dr. Khoshnevis is outstanding in what he does. I would refer him to my family and friends. I made his work a little difficult, due to I wouldn't heal that quickly as expected. He was understanding and that made my implant procedure so much more easier because of his attention to detail and his patience with my questions. Our family is thankful that we have chosen Knollwood Dental Care for our dental needs.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency situation with a tooth. they got me in right away and instead of being a small procedure it turned into something extensive and they did not make me come back They fixed it right then and there I appreciate this staff

Fantastic experience: I don't enjoy going to the dentist... but they're always kind and straight forward. If I choose not to go through with a certain suggestion, they're willing to talk about other options. They also help when I need an emergency visit. So if you're not a big fan of dentists, this IS the place for you. They won't make you feel bad for lack of oral hygiene or imperfect smiles. Dr. Elizabeth is amazing, she walked me through getting a bridge. The process was easier than I thought and after 9 months, I dont even remember what it was like when I had 2 teeth gone next to each other.

Fantastic experience: Knollwood Dental care is by far the absolute best dental experience you can have. Doctor Kossak is one in a million. She is not only is the best dentist me and my family have ever been to- her work is masterful, but she is the sweetest most compassionate doctor I have ever had. I am an extreme baby when it comes to the dentist and she makes every experience I have there wonderful. I have had a lot of work done this past 6 months and I actually look forward to going to the dentist now. She does everything with precision and Caution to ensure you are not in pain and comfortable. If you are looking for a wonderful place to go she is your Gal! Also HUGE shout out to Amanda the dental assistant. You would think she is a dentist her self they way she knows everything about everything and her work is impeccable as well. She makes you feel so comfortable and at ease. She is a super star at what she does! The 2 of them together are truly amazing! I’m beyond grateful I have them while I have had a ton of issues that I’m currently dealing with- but my smile has never looked better and all my pain has subsided thanks to them. Also Adriana, Jayden and many others assistance and hygienist are all so great! AND the the the entire front office - especially Christina is amazing to work with and carol who is the office manager are so beyond helpful…. And all others (I’m sorry if i am missing any names ) but they are so nice to work with.. They take many insurances and a lot less expensive then other places I have been too. So Five stars or a hundred for Knollwood dental. You will be very happy with this decision! I’m so grateful I have them! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ❤️

Fantastic experience: I had to get a crown and it was very difficult. I don’t numb easily but I also don’t do well with numbing shots. Because of this, the procedure took almost more than double the estimated time. Maggie and Dr. Kim were extremely patient and gentle the entire time, making sure to do everything they could to make me comfortable during the procedure. They are both also very skilled at what they do. I hope I never have to do that again, but if I did, I’d go to Knollwood. From my other interactions in the office, it is clear that the entire staff at Knollwood are very knowledgeable and uphold the same standard of care that I experienced with Maggie and Dr. Kim.

Positive experience: Not a bad place but not the right fit for me. The staff were polite. My hygienist was polite but water kept splashing in my face while she was cleaning. Dr. Kim seemed nice but he checked my teeth 3 times and then looked at the x rays and said I have a small cavity. I have not had cavities in over 15 years. I felt he was just looking for anything so he can charge me. The place to me is cold and only cares about making money. I am used to going to a dentist practice that has one dentist and the staff has been there forever and they give you more personalized and friendly care.

Fantastic experience: Been going to see Dr Kim for a few decades. Friendly staff, expert services. This dentist does not constantly lecture you about flossing and inadequate teeth care, I don't like to be constantly lectured about flossing daily. Knollwood is straight to services and no bs, yes they tell you to floss daily and brush twice over, but not constant. Pleasant lobby and all around good service, takes most insurances too.

Negative experience: Don’t go to this office—not because of the doctors, who I’ve always had a good relationship with—but because of the front office staff and their poor handling of patients. This practice charges you thousands for dental care, yet if you miss a few appointments—even after communicating the reasons such as family emergencies, illness, or unexpected travel—you’re dismissed from the office without any real conversation or consideration. Life happens. We’ve always done our part to call ahead and keep the office informed, yet it feels like that effort means nothing to them. I was given a family appointment, got my kids up and ready by 9am, only to be told last minute not to come in. No phone call, no proper explanation—just a blanket decision made without professionalism or compassion. What’s worse is that management never even spoke to me directly. For a family practice, this kind of treatment is incredibly disappointing. Their policies need serious review and their front office could use some training in empathy, communication, and basic respect. Save yourself the stress. The doctors may be great, but the staff and management make the entire experience frustrating and unwelcoming.

Fantastic experience: Karen is amazing. She is so good at making her clients feel comfortable. This is the only place I can go and enjoy my time there. I’ve been going for years and I highly recommend them. Update 6-19-25 Went to Dr Fisher for tooth extraction. To be honest, I was stressed out about the procedure since I was only using local numbing. I couldn’t believe how fast he got my teeth out and it was so calm about it. It was honestly unbelievable and I realized I worried for no reason. If I ever need extraction again he is my go to guy.

Thorough, professional, empathetic, and discusses a plan so you can decide what order to work on major and routine items.

Negative experience: Waited 45 minutes was suppose to get cap but dentist did a referral instead and seen me for about 5 minutes then charged me 128.00 dollars

Fantastic experience: Went to Knollwood for a couple of cleanings and the staff has always been amazing. Had some extra work done with Dr Elizabeth and she was amazing. She was very gentle and caring throughout the whole process. The entire staff is exceptional. Would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: I went there today as a new patient. I saw Dr.kim and EJ for my cleaning. Dr. Kim told me that I have two filling that we need to monitor. Actually, I never had fillings or any teeth procedures in my entire life. Terrible lack of dental knowledge. The hygienist name EJ Was very unprofessional. She pull the table without telling me that she is done working on my cleaning. She was extremely unprofessional. I would highly recommend avoiding this place in the future. I asked my dad and the rest of the family to stop going here for dental work.

Fantastic experience: I moved to the area from Indianapolis, and finding a great dental office that you feel comfortable with is not a fun task, and one that I put off until i had a crown pop off. I called around trying to get it fixed. Knollwood was able to squeeze me in the same day. The experience was so good that I scheduled a cleaning for today, which turned out awesome! Found my new dental office.

Negative experience: I had a bad experience due to a misdiagnosis from Dr. Calek Dominic. When I went to Knollowood Dental, they checked me for two different days for a pain in my lower tooth 31. During those days I had intense pain. Instead of getting an endodontics as they had told me, they sent me to a doctor who extracts molars because there was supposedly a fissure in my tooth. When they extracted it, they realized that my tooth did not have any cracks, which I now suffer from molar extraction pain. I am very traumatized by the pain I feel

Fantastic experience: I went in last week needing a root canal and Dr. Calek was booked so far out and he went out of his way to squeeze me in when he really didn’t have to. He is so knowledgeable and kind and professional and he’s done 2 of my other root canals and I’ve had success with all his work. I live 3 hours away now and no matter what I’ll drive the 3 hours just to stay with Knollwood because they’re so amazing.

Fantastic experience: I was in a lot of pain. They were able to see me same day and fund me an additional referral appointment quickly. My last cleaning they were so gentle. It was such a blessing. I appreciate the cleaning in quadrants. It makes all the difference when you have Trigeminal Neuralgia. The numbing gel is incredibly helpful.

Negative experience: This is a busy dental office. Unfortunately, I had my teeth done closed to the holiday. It could be the reason why things were rush and unusual longer wait time for my teeth to numb up after the injection. Everyone I spoke to about my treatment plan told me something different from the receptionist confirming my appointment and the remaining balance of the visit to the dentist and assistance, and the person setting my next appointment. The balance I was informed turned out to be incorrect because my treatment plan changed so suddenly. The number of teeth needed to be treated also changed from one person to another and every time it was increased in number. I thought I was lucky to have my teeth done early, but it turned out not as I expected.

Fantastic experience: I found this place on my dental insurance website and I’m so glad I did. I just started talking my son here and everyone in the office is very helpful and nice. It’s never a long wait and the appointments always go smoothly and fast. I love this office and will continue bringing my son. I stopped taking my son here almost 2 years ago and they keep sending bills for service he hasn’t had. I had him call and he was advised that he doesn’t have any bills due. Fast forward to today 12/9/24, he gets another bill for 66.80 and the date is 10/16/24. How sway? He hasn’t been to this office in years!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Felt very comfortable with Dr. Khoshnevis working on my dental implant. It is a long process, but everything is going well. Erika was my hygienist and did an outstanding job, she provided information for every step of the procedure. Everyone is very friendly and cordial.

Negative experience: This place is like crazy land. If you filter the reviews by lowest rating to get the full truth. They must have gotten all their friends and family to write good reviews and bring up the ratings because they are terrible. If you have allowance on your insurance they will set up dental work you don't even need done to use it up but then also charge you plenty out of pocket too. During a root canal procedure Dr. Kim got mad and visibly expressed annoyance because I had to use the bathroom in the middle of it. Sorry but a call of nature can't be ignored! Also kept bumping another tooth with the drill which actually hurt. I mentioned it about five times to stop leaning the drill against it while he drilled the other tooth but he kept doing it. A day later that tooth cracked off and I had to go in for an emergency visit. The tooth had cracked down too far to repair or fill so they said I had to get a root canal but I should go elsewhere to have it done. I said you broke the tooth that had nothing wrong before and caused this you should do it free of charge! They said no it was not their fault! So I had to go to an endodontist. $750 out of pocket! I should have taken them to small claims court but I'm just too busy to deal with bottom feeders. The henchmen (women in billing) at the front desk sounds like they'll hunt you down if you don't pay on time. They give an upfront warning. I always paid on time at my visits and still got the strong arm warning. They ended up sending a letter that because of the sensitivity issue "I had" for complaining about them destroying my tooth and using the bathroom during my visit. I was the only one with reason to complain! Also they don't even know how to do half the work needed and hire outside help to come in and do the work and charge you out of pocket for those outside professionals to come in because insurance won't cover it. It's just unbelievable!

Fantastic experience: Dr Bhatti is by far the best dentist I've ever seen. He is so good at giving shots that you barely feel it. He is also very kind and has a great sense of humor. His work is outstanding. He truly loves his work and his patients. The dental assistants are equally wonderful and extremely skilled in their craft. Rose is a relatively new hire, but she made my experience so much better. Let's face it, no matter how wonderful the dentist is, no likes getting their teeth drilled. Rose was so kind and calming that I was able to relax. I am so thankful for her. Knollwood is a top notch dental practice and I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Wow! I was amazed! They had cookie dough toothpaste!!! So delicious!! They sure did a through great job cleaning. In fact I never had a cleaning job like that before. They know teeth! The dentist was wonderful !! And the hygienist sure does her job great!!! I got a chap stick tooth paste and floss and a tooth brush! Man they hooked me up!!

Fantastic experience: I recently cracked my tooth and was in a lot of pain and needed a root canal. The office got me in the same day and Dr. Bhatti and staff were fantastic. Dr. Bhatti talked me through everything and made me less nervous. Having a bad experience years ago with a root canal at my previous dentist I was super nervous. The root canal process was completely painless and quick and zero discomfort the day after either. Just had my temporary crown taken off today and my permanent put on. A pain free experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Dr. Bhatti and his team.

Fantastic experience: Had another great experience today. My hygienist was the absolute best! I think this was the most pleasant dental appointment I’ve ever had! I always have to have the ultrasonic cleaning done and my teeth are pretty sensitive to it, but today I had an amazing hygienist that knew what she was doing and I walked out very pleased

Negative experience: This place is like a boot camp . The manager, Carol is extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. She apparently has issues. If you do not get their money making X-rays when they say , you’re outta there. I do not need X-rays every single year nor do MY kids! . I have 3/ 4 month cleanings. A good dentist can see decay in a cleaning . . This says a lot about these lazy , money hungry , unethical employees. The manager , Carol sent a letter saying she no longer can treat me or my family any longer . I mean how ignorant can one be? I requested my son’s X-rays the same day she was rude to him ,before she even had a chance to send the letter. You were fired way before. The office is a joke. The receptionists are not bright enough to even pronounce a simple name and kept calling me by my last name. Talk about disrespectful. I have some names for a lot of them but won’t write them here . My son has a processing issue and these hygienists and “Carol” were taking advantage of him. I told them about what happened and his current condition, yet these evil people were very rude to him and he can’t help it. Its Mental abuse in my book. I once requested a certain hygienist for him and I was given a very inexperienced one. Luckily I took his appointment and found out. She was the worst . They claim to be ethical but that’s not true . Their Orthodontist is also a hot mess. She was hard to understand and wanted to take UNNECESSARY X-rays again after he had a slew of them right before she unfortunately came to the office. DO NOT USE HER AS YOUR ORTHO!!!!! I wouldn’t allow those X-rays.. We went elsewhere and the new orthodontist accepted the prior ones. GO FIGURE! I needed a wisdom tooth removed and had the panorax done in the five years . The extremely rude female employee at the front desk was telling me that I have to retake them or won’t have my tooth pulled and she had the nerve to tell me the ORAL surgeon In another office won’t pull it because he needs a current one. WELL , she was WRONG. Dr. Kasper on Hayes near Metro pkwy in Sterling Heights used the old one and never even thought of asking for another. Most of their good employees leave. I know why now. Good riddance knaziwood . When you stand up against their bullying , you’re no longer suited for them. I am glad I have a back bone . I am not your sheep and I feel sorry for the ones that unnecessarily have X-rays done and don’t need to. I will make sure to spread the word about your establishment .I see several rips in the reviews . I am glad I can add to it. I am sure Carol will comment like she does on Yelp , very condescending. Go read those reviews. After Dr Krause left, this place went down hill fast, sadly. Incompetent management . What a huge difference when we left to find professionalism . Good luck here if you choose this hot mess of an office. Also, Maria , hygienist hasn’t a clue how to clean teeth. The two sister doctors are not recommended either. My sons can attest to that! Notice how the incompetent manager responds. She knows she is unprofessional. If only the people reading these reviews knew how we were treated..

Fantastic experience: Just completed my second visit for a cleaning and I couldn't be happier to have found this practice. Everyone here is so nice and I really liked both hygienists and Dr. Lydia. I definitely will recommend Knollwood Dental.

Negative experience: Knollwood Dental is untrustworthy. About a month ago I got service of annual regular checkup and cleaning (which is supposed to be no cost to patient except special treatment). Last week they sent me a bill with patient payment on deductible. I went to the office to dispute. When I asked them on why I was charged, the personnel in the billing department said a specialized cleaning named “Periodontal” had been provided to me so I needed to pay for deductible amount. What I responded to her was “If they wanted to provide any service chargeable to me, they should have explained to me first. So I could decide whether or not to proceed, but nobody in the office told me about it at that time. Therefore, it is wrong to ask my payment.” She did not give a clear answer to my dispute and said she will talk to her manager and get back to me. Two days later her feedback to me was that I still needed to pay for the amount and take this to my employer for any deductible question. What a nonsense attitude they have! Since I had a similar case with them last year, I imagine that many other people visiting this dental office might have also experienced their crooked business behavior. Please be cautious of unexpected bill from them!

Negative experience: It’s disappointing to see an office overrule a patient when it comes to their own care. They have choices and for the office manager to be so seething rude to paying customers is quite outlandish. I hope the Dr.’s there get Carol inline before she crumbles your practice. Word gets around pretty fast in the community when an officer manager treats people the way she does.

Fantastic experience: I called them on Saturday morning as soon as they opened. I had a dental emergency, and I wasn't a patient there, but I am now! They were very polite, and asked me to come in as soon as I could. Upon arrival, I did have new patient forms to fill out, but it didn't take long. They saw me right away, took xrays, conducted an examination, and confirmed my thought that I needed a root canal under a crown. Due to the pain and situation, I was immediately prescribed an antibiotic for 3 x daily for 7 days. By that same evening my pain level became manageable. The Dr. explained that by Tuesday the antibiotics would be working enough in my system to allow me to have a root canal. I am greatfull that they saw me, and very impressed with my total experience. I will be seeing them for all my future dental needs! I highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you Knollwood Dental Care!!

Negative experience: My name is Ishmael Ben Said (above is my pen name), and I decided to part way from Knolllwood Dental Care establishment, and this after 23 years being a client with them. This is because of a bad experience regarding a bridge replacement done 6 months ago. I had experienced pain in one of my teeth for a long time aftér the procedure.The decision to replace the old bridge was from Dr. Lydia kossak. I was under the impression that no problems would ensue and that she would honor any work and uptake costs about any additional work, if things turned out wrong. Everything went wrong. I paid $ 1,800 out of pocket for this procedure. I knew something was not right after the first session of the procedure was done by taking the old bridge and putting a temporary one with a temporary seal. It was done hastily and with too many hands and assistant workers handling the tasks. I was in pain the whole day. I went to the establishment 3 TIMES afterward to remedy the pain of the lousy work because I couldn't chew anything on the side of the new bridge. After all attempts failed, and to my surprise, she decided to finally put on the permanent seal, as if all is good under the sun, despite the fact that the pain in one tooth was excruciating and persistent. And add insult to injury her response was, "I will refer you to another dentist." Why is that? I might have asked, but refrained. Avoiding responsibility, perhaps? It doesn't matter. I went to their expert in the same establishment three days later. He told me I had an infection and that he needed to drill a root canal to solve the problem. Remind you that this drilling will be done on the new quasi porcelain bridge. What a waste? Ok, I might have accepted the expert advice, BUT here is my real issue with this establishment, all the work and related costs will be out pocket and be charged on me. WHAT? Dr. Lydia Kossak's initial work was faulty, recognized it and honor the costs to remedy it yourself, instead of charging me or the insurance. IT WASN'T MY IDEA to change the bridge, it was hers. Why should I incur the costs of a remedial work that shouldn't have happened if the initial work was done properly? WHY? Why input on me costs that are not of my own doings, or the state of my dental status, but it was rather the result of a bad dental work performed by your dentist. At the time, I was on dental Medicare insurance, but I passed my limits. I have used this reason to cut all ties with Knollwood dental care establishment, although I have enough money to replace my two other bridges and even more. If this how they treat loyal clients, that's fine, I will go somewhere else. I recommend clients to sign an agreement if the decision is to do any additional work that was a consequence of a previous intended work that ended up of a lower quality, if not to say total failure. Doctors or dentists are humans, something they can make mistakes and are not infallible. They need to recognize it and stop charging people or insurance for additional works that sprung up from their OWN lousy work. I am in the process of remedying the problem created by Dr. Lydia Kossak and I am planning to redo my two other bridges. I would rather give my money to another business than return to this establishment, although there are two very professional workers there. Those workers who dealt with me in the 5 or 6 last hellish appointments for the nightmarish bridge replacement procedure, I would rather not see them at all. And it is all for the good of everybody. Negative experience: I had all four of my wisdom teeth out this past Thursday. When I’m done, they proceed to tell me I bite so hard through the bite guard during the surgery I bite my lower lip and needed stitches. I’m so out of it and drugged I don’t even think much at the time until the next day and where I “supposedly” bite through my lip hurts more then where my teeth have been pulled and stitched! I look in my mouth and it’s so far down there’s no possible way I could have bitten there while having a bite guard in my mouth, even if by chance I did bite through the guard, the pieces would have prevented me from biting that area! What I believe happened was either I was cut somehow by the Dentist or the bite guard was pushed into my gums and cut me. My thing is, at least own up to what you did and not try to put it on someone who’s drugged out. Be a professional and be credible about it. It’s not like I can turn around and sue you, I signed a liability clause before hand in case anything did happen. But at least I could respect you after for being truthful and you wouldn’t have lost my future business or any associates of mine now.

Fantastic experience: My temporary crown came off last night. I called in to the office thinking that I would have to wait until the permanent crown is ready. Nope, Chloe called Jennifer to the phone and she told me to come right in. Dr. Kim, Jennifer, Carol, Chloe, EVERYONE at Knollwood ALWAYS make sure I have the BEST experience during EVERY VISIT and ON EVERY PHONE CALL. I have been a patient since 2011 or 2012. They are the best!!!
