Fantastic experience: As a new patient I was able to get my daughter in the same day. The staff was great and the dentist fixed my daughter’s tooth when 3 other dentist had told me there was nothing they could do. This was the best experience with a dentist that we’ve had!

Fantastic experience: First visit and they are so professional and my grandsons where with me and they look after them and accommodated them by putting on a movie in the room I was in and they also have flat tv's mounted on the ceiling so you can watch a movie while they work. Takes ur mind off of what is happening. I found them by chance and wld highly recommend this dental office. Great staff and a professional dentist! Second post, went for a deep cleaning and their hygieneist was awesome! I took the option to have my right side numbed due to the pain that occurs with this procedure, other than the pain of the shots everything afterwards was smooth sailing. They are the premier dental office in Amarillo! I moved here from Wisconsin and had a superior dental office there and I was very lucky to have chosen this practice. The staff is both welcoming and efficient. Their hours of operation, from 7 AM to 7 PM, also make scheduling appointments more convenient.

Fantastic experience: Windmill dental is all about the money not your care. I had my teeth done 3 years ago had to get financing which cost me up to 8.000. Dollars to pay off. Dentist had quoted me 6500. Hundred for full dental and pull. Well my bottoms were good enough to keep he said. Had partial but on bottom and full on top. I never said anything about the price. Went back today because my teeth won’t stay in they drop when I talk. Dentist said yes gums had receded so going to reline after impression, then I go to check out and told its 450.00 dollars to my shock I said I don’t have that I will have to pay it out. They said I couldn’t I would have to refinance. I said no I’m not doing that with interest no way so I told them just give back my teeth it was so ridiculous I can’t believe a dentist like this. I thought he was a better person than that but money talks. So be careful and check all your concerns before proceeding with him.

Negative experience: Better hope you do not have a root canal issue, they couldn’t see me for 8 months when I call to make appointment, called Dental Group of Amarillo even though they do not take my insurance and they could see me in less than 24 hours.

Negative experience: Their response shows what type of customer service this place has. Not only did they not do anything to fix my teeth they have been extremely rude about it. I wouldn't have left a review to let everyone know what type of establishment this truly is if they had been a kind and caring office like they are trying to portray with their backhanded response. If they actually had integrity they would have helped me fix the dental issues they caused. Within the past week 2 crowns this dentist created for me have popped out. They refused to fix it or give me a refund. These people are thieves. I spoke with other dentists in the area on this issue and they explained that crowns don't just pop out in less than a few years unless the dentist did work of low quality. Windmill refused to help me at all. They could have fixed the crowns without charge or refund me the money so I can get the proper work done at a reputable dentist. This is a terrible dentist. Please do your research and pick someone who takes pride in their work. The front tooth filling he did for me less than 2 yrs ago popped out suddenly without cause. Don't go here. He repaired it without cost but I've never been treated so poorly by a professional. He basically man handled me. He was very messy and got blood all over my face. He rushed the repair and didn't stop when I expressed pain nor did he wait for the numbing to actually kick in before starting the repair. I'm sure I'll have more issues with this tooth and ultimately will have to spend even more time and money to get it redone by a proper dentist.

Fantastic experience: My dad is a USAF Veteran and 82 years old. He went into this dentist to get assistance with his tooth that was bothering him. The dentist promptly fixed his tooth, and did not charge him. Amazing!!

Negative experience: Zero stars would be more accurate So let's tell the real story. I had an appointment in December 2022 for an oral health check and cleaning as a new patient. The "dentist" looked in my mouth for 2 minutes and never mentioned anything about my oral health but started a hard sell for $10k in veneers. When I wouldn't go for that he walked out of the room. I canceled my appointment for the cleaning (took 4 calls because no one would answer the phone) but still kept getting text "appointment reminders". I thought I was done with these people until Thursday when I get a letter with "your account is past due" stamped on the outside. This was the first time that these people had ever sent me a bill and they have the gall to say that I am "overdue". The check is written and they would have had it yesterday if they weren't closed. I pay thousands of dollars of medical bills every year and for them to say that I wouldn't pay $77 is just disgusting. Please don't ever go to this place.

Negative experience: My problem wasn’t fixed at all, they keep pushing my appointment back. And they keep coming up with reasons why they can’t see me on my appointment date. I set up an appointment for early November, came in so they could fix the problem they caused. And then they said they don’t know what the problem is, and set an appointment for mid December to see if it gets worse even though I’m in constant pain, I wait until my appointment date and I just showed up for them to say they didn’t end up making the appointment even though I told them to. So now they tell me they can’t see me until mid May. Like I’m done with these people they screw up my root canal and now this.

Fantastic experience: I'm so glad I chose this office! Had to change dentists due to insurance change. I loved my former office but this place is a step above. Quoted me 1/2 out-of-pocket expense as the previous office for a potential future root canal. Autumn was a very thorough, attentive hygienist and Dr Whetten was personable and kind with suggestions. Fantastic experience: On December 9, 2024, I arrived at 11:10 AM for my scheduled 11:30 AM appointment for my periodontal maintenance and dental teeth cleaning at Windmill Dental, 6017 Hillside Rd, Ste 100, Amarillo, TX. I was greeted by the receptionist and I provide her the completed paperwork I had previously pickup several days early, as well as, my various medical records and documents they would need. Within 10 minutes I was greeted by Brittney, the dental tech, who would be cleaning my teeth, plus my periodontal maintenance, then took me to a room where two other dental techs would complete my dental X-rays, plus a panoramic set of dental X-rays. Then, Brittney, the dental tech, took me to a different room where my dental teeth cleaning process would occur. First, my blood pressure was taken, and secondly, a gum gap measurement was completed, since I had advised Brittney that I had gum reduction surgery back 2008 by an oral surgeon in Amarillo, TX. I had also provided Windmill Dental all of those dental records -- surgery and teeth cleaning record from my previous oral surgeon's office from 2008 thru 2023. Brittney, the dental tech, with Windmill Dental was thorough with my dental gum gap measurement process. After the dental gum gap measurement process was completed, then the dental teeth cleaning process for removing plaque began. Brittney, the dental tech, was thorough yet gentle with plaque removal from my teeth, between my teeth, as well as, from my gum-line and below the gum-line. I can definitionally state this was the best teeth cleaning process I have experienced in decades. Brittney, the dental tech, who did my teeth cleaning, periodontal maintenance, and the 'Laser assisted Perio Therapy' receives an A+++ from me, and Windmill Dental receives an A+++ from me as well. I had also requested Laser assisted Perio Therapy, which was done, after the regular dental teeth cleaning was completed at Windmill Dental. Windmill Dental is the only dental office that I am aware in Amarillo area, that offers and has "Laser Assisted Perio Therapy".
