Negative experience: I am very disappointed in Dental Associates of Grovetown. When I first came in for a consultation they asked me had I had X-rays and consultation from another Dental organization I told them that I had services last year. They had all my insurance information and never called before doing any services on me. Dental associates waited until I was scheduled for an extraction on a broken tooth to tell me that the service was not covered after having pulled my tooth in order to generate a payment for thei xrays. Which would have been more appropriate if they would have called my insurance to find out so that I could have made the decision to wait or schedule the service but instead they waited until they did the extraction to say the first service was not covered. I had to make payment arrangements for the x-rays, so I agreed then they tell me that I wouldn't be able to get my partial until I paid the bill in full. Has I prepared for the scan for my partial a office manager came in and set down and asked me when will I be able to make another payment I told her next month she asked an started supposedly typing in 55.00 which she asked me if I could pay each month I said I could try to pay that amount from my understanding and talking to the person that it would take several months before the partial come in and that I would need to come in for several appointments before the partial came in which would give me time to pay the bill which was 189.00 less the 25.00 I made that day. Last week they called to say my partial was ready and to come in for pickup. I thought that the arrangement was good but instead today they told me they need all their money. The staff at the desk was very rude with conversation at my last visit with staff laughing and talking about me which was very inappropriate in public. To Grovetown employees stop miss leading customers and be up front about all services. It's a shame to turn a good organization into a corrupt and dishonest place to do business because that type of organization doesn't last long no one wants to do business with liers. Don't take the advantage of good and loyal customers because businesses come and go. A word of mouth is worth many customers and don't be unreasonable, inconsiderate, and bulling to customers they come to you for a reason with trust in their hearts. In other words we can go anywhere for service. Your organization is not the only fish in the sea. Blessings

Negative experience: Thoroughly disappointed, don't even know where to start just know i definitely will not be back. Received conflicting information the entire time I was there, had my gums stabbed repeatedly expressing they were sensitive and was pretty much asked to swallow my blood. Charged for X-rays that either could not be read or misleading and still waiting for a follow up call for pricing on a procedure, my appointment was at 2pm yesterday, only assuming that call is not coming. Overlooked the fact that they didn't even bother to give my daughter a new toothbrush or anything after her first visit a few months ago and really wanted to give this place a chance but after my experience yesterday, I'm good....

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE! They are a terrible lazy business with horrible customer service. I innocently did not know I needed to provide them both my health insurance and my separate dental insurance during my very first visit when they filed my claims with my dental insurance, they were denied because the dental insurance wanted them to file them through the health insurance first and then the dental insurance second. When I then later provided them with the health insurance, they failed to go back and file the claims with the health insurance. They are now hounding me to pay them $500 because they refused to go back and file the claims because per their policy, they won’t go back and do it. DO YOUR DAMN JOB and get off my back!! I have insurance so get your payment through them!!

My hygenist, DeAndre, was personable and kept me informed of each step in her process to ensure my dental health. My dentist was also well informed and ensured I understood their assessment. Positive experience: My first appointment with this practice was ok. Only thing is the hygienist cleaned only half my teeth. I wished she had cleaned them all. The reasoning for this is because she said I needed a deep cleaning. I was placed on a call list for her to clean the other half. I will say the practice is up to date on technology and very knowledgeable.

Negative experience: Waited 4-5 months for an appt. They asked the day before for my insurance info I sent it over like requested. Showed up today for the appt and they said they couldn’t see me because it takes weeks to input dental insurance? Literally never have had that take that long. They said it would be another 4-5 month wait to see the dentist. Good thing they have decent clientele they can stand to lose a few with those wait times. Anyway, I won’t be returning. I would suggest to look elsewhere if you want anything done timely.

They’ve completely transformed my smile and given me a fresh start in life, and I can never thank them enough for that. I am forever grateful to Dr. Clemons, Leiya, Bianca, and the entire clinic staff for giving me my confidence back. Negative experience: I’m only doing this review due to the fact that I had to go back in the office to obtain a work excuse for my son and walked in on the staff discussing my son. I guess because he was a few minutes late due to an accident that happened to be outside his apartment complex so the traffic was backed up, but he did arrive before the grace period was cut off. So it seems like that was already the first strike. So it seemed like they made him suffer a little with his tooth extraction. It was one particular staff with copper colored braids who just didn’t care if I was standing there patiently waiting for the work excuse she kept right on talking about how her day started off late due to him being late. I didn’t say anything I let her continue to vent. But be mindful of who you speak on! And be a little more patient with others !!

Negative experience: I had an 1100 appointment. Arrived at 1052 to check in. The receptionist took my insurance information and medical history. I got called by a tech at 1132 with no explanation of why the appointment was over 30 minutes late. The tech went over the medical history then told me to have a seat in the dental chair. I was then told they had to confirm with the insurance company before taking Xrays. After 1155, they still hadn't started my exam. I got up and left at 1200. I didn't appreciate no explanation or acknowledgement of being late. I have decided to find another dentist.

Negative experience: So I had went to another dentist after this one because I felt they weren’t really doing a great job, the other dentist asked me who did my fillings and told me they looked bad!!! I had gotten like 4 fillings here and then I had moved so I went to another dentist and they asked me if I had gotten a filling in a certain place which I told them yes, by this place, and they said well you still have the cavity there!!! So I basically got a filling for nothing because the cavity is still in that exact spot!!! I do not recommend this place! They’re very unprofessional. Will not be coming back. If I’ve had two different dentist tell me that my teeth look bad after the fillings this place did there is obviously an issue.

Fantastic experience: I had a great hygienist. I loved my dentist very personable. The only thing I didn’t like were the X-rays the bitewings were too large for my mouth which made it very uncomfortable. However, the x-ray technician was very apologetic. I was given a very thorough exam; I was highly pleased. I’ve been in the area 4 years and so happy I decided to try Dental Associates of Grovetown.

They change dentist more then I change my shoes and each dentist I have had I couldn’t complain about but this last one I seen is a different story! Her attitude is horrible and the way she talks to you would make anyone upset! I will not be going to this office ever again!!

Fantastic experience: The service at Dental Associates of Grovetown was excellent. From the moment I arrived to the office to the moment I left, personnel at this location was professional, attentive, polite, and had a very positive disposition. They explained everything they would do. Once the evaluation was complete, the dentist, Mrs. Marshall provided her recommemdations, discuss the options, and answer my questions. Immediately after, the office lady that handles the payments, went over the plan and estimated cost. She also shared information on financing options available, and scheduled my follow up appointments. I highly recommend this team.

Negative experience: I have had really some bad experiences here with this dental office. My hygienist is great he does a fantastic job. But they can’t keep the same dentist in their office. I had a dentist who was very unprofessional doing a tooth repair and she had her friend was over me talking about the outing at a bar they went to. Then she drilled and to far and that made me to go get a root canal done. Lord then I had to come back there to get fitted for my crown and they did it. And when it came back it wasn’t right. I told them that it wasn’t filling right in my mouth. Then they filled it down but around my gum line it wasn’t all the way down. And know they are saying that they have found that it could be starting an infection. So I recommended you to another place. If you want just a cleaning my Hygiene is good but if ever need anything else please don’t go

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Dental Associates of Grovetown! I went in for a filling and was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly everything went. They used a topical numbing gel before the injection, which made a huge difference. Dr. Marshall was amazing—she made sure I never saw the needle, which helped ease my anxiety. I was told to raise my left hand if I felt any pain, which reassured me even more. The casual conversation between Dr. Marshall and her assistant was also a great distraction from the sound of the drill, which still made me a little nervous—but I felt absolutely no pain the entire time. The entire staff is courteous, friendly, and professional. For the first time in my life, I’m actually looking forward to my next dental visit instead of dreading it. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the overall experience. I scheduled appointments for both my daughter and myself back in December 2024, clearly stating that they were for new patients and needed to include cleanings. I was also assured that the location accepted our insurance. About a week and a half before the appointment, I received a call stating our insurance wasn’t accepted—fortunately, I had supplemental coverage. When we arrived, I verified that the insurance was in fact accepted. Despite all of that, I was informed my appointment would only consist of x-rays and scanning, and I’d need to return on another day for a cleaning. I asked to speak with a site lead, but was told that person was on vacation and there was no one else available to address my concerns. I kept my daughter’s appointment, as she hadn’t had a cleaning since June due to our recent PCS military move. The dental hygienist who worked with her was kind and respectful, and I truly appreciated that part of the visit. However, I had taken time off work and waited months for this appointment, only to be left frustrated. In addition, now my daughter and I will not have the same appointments moving forward and our schedule will be completely off and work will have to be missed more than preferred. This experience showed a lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism. I was told a call center was involved, yet I spoke directly with someone at the office to confirm both the type of appointment and insurance. This situation needs to be addressed seriously.

Negative experience: I have decided to look for a different location for my dental needs. I called for an appointment due to having a painful issue with a tooth. Couldn't get in for a month asked to be put on a earlier appointment list never heard back. My appointment was given away due to the fact I did not confirm appointment by 12 noon the day prior. I did contact them at 1 pm that day but they gave my appointment away already. Ok I understand that was my fault. Through text I thought I set an appointment for March 18th at 3 pm. Just to verify appointment I called on Friday prior to confirm. No appointment on the book. Of course they try to accommodate me with another appointment. I feel that this location is not an appropriate business to be seen. First I ask to be put in earlier if possible back in Feb, never received the option, then they give my appointment away so I have to wait another month, with still no call about possible earlier appointment, then finding out that I thought I had an appointment to find out that the scheduling department is incompetent of doing the scheduling. I will advise people not to go here as a new client. They can apologize all they want this is bad practice. Looking at reviews this looks like an on going issue. Scheduling department needs to be addressed. Retrain your employees.

Negative experience: I had scheduled an appointment here for a 6 month cleaning with the understanding that they took the insurance that I did have. I clarified that specifically over the phone with the lady 3 separate times as that was the entire reason I was having to change dentists. They got me on the schedule for 2 weeks later and all seemed fine. I had another appointment scheduled for immediately before this newly scheduled appointment with enough travel time not to be late. Day of on my 5 minute drive to my other appointment Dental associates called me to confirm my appointment for 2 hours later. While on the phone during this short commute the lady relayed this would not be a cleaning nor did they have the space in the schedule to turn it into one that day. It would just be xrays and an intake exam. Frustrated and out of time I said I would still go and went into my current appointment. Finish at that appointment drive over to dental associates and do all the paperwork. The front desk lady was very professional and kind. Went back with someone and she was very personable and professional as well. Xrays are taken, they have me wait while the dentist finishes up with another person for the examination. After some time they arrive and recommend a specialty cleaning that is above the normal before they can even ascertain anything more needed. I was working with a dentist for some time and knowledge of the amount of work still needed. Ensure all records were transferred and such too before hand. I informed the dentist of how that other cleaning is out of budget and requested the basic one to get started with us working up from there as the finances free up. (Still trying to recover from a hurricane what 6 months later) She informed me they cannot downgrade the recommendation or work things out. Sent in the finance person to double check insurance coverages and such. While waiting for the finance person pretty much the same exact scenario could be heard from someone one room stall over. Finance person comes back with two finance options and information that they do not work with my insurance at all. Gave me paperwork so I could think on it. I paid for the intake exam stuff they did but will never go here. Everyone was super professional, and great overall just not the way to do business. Lied to over the phone when scheduling, literally last minute adjustments, then absolutely not even an attempt but go into more debt to make this work on our schedule. I've got a crew of kids that their dental needs come before mine. So it financially isn't there for a long time then. I called my old dentist and schedule what I needed and for further out so we can pay as we go and not have to drown in debt for basic work. If the insurance hadn't changed I never would have been in this boat in the first place. Very unprofessional way of trying to shoehorn more out is all it came across as.

Negative experience: Updating my review: this place went south when the former dentist left, they charged my insurance incorrectly every time and often asked me to pay sums that were incorrect. A family member and a friend also both had a bad experience here regarding billing being done incorrectly and a crown put in that another dentist said wasn’t really needed. I’d steer clear of here now! Original review: The hygienist was accommodating and helpful as I visited with my 5 month old baby — quick and painless clean and really nice staff.

Positive experience: The operator was somewhat rude, but overall, it’s a good place. I initially contacted them in January to set up my appointment and reached out again to update my phone number and confirm if my appointment was still valid. The operator couldn’t locate me by my name, even after I explained the situation. However, when I provided my old phone number, she was able to find me by my name. She had previously stated that she had already searched for me by name, which left me confused—if my name was in the system all along, how could you not find me? Her rude tone and unprofessional manner of communication were concerning

Positive experience: The staff was extremely nice and thorough. There was however, some scheduling issues. My appointment was initially at noon, and the office called at 10:15 to see if I could come in at 11. I arrived at the office five minutes before 11, I went back at 11:20, and they promptly did X-rays, and dental hygienist gum exam. I then waited for over 45 for the dentist to come in. It was a total of 2 hours, and I didn’t even get a cleaning. I am hoping this was just a fluke.

Negative experience: Within the last couple of years the quality of service has drop. From getting a crown and having to get it fixed two times in year with them wanting to charge me to them losing their accreditation and my insurance charging for out of network to showing up for an appointment and it is cancelled. SMH

Fantastic experience: A dental appointment has never been the most relaxing thing for me, but my first visit to Dental Associates of Grovetown was the best. Every member of the staff I encountered was friendly & made me feel welcome. Even the ones I passed in the hall gave me a big smile and hello. Lea & Dr. Clemons were fabulous & took great care of me. I feel like I hit the jackpot in finding such a great place with excellent care for my current & future dental health!

Negative experience: I have been going to this dental clinic for a few years, and I don't have any complaints about dental cleanings or dental exams I have received. However, I have had the worst experience of any business with this practice with how they schedule appointments. I scheduled dental cleaning 6 months ago after my last cleaning understanding that in my line of work I have periodic times in which I need to work night shifts and extended hours. I booked a Monday morning appointment because I can come in after I complete a 14-hour weekend shift of work. Four days before the appointment I received a text about confirming my appointment, followed by a phone call, which I could not attend due to me being on night shift. I waited one more night to respond to the text due to some uncertainties with work scheduling. There was apparently another phone call on days that I could not attend due to my sleep schedule. When I responded to the text confirming my appointment there was a appointment confirmation texted back. The next two days I also received reminder texts for the upcoming appointment. On the day of the appointment, I arrived at the location early to be told that my slot had been cancelled since I had not responded to the appointment confirmation calls or texts. I was slightly frustrated and explained my situation, that I had worked 14-hours the prior night and had an hour commute from work to arrive straight to this appointment. I showed the front desk the confirmation text and reminders that I had received. I hoped for a little compassion even if it was a mistake that couldn’t be corrected. I rather got a response in an accusatory tone that I responded two days after the initial text and I could have responded a day earlier, even though my response was two days before the appointment. I could not see where there was a policy for appointment cancelation in the text and ironically there were reminders that were being sent to me via text. In response to my protests, I was told that there was another appointment later in the day which was too late since I was already exhausted from night shift. I waited to see if my original appointment time could be kept with an opening, however other patients arrived and there were no other slots. When I asked if they could squeeze me in at a more reasonable time the response was that they only had that later time slot and that even that was being given away by a manager since I was not interested. All this was in a tone that was not pleasant, again even if there was a mistake made, I would expect a kinder response, instead the interaction was accusatory. I no longer felt welcome, so I left the premises, I hope other patients in similar situations are treated better in the future. Please also let the patient know if an appointment is cancelled instead of sending automated confirmation and reminder texts. TLDR: Had appointment booked 6 months ago specifically for night shift work, I could not answer phone calls due to sleep schedule, and found out my appointment was cancelled in an unpleasant manner even though I was receiving Appointment reminder texts.

Fantastic experience: We called had not used them before my grandson fell and broke his front tooth. They got him right in and all the staff and the dentist herself. They were wonderful my grandson just love them. He does not want to go back to his regular dentist. He wants them to now be his dentist

Negative experience: A crown factory: The dentists seem to be trained to sell crowns ($2,000 each). They refuse to do fillings unless they are extremely tiny and easy. If you need a large filling, they will give you three options: "We can pull it (no one wants to lose a tooth), we can do a crown ($2,000) or an implant ($5,000)." They will NOT do a large filling for $160.00. Essentially, they are fleecing their patients with unnecessary procedures. Advice: find a dentist whose business name is their name and not a corporation or chain. Dentists at chains are compromised and controlled by HQ.

Negative experience: I recently visited and had an extremely disappointing experience. As an emerging entrepreneur who pays for dental services completely out of pocket, I was initially attracted by the advertised price of $79. Unfortunately, the visit turned out to be quite misleading. I was assured that the $79 fee would cover a comprehensive cleaning and even called twice to confirm. Despite my initial expectations and the information provided beforehand, I left without receiving the promised care. The staff was super professional and the facility was clean, but the lack of transparency regarding pricing and services left me feeling disappointed and misled. For entrepreneurs and others paying out of pocket, clear and honest communication about costs is essential. Based on this experience, I absolutely do not recommend and advise others to seek a more transparent provider if you plan on paying out of pocket!

Fantastic experience: This is the first civilian dentist I have had outside of the military and from the time I walked in the door, they treated me like family. I felt as if I had been going there my whole life. From the receptionist, to the hygienist to the Dentist, everyone was so nice and professional. I have already been talking and trying to get people to go there.

Negative experience: I’ve gone to this dentist for 6-7 years and feel they have really gown downhill recently. To start, my husband had a cavity filled by them about 6 years ago and it was a negative experience for him. He had to go in 3 times to get the filling corrected because he kept having pain so bad he couldn’t chew on that side of his mouth after they supposedly “fixed” it. He never went back because of that. I kept going since all I ever needed was a dental cleaning. I have noticed a decline in their customer service and quality though. About a year ago they told me I had a cavity on my wisdom tooth and only offered a referral to have my wisdom teeth removed, which I declined. When I went back 6 months later for my cleaning, they didn’t mention anything to me about the cavity or whether it was worse or still there, so now I question if it was ever there. Recently, I had to cancel my appointment and the woman on the phone didn’t ask or offer to reschedule it, just hung up. I went online to try and schedule an appointment and none were available, so I submitted my information to be contacted to reschedule since it’s hard for me to remember to call. And I heard nothing! Several months later I got 1 text asking me to reschedule, not even a phone call. It seems the dental hygienists constantly change and some are good but some are pretty bad too. The last time I went, the dentist I saw seemed really rushed and impersonal, probably because I recently I saw they were trying to hire a new dentist on indeed. I’ve decided to finally switch dentists because of all of this.

Fantastic experience: Found a new dentist office in Grovetown and I was pleasantly surprised at the courteousness of tgg he w staff. My hygienist Aly was fantastic!!! She talked & explained everything that she was doing. Which I need to keep my anxiety at bay. Definitely going back and would highly recommend anyone to give them a try!

Negative experience: If it was possible to leave less than one star I absolutely would! There seems to be a pattern of this practice cancelling appointments due to physicians leaving the practice and also with insurance not being accepted. My aged mother had an appointment scheduled last year and they kept cancelling and rescheduling her appointment because of staffing issues. Her appointment is less than 2 weeks out and I get a telephone call that they no longer accept her insurance! This is beyond reprehensible to do this to an 85 year old patient. They accepted her insurance months ago when they kept canceling and rescheduling. I expressed my displeasure and was told the office manager would call me and of course I was never given the courtesy of a call. This practice obviously does not value their client’s wellbeing in the least. Their responses to poor reviews speaks volumes about their lack of commitment to their clients and they certainly do not treat their clients with dignity or respect.
