Fantastic experience: I went to WellPoint dental as a new patient. I always have anxiety at the dentist but felt comfortable right away. My hygienist Joleen was very gentle & thorough doing my cleaning. Dr. Pluid & front desk staff were very friendly. Very confident I made the correct decision for choosing this office.

Fantastic experience: One of the best dentists offices I have been to. I was a new patient. It did take me 8 months to get in as a new patient, but I knew I wanted to go here based on reviewed and proximity to my work. This place was clean, everyone was friendly. I left feeling fresh and clean! Hygienists and doctors were great!

Fantastic experience: I don't love going to the dentist and since we are transplants to this area I was quite anxious about finding a new one. I am very happy with my choice to see Dr. Pluid. He's comforting and honest and the staff is wonderful. Highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: Went to my first visit at Wellpoint after losing confidence in my previous dental offices and was very pleased with the service. The checkin process was streamlined as the front office coordinator (Noemi) took the incredible initiative when gathering general details over the phone, I had limited paperwork to finish. The office was very clean, modern and put the patient first. Let me just say this is the first office that offered me a neck pillow as I laid back. Was a great experience. Joanna, the hygienist explained everything, had a great "bed side" manner and Dr Pluid was just as kind and attentive. I am looking forward to, as odd as that sounds to working with this Office for the other work we need to do. Side note, if theres not any other reason to visit, they have TV's that point right down at you as you are laid back, if thats not the best darn thing!

Fantastic experience: Dr Payne and his staff are absolutely amazing. Unlike many other providers the main concern at Wellpoint is what's best for the patient. When I started going there I had a very serious fear of dentists and needles. I had to be seduced beforehand just to get into the chair. I am so comfortable with the way I am cared for I almost fell asleep in the chair the other day and haven't had to be medicated beforehand for a long time. The folks at Wellpoint dental genuinely care about their patients and take great pride in what they do. Wellpoint is the best of the best. Dr Payne is amazing.

The office waiting area has a relaxing calm atmosphere. The entire office is exceptionally clean and all equipment in patient areas the new. Sara who cleaned my teeth is so gentle you don’t feel a thing. She keeps me informed on my dental health and offers friendly advise on what I could do better without making me feel bad.

Fantastic experience: To prepare for my son's wedding I wanted to get into Dr Payne and get my front teeth, which were chipped and healing from a fall a few months ago, fixed. Greater effort than I expected was made to ensure I got in quickly. The personal consideration and attention to detail that I experienced from Dr. Payne, his assistant Taylor, and the front office was extraordinary. When I looked into the mirror after a couple of appointments and the saw the final results, I became emotional because what I saw was much better than I even expected for my two front teeth! What an awesome dentist office! I couldn't be more pleased with their attentive and detailed work.

Fantastic experience: I had a wisdom tooth extraction done and it was surprisingly easy and effortless. The staff is super sweet and very communicative (even texting which was super convenient!), the office is super clean and adorable and Dr Pluit was great! Positive experience: We love Wellpoint Dental, Dr. Pluid, and Joanne (hygienist). The front office staff is great also. However, one area of necessary improvement is to have the hygienist staff not use scented fabric softener. I left my last appointment with a blinding headache, sore throat, nausea, and burnt tastebuds. Had to wash my clothes twice to even begin to get the smell out. All medical and dental professionals should know by this point how toxic and irritating scented laundry products are. It only takes a minute of internet research.

Fantastic experience: I recommend Wellpoint Dental to anyone who needs dental care. I had an appointment at Wellpoint Dental yesterday and I was again very impressed with the staff, the service, and the beautiful facility. Joanna is my hygienist. She is very thorough and I like that she lets me know what she is going to do next and makes sure I am comfortable. She gave me a choice of flavors for cleaning my teeth and I chose mint. Then she tilted the chair back so that I could watch CNBC on the ceiling-mounted TV. After she was done, Dr. Pluid examined my teeth and complimented me for taking good care of them.

Fantastic experience: They fit me in quickly to deal with an emergency. Wonderful staff and dentists. Update on Nov 2021: Continuous good service on regular visits. They continue to follow covid safety protocols, which I greatly appreciate. The staff are prompt to communicate and always pleasant. The hygienists and my dentist, Dr. Payne are professionals who always treat me like I'm their favorite patient of the day. Now that's service with a smile! Update Jan 2023: Ongoing great service from the entire staff at Wellpoint. Additionay, phone calls are answered and/or returned promptly, a service that becomes increasingly more difficult to find these days. Update April 2024: In good hands with experts, as always. With a new procedure coming up, I appreciate how Dr. Payne takes the time to inform and educate me on what to expect as well as all options available. The administrative staff are very good about keeping me informed about appts, appt reminders, and billing. I continue to be satisfied with all services at Wellpoint, Meridian. Update July 2024: all procedures leading up to getting an implant going smoothly. Dr. Cooley, oral surgeon, provides excellent care. Update July 2025: as always a pleasant experience getting teeth cleaned. Many thanks to Wellpoint's experienced, efficient, and friendly staff!

When we moved to Meridian, finding a new dentist who understood my fear was concerning to me. I was blessed to find Dr. Pluid and the WellPoint Dental staff. I've been with them now for nearly 4-years. They completely get my dental phobia and my experience with him and his staff has been ideal for me and my wife. Just had a tooth filled today, but he's helping to coordinate my dental implants with my oral surgeon. Just fantastic!

The office staff is wonderful. Dr.Payne is the kindest and most available professional I have ever met (as is his Orthodontist brother). Trust me, this is coming from a woman who would rather birth a child than go to a dentist. I had severe anxiety at the thought of going so when I say I am relaxed, comfortable and whole heartedly know I am getting the best care at WellPoint Dental I mean it!

Fantastic experience: I LOVE this place! I have major anxiety about getting any form of dental work done. The doctors and hygienists are very understanding and go out of their way to keep you calm and comfortable. They also do a great job listening and providing answers to educate us on any questions or concerns. I've had a couple urgent issues and they've been great at replying and getting me in. They've even reached out after procedures to see how I'm doing, as well a my kids. We all love it there! Give them a try!!

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to give a shout out to Jonathan W. Pluid DMD and his staff at WellPoint Dental here in Meridian, Id off Cherry Lane. I'll be honest I haven't been the best keeper of my teeth and have had bad experiences with Dentists but I took another chance with this Dental Office and I can only say one thing WOW. This was the best visit I have ever had. Dr. Pluid went over everything in detail as to what was going on with my situation and how it can be changed. The Office staff was phenomenal...answered my questions while I was there and then of course I had others when I got home so I called back and they definitely set my mind at ease. If anyone is looking for a dentist or wishing to change this is the place to go. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I have had several bad experiences with dentists and have always had a hard time taking care of my teeth, which has led to a huge struggle with dental anxiety. The team at Wellpoint was INCREDIBLE. Felt at ease as soon as I walked in. Jo (sorry if spelled wrong!) was my tech and she was SO wonderful. made me feel so comfortable. it’s also very helpful having the TVs above the chairs as an added distraction! The main dentist (i’m sorry i don’t remember his name) was very thorough and so kind and considerate. I never leave reviews but I had to now. This was just the true definition of a 5 star experience.

Fantastic experience: Our family has been working with Dr. Payne and his staff for 10 yrs. We love Dr. Payne, Cinnamon (hygentist), as well as his other assistants and staff. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. You can feel that it is a positive and friendly environment. Dr. Payne treats his patients like they are his friends...But what we love most about him is that he is down to earth and sensible with his treatments and his patients needs. He provides GREAT dental care and advises us on what is important to fix and what can wait. He is a man of good character and integrity! For example... I recently went in to get my first crown. :( I was a little nrevous and even more reluctant because it was going to be a big out of pocket expense. But I knew it was necessary. So, as Dr. Payne was working on my tooth, he discovers that the crack in my filling isnt as deep or as bad as he originally thought.... so rather than proceeding with the crown, he cleans out my old filling and gives me a new one. He could have kept that to himself and proceeded with the crown... but he didnt! Instead he openly confronted me and his assistant about the change of plans.. he gave me a new solution to the problem... the assistant agreed that would work....and then he fixed my tooth without costing me more than was truly needed. To me, that is PROOF of the type of integrity he has...to not be driven by money or what is in it for him, but rather how he can truly help his patients. Ive seen it over and over again.... he gives us good care without financially burdening us. This experience really confirmed it. He makes good judgement calls. We trust Dr Payne. He treats our family like his friends, and he genuinally cares and is intetested in how we are doing. He has been seeing our girls since they were 4-6 yrs....now they are teenagers ...and they love going to see him. One of our daughters wants to be a hygentist because of her positive experiences with Dr. Payne and his staff. If you are looking for a Dentist...hands down.. go see him. :)
