Fantastic experience: Words cannot express how AMAZING my experience was. The office was clean and easy to locate. Chelsea in reception was so friendly and helpful, she saved the day and got me in for a same day appointment. The dental hygienist and dentist were so kind and patient with my anxiety and really took their time to make sure that I was comfortable and getting the best care possible. Thank you for giving me the best dental experience of my life.

Fantastic experience: So thankful to have found Chesapeake Smiles in in Odenton. I have pretty bad dental anxiety after losing teeth in a crash at a young age. The doctors and tech staff have been so accommodating, kind, gentle, communicative... I couldn't ask for more. Such friendly admin staff too. I've had two last min appointment conflicts (because of me, not them) and they've been able to accommodate on short notice which I am so appreciative of. I also appreciate their texting system for last minute appointment availability. I tend to avoid these things but the folks here have made it so easy to trust. No discomfort or uneasy feelings after multiple exams, cleaning, and cavity fillings. 100/10!

Fantastic experience: As a retired military veteran, my smile is a valuable asset to my 23 year federal career. Chesapeake Smiles Dental (CSD) is filled with the professional atmosphere I have come to expect during the two years I have been in attendance. Each CSD professional has a results-driven approach, and each Dental Hygienist has an extremely accurate knowledge base. I am a monthly attendee, and I am very particular as I show up with high expectations. Furthermore, I always leave with excellent results. Conclusion: "Highly recommended"

Fantastic experience: New patient and couldn't be happier! On boarding was easy, they accept most insurances, they got me in right away. Place was easy to find. Staff are all so personable. My first visit was very thorough and I felt very well taken care of. Second visit just as good and they got me in fast. My teefies look great!

Negative experience: The front staff is awful ! The dentist really needs to reconsider Renee being there . She is down right rude! No customer service. They literally canceled my appointment 15 minutes before I was due to come. If this dentist wants to stay in business he needs to hire all new staff. It’s a shame the unprofessionalism there. Dentist and Dental Hygienist are great.

Negative experience: So unbelievably unprofessional!! The office manager and staff have zero customer service. They waited until 20 minutes before my son’s appointment to cancel his appointment. After getting him out of school. They blatantly lied to us. There was no emergency they knew all along they were going to cancel. They texted me this morning asking if we could come earlier. If the Doctor was sick this morning that’s disgusting he was still seeing patients.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tujjar is so gentle, caring and patient. He takes the time to help you feel comfortable with any procedure and he answers your questions in a simple and confident manner. The staff is so kind and they treat you with respect and dignity. They want you to leave feeling your best and it truly shows. I appreciate each and every visit that I have at Chesapeake Smiles!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tujjar and his staff are absolutely AMAZING. Usually going into an office you prepare yourself for the worst, I do not have to do that at all. I was greeted very nicely by the ladies at the front desk, taken back by very friendly assistants, and then worked on by an amazing doctor. I will not see any other doctor, nor will I go to any other office. To get a cleaning was a little bit of a wait, but it is definitely worth it. I promise you will not feel more welcome anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful dental office !! This practice is top notch ! Starting from the amazing front desk staff who all were very welcoming immediately!! Their kindness made me feel at ease and less anxious before it was time for my cleaning . Once it was time to see Ashley their hygienist , I felt less anxious about it as this was my 1st time at their office . Ashley did a great job explaining everything and her gentle cleaning made it even better !! Lastly when it was time to check out Renee made it super easy and explained my treatment plan so well . I Will definitely recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a great practice!!

Negative experience: I am very disappointed in the level of service I received at Chesapeake Smiles. I have been a patient at this practice for two years, but recent experiences have made it clear that I can no longer continue care here. This is the second time I have arrived for a scheduled appointment only to be informed, upon arrival, that the doctor was not available. I received no prior notice or communication, resulting in a significant inconvenience and wasted time. Additionally, I was told that no treatment could be provided unless I agreed to routine X-rays, despite having previously declined them. The hygienist was unwilling to accommodate my preference or offer any alternative solutions. I found the approach rigid and lacking in patient-centered care. As a result, I have requested my records and will be seeking care elsewhere. After two years as a patient, I expected better communication, flexibility, and respect for my healthcare choices.

Positive experience: I am giving three stars due to the rude continuous service, but not by the dentist or the dental assistant. Their service was top tier. The initial call I made to understand the process and the questions a first time client would ask I felt was handled without care and understanding. Another big reason for the three stars is because I had my teeth molded weeks ago. I called and left voice mails. Nobody called me back. Nobody called to schedule me an appointment to finish the whitening process. I wouldn’t recommend going here.

Fantastic experience: I had an outstanding experience today with Sandra Zamini, Hygienist at Chesapeake Smiles. She was incredibly thorough, polite, and truly committed to my oral health. From the moment I sat in the chair, she made sure I was comfortable and explained every step. She carefully measured my gum depth and took the time to demonstrate the process to me and explain why it is important. Her attention to detail during the cleaning, scaling, and polishing ensured that my teeth felt fresh and healthy. Plus, her goody bag with dental picks, toothpaste, brush, and roll of floss was a nice touch. I chose the pink brush because it's cherry blossom season. Her professionalism and attention to detail were impressive, and I left feeling absolutely great about my oral care. I highly recommend Sandra Zamini for anyone looking for a dedicated and skilled dental hygienist! Serafina is also a great hygienist. Jewel Belle

Negative experience: DO. NOT. GO. TO. THIS. PLACE. the receptionist RENEE is absolutely god awful. i got a root canal done, (mind you no one gave me any papers detailing a treatment plan), and i was supposed to come in later to get the crown. i told them several times that i had limited time as we were leaving the military and would no longer have dental coverage. RENEE told me i couldn’t leave unless i paid for the crown THAT WAS NOT DONE YET and i asked her multiple times if there were different ways to go about this. she said no. i had to google options and had to ask her myself if i could just pay half. so i did. she was intimidating and rude and said i couldn’t leave unless i paid. we called back later saying we didn’t appreciate the way i was treated and we would NOT be back for the crown. my mom had to call and RENEE was unbelievably nasty. she asked my mom if SHE wanted to work there and do her job. we were told we would be called back about the refund and we never were. they knew we weren’t coming back yet RENEE kept calling me, telling me my crown was ready, EVEN THO THEY WERE AWARE I WASNT COMING BACK. i called back today about the refund and of course RENEE answered and was extremely nasty again, this time hanging up on my mother. she refused to let us speak to anyone above her. she told me the only way i can get the money back was by coming in person to pick up a check. i explained to her i cannot come back as it is 6 hours away. she said “oh well”. her customer skills are nonexistent. it’s a mystery how she still works there. the RECEPTIONIST does the billing, and a nasty one at that. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, it is UNPROFESSIONAL.

Positive experience: Had to edit my review from 5 stars to 3 stars. their front desk/customer service seems to worsen now. I was a LOYAL customer for YEARS.... hardly ever missed an appointment, I don't think I ever did... then I finally got sick with a cough, it was very minor but I communicate with the office ahead of time and they suggested me to cancel so I obligated.. then when we're talking about rescheduling, they were booked out for the rest of the year.. ridiculous. First of all, they shouldn't accept new patients if they have a hard time booking their current loyal customers. they didn't even make the effort to find an openings slot for me, they just put me on the wait list.. then finally, when they got an opening, they overlooked my request to be contact via email or text (I'm deaf), so they called my landline and obviously I cannot answer and it has to go through a special interpreter which they have to translate for me from spoken English to visual sign language.. which takes some time, by the time I got the message, it was too late, the openings was filled up. i called them again informing them that they NEED to email me or text me... I'm going to give them one more chance and if they still didn't follow through, I'm switching to a different practice.. it's unfortunate but I can't deal with this.

Negative experience: Me & my kids waited 6 months for an appointment, as a new patient, then I get a text from the office the day before saying that the doctor will be out of the office and I need to call and reschedule. So I call the office then the receptionist says that they are booked for the rest of the year with NO opening. This is ridiculous . I have to find somewhere else and possibly wait another few months to get in.

Negative experience: I suppose to be a new patient and the day of my appointment I called the rescheduled appointment or canceled, when I hear the receptionist tell me we going to charge you 30 dollars for cancelation fees I lost it. Never going to see me are you crazy new patient and you already charging cancelation fees. Goodbye

Negative experience: Unprofessional and dishonest. Bait and switch. Did not use correct insurance codes as agreed, used a dentist not tied to my insurance, charged and billed full amount 2 months later, and with no warning cancelled an appointment for a family members ON THE DAY THEY ARRIVED with zero notice (no phone call, no email, no text, no explanation).

Negative experience: This place is money hungry. They canceled my appts about 3 times due to getting a service that the insurance is not going to pay a lot of money. When I finally had an appt that sticked-They reported that I only have one insurance and they still submitted a claim with two dental insurances. Caused a lot of headache. I can’t do your job and my own. The quality of service has went downhill over the years. Try to avoid this dental provider.

Negative experience: As far as the hygienist and dentist are concerned, they are good. This review is for the billing department. I came here for a cleaning under my original insurance and paid my copay. I then switched jobs and although I was covered, because I did not have a physical card they wanted me to pay cash. They made it sound super easy. "Just pay cash and as soon as you get your card, submit it and we will refund you". Well, it has now been a 3 month nightmare. They still owe me close to $800. They wont pay it because the original insurance (delta) hasnt paid them on some visits. So even though the 800 in question is with BCBS (and BCBS has paid them) they wont refund me my money because Delta hasnt paid for other visits. I asked if their billing department was going to call Delta and inquire on the claim (assuming that is their job) since I did my part and paid my copay. They said no. Their billing dept does not call insurance companies. Instead they will wait a whole year and then inquire. So now it is up to me, the patient, to call and ask Delta why they have not paid Chesapeake. So I called Delta dental, and guess what - they have never received a claim. They said the office should have a claim number if they submitted and when I called the office back they have no claim number. I feel lied to and used. I am out close to $800 because their billing department can't pick up a phone. I should be refunded on the claims that have already been paid and they should be inquiring why my old insurance hasn't paid on old claims.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been patients of Dr Tujjar and staff for over 3 years. The entire experience is pleasant and procedures performed were painless. Appointment are seen in a timely manner, although getting one is getting difficult. A good thing, as it seems the word is out they are great, therefore a busier dental office. We love the proximity to our home, convenient.

Fantastic experience: The entire office is always friendly and professional. I've seen a few dentists but Dr Tujjar by far is the best dentist I've ever had. My entire family are patients at the Odenton practice for more than 15 years.

Fantastic experience: I didn’t want another week to go by where I forget to leave a review for Chesapeake Smiles and more specifically for my hygienist Sera. (I hope I got the spelling right). Now I had been here a few times due to some pain that we really couldn’t pinpoint. The first time I was seen here for said pain, I saw Dr Tujjar. He came off as very knowledgeable and going forward I really wanted him as my dentist. Unfortunately, it would be a year before my cleaning could be scheduled but I held on to that appt bc I really felt comfortable in his care. The second time I went, I can’t remember who I saw but it didn’t really felt like she listened to me nor did I feel like her customer service skills/friendliness was where it could have been but regardless I did take her advice, got a tooth pulled and lo and behold— the pain went away. She knew what she was talking about and I respect that! Thank you!!! But what really drove me to writing this review was my hygienist Sera. She was absolutely amazing!! Give how hard it was to get into this location I was long overdue for a cleaning. Probably a year or so behind so again… overdue. I was so nervous bc getting my teeth cleaned always makes me nervous and knowing it had been so long since my last sent me over the top. Unfortunately, I was running a little late (which I did call in advanced to let them know) but regardless I felt like the job would be rushed to make up for time. To my surprise, Sera was so thorough. I could tell she was really getting in there and cleaning. I felt comfortable. I cannot make this up, my teeth were so much brighter. My mouth felt amazing and I’m truly thankful to have had her as my hygienist. She was very knowledgeable and was able to provide options for a slight bite issue that no one has ever told me about etc. I’ll be moving away from the state soon and truly wish I could pack her up with me and take her to my next dental office. That’s sera for being so thorough and doing such an amazing job!

Negative experience: WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was seen here years ago and was referred to a specialist, but the specialist wanted me to start seeing my regular dentist again. I stopped by the office in February to schedule an appointment, their next available appointment was in May. It was a long wait but I waited. These people decided to call me on the day of my appointment (5/23), 30 minutes before the appointment to cancel because the hygienist supposedly called out sick. I was halfway there. I asked if they only have one hygienist she said no but the other one is booked. I also asked how soon can I be rescheduled, she said June 20th because there’s nothing sooner. Which I thought was ridiculous, because I waited 3 months for this appointment just for them to cancel last minute. I’ll find a different hygienist, because nothing will make me go there again.

Fantastic experience: The staff were all friendly. The young lady who cleaned my teeth was very polite and informative. We had a thorough conversation about my dental needs and preferences. This visit was last month, but I must have not posted it at that time.

Fantastic experience: I arrived at my appointment 30 minutes early, and I was seen very shortly after paperwork and check in. I was very pleased with the hospitality and overall kindness that the staff had to provide. The environment was very clean and I felt very welcomed by the front desk workers, which relieved me because I haven't been here before. My appointment went very smoothly, as my dentist was very gental with cleaning work, and made sure I was comfortable during it all. When I was all clear to go, I was given useful advice to ensure an easy next visit, and I just can't tell you how I was welcomed with smiles and overall positivity. This was by far, the hands down BEST dental experience I have had, and I definitely am looking forward to my next visit. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service! Excellent Hygienist, and staff very professional . Dr .Tujar is amazing , me and my husband are his patients since 2013. They don’t play a game of making money by telling you to do unnecessary procedures. We used to live close to their office but now we moved out and it’s like 45 min drive for us to get to their office but we can not leave this place. Every time we go this place is welcoming. Dr. Tujar always make things easy for their patients. If you are looking for quality dental service i would highly recommend Chesapeake smile. Also their hygienist Sarah and camberley are great! Very friendly staff .

Fantastic experience: If there were 10 stars, I'd give them. I drive 3.5 hours from Virginia Beach just to come here. The staff is comforting and kind and make you feel at ease. I broke a temporary crown and had an exposed tooth for 11 days during travel and upon returning my teeth had shifted and the crown didn't fit. He was not only able to make it fit, he did it so quickly as I was against the clock to catch a flight. This week I returned to have 2 old crowns replaced and I was out in less than 1.5 hours! Can't say enough great things about this practice!

Fantastic experience: The Chesapeake Smiles staff are always welcoming and forthcoming. Dr. Tujjar provides kindly and professional attention to his patients, and the hygienists are proficient and pleasant. The administrative personnel is also well informed and efficient. Each of my visits to Chesapeake Smiles, going back several years, has been valuable and reassuring.

Fantastic experience: Dr Tuijar Is the absolute best hands-down! I suffer from severe dental anxiety And PTSD from past traumatic experience at the dentist. I have a very hard time getting numb and staying numb and he always make sure I’m completely numb and I stay completely numb.. I have had at least three root canals with him a few crowns even a dental bridge throughout the years. Me and my entire family have been to him for well over 10 years. I recommended him to several friends and will continue to do so.

Negative experience: They employees here are rude and unprofessional. I called and scheduled my appointment like anyone would. I’m the day of my appointment I called to verify the address already on the way. I was told that I had no appointment but after talking with them I was told to come in. I had to pay my co pay before seeing the dentist wish I did after giving them my insurance. I was told I would be notified when my mouth guard arrives within 4 to 6 weeks. I gave them a little over 2 months without hearing from them and called. I was told my mouth guard had arrived and I needed the pay the part that my insurance never covered if wanted the mouth guard, the employee dropped before I could finish speaking. I was confused and considered taking my business else where but had already paid the co pay which is $140. So decided to call again 2 weeks later to clarify what was going on before deciding what to do. The person who picked up didn’t need my info and even told me my birthday stating that she knew who I was and put me on hold. Someone later came on the phone not sure if it was the same person and asked what I wanted and who I was in a very rude way. After giving her info she said they reason for the money they are asking me to pay is that I showed up at the establishment without an appointment and they were not ready for me so they did not charged my insurance and they if I had an appointment they would have told me that the co pay was at least 50% and basically what I paid was an estimate. So I asked for a refund because I do no longer wish to deal with them she said she had to talk to manager and and have the manager give me call back when the manager is available and that she does not think a refund is something that is possible. They are so many questions in this scenario like who shows up at an establishment without having booked an appointment first ? Why did they tell me to come in and received me and made pay an estimate co pay, if I didn’t have an appointment to begin with? Why did they never called me to tell me they didn’t charge my insurance? All this to say I do not recommend this establishment and I advice you to take you business else where.

Fantastic experience: I am such a dental phobic.. The doctor and entire staff did everything in their power to relieve my anxiety. I went back for a second appointment and was so very impressed by the most up to date equipment I have ever seen. Dr Tujjar explained everything and relieved my apprehension. I felt no pain he and his team including Kayla are the best.

Negative experience: 12/11/2023: My husband and I have been going to this office for ~8yrs. Now our young adult daughter is a patient too...so 3 patients. I don't expect any special treatment, but calling for a cleaning appointment to be told that they're booking for June 2024, it's a bit ridiculous. Feels like they care more about the money now and not the patients.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to Chesapeake Smiles in Odenton and loved it. My hygienist Sera was wonderful and made sure during the cleaning that I felt no pain. My teeth are very sensitive to cold. Sera put numbing gel on my gums and for the first time during cleaning, I felt absolutely nothing. GREAT JOB SERA. The staff is very friendly as well as the dentist. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Any score of less than 5 stars is a complete disaster...the entire staff and Dr are very professional. I have been going there for the past 3 years about 8 time. I'd always been amazed the level of service they provide I appreciate everyone of you guys at that office. If any medical professionals wants to know about patients care... Negative experience: Over a couple years, I received poor service. They told me I had a cyst in my face and referred me to a surgeon to get it investigated. I used my own and he said that it was clearly normal bone structure. After having only 1 cavity in my life, they informed me one visit that I had many. I had them filled, but then switched to a new dentist as I got a bad feeling. The new dentist was unable to get any information out of Chesapeake Smiles and had to check my insurance to see what scans I was due for. As context, I did not have any outstanding payment due. The new dentist said that he thinks they left decay under one of my fillings, less than 6 months after having it done. The reception staff consistently acted like my presence was a disruption for them. Would not recommend.

Negative experience: I have been going to this dental office for years, even though the service has declined over the last few years, I have stayed because Dr Tujjar is a good Dentist, however today I made the decision to take my business elsewhere where I’m valued as a customer and not just a number. First and foremost the lack of customer service from the front desk is unbearable to say the least. I called ahead of time to ask them to reschedule my dental appointment. Rene told me she will call me and let me know if they had an availability. She never called me. A day before my appointment another person called to ask me to confirm the date I asked to be rescheduled, I told her I couldn’t make the time and asked for a 2nd time if she could reschedule it. They gave my time slot to someone else and never rescheduled my appointment. They asked me to put my name on a list for next yr January. I missed a call from them today and when I called back, Rene told me she had given the appointment slot away because I didn’t pick up my phone.The worst part is I received a bill from them today even though my appointment was cancelled ahead of time.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is really friendly and professional. They provide you their suggested treatment plan but don't push you to do anything you are not comfortable with or ready for. I would recommend then to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to share my experience with Dr. Tujjar. I have been a patient of Dr. Tujjar for years now, and in that time, he has shown himself to be an expert in his field. He is always willing to take the time to explain things in detail, and he truly cares about his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Tujjar; he is an excellent doctor and a great person.

Fantastic experience: My 12yo who is usually very afraid of dentist visits said she almost fell to sleep while getting her teeth cleaned. She was able to fully relax and was gently cared for by her dentist. ☺️. I'm really glad she had such a positive experience, it's helped to change her view about going to the dentist. I was also impressed by their office approach during this time of Covid19.

Negative experience: BUSSINESS MUST BE GOOD! I called to schedule a cleaning today, 18 MAY 2023, and they said the earliest they can schedule an appointment for a cleaning is NOVEMBER! OK, so I am forced to email the Chesapeake Smiles Dental from another dental office someplace in Florida to request my records because I retire in a couple of months. My wife and I have been with Chesapeake Smiles Dental since 2020.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency and called when they opened at 9am, they were able to fit me in at 10am same day. (Another place couldn't get me in til 10 days later.) They did x-rays and I got all the reassurance I needed. There is a lot of empathy and compassion from the staff. Thank you ♡

Fantastic experience: 5/2021: It was my first time at this dental facility. I had tooth pain, and someone I know recommended me. It was very clean, with a calm atmosphere. Very nice, professional staff. Dr. Lee was knowledgeable and honest about my options. I felt very comfortable. Thank you, Chesapeake Smiles! *** Update 10/2021: I've had bridge and crown work done at Chesapeake Smiles, and I only have good things to say. It's difficult to numb me, and Dr. Tujar is the best! Unbelievably, I barely felt the needle last time he numbed me. I tell all of my friends about Chesapeake Smiles. If you need dental work, go there. If you don't have insurance, ask them about the Dental Network HMO through Carefirst. All up front, no unexpected charges. Don't wait - give them a call! *** Update 5/8/2023: I had a molar pulled and a crown put on a second tooth on the same day. I'm serious, I have never, ever had a dentist give a Novocain injection like Dr. Tujar. If you have fear of that injection, make him your dentist. A couple of small pinches, but almost painless! I expect pain after, but had very little. I took Tylenol for a couple of days, and that was it. No swelling or excessive bleeding, either. Staff is very helpful and professional also. If you're looking for a new dental facility, I highly recommend Chesapeake Smiles!

Overall experience was awesome and I hope to have a long history with this Dental service provider. Seraphina does an excellent job everytime I get my cleanings done. Entire staff is very professional and friendly.

Negative experience: I used to love this place but it has gone so down hill over the last few years. They used to have weekend and later day appointments to accommodate people who can’t get off work during the day, that’s gone. They used to send out post cards when it was time for a cleaning. They don’t do that anymore. It’s also impossible to get an appointment here. You call them and they don’t have any available for 6+ months. Even if it’s an urgent issue. Also I want to point out that most of these reviews are fake. Just look at them. The review is from two months ago, but the reply from Chesapeake smiles says it’s from four years ago. Something fishy is going on with all these reviews. That says a lot about this place if they have to do this with fake reviews.

Fantastic experience: I had an appt. With Chesapeake Smiles for the first time. Staff was nice and polite, office was clean, Dentist took care of my dental need with no pain or discomfort. I definitely would recommend Chesapeake Smiles to anyone. My children will be attending as we'll.

Fantastic experience: I chipped a tooth and called as new patient for an appointment. They were able to get me in first thing the next morning. I ended up needing a root canal. They were able to do the procedure the same day. All the staff were welcoming, friendly, and had excellent bedside manner. They were able to work with me on payments and had my tooth repaired by lunch! The dentist showed compassion and care when explaining the issue and procedure and his hygienist/assistant was caring and made sure I was doing okay all the way through. Overall a wonderful experience.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dentist for a couple of years now and I have never had a bad experience. Every one is nice and professional. My appointment started on time. They did x-rays and performed a cleaning. The cleaning was great but left my gums a little sore. Some soreness is to be expected with a good cleaning though.

Fantastic experience: I started going to Chesapeake Smiles just before COVID-19.I have been able to resume the treatment plan that was provided. The entire staff receives kudos. Fantastic experience: I've been going here for a while, maybe since 2018. I can't recall but the previous dentist I didn't like and needed a second opinion on some dental work. After researching I came across Chesapeake Smiles. I've been going to them before I moved to Odenton. Previously I was commuting from Laurel. The practice is small but very clean and neat. The people at the front desk are nice and welcoming. I see Dr. Doogly (sp). I love her personality, she's so welcoming and warm. Her staff assistants are pleasant as well. I did have to get service by Dr. Kim since Dr. Doogly was out on maternity leave. They did a great job as well! They were able to fix a small crack in my lower back left tooth all in the same day. I really appreciate that since my regular cleaning isn't until later. They do book very quickly so I definitely recommend scheduling in advance unless it's a emergency.

It was quick, more painless than it ever was before to go to the dentist, and I greatly appreciate the discount code to get a better electric toothbrush and water flosser. Fantastic experience: Today was the first time I went to Chesapeake smile. I was a little nervous because I hadn’t been to a Dentist in quite a while. Melissa was my hygienist. She was AWESOME!! She cared about what my issues were and didn’t make me feel bad that it’s been so long. She explained everything step by step. My daughter just got engaged and I want to make sure the issues I have needing a bridge are resolved and my smile can be bright!! Melissa thanks so much for caring!! Fantastic experience: Everyone is very professional as well as very pleasant at Chesapeake Smiles .As soon as you enter the office, you are greeted with a smile. I like every one there. Each one knows their job thoroughly. It's always a very positive experience. I have been going to Chesapeake Smiles for at least five years. I continue to go there because the staff is awesome. Melissa was my hygienist. She was very jovial and friendly. My mouth felt refreshed and much better after my cleaning and that's a good feeling.

Negative experience: Updated review, March 2022: I had to cancel two appointments to have a crown done due to waking up ill the day of. The second time I was told I was being charged a same day cancellation fee. I asked if I should show up sick then and was told no. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they don't have one. It's a shame, I really liked this practice in the three years I've been a patient there, but charging money for a no show when it's due to health reasons and as much notice as possible was given is showing that you care more for your wallet then your patients. I won't be back. Original review: Great dentist! They take great care of me.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time at this office, and I had a very positive experience. The front staff was professional and the dental hygienist was friendly and made me feel comfortable. Everything was explained to me, recommendations were made, but I never felt like anyone was being pushy about procedures or products. They texted with reminders and scheduling was easy.

Fantastic experience: I love coming here! And that’s saying something because I have horrible anxiety about getting my teeth worked on. Katrina made me feel so comfortable the entire time I got a crown put on. “You’re at a beach! You’re not at the dentist! Office!” Totally amazing staff and very professional.

Fantastic experience: January 2023, I visited the Odenton office for cleaning. M's Serafina checked my teeth stating I have a problem with one tooth. She x-rayed, cleaned and polished my teeth. She did an excellent job. Dr. Kim checked my teeth stating there is a problem with my one tooth that has an old crown on it. He explained everything to me. M's Serafina, Dr. Kim and the two ladies, M's Ashley and M's Renee of the front office were very friendly, polite, helpful and informative. I could not have asked for better service . In February 2023, Dr. Tujjar and his assistant Nia removed my real old crown, repaired my decay and placed a temp. Crown on the So s, Stooth. In March 2023, Dr. Tujjar and his assistant Katrina removed my temp. crown and placed my new crown on tooth.The crown was excellent. M's Renee and M's Ashley were in front office on both visits. Everyone were very friendly and polite.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tujjar and his team are simply amazing! I am a brand new customer and have been thinking about switching my dentist for quite some time now. Well, I started experiencing some tooth ache on a tooth that already had a filling and I reached out to Chesapeake smiles for help. Fantastic experience: I was squeezed in for an emergency appointment after unexpectedly developing an infection near a previous root canal (not done in this office). I was quickly seen, administered medication, and provided a referral to a local endodontist. I received the same excellent care from the front desk, tech, and dentist as I would in a regular dental situation. No stress, a plan was described and I was in/out in about 30 minutes.

Fantastic experience: Best dental office I’ve ever had. Staff is professional and friendly. They made me feel like I was the only patient in the office attending to my needs. Fantastic experience: I loved this place! I was recommended by my new insurance. I’ve had some scary dental visits so I’m just not fans of dentists… but this place was great. Sondra (I believe this was the hygienists name) was amazing! Super friendly and gentle with my cleaning and informative. The doctor was also friendly. The whole office had little headband things on for Halloween and was just a great spirit. I recommended to the rest of my family. Clean environment and timely appointments also!

Fantastic experience: I had been with my previous dentist office for 20+ years so when I moved to MD and had to find another dentist office that met my standards- I was filled with anxiety. I have been a dental assistant for more than 5 years so I understand how the office should flow and let me just say THIS OFFICE was great from start to finish. My hygienist, Kimberly, was quick, personable, and friendly. The dentist in the office that day was also very personable. He had great bedside manner…which to me is very important for a good office. Overall 10/10 for experience and service. I scheduled my following appointments with this office and will certainly bring my child when they are ready.

Fantastic experience: The best dental practice in Maryland. From scheduling my initial appointment, I received a text and was able to fill everything out prior right on my phone, arriving at my appointment I was met with great smiles and very helpful staff. Dr Tujjar was great and explained everything I needed to know. He is definitely my dentist for life!!!

Negative experience: Went in for a dental filling and it was horrible. The dentist provided no explanation on what she was doing, shoving random things in my mouth without saying what they were. She didn’t even give me a heads up before sticking the syringe with the anesthesia into my gums. During the filling, she kept on chatting with the assistant about their weekend plans, it felt very unprofessional. After the filling, she offered no comment about aftercare, in fact, it was the assistant, in an off hand remark, who said that I shouldn’t drink anything hot for a few hours. It’s been over a week and the teeth I got fillings for are still sensitive to anything that is too hot or cold or hard. I was planning to get another two fillings done here but I cancelled the appointment because of the pain the fillings have been giving me. Going to be looking for another dentist. I’m sure the main dentist, who is the boss, is much better, but this dentist (maybe she’s in training?) was not the best.

Fantastic experience: I have never liked trips to the dentist (I mean who does?) yet somehow I do nothing but enjoy my time at Chesapeake Smiles. Now don’t get me wrong, getting a cleaning or fixing a filling aren’t generally my go-to afternoon activities, but this staff somehow finds a way to make me question that. In my 5 years of going to this practice I’ve experienced nothing but professional, courteous, and downright awesome staff members. When it comes to the dental care itself, it’s nothing short of exceptional. I have never experienced any pain or discomfort and leave every visit feeling as good as one can leaving the dentist. From time to time I contemplate stopping by this office just to say hello and grab a shot of Listerine, simply because this group is so wonderful. If you’re looking for dental care, this is 100% the place to go…seriously no need to look anymore, this place is it.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Chesapeake Smiles for 3 years now and I’ve ALWAYS had a great experience! Between cleanings, fillings, root canals and crowns; I’ve been treated with dignity, respect, and never felt discomfort or pain. I’ll continue going here until I either leave the area or move out of state. It’s tough to find a dentist these days like Chesapeake Smiles!!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been patients here since its opening. Dr. Tujjar has seen us for a long time. The service has been beyond expectations. One time my filling cracked due to pregnancy. He fixed it for me free of charge. When I first went to him the first time (over than 10 years ago), I had a dental x-ray somewhere else and brought it to him but it was not helpful. He wanted to repeat an x-ray. My insurance did not cover this second one. He said he would pay it so I did not have to pay extra. Very impressive. He really cares about his practice and thinks long-term. Though we moved a bit further away (just in Fulton, MD) but still go to him for our dental visits.

Fantastic experience: The front desk folks are very warm and answer questions with patience. Dr. Dughly is very good and patiently answered all my my questions. Chesapeake genuinely cares about the patients and offers appropriate care. I switched to Chesapeake after a bad experience with my previous dental clinic. Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this dental office. Not only is it clean, but the whole staff is amazing. I have visited the office frequently enough to meet almost everyone there and have not had one bad experience. My normal dentist is Dr. Kim, she is honestly the best dentist that I have ever had. Fantastic experience: I recommend this place for ppl who might not feel so comfortable about getting their teeth cleaned. My experience today was overwhelmingly positive. I wasn't in there longer than necessary and checking in was quick. As soon as I walked in the hygienist got started and was very friendly and conscious of my concerns and my pain level along the way. Im happy the hygienist was able to remove all the tartar buildup from my gums leaving me with a confidence that I can trust this place and know that I will have a comfortable experience. Fantastic experience: Most of my experiences with the dental hygienist and the doctors at Chesapeake Smiles Dental have been good. However, my appointment on 23 April 2021 was nothing short of amazing. The Dental Hygienist Kim was a breath of fresh air. She was accommodating, sociable, friendly and made getting my teeth cleaned an exciting experience. We shared a few laughs and stories (well as much as I could with my mouth wide open), which made my experience the best yet. I will be requesting Kim in the future. She gets an A+ for exceptional customer service.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dughly has always gone above and beyond since I’ve been a patient with Chesapeake smiles. However, today I was scheduled for my routine cleaning and I knew that I needed my wisdom tooth removed ASAP because I was in so much pain. Instead of rescheduling me for another appointment she assessed the tooth to ensure it was something she was able to complete without sending me to an oral surgeon. Dr. D came back less than 5 minute later and stated she was able to remove it within my same appointment. So about 45mins to an hour later my cleaning was complete and my tooth was extracted. I would also like to acknowledge my dental hygienist, I love that I always have the same hygienist. It’s just one of the many perks of someone knowing who you are and your dental background. I believe her name is Michelle, She’s always so personable, great energy and great with my cleanings. She keeps it real with me and holds me accountable when it comes to my treatment plans. I love my little dental team, they really are appreciate!!

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist office and that’s saying a lot lol I have been going to this office for about two years and everyone there is very helpful. A couple of things I love especially...1. No judgment! I neglected my teeth for years and now I’m paying for it. But everyone from the front desk to the hygienist to the dentist has been very helpful and helping me reach my goal of having healthy teeth. 2. They don’t refer you out for a root canal/crown, etc.. It can all be done on site and in a timely fashion. 3. The ease and convenience of making appointments. I can’t say enough great things about this office. They are efficient, thorough and prompt. I’ll never go anywhere else!!
