Negative experience: Finally met Dr Thomas after being a patient for years. I felt she was very sarcastic with any question I asked and she was too busy. I didn’t want to have someone that sarcastic and busy to work on my mouth. I left after two hrs of being in her office. I will be finding a new dentist who takes my tooth pain seriously and who has time for their patients.

Negative experience: They had to numb my son 3 times before he could not feel the drill, even then he said he could feel it slightly, but was tired of getting shots, so he didn’t say anything. Afterwards he was very sore and only had a couple teeth in the front worked on. He has had dental work before and has never had these issues. Not very happy with this visit. Hoping my daughter has an easier time, and hoping his next visit is better! His next appointment was not any better, he felt almost everything and he was in so much pain the next day, he had to stay home from school. My daughter felt some pain as well. Switching dentists. I’ve never had such an issue with a dentist before.

Fantastic experience: I had to have a molar removed, not the most pleasant experience, but the employees at Thomas Family Dentistry made the removal of the tooth as easy as they could.

Negative experience: Filled a tooth and it failed 24 hours later. Then denied they even worked on the tooth. Other dentist confirmed my teeth didn’t hold up with the work. Unethical on so many levels. If you have serious dental issues from health conditions or medications stay away.

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked in, I knew it was going to be positive experience. The front desk staff was courteous and friendly. The hygienist did a thorough job of cleaning my teeth (which I desperately needed.) The atmosphere was calming with some great tunes playing! Dr. Thomas was beyond wonderful with my exam. I’m so happy I made the switch to come here for my teeth and my daughter’s teeth as well. (She’s a tough cookie to please and she loves it here too!) I am still a happy camper! I got my cleaning 3 days ago. My teeth feel so much better. I didn’t have to wait. I got in and got out. For a mom who is constantly on the go, those are 2 things that mean so much!

Negative experience: Everybody seemed rude the day I went from the lady at the front desk, the Dentist and billing employee. When I presented my problem of a broken tooth from night grinding….I felt dismissed by the dentist.. And basically told it’s gonna happen again if I don’t wear a night guard and it’s not worth fixing. I’ve tried different night guards for grinding, and haven’t found one that worked for me. I know that I grind my teeth, but I went there for a solution and help. But Instead of helping me, I felt like a kid being scolded by a parent for not wearing a night guard. And told that she was surprised that my other teeth haven’t broken yet. I just felt like I was bothering them and was sent on my way. At least show patience, compassion, and ack like you care…..

Fantastic experience: My dental appointment was excellent. When I first went to Dr. Thomas I was due for a cleaning, but since I was a new patient I had other things that needed to be done first. I had an appointment to have a permanent crown put on, fortunately they had an opening and I was able to get my teeth cleaned at the same time. They were very accommodating and explained everything that was being done. Excellent appointment. I very pleased that I became one of their patients.

Negative experience: As a lot of us know, having a 'toothache ' is usually a miserable experience. Mine was made worse by an appointment with Thomas dentristy ! I was wisked in and then wisked out , nobody introduced themselves ( guess its my responsibility to match pictures and names , occupation) was told by the tech that x-ray was blurry but will be OK, she just needed to check with dentist . Dentist ( just assume she was, again not introduced) did a cursory look and declared I needed an oral surgeon, that they did not extract teeth . I never heard this before and now I am educated that some 'Dentists ' do not pull teeth . Must have made test day easy. Got an email with local surgeons and a bill for over a hundred dollars (no ins.) If i was there more than ten minutes, it was to long. When I left, sorry to say, was not impressed by this dentristy. This is only my opinion and I may have been 'scheduled ' at a bad time when they were extra busy ( collecting from ins. donors maybe) . I scheduled an appointment with a different dentist and had procedure the same day ( they do extract teeth ) . I felt rushed out without any real diagnosis and charged for very little done. I realize I had an appointment and am required to pay but at least earn something !

Fantastic experience: I have never been to a more welcoming, professional dental office in my life. This staff bent over backwards to assist getting my appointments scheduled before an upcoming surgery that required dental work to be done prior to the surgery. I cannot express my appreciation enough to them!

The dentist took an xRay of the tooth that was bothering me, explained what would need to be done to fix the issue , but also corrected my bite so my tooth would be more comfortable until I could get it fixed Would recommend

Negative experience: Leah, the hygienist, was rude from the beginning. She wore a hat, a mask & glasses but no name tag. She acted offended when I asked her name. She was rude when I asked for the panoramic X-ray instead of 18 individual bite X-rays. She told me I was rude for asking questions and said if I didn’t like the way she did things I could go to another dentist. She actually said this multiple times during my visit before I got offended. Before starting the cleaning she told me that she didn’t have enough time to do a proper cleaning due to having X-rays & that I would need to come back. She the proceeded to tell me that insurance wouldn’t cover a second cleaning & I would need to pay $80. Dr. Peters was nice & explained what further procedures I would need. If insurance didn’t dictate which dr you see, I wouldn’t return. Too bad Dr. Thomas & Dr. Peters reputation will suffer because of a poor employee.

Fantastic experience: Coming from some serious dental trauma… Thomas Family Dentistry IS AMAZING! Leia put ALL my worries aside and addressed all my concerns. Leia listened to me with a ton of patience and compassion. First time I have smiled leaving a dentist office in a very long time!!! Absolutely the best staff, energy and atmosphere!

Negative experience: Great place if you have not been to a dentist for years and have a lot of fears, I would highly recommend Thomas Family Dentistry. I am someone who suffers from anxiety and other conditions, I felt at ease in Thomas Family Dentistry. The treatment plan was well explained to my understanding. My goal is to have healthy teeth. Like everything else in life there is effort needed for the treatment to work. Change in habits, and suggestions for those changes were provided to me and at a reasonable cost. Speaking of cost I have dental insurance through my job and it was easy to find them as a suggested option. I know going through their website they are quick to respond and let you know if your insurance works with them or not. There may be other options which I have not utilized in my experience with them but I suggest getting in touch with the front desk girls they are so kind and helpful! Before making the online initial appointment, I came to google and read reviews. All were mostly positive experiences as my experience can be added to the positive list. *****Updated Review***** Thomas Family Dentistry showed their true colors. I was reluctant to write a negative review because I had an upcoming extraction appointment and didn't want to risk being removed from their schedule. I left out some details in my initial review. The dental hygienist was likely the only professional in the office who seemed competent. However, the dentist herself was rather abrasive upon meeting. She also shared an anecdote about removing patients from the schedule if they returned for the same procedure, indicating that she might refuse to accept or keep their appointment if they came back after she had already done the work. As a new patient with a known medical condition, this made me uncomfortable, as it suggested a risk of being removed from the schedule if I fell out of favor with the dentist. After the visit, I received a bill and contacted Thomas Family Dentistry. They told me to reach out to my dental coverage provider. They had noted a benefit from four years ago that was not applicable to the service I received. When I spoke with my dental coverage representative, they informed me that no one from Thomas Family Dentistry had contacted them regarding my benefits. The representative also mentioned other X-ray options covered by my insurance and suggested that the dentist's office should have verified my benefits before the appointment. When I called Thomas Family Dentistry again, I was told, in no uncertain terms, that checking coverage was my responsibility and not theirs. If you choose to use this office, be sure to handle your insurance coverage yourself before accepting any services. Otherwise, you might end up with an unexpected bill and a frustrating experience. Additionally, because of these issues, I now have to find another dental office and wait another 3 weeks to months for an initial appointment, which is common with new dental offices. I canceled my upcoming appointments and a referral I had sent to them, and they requested that I also cancel their appointments. To the Thomas Family Dentistry staff: thank you for causing unnecessary delays in my dental care when I simply wanted to get my dental health back on track.

Fantastic experience: Dr Peters and her staff are incredible! I was in such pain from a broken tooth with infection with throbbing pain and swelling. They got me in that day, took X-rays to identify issue, ordered antibiotics, and recommended dental surgeons for extraction. I cannot thank them enough!

Fantastic experience: From the moment I entered Dr. Thomas’s practice I was greeted in her reception area with the most friendly, patient-compassionate staff ((yes, I was a bit nervous!)) . They were welcoming and accommodating working with the scheduling of myself and three daughters coming in from out of town.
