Fantastic experience: My experience at The Dentist Place was once again exceptional from the moment I walked into the office until I checked out. I met my new dentist who was very nice and friendly. My hygienist, Rhonda, was very professional, friendly, and nice not to mention how gentle and concerned she was about my comfort level throughout the cleaning and fluoride treatment. I look forward to my next visit.

Negative experience: Request paperwork from August for an appointment in dec wrong paperwork sent over and no follow up was completed and worst part no one to answer calls DISAPPOINTED

Fantastic experience: I’ve never much like to go to dentist office. I get nervous when I have to go to the dentist. It’s just a normal reaction for me, but The Dentist Place made me feel relaxed. Everybody from the Doctor down were very nice attentive to the patient. Very cheery. Everybody had a good attitude from the front office all the way to the back that’s very important in the doctors office. I got excellent treatment from the doctor to the hygienist to the front office staff I can’t say enough of how a good and wonderful experience I had when I went there. They will always be my dentist office. I recommend them highly to whoever is looking for a new dentist in town.

Fantastic experience: As always, I was welcomed warmly. The staff is efficient and very friendly. My x-rays were virtually painless, which has not been the case with other dentists. And my periodontal cleaning was detailed and pleasant. I would highly recommend the Dentist Place!

Negative experience: My wife and I have our own insurance policy. I have a $600 credit with this office. My wife has a balance that she is working out with he insurance provider. They will not see me anymore until my wife's balance is paid even though its two separate accounts and two separate insurance policies. They don't care about losing a patient. Do Not Go Here. EDIT* we did call and they are very unwilling to discuss. This is a corporate owned company that is only about profits. Proven by their canned replies to all negative comments. We moved to Ocala Family Dentistry they are amazing and family owned.

Fantastic experience: I had a chipped tooth and was on extreme pain. I called their office and not only did they see me within hours, but they removed my wisdom tooth as well. The dentist was very skilled, and had the tooth out in under a minute, and even now, which is the next day , my mouth is barely even sore.im so glad I found them.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was courteous and respectful. They took me in early for my cleaning. The hygienist was thorough and did not have a heavy hand nor did she hurt me.

Fantastic experience: Rebecca is the absolute best. From the very beginning, she has been so comforting. I came in with really bad swollen gums on all my front teeth, and she never once made me feel ashamed during the whole procedure. I’m so happy with her — she’s truly God-sent. If you’re picky about who you trust with your oral health, this is the place, and she’s your girl!

He truly makes sure the procedure is done in a comfortable and no pain manner. Always taking a moment to ask if I was o.k. Could not ask for better. Need a bigger office with a surgical doctor. Negative experience: Worst place ever. Very unprofessional, unethical and billing irregularities. They took money from both insurance and myself and keeping it for months. Refused to refund(partial) even after several calls and letter. I wouldn't recommend even to my worst enemy.

Negative experience: This place is a scam. Listened to them berate the lady next to me who kept saying she couldn't even pay for food yet they wanted thousands from her. I ended up walking out after thr hygienist yelled at my tech in front if me. Then, 2 months later, I get a random bill for them for something they never disclosed. Avoid at all costs. This place is horrible.

Positive experience: The staff are very kind and professional—from the front desk to the back. My only concern was that the appointment felt a bit drawn out, and they kept trying to add on extra services. I had to remind them that I only wanted what my insurance would cover repeatedly, Overall, they were courteous and helpful once that was clarified. Negative experience: With your insurance, you are to get 2 "free" cleanings a year. This is for prevention. Went for my "routine" cleaning. They tried to hit me with a $80 co-pay. Not my insurnace verbage, supposed to be free. Come to find out, they are now coding this biannal cleaning as a "peridontal prevention treatment/cleaning". Folks this is how this national company is trying to get you to part with your money. This should be illegal. By renaming your semiannual cleaning to this, they can charge you $80 co-pay and they can bill the insurance company more. I would NEVER go back to such a dishonest company!!!!

I am a nurse and caregiver and have minimal time to attend medical appointments. Also, the office is a long drive from my home with heavy traffic. Please understand that I am new to this area and need to stay close to home. Positive experience: The ladies at the front were very nice and the hygienist that did all the cleaning was amazing and nice the dentist didn’t really introduce herself or say anything just looked at my teeth and said the hygienist was gonna explain stuff then left but overall okay

Positive experience: Doctor and dental hygienist were thorough with explaining the condition of my teeth and what they were doing treatment wise. The hygienist is relatively new to the profession; so, it took a little longer than it normally does.

Negative experience: Each time my wife and I go to this office, there's always something, they canceled my appointment without notifying me. They always give us a bill to sign with what insurance cover nd what we will pay. Up on completion of the visit. There was more added the the final amount and there was no additional work. I paided all i was quoted, a few months later I get a bill in the mail, I paided that bill and get another bill in the mail. My wife went the her appointments and always have to wait because patient who came in after her was called in first event though that patient stated they had the same appointment time as my wife. The hygienist and the medical assistance are great. I was also told anything the is done i have to pay my part upfront before o leave the office, even when i did that i continue to get bills in the mail, we was also told if we have two dental insurance they do not bill two insurance, we're gone to other facility who do. our experience with each visit i strongly feel like. Negative experience: The dentist himself is very good. And then the rest falls apart. We have been overbilled, treatment plans with one set of dental codes only to have the office submit alternative codes but the work did not change. I continue to wait a response from emails and written letters about charges the new mgr agreed should have been charged. At one point I went to the office and sat to wait to speak to someone about the many billing issues and the left me to sit for over an hour, knowing I was there and every now and then looking at each other and over at me. Only when I texted my husband in the dentist chair telling him they would not speak to me that the dentist got involved and I spoke to a new manager. To date nothing has been done. We are not returning but they owe us $$. Don't know how these places stay in business.

Negative experience: I was very happy with the dentist he was great did an amazing job explaining and did my root canal however he didnt do the filling on the tooth he did the root canal on and said I didnt do that we will leave that for the dentist thats doing your crown to do. I found that very unprofessional 630 dollars and all those shots of lidocaine and to not do the job correctly was unprofessional. Also when I called i verified with them that they do in house payment plans I asked 3 times and they said yes no problem however when I got done they told me no. I had to negative my account to pay. I shouldn't have to pay for a job not well done the root canal yes but the filling on the tooth your doing the root canal on wasnt done and im unhappy with that.

Positive experience: Prob should have checked, but when they called to reschedule as they had an earlier opening I ended up with a diff tech and I really like the one I usually see. The tech did a fine job, and scheduled my next appt with my usual girl. When I refused the cancer screening the asst. Tech had to make sure she told me a gruesome story of someone who had mouth cancer - totally irrelevant to me, and I found it irritating she just didn't accept my answer as being right for me.

Positive experience: I’ve been coming here for a year, and while the front desk staff is always kind, cheerful and helpful. However every visit feels like a push to spend more. It’s almost like the hygienists are working on commission for add-ons that insurance won’t cover. Honestly, this is the first dental office I’ve been to that feels more like walking into a car dealership than a dentist’s chair

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. Staff is not on the same page, they are very unorganized, and they leave their business left with no management. I initially booked my appointment for 2:30, which I even confirmed over the phone a few days before the appointment. I arrived at 2pm and waited in the parking lot for a few minutes to go in since I was so early when I received a call from the office asking where I was and that my appointment was at 2 o’clock. Not the end of the world since I arrived early anyways, but that also shows how the staff is unorganized. When booking the appointment I was sure to clarify the price for X-ray and cleaning for someone who would be paying out of pocket before I even booked the appointment over the phone. The receptionist even put me on hold to double check and confirm the price with her boss. When I arrived for my appointment that I waited five weeks for, and drove an hour to, they told me it would be 5 times the amount I was told over the phone when booking for the X-ray and cleaning and that was before I was even examined. When I explained that I discussed the price with the lady who booked my appointment I was told that I was misinformed and asked to reschedule my appointment because their office manager directed all staff that they better not bother her on her day off and it was her birthday. When I asked if there was someone else who could handle the situation, I was told that person didn’t want to get in trouble for making a decision and she had no body else she could contact. Management clearly is a problem here. How do you not have someone to make decisions when your business is opened? Why is the receptionist informing patients incorrectly? What a waste of time and how unprofessional.

Negative experience: My last visit/cleaning was with Bree. She is awesome, gentle and very respectful. I wish I had her for the past year I have been going to the dentist place. Mary Lynn has been doing my cleaning for the past year or so. Not only was she rough, unprofessional, she made me believe that I needed antibiotics and fluoride to help my gums. After following her plan for over one year, with regular cleanings every 3 months, on my last visit I was told that I have a cavity so large that I need a root canal or remove it along with my wisdom teeth. When Dr. Vic came to explain, he was very rude and yelling words at me. From his yells, he admitted that a small cavity was there when I started seeing them and he accused me of not cleaning my teeth or did not do what was recommended, without him reviewing my chart to see that I have been following the plan that Mary Lynn gave me. Stay away from Dr. Vic, he belittles people, and Mary Lynn, question everything and keep records.

Fantastic experience: There was some initial confusion prior to the appointment, but everyone was super nice and extremely helpful in working things out.

Positive experience: 3.75. This place would be perfect if they could just save my insurance information so I didn't have to wait everytime I go there. All the staff are very kind, they are very big on upselling.

Fantastic experience: I was there for a cleaning, friendly staff & great hygienist ( Ronda ) I was brought in 10 minutes after arrival. Ronda keeps me on track with my progress with gum & dental hygiene.. P.S.no cavaties.

Plus, she was friendly, patient, and helpful. I was so pleased with her that I asked can I see her in my next visit.

Negative experience: Horror show. I have been going there for 2 years. The last year, the lady that cleans your teeth tries to SELL YOU a cancer check, fluoride, electric toothbrush etc...while she is working on you. You have your mouth full and can't respond and when you check out there is a bill for $300 on top of what is covered by insurance. I POLITELY REFUSED today and they went BANANAS...NEVER GOING BACK. EVER. I should report them to the ADA.

Negative experience: I visited this dentist office about a year ago and almost forgot to share my experience. So my previous dentist had retired and I needed to find a new dentist. I’ve never had any issues with my teeth, or gums. I floss and brush regularly without fail so I thought it was a bit odd that they said I had a couple cavities. But mostly they said I had gum disease and needed to do what they call “deep cleaning”. A fairly expensive procedure that would take 2 sessions. They told me if I didn’t then it would be risking my teeth eventually falling out. Being that I do take care of my teeth and have great oral hygiene I questioned their suggestion. The other thing that was weird is that they were booked out 6 months just to get in for the check up but they wanted me to come in the same week for this deep cleaning. So they had plenty of time and room for that. The whole experience felt very much like a sales pitch. Not to mention the visit itself took over an hour. And all they did was X-rays and gum measurements. Anyway. I got a second opinion from an honest dentist who told me my gums were fine and praised my dental hygiene. I just needed a regular cleaning as it had been a little longer than normal (a year ) since my last cleaning due to my previous dentist retiring. I would beware of any deep cleaning suggestions that this office gives you especially if you take good care of your dental hygiene at home. This office wasted my time and almost put me through a painful cleaning procedure that I didn’t need. All for money. Beware.

Negative experience: Horrible!!! I have been trying to get my medical records from them for over 2 months. They would no release my medical records for a second opinion because they quoted me over $1,800 with insurance for what sounded simple preventative care. Now they won't release my x rays and I can't get my darn teeth cleaned. They say they don't have any requests yet I have requested records for over 8 weeks. Absolutely horrible!!!

Negative experience: Never had the same hygienist, they took x-rays never showed them to me or discussed them with me . I feel this is a place where people are practicing on you to become a dentist. They push you hard for extras like fluoride treatment and cancer screening .

Negative experience: on my first visit they told me I needed three crowns . I trusted them and had the work done paid the payment later got a gum infection and was told later I needed a root canal in one of the new crowns after that a couple of weeks still have a infection where the work was done before the work never had a problem my teeth never even hurt , then my insurance will not pay on this because they said is was for wear not anything I needed and now I owe the 1,7056 dollars above the cost of a root canal and still have a infection , BEWARE this place is a scam .

Negative experience: If I could give this facility 0 stars, I would! The lack of professionalism, organization, and overall ethics of this business is astounding. I’ve been struggling for almost a YEAR now to complete my Invisalign with them. Turns out the doctors don’t stay very long either. In that year, I learned that they continued to collect payments from my insurance for orthodontic services rendered. That I HAVE NOT BEEN RECEIVING. Literal INSURANCE FRAUD. Avoid The Dentist Place and their sketchy practice at ALL COSTS. Because trust me, it’ll cost you.

Fantastic experience: New patient here! First appointment! X-rays, and consultation for broken molar. Everyone was very welcoming and nice.. I needed a root canal. I’ve had them done at other dentists in another state before, and could feel the drill so I was a lil bit nervous! This time, it was completely painless! I didn’t feel a thing from the numbing shots, and throughout the procedure! A welcomed relief! The staff and Dr. Berryman and Dr. Dreyer took good care of me! Thank you all! You guys rock! Fantastic experience: I've always been petrified to go to the dentist. From scheduling the appointment to meeting the doctor & staff, they're all extremely courteous, professional, helpful & knowledgeable. I'm extremely happy that I started treatment with them. I highly recommend them!!!

Negative experience: Do not go here! My 18 year old son went in for tooth pain, I had him take himself cuz I had to work, they told him he had an impacted tooth and they scheduled him to get it pulled a week out! That night he's crying in pain so I called the next day and said I'm bringing him back today so yall can pull it! We got in but now they are saying it's gingivitis and let it run it's course, no antibiotics or pain meds nothing. That night night I noticed white sores on his mouth and he said they've been there since his tooth started hurting, now yes he should have mentioned that to them but how did THEY not notice and say anything about them and he was there 2 days in a row....I'll be canceling his future visit and any money they try saying we owe they can kick rocks. We took him somewhere else and wer were told he has a bad gum infection and that he should have been put on antibiotics and sent home with a good mouth rinse....NOT TO LET IT RUN ITS COURSE!!!

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental provider I have ever had. My hygienist is very gentle and thorough and her advice has helped me improve my personal dental care. My dentist is practical and he knows how to read the room. At my age, I don't need anything fancy, I just need to keep what I have and he doesn't try to upset me unnecessary work. Very grateful!

Positive experience: The cleaning was good however the front desk girls don't understand insurance and every time I go they try to get me to pay more than I owe then argue with me when I tell them I have full coverage

Negative experience: Went in for a dental emergency consultation and was given 2 options of treatment either an expensive root canal and crown or cheaper extraction I was told to give a call later after the consultation to confirm the course of action I would be more interested in, I called a few hours after the consultation to confirm that I was going with an extraction since I needed the cheaper option, I had an appointment scheduled for the earliest day I could get in since I’ve been in pain for the past 2 weeks meanwhile confirming that appointment on 4 separate occasions. Come into the appointment and was told that the doctor would be in to try to convince me to take the more expensive option and I was very confused, long story short I wasn’t actually scheduled for an extraction just what seemed like another consultation that I didn’t not ask for nor agree to, they handed me a referral and a business card for an oral surgeon and told I had to go somewhere else… why would I have taken off work the entire day and asked what precare I needed to take before the procedure to be told I needed to go set up and another consult and subsequent procedure with another office? Absolute waste of time and not at all what you’d be led to expect from how they portray themselves could only recommend this place to my worst enemies

My dental hygienist, Miss Bre, was so sweet and kind—she made me feel completely comfortable throughout my visit. It was such a pleasant experience! And Dr. Berryman—he was just incredible. He was so thorough, took the time to answer all my questions, and made sure I understood everything about my care. I truly appreciate the level of attention and kindness from the whole team.
