Gentle Family Dentistry Center for Implants & Facial Aesthetics

Negative experience: I did not even step foot inside this establishment and was met with snapping and rude customer service by the Manager Jenna over the phone. I had initially made an appointment and was given the following day which was good. However I received a call from Melissa (who is very nice btw) to tell me they couldn’t verify the insurance. I made some calls to the insurance company who explained to me why the dentist wasn’t able to verify the information, even though I do still have dental insurance and an active plan. There was a mishap with the insurance company so I completely get why the dentist office would charge me out of pocket as they couldn’t verify. The insurance representative called me back and told me she spoke to Jenna and she was very rude and told the rep she was not comfortable with me coming to the office for my appointment. So I called the dentist to cancel this appointment since they were not comfortable with me going in (I was willing to pay out of pocket) they asked me why I was canceling and I told them because Jenna was not comfortable with me coming in today. They put Jenna on the phone and she explained why. She asked me if I wanted to cancel this appointment and like I said I was willing to pay out of pocket but wanted to call the insurance one more time. I asked Jenna if I could call back and give an answer and she gave me a nasty tone and attitude saying “well I can’t do that! My hygienist is coming in and your appointment is 90 mins long” I said ok go ahead and cancel then (as I don’t want to waste anyone’s time). She continues to say in her nasty tone “do you want me to delete your file as well?” wow you already determined that you do not want me there as a client? So I told her the insurance rep told me you were nasty and I agree. Go ahead and delete that file, as I do not want your services any more and I don’t appreciate the customer service offered. She processed to ask me why and how she was rude, and I explained to her the nasty tone and attitude and her response was “well there’s been a lot of back and forth and calls today!” Oh so you just take it out on the customer because you’re overwhelmed? An unacceptable excuse! I was on the phone with the insurance company for 2hrs before I even called her and not once gave her nasty/rude tone or attitude. This is unacceptable service and Jenna needs to reevaluate her responses to customers when she becomes flustered.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going this office for my teeth checkout for couple years. It’s a great clinic with excellent service. The manager Jenna was very helpful. Maria and Dr. Patel were professional. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I really love this place! I’ve been coming here for a long time, but this is actually my first time writing a review. The founder and the whole dental team are awesome — super nice and really good at what they do. Mathew does amazing work every time, and I always feel like I’m in good hands. Definitely recommend them for dental cleanings and other treatments — they take great care of you. The only small downside is the front office — they can be a bit grumpy sometimes . But everyone else here makes up for it with their kindness and professionalism. Overall, this is a fantastic dental office that I truly trust. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Fantastic experience: Amazing and personable staff. Flawless remodel. The parking lot can be tight/full depending on the time you go, but there is street parking. It feels like a family as soon as you walk in. There is advanced dental care and they offer the best recommendations. Do not wait to schedule because they are full at least 3 months ahead ( which is great!).

Fantastic experience: I’m going to start this review with I absolutely loathe the dentist. I can’t stand the sounds of the drill, and anything associated with the dentist. I was fearful of the dentist since I was a child. That has changed. I did not feel a thing. I was at ease after my second visit, so much so that I could almost fall asleep in the chair. The people there explained everything, checked on my well being and treated me extremely well. If I had this level of care throughout my life, I would never have had a problem with my teeth. I can’t say enough good things about the staff there.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient for many years. The office staff, dental assistants and dentists are courteous, knowledgeable and professional. The dental procedures, whether it is a cleaning or implants are state of the art. The office building, which was just renovated and expanded to offer additional services, is stunning and impeccably clean and modern. When you are a patient at GFD you are treated with the utmost care, all at one office. I recommend GFD highly!

Fantastic experience: My grandson had a terrible toothache this morning, so I called GFDentistry to see if they could take him in the office today and pull the tooth. Here it is a wisdom tooth and we found out he has all 4 wisdoms and the teeth need to come out. We got referred to an Oral Surgeon , so this is our plan. As soon as the oral surgeon calls us back, we will set up his appointment, and have the teeth removed. Then fill his couple of fillings he needs.I can't tell you how wonderful we were treated at this emergency visit. All our questions were answered, the bill was my grandson's co pay. They told us everything he needed done. The office was remodeled and is gorgeous. Thank you GF Dentistry for all your help and kindness. We will be back for all his work and we will refer you to others.

Fantastic experience: this was my first time here and I had a great experience. The front desk was super friendly and tentative and my dental hygienist, Matt, was awesome. He was very thorough with his cleaning and made sure to leave me with a bunch of recommendations and tips on how to better improve my oral health. Overall, 10 out of 10 experience and will be going back.

I've been going here for 4 years now and I've never had a bad experience, from desk staff to hygienist to dentist. Fantastic experience: I had ZOOM teeth whitening treatment done by Paola. Paola is friendly and very professional. She explained the procedure in detail and completed without issue. Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment just this morning and I wanted to RUN to leave this review. The staff was very friendly, but I'd like to make a special shout out to Azure. She was so kind and understanding. I deal with severe depression and I got emotional during my appointment. She spent time with me and talked to me. She was so sweet and reassuring, she even gave me a hug. I will definitely be back, and I'm going to request to see her every time. She's truly wonderful and I want to give her the credit she deserves. Give the girl a RAISE!

Negative experience: Was planning on getting my second implant done with Gangi and called to get a consultation to way my option of implant or partial for a molar I had removed a few months back. Call for an appointment and was told he could see me today. When I got there they already want to charge me for a scan and consultation fee which I was upset because if they would’ve told me this on the phone I wouldn’t have wasted my time! I’m just tired of this place and searching for new local dentist. Place has become too much of a money hog.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy I found this dental office!! I had to leave my previous dentist due to an unfixed issue with my teeth. They said I did not have any issues that couldn’t be solved with salt water and braces. When I came here, my exam was thorough and all aspects of care were explained. Matt was my hygienist and he was extremely professional and knowledgeable when taking X-rays and doing my initial oral check. He also completed my deep cleaning, where he took his time and made sure to address any of my concerns. The dentist who saw me was Dr. Ramirez and he informed me of treatment options and explained my care plan. This was a great experience!!

Fantastic experience: I've amended and updated this review a few times this summer as I was in need of work on a cracked tooth. While a visit to the dentist doesn't often top many people's lists of "fun things to do," for those of us who are sexual abuse survivors, it's traumatizing and in my personal case, required much physical, mental and emotional prep before each of the (almost) 4 trips to evaluate (Dr. G), create the mold for the permanent crown and place the temporary crown (Dr. Mantilla), and final 2 permanent crown placements (Dr. G). The reason I chose this practice was because years ago, I chipped a front tooth and they were open during Covid and were able to take me right away. The Dr. who saw me took his mask off. In my very first review, I carefully expressed my negative feelings regarding that experience. Dr. G called me on my phone, completely catching me off guard and I was completely moved. He told me that he's help me anytime I needed. Well. it took a few years to "need," however when I did call, he took the time though it's not his primary role and saw me. It was a very positive experience and I disclosed my abuse history to him and he was very kind and receptive. My next experience was with Dr. Mantilla and my review (that I had to delete because I didn't know how to leave multiple reviews in succession) was not of him or his work but of my personal experience, in the hopes that dentists might try taking patients' histories (if they choose to disclose) into some sort of consideration when they begin the process of doing the work itself. I have many ideas on how this could be implemented however that's not why I'm writing this review. Dr. G spoke to me softly and soothingly and I think it's his regular way, however it calmed all of my anxieties and fear and my feelings of past trauma were soothed away. I understand that all Drs have different styles for each job they do as well as different personalities. Dr. Mantilla was extremely competent and I appreciated his thoroughness. He did his best to put me at as much ease at what his part entailed allowed. Because it was very invasive and multiply stimulating, it was triggering for me. That, in no way, was his fault. He did his job and did it well and I'm grateful. I go back tomorrow and Dr. G will be permanently cementing my permanent crown and then I'm taking a "break" from the office for a while to "recover"(interjected humor). I am very grateful and would recommend this practice and to especially encourage anyone who is afraid to go to the dentist for whatever reason, to share with your Dr. You have a voice and it's up to you to advocate for yourself. It can only empower you and help in your relationship with your Dr. It definitely did for me. I will return after I get things paid off because I know I need more done. After tomorrow and for a while, I will be unwinding because it's been much more than dental work for me. I hope this review helps empower others and let Dr. G know that he truly impacted me. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: By far this is the dentist I have ever been to! Starting with the treatment coordinator, Jenna, who went over my treatment plan in-depth. She gave me a full understanding of what to expect. I've never been to an office that truly made me feel like a part of their family! Dr. Gandji did anterior crowns and they look better than I could have ever imagined!!

When you make an appt you honor that appointment time you don’t make people wait forever. The time you make your appointment for is when you get called into the office and you’re also quick efficient and friendly. You guys are definitely professionals and I respect everyone in your office especially those I have had the pleasure of being seen by like Dr. Patel, Dr Gangji and Paula and there are a few others I apologize I don’t remember everyone’s name but thank you to each and everyone of you for being so nice and good at what you do and a place that I actually like going to. You guys are truly the best!

Fantastic experience: During this visit I got a deep cleaning with local antibiotics. My hygienist was Ro. She was AMAZING! She was kind, gentle, skillful, thorough and informative. I am pleased with the results and I feel like she didn’t rush the process. I got to my 9am appointment about 10 minutes early. Check in was quick and I was called in to begin at 9:02am. The administrative staff at the desk were friendly and inviting. If you’re someone who has dental anxiety, this is definitely a place where you can have a much easier time getting through your dental visit with less stress.

Fantastic experience: I got a teeth cleaning and some fillings for cavities here and everything went by very well. The doctor who did the fillings was very nice and funny, and he made sure that I wasn’t uncomfortable in any way. The receptionists are also very nice here, and i will definitely be coming back in 6 months to keep up with my teeth cleanings!

Fantastic experience: Gentle Family Dentistry deserves its name. Every person I’ve come across working at the Bethlehem location has been incredibly kind and most of all gentle. I’ve been to several different dentists in my life but this is the only one I leave with a smile every time.

They have done everything they can to get me in and schedule for any appointments as quickly as possible. Fantastic experience: Dr. Ramirez is absolutely phenomenal! I’ve struggled with dental issues for years due to genetics and health issues, and I really thought there was no help for my teeth, but he’s done everything to fix my smile and help me feel confident again. Myself and my family have been coming to him for years and will continue to for as long as he’s in practice (the rest of the staff is so kind and wonderful as well and I can’t say enough good things about them!).

Fantastic experience: I went in for oral surgery and Dr. Patel elaborated on the procedure before starting. I was extremely nervous at first. He gave me a pillow to squeeze and asked me to raise my hand if I felt any sort of abnormal pains. The surgery took about 20 mins total and I did not experience any pain during the process. Dr. Patel has such vibrant and cheerful energy. It was truly a wonderful experience.

Positive experience: Pros: Dr. Ramirez is skilled and has some high quality dad jokes. Really good assistants. Cleanings here are painless Cons: They overcharge you by a lot! Feisty front desk ladies. Very little after surgery direction. Not Ideal for bigger dental procedures. No anesthesia for surgeries and extractions

Fantastic experience: Exceptional from the front-desk personnel through to the dental services. I was fortunate to see Dr. Paola and Dr. Patel to address cavities. They are beyond compare. I really value their patient centered approach. They made sure they I understood the process and that I didn’t feel any pain during my filings. Would eagerly recommend this dental office to others.

Fantastic experience: I'm embarrassed to admit I have not been to a dentist in 17 years due to anxiety I've had in the past with dentists. Christine and Dr. Patel made me feel extremely comfortable at my appointment, they did not shame me for waiting so long which I appreciate and I left feeling good and calm about this appointment and looking forward to my next visit! Brooke and Jenna were also extremely tentative and friendly which helped ease the anxiety.

Fantastic experience: We switched to Gentle Dental due to our benefits. They’re in network. For years we continued using an out-of-network dentist and paid a lot out of pocket because we had horrible experiences with other practices. When we got hit with an $800 bill for our son, we decided to try another in-network practice. Anyway, after three years of lack of dental care due to Covid, I had a lot of treatments to be completed, scaling, four fractured fillings, one cavity, and a fractured tooth that requires a root canal and crown. I need a bridge due to a back tooth loss from a horrible dentist years ago. I'm incredibly nervous about needles, So you can imagine the level of anxiety and fears I had. Dr. Patel was amazing, caring, and compassionate about my fears and took his time with me. His side chair, Melissa, was just as impressive. Along with the hygienists. I didn't require any numbing for the scaling and no after-pain. They have state-of-the-art equipment, so no more uncomfortable x-rays, radiation exposure, or a heavy protector on your chest. There was a mix-up on my appointment in the beginning, which caused the office staff and myself to go back and forth. She was very abrasive on the phone. However, my experience going forward has been nothing but perfect. I'm very surprised by the few times I've been there; I'm recognized by name and not by an appointment booking. Well done to this team of dentists and their staff.

Fantastic experience: I am terrified of the dentist and Gentle Family Dentistry helped me overcome this fear. I have extremely long roots and needed an extraction after I broke a tooth. As a new patient who was in extreme pain and also very embarrassed and humiliated over my situation, this entire team made me feel welcome and provided me with options to best fix my broken tooth. I never felt like I was being sold unnecessary treatments like I did visiting other dental offices. I felt like I was being given affordable solutions that would be best for my oral and overall health. When I came in for my procedure, Dr Patel was patient and reassuring and I didn’t feel a thing! I am actually looking forward to coming back to the office and maintaining a beautiful smile for years to come under the care of this office.
