They have worked me in when I had a toothache, even on a Sunday, and referred me to a specialist if needed. All the staff are friendly and helpful. My dental hygienist, Ingrid, is awesome and has been cleaning my teeth for more years than I can count. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my dental care.

The procedures I’ve had over the years have never been nearly as bad as I thought they would be. Everyone is very professional, and very kind and helpful. We all find the humor wherever we can while I’m there. Of course the surroundings are immaculate. The waiting room is very pleasant. Check out time is pleasant. Fantastic experience: My family and I have been going to Konikoff for almost 20 years. The office staff are friendly, the hygienists are excellent, and Dr. Alisa Smith-Kayal is very thorough. We are very pleased with Konikoff at Wards Corner. If you don’t like frequent reminders about your appointments you might find that irritating. Admittedly, as a busy working parent, I find them very helpful!

Negative experience: The staff is very nice, but my issue is with the pricey quote I received for dentures for my 82-year-old father. I asked if any consideration could be given since he is on a fixed income, paying out of pocket, and a 30-year Navy veteran. Unfortunately, Ms. Roxbury was very dismissive and said nothing could be done. That these were “office prices”. Their prices are also about $1,000 higher than other providers in the area. Be cautious and make sure you’re an informed consumer when dealing with them.

Dr. Smith-Kayal was nice and efficient and answered all my questions. And Haley the Hygienist quickly did her measurements, also answered my questions, and described what my next plans could be. Fantastic experience: This Denistry is an amazing place, they check me in then within 5 minutes I was called back. They did x-rays, the doctor was in before the x-rays were done. Then the doctor came back as soon as they were done. You talk about professionalism, knowledge, listening to your concerns and positive feedback. This place is definitely one of a kind. I will be back for treatment but I will continue using their service. Dr. Jones was amazing and transparent about my care.

Never need to worry about any staff wearing nail extensions to work on your mouth (had couple of times at other dental clinics). Excellent timing, very short waiting. Been here over 10 years now. Still love it.

Fantastic experience: My appointment was scheduled for 9:00 am. I was seen very quickly. The only issue I experienced was checking out after my appointment. The waiting time was over 15 minutes and that's not exceptable. When a patient is finish with there appointment they are really to leave. A patient should not have to wait another 10, 15 minutes just to check out. This is the second time this has happened.

Fantastic experience: I am terrified of the dentist and Konikoff made me feel extremely comfortable and excited to keep up with my dental care. I let them know of my fear and they immediately did what they could to make sure I was comfortable and felt safe. They explained everything they were going to do in detail so I would not be surprised or nervous with what was going to happen. At the end of the appointment they showed me my X-rays and went into detail about the status of my teeth and what work was needed to be done. Will a claim be submitted to MetLife? Since I'm a novice at insurance options, I think I should have been advised to check with other dentists...BEFORE my appointment...

Negative experience: Treatment is always good but getting an appointment is next to impossible. My February appointment was cancelled due to snow and when I called to reschedule was told the first available was in October.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I, who live in Ohio, were visiting family in Norfolk when he developed an agonizing tooth infection. Since it was a Saturday, no dentists were open. We called several dentists who had emergency help lines. Dr. Smith was the only dentist to respond. She encouraged us to go to the ER for antibiotics, and she made time to see him on Monday morning. We will always be grateful for her caring response.
