Negative experience: Called for a broken tooth and they made an appointment for the next day at 12:45. I wound up running behind but they called at exactly 12:45 when I was 2 minutes away and the receptionist said they needed to reschedule me for being late. I said I’m pulling in the parking lot and asked about a grace period and she said there’s a 10 minutes grace period so they’ll have to see me even if I arrive by 12:50 (so why are you calling me?) So I am on the phone with this lady and walking in at 12:47 and she still is saying I’m cutting into someone’s appointment and she needs to reschedule me. It was literally TWO minutes, I had an emergency and $5000 worth of work to be done and she was so rude and lost the doctor all that money. Not going back.

Fantastic experience: I think this dental office is absolutely wonderful. The staff and Dentists are prompt and courteous and don't make you feel bad or a burden like other offices will if you do have issues that need to be taken care of. They are always listening to your concerns and questions and just listen to you. They are reasonably priced for the work that needs to be done. I highly recommend them and I will be continuing to go to get all my needs taken care of. :)

Negative experience: One thing I will say about this dentist office is that all the staff are very friendly. But I got an upper denture and a lower partial there about a year and a half ago and I am not pleased with the lower partial or the upper denture. I’m going to get a new partial and I’m going to a different dentist This time.. I went in for an adjustment just the other day and they wanted to charge me $81 just to tighten the clasp, something that literally took her about five seconds that I realize now I could have done myself with some pliers. Rather than me just leaving, she had the insurance person put it under a different code so they would pay for it. I feel bad for my insurance company for having to pay $81 for something that they shouldn’t have even charged me for at all. I paid enough for the partial that the adjustment should still be covered. if they had done a better job on it to begin with I would not need to have so many Adjustments.Not too thrilled with the quality of the upper denture either. Dr. Aultman told me when I first went in that All their dentures were “top of the line”. I do like the look of the upper denture, but I would not call the quality of it top-of-the-line as it has dents and scratches in it from my real teeth, hitting it already and it’s only a year and a half old. I also have no suction at all, which I’m not happy with as I have to use a ton of paste to hold it in and it won’t even make it through two meals without me having to glue it back in. I was actually going to go back to them to get a new partial as they have all my records and did the first one, but when I called to set up the appointment, I got a call back from whoever was over the part where they clean your teeth, wanting me to set up to have the four teeth that I do have cleaned. I told her I didn’t want to do that. I just wanted to come in for the consultation for the new partial when she pressed me and asked me all those times didn’t I say something about not being happy with it when she asked me why I wanted a new one I just said you know what never mind and hung up and decided then that I would find a new dentist office to get my new upper denture and partial. Of course, I told them in the beginning that I was not happy with it, but there was nothing I could do short of paying for another one by that point they had already adjusted it and altered the look of it as much as they could without making a new one.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at Aultman, from the Reception to the Dr. Is top notch! All are aimed at making the patient feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a compassionate dental office.

Fantastic experience: The ladies & gents are absolutely phenomenal at Aultman Dental. I have been to many offices in my time, all over the state o Alabama, but Aultman will certainly be my home going forward. Was referred by a dear friend & I was nervous my first visit, & Jamie Meads was my first hygienist, & she was great, she made me feel at home, & very informative. It had been years since I had been to the dentist, so she explained to me that what I was needing was a deep cleaning procedure. I requested for her to do it if she could. She took care of that process for me, & has taken care of me ever since. This was roughly 2 years ago, & we have since developed not only a client relationship, but have become friends. Kimberly is great too, she has always taken care of me, & have always been very informative with any & all information I need about my own profile with Aultman. I know the whole team there are super great too because my two buddies each have a different Hygienist , & they are totally happy with them from what I understand. My experience with these ladies, & the two dentists I have seen the past couple years have been great! Thanks for a very professional, friendly, and just a down right home experience that you all take pride in being part of !

Fantastic experience: For the past three years Aultman Dental has treated my brother; a disabled veteran confined to a wheelchair without an ability to clearly communicate. While rendering my brother treatment, they have always treated him with dignity and respect. The care has been rendered to him while he remained in his wheelchair and not in a dental chair. I was very touched that their staff sent me a card after my husband passed away five weeks ago. It was signed by the entire staff. Positive experience: I was at Aultman dental today for some dental work. Because I have parkinson's disease I sometimes have issues with swallowing. Today was one of those days. So after the dental assistance lay the chair back she put a mouth block in my mouth to keep it open along with about a 3in rubber square around the tooth to be worked on i started having issues with my swallowing. I set up because of this and because I felt like I couldn't breathe (first time for this to happen). So she took everything out of mouth. I apologize to her and her response to me was (with a tone) I'll have to put everything back. I did ask to be gased ( first time ever) so between that and Dr Aultman using a smaller mouth block along with raising the chair up some I was able to get thru the procedure. I hope I never have her as a assistant again......

Fantastic experience: I enjoy coming in there and getting my teeth cleaned the Hillel that did mine both times is really great!! And I’m in and out within 45 minutes so I can get to work . And I don’t mind coming in early at 7:00 am . Wish Dr.s office was like your office!

Fantastic experience: Hey y'all! Just wanted to recommend Aultman Dental for all you dental needs. They always do a great job and are there when needed! Went in today and had my semi-annual checkup. Brook did a great job taking my SAFE digital x-ray's and doing my cleaning. No pain at all! Doc Aultman came in to do his final check and, well, don't tell him but his jokes? Really bad! Learn some new material before next February doc! I can share some dad joke if needed! Great job as always!

Fantastic experience: Best dentist I've ever gone to! In my 62 years. Gives you truthful expectations meeting my needs with partials and dentures and re made my old ones back into perfectly fitting new ones with one try-in! Done in a timely manner and you don't have to wait long when you come in on time for your appt. All the staff is cheerful and so professional and personal! I'm so glad I found this dentist in the town of Pell City.

Negative experience: Dr Cheng was adamant on putting bone graft in. I was there with a chipped tooth and after x-rays he requested the tooth be pulled. After anesthetic shots he again was pushing the bone graft and implant. I found that his skills in the extraction of my tooth were less than adequate since I have had other extractions in the past performed by other dentists. My last extraction was done by DR Altman with great skill and no discomfort. In short DR Cheng will never perform another procedure on me.

Fantastic experience: I had my first cleaning today with Aultman Dental Clinic, and I will have to say it was the most thorough dental visit I have ever had. Everyone was so nice and friendly, the care from the hygienist and the doctor was superb. I would highly recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: A state of the art dental facility and loved Dr. Aultman. Probably the best facility in the area.. Dr. Aultman diagnosed a tooth alignment issue and quickly fixed it before I went on Vacation and saved me a lot of painful days.

Fantastic experience: Until I started using Aultman Dental a few years ago, I had never in my life looked forward to going to the dentist. Everyone I've interacted with there has been cordial, kind, helpful, and very competent. There may be other dental facilities out there that are as good, but I seriously doubt you will find any that are better. 05/16/2025. Never thought I'd hear myself say it, but I'm still enjoying going to the dentist. I had to delay my cleaning for over 6 months due to heart surgery. So, I had a little more build-up than usual. A very pleasant "D" took it in stride and had me cleaned up and out quickly. As usual, everyone there was very friendly.
