My anxiety with dentists is real but Liz, the dental hygienist and Santiago made my first appointment really smooth. And Dr Orlando as well answering my concerns and questions and making sure that I was comfortable and taken cared of. Fantastic experience: Amazing place, friendly staff and excellent doctors.

Negative experience: For a simple cleaning and to check my Invisalign it took almost 2 hours! I feel like every time I go to this dentist, all they care about is how much money they can get out of the appointment. There seems to be a new dentist every time as well.

Fantastic experience: Even before I stepped into the office, I was impressed! The scheduling process was extremely thorough, and the staff was so patient and helpful when it came to dealing with my insurance questions and issues. That level of care and attention carried through my entire experience. Once I arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The customer service was outstanding!! every staff member was kind and professional. Carmen made sure my 87 years old mom, (the patient) and I felt comfortable the whole time. The rest of the dental team was also very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my visit. It’s rare to find a dental office that combines expertise, friendliness, and true patient care so well. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: All positive from the interior, front desk people, thoroughness & education from the best hygienist I’ve ever had in my life, testing available, cleaning & discussion with the dentist. Didn’t encourage extra costs because they weren’t necessary at this point. Answered every question & more including improvements I could make going forward. Parts of it were like going to a college class and coming out with so much more knowledge than what I went in with. It was all more than I could have ever imagined. HIGHLY recommend this team!

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with this clinic’s communication. They never answer the phone directly — every time you call you’re transferred to a contact center that is completely unhelpful. I made an appointment and have been waiting 15 days for a call from their office to confirm whether they accept Ameritas insurance. Ameritas themselves confirmed they do, but the clinic said their info might be outdated and that I had to wait for the office call (which never came). I’ve called four times trying to follow up, and on my last call (Sept 30th at 2:30 pm), Ashley was beyond rude and completely unhelpful. This is not the level of service you’d expect from a healthcare provider.

Fantastic experience: It's hard to find a dentist who is truly honest, gentle, and kind, so when Dr. Orlando moved from the Hunters Creek area to Winter Garden, I was genuinely sad. But I still make the trip, because he's one of the best dentists in Orlando! My dental hygienist, Gloria, is amazing, and the entire staff is always welcoming and professional. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been searching for a new dentist that I can trust ! My former one of 10 yrs no longer takes my insurance . Most offices at the first appointment sched you for hours of x rays and then make you come back for a cleaning. Hamlin listened to me and my first appointment I got my cleaning . The hygienist Kristen was amazing no pain !! Great experience only thought to add is my old dentist had headphones so you don’t have to hear the tools . So bring your own ear pods :)

There have been times where I've had to wait well past my appointment time, but these instances have been rare overall. I recently had a cleaning done and Tiffany did an excellent job. She was very thorough and explained everything that she was planning to do and why. I would highly recommend coming here.

Negative experience: I was a patient at this dental practice several years ago and consistently found their recommendations questionable. On multiple occasions, I sought second opinions from other dentists, and their findings did not align with those provided by this office. Additionally, their billing practices raised significant concerns. During a divorce, they refused to see me unless I paid off my ex-husband’s balance, claiming it was a “family account”—despite the fact that we were individually insured. Years after my account was fully paid and closed, I was contacted by the office regarding an insurance billing error they had made. The insurance company had apparently requested a refund, and the practice was now asking me to cover the amount. I informed them that I would not be returning due to past concerns and requested documentation of the billing issue, along with clarification on the applicable statute of limitations. I also reminded them that Florida has legal protections in place against surprise billing practices. Despite their promise to send the requested documents and update their records—oddly including removing my ex-husband from the account, even though they were aware of our separation—they failed to follow through. Furthermore, I was told I owed the balance immediately, even though the billing representative admitted that other patients were given 90 days to pay under similar circumstances. She also acknowledged that I was not the only patient affected by this error.

Negative experience: Very expensive experience, I went for a cleaning and they came out that I had to have a deep cleaning and that I had a cracked motor in the back, which I needed a crown. After the cleaning was done they made a temporary crown when they got the real one they put it in. They didn’t fit right they had to do more work on my tooth. I felt that the guy who was doing the work did not know what he was doing. He actually drew up the crown on the floor and try to put it back in my mouth. I said you’re not gonna put that back in my mouth like that anyway, I paid for it. I had trouble at first I just went into the crown, but I have less than two years. The crown came off, no guarantee so all that money and I need a new crown because I lost it. Don’t know if I ate it. would not spend more money in this location?

Fantastic experience: Everyone was fantastic from start to finish! Vanessa was great, made me feel comfortable, explained each step and went above and beyond to make sure I understood everything. The way they operate as a team made the experience easy. Kim was fantastic as well and made the process easy when getting my mouth worked on and the doctor was fast, and made the work done very easy! Great experience here!

Positive experience: Once the insurance issues were resolved-it took 4 or 5 months- we began the procedures. All went well but the temporary crowns continue to malfunction I imagine once the permanent crowns are installed all will be better.

Positive experience: I actually had a great first visit to Hamlin Groves. I had x-rays and a cleaning done. They also went over all the dental areas of concern. When I paid for my service, I received a receipt but didn’t receive a printout of all of the work I needed done. After a few days, I called the office and left a message asking about one thing the dentist had mentioned. It was about Invisaligns. The dentist recommended an orthodontist for that procedure. I left a voicemail asking if their office was recommending an orthodontist or should I choose one. I waited three days and never heard back from them. From that point on I just thought that maybe I needed to find a new dentist. I was sad about it as I really liked how well my appointment had gone. I will say the one appointment I had was great. I was just disappointed at not having a dental plan printed out for me and not having my call returned.

Fantastic experience: Came into the office for an issue I had with another dental office. Dr. Froyan was amazing. He helped me with the pain and shaved down the crown to help my bite. What a caring and helpful staff. Would 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Anthony is so good at what he does, I had 4 fillings to get done and he finished in less than 20 minutes. It’s the next day and I have 0 pain and it’s like I never got anything done. Carol was who I saw and talked to before he came in and she’s very sweet and seems very knowledgeable. She ensured that I was taken care of and had a good experience. I don’t like going to the dentist, but these two make it so that I don’t dread going. I drive an hour just to go to them because having a good experience is so worth it. Dream team!! Highly recommend

Negative experience: My appointment was for 9am. I checked in at the desk at 8:40 and sat down in the lobby. Other Customers were arriving and being taken back to the dentist while I continued to wait for 45 minutes. I asked the gal at the desk if they forgot about me. She looked at me as if I just walked in and asked me my name again. She couldn’t even find my paperwork. I was upset the whole apartment! The dentists here are ok but their office staff are marginal.

Negative experience: Hamlin Groves Dental is hands down the most unprofessional and disorganized dental office I’ve ever dealt with. From start to finish, the experience was a mess. First, expect to wait at least 40 minutes past your appointment time in the lobby—no apology, no explanation, just radio silence. When they finally bring you back, they rush the entire process like they’re trying to beat a stopwatch, not care for your health. The hygienists are aggressive and careless. During my cleaning, one actually cut my gums, leaving me in pain. When I pointed it out, not only did they refuse to apologize, they actually seemed annoyed that I brought it up. Zero accountability, zero professionalism. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a whole five minutes with the actual dentist, who—surprise—immediately jumps into a hard sell for Invisalign or other cosmetic procedures. No meaningful conversation about your dental health, just a clear push for upselling. Worse yet, they essentially threaten to withhold basic services like cleanings unless you agree to additional procedures—most of which aren’t covered by insurance. Then comes the kicker: they’ll hand you a large bill right after the appointment, and months later, you’ll get another bill for a service they claimed would be covered. Completely unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and try literally any of the 10 other dental offices in the Winter Garden/ Hamlin area. Hamlin Groves Dental is a place you want to avoid like the plague.

Positive experience: The dentist is FANTASTIC. highly recommend! Best Dentist I’ve ever been to. However, billing is typically extremely frustrating. They constantly confuse my insurance with my wife’s, causing extra “payment due” issues, rebilling, or “refused benefit” issues. I’m only posting this because I was asked to review.

Negative experience: Front desk staff has a high turn over for a reason. I asked to get a bill corrected because for the past 6 years going here I have another wrong charge. I got passive aggressive treatment for their incompetence. The other women at the front were gossiping about another patient. They’ve officially lost our families business. We love the doctors the rest of the staff is just tiring to keep seeing.

Negative experience: Prices for services are high. Hygienist wasn’t gentle even though I expressed pain. Dentist was in and out so fast after revealing I have oral health concerns. Also, my appointment was booked at least 2 months ahead and I was called two days before my appointment to notify me they have to reschedule my appointment. I asked why and the first woman said, “ we are short a hygienist.” Then I started to express my grief because I have had this appointment for some time and she hung up on me. I called back and the second woman told me it’s being rescheduled for a staff meeting during my appointment time. And continues to tell me I won’t be able to get an appointment for awhile, but will put me on a list to call if one pops up. I expressed my grief and all of a sudden I get a sooner appointment.

Fantastic experience: The Dr’s at Hamlin Dental Care and their staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Kristen is always gentle and efficient with my cleanings. Everyone there are personable, and I always feel at ease.

Negative experience: Initially gave a great review, today 2/3/2025 I came in complaining in pain from the thousands of dollars spent on a crown in 2020, I was told it’s a consultation and the doctor and the tech spoke and the doctor said on front of me to the technician do a quick xray to see what’s going on NO CHARGE, suddenly at check out I was just as the desk asking for my past notes and preparing to leave and they suddenly presented me with a bill of $106 I said what? The doctor said no charge and I came to have him see the work I paid for, Lizi aka (KAREN) immediately said since you said your not going to pay gather your belongings and you need to leave, I said the doctor said no charge can you have him come out? Then because I noticed their signage for soliciting REVIEWS I took a picture of it and KAREN AKA LIZI SAID AND YOUR THREATENING TO WRITE US A bad review I need you to exit the office, I calmly respond this is how you treat people whom spent thousands of dollars here? We were one of their first patients when they opened my mother and I came in and even though they completely damaged her dentures and made her look like Jim Carey from the mask and since 2019 still in pain we said nothing and remained calm and kind. But to have the audacity to threaten to call the police at me say assume the situation will escalate, when someone is just calm asking for my file and to get direct clarification from the doctor that pocket my money, deserves a escort out, a police call when nobody was even yelling and guess what I recorded myself throughout the whole ordeal cause Karen#1 & Karen #2 already had an attitude and was provoking me to heat up and unsuccessfully did. Wrong guy to try that with. Do not recommend this place at all! FYI crowns should last longer than 4+ years and should not even indicate pain unless poorly cemented. Also those who need dentures STAY AWAY, they use a third party to make it and when my mother got hers not only did it not fit she looked like no joke THE MASK JIM CAREY I have photos to back that up too! Document everything this place will do what they need to hide their mistakes. ( Obviously this review I kept it here to let viewers see what I wrote the day of my procedure since I was asked to write one. It has dramatically changed from 5 to 1 Great service, very kind and careful when handling my precious teeth. Detailed and organized so I know what I need done, whats ahead, and preventative care for the future. Had my filings done as well as a crown and i barely felt any pain. Affordable with convenience being that I live only a few min away. Highly recommend.) not anymore

Fantastic experience: I had a crown pop off during vacation in Florida and was able to get into this office last minute. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the dentist took his time to explain how in the future things could be made better with the crown and then put it back on. I was in and out in about 30 minutes and had a great experience. If I lived here in the Orlando area I would go to this office.
