Positive experience: Service is fine. I don't like they tell you one price then when you go pay it's totally different. You need to let people know when you're adding services that will impact the cost

The hygienists are very nice and the front desk girls are very helpful and nice. They are especially helpful with all my insurance questions. Dr. Harandi is very attentive and concerned with my wellbeing. Add: Kristin, the receptionist, was more than helpful rescheduling our appointments, especially when she found out that it was so close to my husband's and mine's anniversary. Very, very nice group at the Hapeville location.

On my most recent visit, Monday, 22 September 2025, I was quoted $138 for my routine six-month dental cleaning—consistent with the amount I paid during my last visit in March. This amount was confirmed by the front desk staff at the time of my check-in. However, when I went to check out, I was suddenly told by a different staff member that the cost had increased to $397. This dramatic and unexplained change in pricing felt deceptive and misleading. I was not informed of any change in procedures, codes, or insurance issues that would justify such a significant price increase. I believe this constitutes a classic example of bait-and-switch tactics, which is deeply concerning and not something I expected from a practice I have trusted for many years. While I would like to acknowledge that the hygienist was professional and thorough, I was also troubled by the treatment plan proposed by Dr. Harandi. He recommended the removal and replacement of two existing gold crowns with porcelain crowns without offering a clear clinical explanation or rationale. This lack of communication further eroded my confidence in the care I was receiving. I am requesting that you review my case and correct the billing discrepancy. Additionally, I urge your office to adopt more transparent pricing practices moving forward, so that patients are not placed in uncomfortable or compromising positions after treatment. Due to this experience, I regret to inform you that I will not be returning to your office for future dental care, including my next scheduled cleaning in March 2026. Fantastic experience: I hate dentists. Terrified of them due to some very bad experiences. Coming here changed that for me. Belisa was INCREDIBLE. Couldn’t thank her enough and Dr. Ali was kind, quick and made sure I was comfortable. Had to come in for an emergency root canal and found a dentist come and now not afraid to come do a cleaning. So glad to have found Great Expressions

Fantastic experience: All of the staff were great! Dr. Harandi took the time to explain his diagnosis and was honest in giving me a referral to a specialist for TMJ and gave his honest opinion on what not to do to try to treat my symptoms which is to not have anyone cut on my jaw. He also made my jaw pain go away temporarily by pressing on the muscle in my jaw.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 recommend! They are very friendly and efficient at this location. The dentist has not examined me yet after two visits and have not had X rays but hopefully that will happen next time.

I’d been served at a different location and was never pleased at any time…I intentionally searched for a different location in a different area of town. I made the best choice with the Hapeville location. The facility is beautiful and extremely clean. The front staff is professional, friendly and welcoming. The hygienist was gentle and thorough with a very pleasant personality. The dentist is professional, pleasant and offered a dental plan to address my needs. I highly recommend the Hapeville location!

I had so much anxiety coming in to the dentist and it had been so long since I’ve been and they didn’t make me feel bad at all, they just said “welcome back!”. Everyone was so kind. Negative experience: I'd been going here since about 2004 and only recently have I realized that I probably didn't immediately need crowns and root canals for everything. Robert was the best part of that place, and when he left, there was really no reason for me to stay, as I came to realize that he was the main source of compassion there. Pauline at the checkout desk has very much 'mean girl' energy, in that she'll talk about people with open disdain in earshot of the very open waiting room. Dr. Harandi himself was always cool with me, but I can definitely see how his very direct way of speaking may rub some people the wrong way. This isn't the place for you if you're an anxious person, or if you have chronic illnesses that might affect your ability to make appointments consistently.

Positive experience: I’ve been a patient at Great Expressions for 10 years (at the Hapeville location) and that alone speaks volumes about their great service. From the front desk to the hygienist chair to checkout, the experience is always a good one. Excellence matters! Keep up the good work!!!

Fantastic experience: If you want an honest and great quality dental care look no further. Always treated with respect and friendliness. Never had the impression or feeling they were suggesting services that were actually not needed like in other dental offices. Top level care from everyone we dealt with in the several years we’ve been customers. We moved several years ago on the north side of Atlanta and the commute there is not very convenient anymore but the service received is well worth any commute if you live in the greater Atlanta area. Great people make a place great.

Fantastic experience: Stacey, the dental hygienist at GE Dental Clinic in Hapeville is one of the best. Knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and detailed all rolled into one. She really knows dental hygiene and we made a commitment with one another that I will keep my own teeth to the end! I’m in my 70’s and so far so good! The office is cozy, clean, and comfortable. I always enjoy my visits there.

Fantastic experience: I went to see Hanna at Great Expressions in Hapeville for my cleaning, and as always, it was such a pleasant experience! She is such a sweetheart and a true professional. My appointment was at 8:30 AM, and by 9:05 AM I was already in my car heading home. She always starts on time and works efficiently without ever making the visit feel rushed. I’ve been seeing Hanna for years now, and my teeth and gums have never been in better condition. She takes great care to make sure the cleaning is thorough but never painful. I always leave feeling confident about my dental health. If you’re looking for a hygienist who’s professional, kind, and genuinely cares about her patients, I highly recommend Hanna. She’s the best!

Fantastic experience: This place is s a very professional experience the staff are ready to get the job completed own my first visit I didn't want to get certain things done because I didn't come prepared for the things they were ready to get started on the very first day the only problem I have is the long wait for another appointment but I know it's because of how busy they are but I have never seen anything like this office before you have to be prepared when you come have money or all that is needed the things I collected were all positive I love places that handle busy and are conducted in this manner if you hate nonsense this is the place for you I sleep in my upper dentures the doctor ask if I sleep in them I replied no a person who has seen all types of gums teeth you can't fool them so you should be as truthful as possible this is a great place friendly staff it's always going to be one trying to be a little mean but times they warm up a little

Negative experience: Absolutely Horrible Experience with Dr. Ali Hernadi – Do Better. I had one of the worst dental experiences of my life at Great Expressions in Hapeville, Georgia, and I feel compelled to warn others—especially people of color—about Dr. Ali Hernadi. From the start, this visit was a mess. The front desk manager was rude and dismissive while collecting my insurance information—no courtesy, no patience, just an unprofessional attitude that immediately set the tone for what became an even worse experience. Dr. Hernadi himself was equally disrespectful. During my procedure, he kept sticking an instrument in my mouth that caused me to gag, even though I told him clearly that I do not have a history of gagging with Novocaine. In my 46 years, no dentist has ever done that. But instead of listening, he continued without care, poking wherever he wanted and ignoring my discomfort. He was short, cold, and lacked even basic bedside manner. In the end, he didn’t even complete the procedure. He just slapped my temporary crown back on and sent me out—in more pain than when I arrived. Doctors like Dr. Hernadi are exactly why many people of color mistrust the healthcare system. When a patient clearly states something feels wrong or uncomfortable, it should be heard—not dismissed or treated like an inconvenience. This visit was not just unprofessional—it was traumatic. I will never return, and I urge others to steer clear. Patients deserve to be treated with dignity, not as a nuisance.

Negative experience: I’ve been coming to this dentist office for a while and have usually had a decent experience, but today was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. The hygienist, who normally greets me warmly and engages in conversation, was cold and distant—she barely said hello. It felt like her entire demeanor toward me had changed. I believe this shift was related to a previous issue I had with the front office. They canceled my appointment without notice and then made it difficult for me to reschedule. I had to call back and firmly push for them to fix their mistake. During that call, I expressed that I wasn’t trying to argue—I just wanted my appointment handled correctly. Still, no one apologized, and when I came in today, it felt like I was being treated as if I had done something wrong. The office manager, who had been part of that earlier scheduling issue, didn’t speak to me or acknowledge me at all. Her body language made me feel like I was being labeled as "problematic." The same energy came from the hygienist. It made the entire visit uncomfortable and disheartening. The only person who treated me with kindness and professionalism was the tech who took me to the room and scheduled my next visit. I’m leaving this review not out of spite but because no patient should be made to feel unwelcome or mistreated for simply advocating for their appointment to be handled correctly. I hope this feedback encourages the office to reflect on how they interact with patients, especially when a mistake is made on their end.

I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good dentist. There was actually a mistake where I booked my appointment online but it wasn’t actually on the schedule. And instead of just having me book another day and have to leave, the receptionists checked with the doctor to see if they could squeeze me in and I was able to get a cleaning which the hygienist did a fantastic job doing. My teeth have never felt cleaner!!
