Fantastic experience: This office has all the latest technology in dentistry, yet their pricing is very fair. Dr. Poulos is very knowledgeable and he does it all! From fillings to root canals to implants, this is a one stop shop, unless they feel they need to refer you out. The office has a warm feel to it and the staff is very helpful and patient. She has performed regular cleanings and a deep cleaning for me which helped immeasurably with my periodontal disease. Dr Paulos, unlike other dentists I've seen, did not try to replace every crown in my mouth. The treatment recommendations have only been for what I need. .

Fantastic experience: Does not get any better than this clinic! I was traveling for work all week, got home mid-afternoon on a Friday and in a lot of pain from an abscess. I called around and Doc called me back at 7 pm and said absolutely, come on in. Two hours later I was so grateful that he had performed a root canal that same night, easing all the pain I had. I looked on the internet and called a couple offices, many had appointment dates days or weeks out. My Scottsdale Dentist office was available immediately. I had my first visit very early in the day on a weekend. I was very glad, as I needed a crown taken care of. They were able to fix the problem and I was able to go to work afterward. This office has the best Dentist and staff, friendly, professional, personable and always available. I have been a patient for 15+ years now and they have always done an excellent job. Fantastic experience: I was up all night with a filling that was too high. My normal dentist office wasn’t open on the weekends, so I thought I would just have to endure the pain. I gave My Scottsdale dentist a call and they had me in 30 minutes later feeling much better! The staff was friendly and attentive, and I was able to get my fillings fixed. Fantastic experience: Doctor Steven was so amazing! I called in around 11pm-12am the previous night and was in a lot of pain in my tooth, he was able to write me a subscription to a 24hr Walgreens and I was able to get some pain meds within 20 mins. He then called me the next morning and offer for me to get an appointment first thing that morning where I was able to get an exam and a root canal which was amazing cause most places scheduled you out weeks before the procedure. Everything from such a seamless process super grateful for my Scottsdale Dentist and Doctor Steven 10/10 suggest going here.

Fantastic experience: Last night the crown on one of my front teeth fell off leaving a missing tooth in the spot. I contacted My Scottsdale Dentist's office by email. When their office opened this morning I received a call letting me know they would see me to review what could be done. Dr. Paulos was able to temporarily cement the crown back until a partial they ordered will replace it. I am thrilled with what they were able to do for me and I agreed with with their treatment plan. Their charge was reasonable for what they did and I can smile again.

Fantastic experience: WOW what a great experience! Haven't been to the dentist in many many years and only a handful of times in the past 16 year after getting out of the military and I could not be more pleased with my experience! From when I first walked in I saw smiling faces and the staff was friendly and helpful, even assisted me with looking up my insurance since it wasn't coming up in the system. As I went in the back the first thing I heard was multiple greetings and I saw a clean facility and it was so easy to get my X-rays and scans done and then they completed my cleaning and I left feeling great! Most people would never have expected to walk out of a dentists office into the bright Arizona sunshine ground excited about my oral hygiene and looking forward to my next dentist appointment! Update from June 6th 2025 - great to get back in and continue with routine maintenance and I'm very happy to have gotten to visit with everyone today and I highly recommend you contact them if you need a dentist!

Positive experience: Open on Saturday good. Dealing with an inexperienced tech not so much. This child wasn’t even an employee but someone who worked for a different dental facility who was called due to lack of staff. Not her fault that she had never worked with the technology she was using. Other staff had to essentially do the work for her…Also front desk couldn’t charge me for service because their internet was down meaning I have to make a special trip to their office. Don’t even get me started on past issues. Time for a change .

Fantastic experience: I called at 6:00 am on a Saturday , and was seen at 7:15am. Dr Paulos was professional, compassionate and overall , just excellent. While I sought his help because of an emergency tooth issue ( end result - implant had to be removed), I would frequent his practice for routine dental work. Staff were great as well. This focus on patient need was refreshing and I am most appreciative.

Negative experience: I had an emergency retainer issue and called the office to make an appointment. When booking, they told me I had a past due balance of $300+ from 6 years ago for which I’ve received no communication about for 6 years. They said there was a miscommunication with my insurance over my hyphenated name. I went back through my records and found where I had provided them my current insurance cards in advance of my appointment. When I got a bill after, I called them and was told not to worry about the bill because they were working with insurance. Humana apparently never paid the dentist for a basic cleaning and x rays which was covered because of the name issue, but I did not receive any further bills. I explained that and the person on the phone said don’t worry, let’s just get you booked for tomorrow. She told me I would have to have my retainer replaced and quoted me an amount for that service + the office visit fee, which I agreed to. At the appointment, they tried to do a full set of X-rays without question so I questioned if that was included in the quote / necessary. They went to check and came back, saying they had the wrong issue for me so actually X-rays wouldn’t be necessary. Thank goodness I questioned it. I sat down and they brought me a quote for the correct amount discussed on the phone, which I happily signed off on. The dentist did not replace my retainer but fixed the old one. Same price. I was in the chair for 10 minutes max. Then I go up to the counter to pay and they ambush me, won’t let me pay for the current services I signed off on until the accounting lady comes up from the back to discuss the past due amount from 6 years ago. They have me sit down and wait for her. Meanwhile I’ve been coming in their office twice a year for 6 years with my child and not a word, no bills, etc. I told them I already discussed this with the person on the phone the day before. The accounting person says she sent me an email 6 years ago to notify me that Humana couldn’t identify me and left me a message, which I did not get. No further bills or communication for 6 years. But she demands I pay $150 on top of what I agreed to pay for the current services and basically says she is doing me a favor. I explained again that when this happened the person I spoke to said they were working directly with my insurance and not to worry about it. Her direct quote was, “well sometimes people who answer the phone don’t know what they are talking about.” Not providing adequate training to their staff is apparently the customer’s problem. I paid the $150 + current charges so I could just leave and told them to send our dental records because we won’t be continuing there. They obviously have plenty of customers because she didn’t care at all. Just incredibly disorganized, zero accountability, and rude. Willing to cause a scene in their own office and bully customers over their own billing errors.

Fantastic experience: So many good things to say about this place! First off, Dr. Phillips is a sculptor and master of cosmetic dentistry. Another dentist screwed up my front tooth with a warped and chipped overlay. Dr. Philip spent a full hour collecting it. And it looks great!! Dr. Polous provided me an excellent implant for a tooth that had to be pulled due to a failed root canal buy another practice. He really took his Time to align the tooth with my other teeth and my bite feels soooo much better than it has for over a year! Finally, Jo the hygienist who has 35 years of Dental experience, gave me a wonderful cleaning. She was very attentive and went over one area again at my request without complaint. It’s so refreshing to be working with a practice that has a commitment to excellence and care for its clients!

Fantastic experience: Another good experience today with Dr.P. here at My Scottsdale Dentist, and that's the way it should be, Right? My crown came out last night while chewing some soft chews of Whether Originals. I called the office and Dr.P answered the phone, listened to my pflight, calmed me down, then made certain I got an appointment that was comfortable for me. He put the crown back on, also made certain it was fitted and I was comfortable with it before I left the office. Dr.P got the job done, painless. A visit to your trusted dentist office does not have to be scary.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been coming to see Dr Poulos and his team every six months (most years) for almost 30 years. Michelle and Sonia have taken care of my husband and me and watched our three kids grow up as they treated us with kindness, professionalism, and flexibility. Dr Stevens was a lovely addition for many years until his recent retirement, but the newest doc is young and seems happy to make this practice his new home. I know there are some fine dentists in the Valley. I appreciate this practice for keeping us on track.

Fantastic experience: As always, Dr Poulos and his staff performed wonders. I like his business so much that I fly in from another state just to be under his care. He has all of the latest technologies to make what could be unpleasant, almost relaxing. He has saved me on ill-timed emergencies like on a Father’s Day afternoon to pre-vacation tooth cracks that would have forced a trip cancellation. I have always feared the dentist, but not anymore. Today, Dr Poulos had Freddie as an assistant. You would be very lucky to have them both attend to you. As for pricing, I find the rates extremely fair considering the care. Like I said, I fly in to see him. His in/house lab is the icing on the cake. A crown made on the same day as the tooth extraction! I won’t go anywhere else as long as Dr Poulos decides to keep his practice.

Fantastic experience: This place was amazing. I broke my denture last night at dinner with my kids. I was calling everywhere. I started receiving texts from one of the places I called that I didn’t get an answer. The doctor introduced himself, provided the address and asked for my information. I had a meeting coming up and he got me into the office by 7:30 in the morning and my denture was fixed the same day. The office staff was pretty phenomenal as well. They were kind and easily approachable. My entire experience there was way more deserving than just five stars. Fantastic experience: Dr. Poulos is awesome! Found him about 4 years ago when looking for some emergency treatment for my husband. Not only were they quick to get him looked at, they were even open on Saturdays for emergency services. Its rare you find a place that goes above and beyond for patients. My husband is super sensitive to loud drill noises and all the fun that comes with seeing a dentist. He allowed my husband to wear headphones during the appointment to help with the anxiety and even let him barrow his own headphones on an earlier appointment when he forgot to bring his own. Dr. Poulos has not once ever been judgmental or made my spouse feel bad for having lots of teeth problems. I love how laid back he is, it truly sets the tone for the office making you feel at ease. Dr. P has been a life saver!

Fantastic experience: While on holiday, hubby lost a filing. We had an emergency dental appointment on Jan 31 with Dr Poulos - what a marvelous dentist. Got hubby patched up enough so it didn’t ruin our vacation. The staff were marvelous, kind and attentive. If we moved to Scottsdale permanently we’d definitely continue at his practice.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency this weekend and called the Dentist on Friday night. He answered immediately and scheduled me for Saturday morning. I have never been treated so well.
