Negative experience: I don’t typically leave reviews, but my daughter and I were both seen here. They made my daughter cry because they were so rude. They also told both of us that we had cavities. Something didn’t feel right, so we got a second opinion-and there were no cavities to be found! I just can’t recommend this group of dentists. I feel like they are all just out for your hard earned money.

Negative experience: The dentist I saw was okay, but the office staff, including the manager leave a lot to be desired. I have tried 5 times to resolve a billing issue and still no call back. Needless to say, I won't be going back!

Negative experience: Staff and Dentist were very nice..however the service was beyond slow. Was almost here for 2 hours to get a tooth inspected. The dentist finally came in took about 5 minutes to inspect and talk to me and then tried to schedule me for another appointment as if it’s already not hard enough to take off work I’m not sure if they overbooked their schedule or what but being there for 2 hours for a quick examination is not ideal.

Negative experience: Incompetent people, made an appointment and verify it and it showed no appointment. Highly not recommend not going there. Rude front desk women , dirty waiting area.

Negative experience: I scheduled for cleaning and new pt exam. I waited 25 min after my appointment time, before going back. I explained that my other office had my x-rays. They did not help in getting x-rays from my previous dentist. They took x-rays I wasn't due for. I only saw a hygienist for my perio chart. After seeing the doctor I asked about my cleaning, they had my appointment for a complete exam only. By this time I had been at the office almost 2 hours. They diagnosed 6 cavities. I go to the dentist regularly and I doubt that I have that many cavities. Especially since none showed in the x-rays. I am extremely disappointed and will be looking for a different dentist. UPDATE: I went to another office and I did not have any cavities.

Negative experience: Got a two root canals done just to be referred to a specialist because of infection in both. the specalist said they didnt get everything out during the root canal and if they knew the dentist they would give a rude call for shabby work. Now i have to pay to have it done AGAIN but all my insurance is up for the year because of it.

Fantastic experience: We recently had the pleasure of having Reagan as our hygienist today and I learned more about teeth health in 10 minutes than I ever have in 43 years! She was excellent and explained what was happening with my son’s teeth and products that can help in the future.

Fantastic experience: I was apprehensive about going to a dentist office because to be honest l was afraid of being judged because of my teeth. They were kind and and caring and genuinely seem to want the best for me. However, it is truly challenging getting through via phone. Left several phone messages and not one returned call. I had to stop by the office in person to get my issues addressed.

Negative experience: I highly recommended y’all to someone and the dentist was really rude! Unprofessional! Do better! Made the patient cry. I won’t refer anyone else there and my whole family will be changing.

Fantastic experience: East Texas Dental is perhaps the most friendly and efficient dentist office I have ever visited all the staff and dentists are very easy to work with and very knowledgeable

Negative experience: I was referred to an oral surgeon by these guys just a few months ago. I was not satisfied with the oral surgeon because of their pricing and when asked east texas dental people to refer me to another surgeon I faced stiff resistance from the staff where they refused to refer me to another oral surgeon. You can't just force a provider onto someone. Patients should be able to choose a provider they feel comfortable with. Also they apply insurance benefits in a tricky way to the treatment plan so that it exhausts your limit faster.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. The technologist was very thorough and super knowledgeable. Dr. Kasem was great as well. I am very happy with the entire group!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first experience with oral surgery and tooth extraction. Quite a load for me but Dr. A is a super Dentist at her skills. Her assistant, April, has an infectious laugh which kept the procedure manageable. I have recommended many of my colleagues or their families to this practice. Give them a try. You will see what I mean.

Positive experience: The care I received at the facility was good, but I am glad I am aware and proactive about medications, because after a wisdom tooth removal, they prescribed me a pain medication I have told them I am allergic to. Luckily I am having minimal pain, so ibuprofen will be great.

Positive experience: East Texas Dental Group needs to update their Othro Late Policy to reflect what they are telling patients. I was 8 minutes late and was told that I had to reschedule my son's appointment because I was more than 5 minutes late which is different from what their written policy currently reflects. See photos. Their written policy states 10 minutes. She would not allow my son to be seen. She stated they were short staffed and my son's appointment is one hour long. Do you know how many times I have came to my son's appointment on time or even early and it took them 30 minutes past his appointment time to be calling back, alot! I never complained. I was patient. Now I am 8 minutes late for the first time and I was turned away and had to reschedule. That is a problem for me.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff!!! They helped me get my daughter seen with a dental emergency the same day I called when no one else would!! Thank y'all so much!!

Fantastic experience: The staff were all very professional and explained throughout my visit in express detail all of the "what's and why's " of how my visit with ETDA would take place, and that's exactly what occurred. The ultimate surprise however came when the Dr. himself came in and began his assessment. I braced myself for another disappointment but when he spoke about getting my mouth Healed FULLY..before beginning cosmetic work. I have been repeatedly met with "We can do both in tandem or even better yet graft some bone, remove some of my remaining teeth and replace them with implants. The look of his face when I instantly reached up from the chair grabbed his arm and began to cry..."Yesss!" I said! "YES!" Seemed to have given him quite a start. "chuckle" There was no way for him to have known the pain I had endured over the years or the mental anguish with each new upcoming dentist visit. I'm 54 yrs old ..I've seen more dentists than I care to say...not 1 has chosen this approach. I'll never leave ETxDental now.

Negative experience: I did not have a good experience. They took me back to the room quickly, but then left me to sit in a chair without being attended to for more than an hour and the people who were working on my teeth were not nice or courteous.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience at the orthodontist office, where I found that everyone I encountered was not only extremely nice but also highly professional and incredibly helpful. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately put the children at ease. I truly appreciated how each member of the staff maintained a fantastic attitude throughout our visit, making the entire process enjoyable. It’s clear that they genuinely care about their patients and take pride in their work. Keep up the excellent work! You are all doing a truly terrific job! Looking forward to our next visit! :)

Negative experience: ❗️Medicaid Patients Be Aware!! ❗️ After x-rays, the dentist (old man) came in to tell me that my daughter needed 7 root canals due to having cavities on baby teeth. I felt that to be a bit extreme, so I got a 2nd opinion from another facility. Sure enough the 2nd dentist didn’t mention one cavity and actually said she had a few signs of the beginning stages, but since it was on her baby teeth, it wasn’t an issue. I told him about the 1st dentist and he said he’s heard many practices do this a lot to patients on state insurance. It’s easy money for them. Could you just imagine the pain and suffering a child would go through over baby teeth that were about to fall out?! ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION!!! That was well over 5 years ago. I have told them many times to take me off their informational texts / emails, but apparently refuse. Plus, why trust a dentist office who uses stock photos for their references??

Positive experience: The Dentist was excellent and I really have no complaints with her treatment. However,I had a temporary crown fall out twice before the permanent crown was placed. My biggest complaint has to do with calling the office to recement my temporary crown. They never answer the phone nor listen to voice mails and return my callls. The front office seems to be understaffed.

Fantastic experience: I’ve always felt comfortable at this office due to the staff being very attentive and often checks on you during the procedure. My only complaint is I feel like a root canal shouldn’t take nearly three hours. My jaw was so sore from being open it so long. Other than that I was Pain free even with the numbing shot! (:

Negative experience: Scheduled for cleaning. Dentist or hygienist did not even clean my teeth and did all the xrays and scanning . Since I have good insurance , or shall I say I got the best insurance , they tried to add other things that are not even important to what I really need. All I need is cleaning and fill 2 cavities. They didn’t perform the cleaning instead they tried to reschedule me for another day for other extra procedure and even charged me $25 for just qtip swabbed me for fluoride . lol . This is ridiculous and hoping this goes to a higher management reevaluating what has been going on. I have heard some other complaints from customers that’s why they are loosing so many patients.

Positive experience: April was absolutely amazing! I hate the dentist but she made the experience really good for me today. Answer all my questions and prepared me after my extraction. Love to see the smiling faces really put me at ease.

Negative experience: Friendly staff ! Painful service / experience ! The staff never called the pharmacy after my appointment for pain medication or anything to help with nausea! Or returned my calls !

Fantastic experience: New to the area, so I needed to establish with a new dentist. The location is easy, the staff was friendly and the rates appear reasonable with my insurance.

Fantastic experience: April was so incredibly kind and comforting and patient with me throughout my appointment. She constantly reassured me and made me laugh. I went in very anxious about the appointment after not going to a dentist for almost 10 years & I am writing my review waiting for paperwork to leave because I want to make sure she is recognized. Outstanding person!!! I cant stress enough how much I appreciated her and the rest of the staff. Everyone was so kind from the moment I walked in the door.

Negative experience: I called East Texas Dental and they said they took my insurance. I came in and had an exam and trays. They didn't check my insurance in advance and I was out of network and charged. I would not have come under those circumstances

Negative experience: 1.5 hours spent just to have X-rays done and a referral for braces for my ten year old. They never even cleaned her teeth. They over-schedule and have no respect for people’s time or schedules. The amount of wait time between check in to check out is ridiculous.

Negative experience: Zero stars would be more accurate. My son has had braces on his teeth for almost 4 years and today he was told by the ortho to be more diligent wearing his rubber bands, and he wouldn’t have to keep his braces on so long… Unfortunately, today was the first time they told him to even wear rubber bands. They are very difficult to get in contact with to make appointments or have questions answered. We have also had MULTIPLE billing issues. I can’t wait to be done with this office.

Positive experience: They’re always so helpful, explains everything to you. Would definitely recommend Dr. Kassum , Shenek, Heather and also the billing young lady . Can’t remember if her name was Olivia but either way. Wonderful team gentle team.

Fantastic experience: Dr. A was wonderful and kind to my nervous 3yo. It was storming during our visit and the electricity went out briefly, and immediately the front desk staff and nurses came with flashlights to make sure my daughter was safe.

Negative experience: I am writing this for Kevin. First off Kevin bit into a pitce of pizza and his top plate broke into. This was after he had been down there with the pieces that had broken out.. on the bottom plate. Kevin died Feb, 10 .

Positive experience: The high pitched sound of the drill really hurt my ears. They are still ringing this evening. On my next visit I'll be sure to have some ear plugs.

Fantastic experience: It’s not just a job for them. They all truly care. I have a fear of dentist because I haven’t had good experiences in the past but they were so understanding and didn’t make me feel bad for being scared. The nurse even held my hand during the procedure and the doctor took it slow and easy to make sure I was comfortable. They also offer a way to set up a payment plan. Payment plans make it easier to be able to get help faster. This was truly my first good experience with a dentist and will recommend them to anyone. I already have my next appointment scheduled!

Fantastic experience: Lorena is the best hygienist that I have ever had work on me. I worked as a medical and dental analyst for heath insurance companies. So in my experienced opinion Lorena is one of the best in her field and is my permanent hygienist.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was nice from the ladies at the front desk to the Dr! They made sure I was completely comfortable and numb before and during my procedure! I will recommend them to anyone

Negative experience: I have been going to this location for several years, recently the practice was sold to a new dentist, the service i recieved today was not good. I have an allergy listed in my chart, it is clearly listed that I am allergic to mint/menthol. The dental assistant used mint gel to numb my mouth. After she put it on my gums to numb them, and I asked her about it, she slightly rinsed it, and I had to find a bathroom to finish rinsing it out, and take medication. The dental assistant said she had seen it listed in my chart and didn't think the mint flavored gel would be a problem. She told the dentist, who came in to do my filling, about it. The dentist proceeded to say it should be listed in my chart, and asked if it made me feel nascious, because most of the people who say it is an allergy feel nascious. I told her my symptoms, and she said, oh you're really allergic to it. I feel this shows a lack of regard for medical history, and a lack of regard for their patients. I will be searching for a new dental office for future dental needs.

Fantastic experience: They are always so honest, they tell you what the best plan of treatment would be even if you are wanting something different done, They take real good care of you! Definitely pleased with my experiences with them

Positive experience: Update: Wanted to gove a quick update to Fridays original visit. I would like to thank Dr. Kasem for making things right. Towards the end of the day Monday i went in person to the office after trying to call several times not being able to reach anybody on the phone. The office manager wasnt in and the one under the office manager wasnt in so i asked for the doctor. Im thankfull for his kindness and understanding that he made things right. I explained the issue but more importantly expressed how i felt the front officr staff was not appropriate in there words to me on Friday. Dr. kasem took out the tooth with no charge. The wrong tooth was taken out of my mouth!! I asked for two teeth, one on top and one on bottom. I specifically said several times the one on top is the last big one that has had a hole in it that has been getting bigger and holds food in it. I had been taking antibiotics for 2 weeks and been in pain. After being there 4 hours in top of that as well. When I got back to work finally and took out thw gauze is when I noticed the tooth I asked to be taken out was still there. I couldn't believe it!! I contact the office right away and was told by the girl that answered the phone that patients don't get to choose what teeth are taken out and that they didn't take out the wrong one. Shr began to talk a out root tips and I said mam there was never discussion about root tips. I told her I specifically described the big tooth with the big gaping hole in it. I asked if this is going to be remedied by not having to pay more money for there mistake. She says no because we didn't do anything wrong. I am a dental receptionist at another clinic in town and I have never told my patients they can not choose what tooth is to be taken out!!! I want a call from the office manager and I will never go here again!!!

Negative experience: My appointment was at 2. I didn’t leave until 5. They kept seeing other patients between doing my work. If I hadn’t already paid I would have left. I could have found another dentist to finish the work that was started. East Texas Dental has done all of my dental work. I’ve never had a problem with them before. Shortly after leaving my temporary crown cracked. Since I left at 5 the office was already closed. Will update once I get it fixed. (Updating) My last two appointments went well. The dental assistant that fixed my temporary crown was amazing. She had me in and out within 26 minutes. When I went to get my permanent crown I was there less than about an hour. The dentist assistant was nice and professional. Anytime she had to leave the room she let me know and checked on me through out my visit. The only issue I had was when the dentist had to drill my tooth down I wasn’t offered any to numb it. Even though my last two visits went well that doesn’t make up for the reason for the one star.

Negative experience: I received service here a while ago, and I got billed. When I tried to pay the bill, I couldn't get to anyone to take the money. I called multiple times and left voice messages. Now they sold my onfo to a collection agency that keeps calling 24/7. Disgraceful.

Negative experience: Scary place. They are incompetent and rude unfortunately. On top of that- super overpriced!! The only reason they have good reviews is because they beg you for 5 stars after your appointment.

Negative experience: Very slow service. I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment as requested and was not called back for 25 minutes. Ten minutes after my appointment time. The nurse didn't have the room set up and I had to wait longer for her to get tools. Would not recommend anyone coming here unless you like to wait. Staff was not friendly.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars to this place I would. I came for an annual check up. Found out I had a cavity, they were more than happy to get me in as soon as possible to fix the cavity. However, this entire process felt rushed, I didn’t even get a proper introduction from the Dr. himself & he seemed really busy and in a hurry to get my cavity filling done. Since the cavity filling I experienced a lot of discomfort and pain, I called a few times and was told this is normal but flash forward to November of 2024. The pain gets worse, I get a puss pocket in my gums. I get an emergency dentist appointment somewhere else. They do x-rays and it shows not only was the cavity filling improperly done, he drilled to the nerves to my tooth which isn’t normal for a cavity filling. He also left a pocket in there which in-turn turned into an infection. Now as of January into the new year, I am seeing a specialist to try and help save my tooth because of this mistake. It’s been very expensive. Very painful & frightening to say the least as I do have a fear of the dentist. My root canal has been a more tedious process than expected because of the damage. I honestly recommend going somewhere else that isn’t in a rush to get you in and out and tries to book as many people in the day as possible and will actually care about building a client relationship with you. The 2 times I visited really wasn’t the best experience besides one of the dental assistances who was actually nice and kept conversation with me when she did my x-rays but that was it. Please really do your research before booking an appointment with just anyone for your oral hygiene.

Negative experience: I had an appointment at 8am, when they first opened. It took 25 minutes just to get me into a room. After the dentist finished, they seated me in a room in the back, and I waited 40 minutes just to check out and no one else was waiting. Extremely dissatisfied and would not recommend. This is the 2nd time I’ve had to wait this long in the past 2 visits I’ve had.

Fantastic experience: By far the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I’ve been coming here for nearly a decade now, and they have always provided the best care. Whenever Im nervous, they talk me through the procedure and reassure me. They always have patience for my questions and worries, and are more than happy to explain treatments and options. They take amazing care of me every step of the way, and have helped me to recover my teeth, which I never thought was possible. I wouldn’t trust my dental care with anyone else. If you’re looking for a new dentist, look no further. They won’t let you down.

Positive experience: The hygienist was great , told me just what to expect and very gentle. But was a little upset at check out. Found out I had a credit from April which I was never notified. I had to pay my half before procedure and now I have a large credit but never refunded in 6 months

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this office. The staff was friendly a and Dr Yang is incredible! The wait time was a little of nothing and they took good care of me. If I ever need oral surgery again, I will be using them and making sure Dr Yang is the one who performs the surgery. I'm looking for a regular dentist and I'd rather drive an hour to get help from them

Fantastic experience: The staff is professional and punctual. The doctor is gentle and does a great job listening to any of my concerns. Overall I'm very pleased with the service!

Positive experience: Everyone at the front counter was nice and did a great job. The Assistant was nice and also did a great job. The dentist not sure what his name was, but Tuesday was his last day and it seemed like he was in a hurry to re-cemented my tooth because he did not get it straight like he was in a hurry to get done.

Fantastic experience: Dr Elmajie, T. Was very professional, his crew worked along with my anxiety. Fast accurate and very professional well work done. Also I went back for a root canal 10 days later, but due to the extensive damage on my molar, I ended up getting and extraction and bone graft placed. I never ever had to request a break this time I had to due to almost a panic attack. Dr Abdallah and his assistant were so patient and courteous. Great service!!

Negative experience: This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at the dentist I went in to get extractions and dentures I paid thousands of dollars upfront that I didn’t have to spen to cover my entire services and every time I went in I felt rushed and like a side note the dentist was always in a hurry witch definitely showed in her work all of my remaining top teeth were extracted painfully I’d tell her that I could feel the pain she’d shoot me with more novacain and either start back before I was numb or leave the room for an hour so I could feel again by the time she got back afterwords I was in the worst pain of my life and I was essentially prescribed Tylenol for pain I was left with bone spurs and dentures that don’t fit at all properly unless heavily glued in and bottom dentures that hurt so bad to wear that I literally can’t and less than three months down the road my dentures already have pieces falling off and of course I can’t afford to go back and have any of this fixed and they certainly haven’t offered to fix there mistakes so I’m stuck with what I have until I can afford to go somewhere else. on a side not I’d like to say that the assistants that were there did great and were very nice and apologetic of the dentist

Fantastic experience: I haven’t been to the dentist in 3 years and had and bad toothache that turned in to me needing surgery because of my disregard to taking care of myself. Everyone there made me feel comfortable and not embarrassed about me letting my care for my teeth go. They are truly there to help and create your winning smile again! Thanks guys!!!

Negative experience: This is the sorriest dentist I have ever been to. I went in to have work done on my front 4 teeth and they told me I needed root canals in which I had done because I trusted them. All 4 root canals failed and I ended up spending thousands with a specialist. I can’t stress enough to use literally any other dentist in Tyler.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Elmajie and staff was very knowledgeable, caring, and patient before going through the process of my extraction. I cannot remember the dental assistant's name, however; she was very pleasant and enjoys what she does.

Positive experience: Was very happy with root canal on the top of my mouth, however they drilled on bottoms teeth because permanent tooth was to thick and was hitting so instead of shaving that tooth they shortened my bottom teeth and in process put a fracture in bottom tooth and then declined it was his fault. But I want x-ray before tooth was fix and was told he will have to send to me. Bet I never get them and bet my bottom tooth goes bad. I am a very vain girl and I know it was not that was and bottom teeth have a dip in them instead of making all the same height. Over all won’t be going back unless it is the tooth he damaged. I did report to dentist board.

Fantastic experience: Was very nervous coming into the dentist. It had been a couple years since I had a cleaning and I knew my plaque buildup was pretty bad. I worked with Erin and she was so understanding of my nerves and did a great job working with me to calm them, giving frequent breaks if I needed and was very gentle in sensitive areas. Her patience was so encouraging and I feel ready to come back again in 6 months to work with her!

Negative experience: I am a regular at this facility and normally I have a great experience, however this time at today's appointment was not so great. I ended up removing my oxygen tubing (gas) and left, due to my personal experience today. I am not sure just yet if i plan on returning or moving somewhere else. However in my 10+ years of going this facility very regularly i can count on one hand the not so pleasant experiences, and I am very particular about my teeth and the staff who performs services and that is why I have stuck with this facility.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to start off by saying that with the dental problems I have/had I never thought I could feel comfortable going to a dentist or orthodontist, however I can personally say that I feel welcomed and at home when I come here. The staff is amazing and couldn’t see myself going anywhere else. Erin did an amazing job on my teeth cleaning she went above and beyond. Also on the ortho side Megan has taken well care of me and I just continue to have a great experience time after time. Thank you guys for all you do.

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased from scheduling my appointment, all the way to the visit. Staff was Awesome and also the dentist.

Negative experience: Poor bedside manners from the doctor. Told her about my jaw pain and she asked for me to open my mouth and once I opened as wide as I could, she stated “not even three fingers”. She tried giving me solutions for management in the meantime until I found an oral surgeon and said a mouth guard was an option in the future if I needed to come back for an impression but “you would have to open your mouth for that” as if I wasn’t trying to open my mouth as much as I could despite the pain I was in, then started laughing with the hygienist/assistant. Don’t know why this was so funny. Also, not sure why I can hear other patients clearly in these open rooms discussing their problems, where is the privacy? I used to come here for dental work and orthodontics years ago and this facility lacks in service in comparison to then. Reception and billing staff were great though.

Fantastic experience: I always have a great experience at East Texas dental associates. The staff are all super friendly and I always leave feeling better about my overall oral hygiene. I highly recommend them to anyone!!

Positive experience: The staff are fantastic I always get good treatment, but the facilities are becoming extremely worn and decrepit. I was quoted $5600 for two implants so obviously they are still charging premium fees. Take some of the profits and improve the building.

Fantastic experience: I normally do not leave reviews but I had nothing short of a wonderful experience. I was having wisdom tooth issues and sadly my previous dentist is now out of network. I called and got in same day. Wisdom tooth was out same day as well. Very caring team and Doctor. Will be a longterm patient now.

Fantastic experience: The assistant and doctor were so kind today in ensuring that my permanent crown fit properly after a few mishaps with the initial fit. I left feeling comfortable and happy with my permanent crown. The financial department was very helpful and kind today and explained everything great concerning insurance.

Fantastic experience: Heather, the hygienist who did my teeth cleaning has a gentle touch. She is also very thorough. She is worth recommending.

Fantastic experience: I needed a visit on a Friday, after having a terrible tooth ache that became full blown during the night. Everyone was so kind & caring. The front desk girls were very personable, showed great concern for everyone and smiled lots. I have huge anxiety about seeing the dentist and the experience w this office helped. Understanding it's not a quick in and out process. The dental staff spend the time to take care of each patient to address their concerns and needs. The office is set up with good flow and organized. If they will have me, I will be returning for my maintenance dental care after my current situation is resolved. I am also private pay and the fees are very manageable.

Negative experience: After years of service, they lost me as a customer today. The last few appointments have been pushy on un-required services, as well as scheduling appointments sooner than needed, resulting in larger out of pocket costs. Today I explained my desire for my treatment plan going forward. They ignored me and scheduled the next appointment based on their timeline and not mine. That, on top of the 15 minutes of waiting to check out and leave, I asked them to cancely next appointment and I switched dentists.

Fantastic experience: The front receptionist was great as usual!! April from Ortho was amazing!! The Doc that numbed my mouth was great Erin the OUTSTANDING Hygienist of East Texas is always welcome to work in my mouth Respectfully!! She’s good @ what she does…

Negative experience: Booked an emergency appointment due to pain and swelling around a broken tooth. Met with Doctor “A” who proceeded to tell me “I don’t even want to see the other side” when discussing the cavity and broken tooth I was having excruciating pain, making me uncomfortable that this dentist didn’t genuinely care about my pain levels or previous bad experiences causing in severe dental anxiety. Got the extraction scheduled for less than a week later, during the extraction 3 separate times the numbing agent stopped working, and I could feel every movement, in full pain, writhing and tears streaming down my face. I went into a panic attack in the chair, my whole body trembling & shaking because of the pain I was experiencing, and Doctor A didn’t even bother to ask me if I was okay. Her reaction to me being in pain during the extraction was not of one of concern, it seemed more frustration that the numbing didn’t work. I was told “well usually this lasts two hours” and given another shot that worked for at most 5 minutes. The extraction took an entire hour, with a few breaks where the Doctor and her assistant just left without even saying anything to me, adding to the existing anxiety of this appointment. The bone graft material used was dropped in my hair, with zero mention to me that it even happened, the doctor just chuckled and continued applying it to the area. I wasn’t informed of any prescriptions being made for me after the procedure, and if it wasn’t for Walgreens notifying me I wouldn’t have known. For the ones with dental anxiety, this is not the place for it. For the ones who want their face to hurt during the procedure, this is your place. I won’t continue to use this office after my post-op visit, and will share my experience with those considering this dental office.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend East Texas Dental to anyone who has anxiety when it comes to getting dental work done. I've always been nervous when it comes to visiting doctors/ dentists but they have truly been amazing. Everyone is extremely patient, kind and cares for their patients.

Fantastic experience: It was my first visit and they were very thorough in all of their exams .I was very impressed with the staff the only thing was ,I was there an excessive amount of time nearly 3 hrs. And I had filled all the paperwork out on line. But still It was a great experience and I'm going back

Fantastic experience: It was an overall good experience. The people were nice and I was able to feel relaxed. Had to get a tooth pulled and bone graft done. I didn’t have to be there all day which was also a plus! Thank you!

Negative experience: In last visits we have had no issues. Today our son went to have a cleaning and 2 caps placed. Our bill was 5 times what we were told previously w no prior notice and the temp caps fell off before he even got home .

Fantastic experience: The office manager made my visit. He took a challenge and removed all obstacles so I had a lovely first time experience with this dental office. The dental hygienist was great at what she does and was a super pleasant person and it shows she is happy in her job.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding Service Great Visit, Military Friendly. The Staff was great and Professional. Miss Meagan greeted me at the front desk I filled out my new patient paperwork and went back for X-Rays. Miss Heather inspected my gums and overall hygiene care. Dr E gave me a quick overview and I was on my way. Everybody was friendly and welcoming I definitely recommend the East Texas Dental Group.

Negative experience: Double booked my appointment so had to reschedule to complete my dental work. Fillings were done incorrectly to a point I can not chew food. Dentist and hygienist were not friendly at all. The dentist made up three different excuses to why they couldn’t complete my work. Will not be going back and do not recommend to anyone. The front desk and the finance people are the best part of the experience.

Negative experience: Things were OK until I had a problem! The office Mgr was helping me, and was worthless! I called him back called several times. There was always some excuse he couldn't talk. He NEVER returned my msgs! I won't go there if they were the last dentist on earth. This was a HUGE waste of my time!!! I only post this because they keep texting me for a return visit! SERIOUSLY I'm being nice not saying the mgrs name!!!

Fantastic experience: The staff at East Texas Dental are always very polite, patient, respectful and highly skilled. I am a Registered Nurse and in my professional opinion Dr. A is always cheerful and makes me feel so comfortable and never afraid of returning to see her. Dairi at the front desk remembers everyone name and provides great customer service. Stacey takes a lot of pride in her work and doesn’t stop until you look great. Erin was the first person to work on my teeth and the gentleness she making provided really set the stage. Sandra in finance is always is patient and helps me make the best treatment plan. Last but not least Braylen she is very knowledgeable when providing me with education for treatment needed. Thank you Braylen and all the staff at East Texas Dental for caring more about my overall health when other Dental providers make it more about the money. I am very Blessed to have you as my providers.

Negative experience: I had to wait an hour to be put in a room, then 30 minutes for them to deaden my mouth. On top of that, I had to wait 30 minutes to check out (pay)! What was supposed to take about an hour and a half took over THREE HOURS. I have been a patient here for 4 years, but this is the second time the wait has been unacceptable. I will give them 1 more chance...
