Fantastic experience: I was just not comfortable with going to the dentist . I had a bad gag reflex when taking X-rays or putting anything in my mouth . Vilma was so patient with me and got me through getting impressions for an upper denture. She even was able to show me how to put it in so as not to gag me. She is my hero!!

Negative experience: Find another dentist, the doctor does not do your fillings here. I had a filling that was done here fall out after a couple of months and called to have fixed and next available appointment is a MONTH out, that’s ridiculous.

Negative experience: This was by far the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. The level of professionalism was completely unacceptable. No one took the time to explain the costs of anything they were doing — I was left in the dark the entire time. Not once was I asked if I was okay or comfortable, and none of my concerns or existing mouth conditions were taken seriously. After my appointment, I called to express how upsetting the experience was, hoping for at least an apology or acknowledgment. Instead, I was met with more poor customer service, and when I asked for my records, the woman on the phone hung up on me. Between the careless approach to patient care, the lack of transparency, and the rude treatment on the phone, I will never return. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

Negative experience: I had gum disease special teeth cleaning 3 or 4 years ago and that has a high cost than a regular teeth cleaning which is understandable. However, now when I get my teeth cleaned which a normal cleaning technique I was charged the special cleaning fees even though the cleaning was the standard one. I was told at billing once you had gum disease they charge for the high rate even though the technician said it's a normal cleaning... I didn't argue but this totally wrong.

Negative experience: Dentist waved a blacklight in my mouth and told me that would be an additional $50 for the cancer screen. A screening that I didn't even have a chance to say no to. Anything to pad the bill.

Fantastic experience: Great Office!!! The front desk receptionists are very friendly and helpful, and the dental staff and dentist were very thorough in my care and experience. They answered all my questions and I did not feel rushed, nor did I feel like I was just a number waiting. The whole office was very clean, the dental equipment and X-rays are modernized and up to date. They had a therapy dog named Ocean who came in to visit me, if I wanted. I said yes to Ocean’s visit, he was super sweet, and very friendly, I can see how Ocean must help kids and adults with dental anxieties. I can honestly say this dental visit was the best experience I’ve ever had! I highly recommend Family Dental Care of Medina for all your dental needs.

He is compassionate and extremely experienced not only with dental knowledge but also the precision of work on all the work he does on my teeth. He does his work with care keeping the patient in mind at all times: explanation of care, explanation of proposed care, and very considerate to make sure I am well numbed before any procedure. I also like the fact they just xrayed the affected tooth and didn’t try to run up the bill with unnecessary x-rays and things.,The dentist explained very thoroughly what needed to be done to fix it at the least cost.

Negative experience: Waited a month for an appointment for them to cancel and reschedule. After waiting three more weeks I went in for them to tell me that they do not take my insurance after one of the receptionists confirming they did when I first scheduled the appointment.

Negative experience: I called this establishment because of friends recommendation and I did read reviews here on this post. I have pain in my lower jaw and quite a bit of swelling I was told I would have to wait 7 months to be seen by the doctor. Told him I couldn't wait that long thank them for their time someone called me back they wanted to give me an appointment 3 weeks out swelling in your jaw is infection really don't want to die that way would not recommend

Positive experience: We have mixed emotions. My daughter has gone to have her teeth cleaned and they said that the hooks for the Invisalign are broken and there seems to be no real push to keep them in working fashion. As she went to the appointment to get her check up and was told it’s fine. I know they are loose because she snaps them out with no issue all the time with her tongue. She also has to have rubber bands in and the hooks are to tight or broken and she never wears them. Again we are told it’s fine. At this time the teeth are looking better and straightening but we are only 1/2 the way finished. I hope her bit is getting better as well as her teeth will fully straighten.
