Fantastic experience: They treated me great on Tuesday. I had a “deep” cleaning and was taken very good care of and they did their best to minimize the pain. It was pretty much painless. This is a new dentist for me and they earned my trust right out of the gate!!

Negative experience: This place is absolutely disgusting. I’ve been going here for years and this new dentist chick is terrible. She treats her pregnancy as a disability and refused to do my root canal because she didn’t want to sit down long enough to do it. This is my second visit where I’ve gotten absolutely nothing done but X-rays and setting a treatment plan that they never actually do because everytime I come in even for an emergency visit they just do an exam and send me on my way. A huge waste of time and for someone who gets paid by the insurance that comes outta my paycheck you would think that they would hold their patients to some value but absolutely not. They treat all their patients like trash. The hygienists are nice and the people that work the front desk are too but the dentist herself is in the wrong profession and obviously doesn’t value her patients time or needs. I will never go back to this place! Absolutely terrible and a disgrace!

Negative experience: This in addition to the below review. My daughters had cleaning appointments today. We show up and they were canceled. No notice, not phone call. The reason? We didn’t receive confirmation, so the system moved them. So I left. I call them later and the individual on the phone tries to tell me that their system does this automatically, sometimes. However cannot articulate where and when this policy of having confirm an already scheduled appointment is and when it was enacted, only, “it’s our policy now”. This is ridiculous, I get confirming an appointment, but just to automatically move or cancel it based on no response is not acceptable. At NO time was this policy made clear. I have also never received any response to a question I had about a previous issue I had, where I was promised that what I paid for the below procedure would be placed on getting the crown for the tooth that the below dentist messed up. That was a week ago and I haven’t heard anything from them. First, I would like to say that this review is not at the full staff. The hygienists and front desk staff are fantastic and a big change from the lady that used to work the front desk that had no clue about insurance and was very argumentative. The other staff dentist seems to be really good as well. The only gripe I have with the staff is that they really push Invisalign and I have had to specifically tell them to stop scanning my kid's teeth when I have gone into appointments. This is even after I have told them that I am working with an orthodontist. They will go as far as to try and sell you on Invisalign for a kid that is 7 to 9. I personally have done Invisalign and I know that a young kid will not be able to keep up with the process of changing aligners and so forth. However, I digress. This review is about Dr. Ramai specifically. I will never have this dentist work on my teeth ever again. He informed me that I had old fillings that were starting to "leak". They were the old metal ones that I had gotten in the military, and I felt his diagnosis was fair because I knew that this may be an issue later on. So I scheduled to get them redone, I got there, they brought me back and began the numbing process. The two attending hygienists were phenomenal, asking if I needed anything, even offering a blanket incase I was cold. The problem came when I was waiting for a while (appt was only for an hour). Dr. Ramai came in and then proceeded to drill out the old fillings, he worked at a breakneck speed, and when it was all done, I had sharp edges on the tooth, and went home and after the numbing medicine wore off was in a considerable amount of pain. Thinking it was normal, I took some ibuprofen. The next day after eating, I was in a considerable amount of pain, so much so that I went home from work. I called on my way and the staff was able to get me in to fix my bite. They were very helpful in that regard, helped polish the tooth and took the time to fix my bite, and even acknowledged that Dr. Ramai works very fast. The dentist wasn't in and they said they would have to charge me to have the other dentist examine me, even though I was in a considerable amount of pain. They also explained that I may need a root canal now if the dentist went too deep into the tooth. According to the X-rays, he shouldn't have because the filling wasn't that deep, by his and his staff’s opinion. I called the office yesterday, explained this all to them. They said that their office manager would reach out to me to "make things right" that has yet to happen.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars, I would. I finally decided to get invisaligns and this place provided the worst experience. It's constant cancelations and when you do come in, expect to wait for approximately an hour to even be seen then to be told to come back month later because they didn't even need to see you. The first few months, I didn't even have a reason to come in but had multiple appointments. They didn't even look at my teeth, but I had to make more appointments. The latest appointment they have is at 3:30pm and then don't have any Friday appointments. It's exhausting. Friendly warning: stay away from this place if you value your time and money. Edit to add: The only good thing about this place is that the staff is friendly.

Positive experience: After moving to the area fairly recently, I went in for my first dental visit. I felt really confident about the care I would receive at Neibauer's from reception staff to discussing my plan for my dental care with my doctor. Dr. Mallic was thorough and quickly understood my history and concerns. I don't need a 10 smile, but I need healthy, functional teeth that last and don't cost a lot. My dental assistant was skilled, warm, and walked me through the process for the day and the next visit. Reception was very busy, constantly on task, and still excellent. The only reason, I gave them 4 stars is because the front office has a bit of a cattle chute feel. To no fault of Neibauer's or their staff, this is new corporate model of volume and efficiency and they are trying to compete. Some very modest touches to soften the reception area and slowing things down just a touch at the front desk would help a lot to get rid of the cattle chute first impression. There is a point where processing speed crosses beyond the point of good productivity/internal results as well as the comfort of your clients.

Positive experience: Actually I know that I’ll get great dental care as did my husband previously but couple things 1. My appointment at 1100 and seen right on time 2 explained no Imaging due this visit 3. Tiffany came in, introduced herself and her plan for measurements of my gum pockets and whether improved from previous visit. completed my cleaning after seen by Dr Modad 4. Dr Modad introduced herself reviewed my prior imaging snd gave rational for pulling silver filling and getting crown to protect from my tooth fracturing 5. Met with financial rep to go over billing estimates that went well 6. Have appt next month for the recommended procedure my preference as they could have gotten me in earlier A most excellent visit and had me out of there in an hour total.

Negative experience: This is an irresponsible, unaccountable dentist office. They don’t call back, it’s difficult to make appointments, and one time, they left our children sitting outside when they closed their office. No warning, no phone call, they just left minor children sitting outside. Nice third world atmosphere, which unfortunately is what America and fredericksburg are becoming, if you catch my drift.

Fantastic experience: My first experience at Neibauer Dental Care today was amazing! I'm normally very intensely nervous about social situations, but, everyone there was super friendly and helpful. It was clear how much they care about their patients and their well-being. All-in-all, it was a nice visit, and this is coming from a person, who, legitimately panics about these type of appointments for a week in advance. I recommend them highly.

Negative experience: Check your insurance company's explanation of benefits (EOB) carefully against your bill. Wife and I had cleanings and exam in Nov 2023 $138.70. May 2024 we again had cleanings, exam, x-rays & cancer screening. When the bill came to $381.00, I asked if their rates had changed. They said BCBS had changed what they paid and by the way my wife's charges were based on an older rated but since they had printed the bill they would honor it. Otherwise bill would be $639.00. Called BCBS; rates were the same for 2023 and 2024. I called Neibauer corporate and complained. Turns out this office had the wrong rates in their "computer" . I'm told my revised bill is now $299.90. You can be sure I'll check this against my EOB when it comes. This isn't the first time this office messed up my bill. I suggest customers ask for a treatment plan even for a simple cleaning/exam. Wife says maybe we should find another dentist. I say better the devils you know. July 2025 They now close for lunch. Left us outside in 94 degree heat for half a hour. !!!!!!!! Apparently new policy. Don’t try to call the office manager. They NEVER return calls!!! Don't arrive early for a 2 PM appointment.

Negative experience: Came in in incredible pain for a tooth that needs to be pulled they gave me antibiotics and 2 days worth of painkillers. Neither worked. They tried another antibiotic that LITERALLY ALMOST KILLED ME and when I called back a week later when I could stand up again the receptionist told me they give antibiotics to help with pain not infection. They're not too be trusted PLEASE LISTEN TO ME!!!!!! COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT

Fantastic experience: For the past 2 years, I've been catching up on a backlog of somewhat extensive dental work. I've had multiple root canal procedures, crowns, cavities, pretty much all the "worst" anxiety-inducing procedures here, but the staff at this location takes excellent care of me every single time and makes those experiences as positive & painless as they can. Dr Madad is genuinely caring, highly skilled, informative & attentive. You can tell she is truly passionate about her work. Her bedside manner is impeccable, she is very respectful and kind to all her patients and dental assistants. They never seem to have a "slow" day here either. Idk how she does it. The little things she and her assistants do mean a lot to me. The way they check in often, or gently rub on my shoulder during an intense moment is sweet & appreciated. I love when the staff just randomly start singing a song that's playing, like who knew a dentist office could feel whimsical sometimes? :) The process of dental work is very overstimulating for me, but I never feel worried here, because Dr Madad's presence & precision calms my nerves. I trust her completely! I wanted to also shout out Talhia (hope I spelled her name right) because I've had her frequently as an assistant and she is also awesome! Fantastic experience: One of the most difficult procedures for me to have had done was an extraction, of which was performed with the utmost care and caution by Dr. Mallorca and the Dental Hygienist. Both worked as a team, providing a professional and caring service. Post surgery healing is going well with no major complications or problems.

Positive experience: Since this virus ordeal, I saw firsthand how careful and clean this facility was/is. Nobody can come in until you get your temperature checked before entering. Their professionalism was outstanding, and yes, I would recommend them to family and friends. Also, what I like about them is that they offer more than one loan company to assist in financing at a lower rate than other dental facilities. Like Care First, they provide at least six options you can pick from yourself that suit you. There's always room for improvement.

Fantastic experience: I am a long time patient at Neibauer, and have always been treated very special on every visit. I had the pleasure to meet the new dentist, Dr. Madad, and a few weeks later, had a tooth extraction. She is not only a very pleasant, kind and welcoming person, but she is an amazing dentist, with a great bedside manner. I have tremendous anxiety with dental work of any kind, and she eased my anxiety, and honestly I did not feel a thing! I love her, my hygienist Epiphany, and the entire staff. I highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience as a new patient! Everyone here is as friendly as can be, and took the time to answer every question I had. I’ve asked my previous dentists a specific question about something that I thought was a problem with a few of my teeth. They would say “no it’s no big deal don’t worry”, never really giving me an explanation. When I asked the staff at Neibauer, they showed me an x -ray of my teeth, explaining what I thought I was feeling, and what it actually was. I’ve had this same question for atleast 5 years now, and my first time at Neibauer, it is answered. With X-ray visuals! I’m kind of amazed they also took some sort of scan (I think ultrasound idk) of my teeth which just blew my mind. After my standard cleaning appointment, I was told I have a cavity and need a filling. They had an opening right then so I was able to get a same day appointment for that! The doctor and assistants went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable through the whole process, often asking if I felt any discomfort(none!). Thank you all so much!

Fantastic experience: Hello, this was my 2nd visit. My 1st was with Dr. Rami. We had a plan and then he retired so today, my appointment was with Dr. Mallic, she git oriented with my case. Her and the staff were absolutely courteous, pilite and concerned. I appreciated their professionalism and understanding. It was a great experience.

Fantastic experience: I had to make an impromptu appointment that same day and this was my first time at this location. The staff was great and Dr. Mallic was awesome! She didn’t make me feel rushed and in a hurry to get me out. She explained everything she was doing and listened to my concerns. This location is out of my way but definitely worth the drive.

Negative experience: Billing department is very incompetent. I will no longer be going to this practice, which is unfortunate, because the rest of the staff are very good. EVERY time I go, I pay as I leave and then another bill for more money follows a month later. For example, my son had a filling and was quoted up front in writing how much it would cost(after over a week of several calls trying to get this information). I paid this amount at the time of service, and then, a month later received a bill for more money. This is deceptive and very poor practice.

Negative experience: This is a complaint against this facility and.the wrongful treatment I have been experiencing within the past month. I had an abcess and root canal performed on 11/27/2024 and paid in cash the total amount owed ($1,250.80). On Friday, 12/13/24, I received an EOB from my dental insurance and it showed my patient responsibility of $940.60. I had a follow up on 12/18/24 and spoke with Morgan re my EOB and explained to her my responsibility was only $940.60 and not the $1,250.80 that I already paid and I that was owed a refund of $310.20. She looked in her system and agreed and confirmed my name and address info and said I can definitely send you out a refund check. She then said I do see a pending claim of $74.00 that we haven't received back yet so we will have to wait for that to come in first. I said that I don't have to pay anything because my dental insurance told me I have no patient responsibility. She said I will definitely look into that and by the time you come out from your visit, I will have an answer for you. 40 minutes later I come out and approached her and asked, did you find out about the claim and she said with an attitude and shrugged it off and said I'll definitely call you by 1PM today; I repeated it back to her and said I'll hear from you by 1PM? She said yes. That didn't happen nor did she bother to call me, the next day Thursday or Friday. On Monday, 12/23/24 I go with a witness to the office and asked to speak with the office manager. Connie approached me and said she has stepped out of the office for a while, is there something I can help you with? I introduced myself and explained everything to her and how I was wrongfully treated by Morgan. Connie apologized and said the office manager (Andrea) should be back in a little white and that I can wait in the front waiting room which I did. About 1/2 hour goes by and Connie came over and said I'm sorry but it's taking Andrea a little longer because she's out getting food for our holiday luncheon but give me your contact information and I will definitely let her know when she comes in and make sure she is to call and speak with you. I thanked her for her time and help. 10 minutes after we left, I get a phone call and it's Morgan. She acted all friendly and said hi this is Morgan from Neibauer,how can I help you hon? I said don't call me hon and I don't want to talk to you. You disrespected and lied to me and were supposed to call me and you didn't and never followed up on my refund issue. Meanwhile she comes back and says yes that was processed on 12/18/24 and I said so you couldn't call me and tell me that? She had nothing to say, no apology even just total silence on her and I said, I'll wait to hear from your office manager and hung up. I finally get a phone call @ 1:14 PM from Andrea, the office manager and we were talking and I told everything that has happened and how I am owed a refund and have gotten nowhere as to when I will be receiving it. I even told her this is so wrong to be treating your patients like this; withholding their money.....stealing from them! She said she looked in her system and confirmed it was processed and said checks go out every Tuesday from our main office in Illinois and with Christmas Eve being tomorrow, it won't be processed until the following Tuesday, 12/31/24. I just put a post it on my computer to call you on Monday, 12/30/24 and you will definitely hear from me. So here it is 1/1/25 and no phone call whatsoever. My husband even called yesterday and left a voicemail with both of our contact information and phones numbers and nothing!!!! THIS IS SO HORRIBLE AND SHAME ON YOU FOR STEALING $$$$ WHAT DOESN'T BELONG TO YOU and robbing from your patients!!! It is horrendous and awful the way you mislead and lie with such wrongful behavior from the treatment I have received! If this is not resolved ASAP, I am filing a complaint against you going to the Virginia Dental Board and BBB and further action.

Negative experience: I went into Neibauer today with the understanding that I would receive a basic cleaning, x-rays, and dental exam for $79. What I received instead of the cleaning were two hours worth of x-rays and basically a sales pitch for four different care plans none of which were affordable and several that were highly unnecessary. BTW…my last dentist whom I saw back in February never said I needed all of this done! What I’m most upset about is that I did NOT receive what was promised which was the BASIC cleaning I paid them for. Do not waste your time here. I am appalled at the lack of respect for my time and the dishonesty that I encountered today. Shame on you for trying to take advantage of people who are trying to pay a fair price for basic care! I will tell everyone I know to never come here, and I know a lot of people because I’ve lived in Fredericksburg since 1985. Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves for trying to take advantage of people! Update: I forgot to come back here to update what happened. I returned to Sofia Dental (my former dentist) who looked over my X-rays that Neibauer had done. They told me I didn’t have any cavities; didn’t mention my one crown as needing to be replaced; didn’t say I needed a deep cleaning. In other words, I had a clean bill of dental health! They only charged me $59 for my dental cleaning. I highly recommend Sofia Dental if you’re looking for an HONEST and GREAT dentist!!!

Positive experience: I continue to have issues with appointment times being prompt and on time. Typically this is not something I would be to picky about if it's 5-10mins but it seems like it's been getting up to 30mins after my scheduled appointment time. Fantastic experience: The Dentist is my least favorite place to be, but Neibauer Dental has made it comfortable enough for me to actually be okay with the process. The doctor and the staff are absolutely wonderful and I wouldn't be able to go through an appointment without them. I'm glad to have found the dental care I needed with such wonderful people. Fantastic experience: Ophelia. She is the only reason for this review. Maybe my situation was more stressful, but you guys have a system that just isn't working well there. I was torn on never returning after the degree of frustrations. But Ophelia and he knowledge and gentle care. Gentle spirit. She is your saving grace today. She is down to earth and just a great person, but her skillset is off the charts. Your dentist was not on point about taking molds. Younger and newer to the industry, she may have knowledge on new practices (you guys need more mold formations. This was what initiated another struggle in the process), but Ophelia knows this practice inside and out like a pro, and she has the most gentle touch too. I dont know this industry but I think Ophelia may have had to redo what the dentist thought would work out but didn't. She should have listened to Ophelia. But she did not. I'm sure that probably felt like a giant slap in the face to her. Treat her better. Because Ophelia is your saving grace today, in a series of unfortunate events there. Appreciate her. Respect her. Give her a raise. This review would gave been a 1, had it not been for Ophelia today.

Negative experience: I came here for treatment and on 3/1 I was at the end of my treatment for my invisalign. My appointment was to get the hooks removed and received my final tray that will be worn nightly. I was not satisfied with the service and how things was done. Apparently the booking people don't communicate well with the service people. The lady who serviced me was trying to do a cleaning in place of removing my invisalign cause she said she was unaware. That they put me down for service that is outside of the time frame for another cleaning. After telling her what I am here for, she then sets me up to get the removal done. And sets me up for a appointment 2 months out for my trays. That's supposed to be worn nightly and to keep your teeth from shifting back. I said ma'am how are you gonna set me out so far for an appointment and that will undo the work and process we have worked so far on. She said wear the old ones until your next appointment. She grabs my old trays off of the station they were working on and put it on table for me to put back in my mouth. "I said oh no, I will not put that in my mouth after the way you just handle that." And that is sooooo unprofessional how things was done. I left there that day in my feelings and am now having second thoughts about me and my family continuing business there.

Negative experience: Warning ⚠️ Don't recommend. Went in to get evaluated , teeth cleaned and x-rayed because I got a flyer in the mail and was looking for a new dentist. Started off good with x-rays and evaluation. Then they recommend a deep cleaning and fillings. Said go to the front and schedule them. I asked what about my cleaning. They said they wouldn't do it and to schedule the recommended work for well over a thousand dollars. I explained and had to argue several times that it wasn't in my budget right now and that I came in for a cleaning. They finally said ok and did a 5 minute cleaning with nothing more than the electric tool they normally use to put on toothpaste at the end of a cleaning and said does that work. At this point I had enough and payed the bill. Probably shouldn't have. Looking at the other reviews. They do this alot trying to make more money. As a father of 4 and own 2 businesses and growing up in Fredericksburg I will be sharing this poor experience.

Negative experience: Made an appointment through their website. I received a call to r/s because my appointment was scheduled incorrectly. When the receptionist r/s my appointment I informed the clinic I was coming from another Neibauer and could get my records but she told me not to worry about it and she would request records for me. Once in the clinic I was informed that my appointment was cancelled ( set aside ) because I did not answer to confirm my appointment. The receptionist made an excuse that they do this with new patients when they don't confirm their appointments which is really weird because my son had an appointment right after mine and his was not cancelled ( set aside ). Once in the chair I was getting x-rays done when the tech bumped the x-ray machine into the bite block that was in my mouth. This is already an uncomfortable process and the fact I said something and she did't acknowledge me did not sit well with me. I asked her how many more x-rays do we need to do because I have never had to do this many in one sitting and that's when I learned my records were never retrieved. After that another tech comes in telling my 7 year old to come with her to get started on his appointment at 7:37an ( his appt is scheduled for 8am ) , then processed to ask me if that was okay. I don't understand how you ask a minor to follow you then ask the parent for permission after After this they tell me I need to do a panoramic x-ray or the doctor won't see me- I denied the x-ray when 15-20 mins go by and another tech comes in about to perform another scan. At this point I cancel my sons appointment because my trust was completely diminished. I ended up doing fluoride treatment in which I have more fluoride on my lips than my teeth. This was honestly the worst experience I have ever had at any clinic and hope that nobody else experiences my frustration or lack of respect that I was shown in this clinic.

Negative experience: Oversell & Under Deliver 4+ years ago got Invisalign to correct my front gap after having mental braces twice. Following bi-yearly cleaning appointments, I was continually asked to get Invisalign treatment, very irritating as they should review all records prior to cleaning appointments. This past October, I was told there was a shift in my teeth (I wear my retainer faithfully 4-5 nights a week) and I need to consider getting Invisalign again. After I prompted they ask me this every time I come in, they said the retainers are only good for 1 year. This was the first time in 4 years I was told this. I went ahead and paid the $500 for a new set. Once they came in, the retainers would fall out of my mouth. I wore them for 4 weeks and then I called to make an appointment to get them checked. I waited 45+ minutes to be seen for less than a minute, to be told to wear my old retainers for 2 weeks to close my gap. The lady was rude and was not helpful. I called the front office and scheduled another appointment to review options. Had to re-schedule and get a new scan. The office agreed to pay for a new set of retainers, but new treatment would cost $3k (as my front gap has come back from using the new retainers that were too loose). I didn't want to sink anymore money into this, and agreed to get a new scan for a second pair of retainers. I picked them up today and clearly once again not checking records was told to wear them as if I just got Invisalign removed. I will be taking my business elsewhere as this establishment is ALWAYS trying to sell but never takes the proper steps after post treatment.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency visit a few days ago, due to a broken tooth. The staff was great working with my dental plan to get the pre-authorization. Then, during the visit, the dentist and staff were both efficient and kind. Especially Christina, the dental assistant, who told me what to expect at every step. I’ve been a patient for 10 years and this was one of the best experiences for dental work.

Negative experience: I completely refuse to go back to this establishment. I have never been out through more pain in a simple cleaning than I did here. On top of that, I already had braces and was repeatedly told I needed to do Invisalign through them.

Fantastic experience: The office staff is always friendly and the office is clean. They were very accommodating in helping me to ease my anxiety when I had to get fitted for my Invisalign retainer as a patient with high risk of getting an infection due to a recent cancer dx. I especially want to say that Apiffany the hygienist not only does a great job of cleaning my teeth she takes the time to show me how to properly provide care for at home. I never feel rushed during appointments she listens to her patient and goes above and beyond to put a smile on her patient face!!!!

Negative experience: First appointment I had with them they never made. So I showed up and they weren’t expecting me. They said they’d fit me in but I was there for over 3 hours. Wasted most of my day. I made an appointment 6 months ago for a follow up. They called me the night before saying none of the dentists would be in. Why didn’t they call me sooner? Negative experience: I just waisted 2 hours of my time with Neibauer Dental Care. Received a mailing saying get your teeth cleaned for $79. When I called, the lady who answered said, well when you have insurance we don't bill the $79 but bill you at a higher rate. I knew then I was dealing with dishonest people. On my 2 hour visit, it concluded with we won't do a regular dental cleaning for you, but only a much costlier deep cleaning. They said any dentist who only does a regular cleaning would be doing you a deservest. I asked if a regular cleaning would cause me any medical harm. She said it would not. Of course it wouldn't. They are scam artist trying to over bill people because they get away with it. 2 hours of X-rays and probing my mouth for nothing.

Fantastic experience: I broke a molar over the weekend and am leaving town in 2 days for a wedding. They got me in right away, explained the different options and guided me thru wether to pull it, crown it or fill. I've brought my elderly mother there for many years and was always impressed with how they treated her. So, when it came to my own dental care, Harrison Crossing Neibaurer was the only choice.
