Fantastic experience: Scott Hicks has been my dentist since 1997, so 28 years. He's understanding, gentle, compassionate and thorough. His hygienists are exceptional. I cannot recommend this practice enough!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Brandon Hicks looked at my X-rays. I have had extensive work done and screws in my jaw. He spent an hour going over my whole mouth and examined for oral cancer, gum disease, lymph issues, TMJ exam, periodontal probing and talked with me extensively. He does this with *every* patient and I heard from 3 different sources prior to making my appointment how great the staff was. The dental hygienists there were experienced and gentle. I had no pain. I am terrified of dentists from previous experiences but I no longer have that fear. I highly recommend going there, you won’t be disappointed. My husband even made an appointment (I was the test subject and I am very critical). Thank you to the Hicks dental office!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Scott Hick and Colleen, the dental assistant, made the appointment a positive experience. Actually, everyone at their office is so nice. Also, I must tell you that they have the best waiting room. It looks like a Kiva. It is so relaxing to be in there while waiting for an appointment.

Negative experience: I normally have liked this practice but today I had a new hygienist, Autumn, who, without my consent, performed a procedure that was not covered by my insurance and has never been performed by previous hygienists. Then during my check out process I spent 20 minutes while the office staff tried to figure out how to schedule my future appointment. All of this is counter to all of my previous experiences! Very disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I came in for a regular check up and cleaning. Heather was my hygienist, and she was excellent! She took great care, explained what she was doing, as was very gentle. She spent nearly an hour, this was no rush job like you get in some practices. Although the Dr. was held up with another patient, I easily made another appointment for him rather than wait. Overall, as good an experience as you get at the dentist!

This time Dr. Paul took time to explain a special treatment that I was interested in. By the time my cleaning was done, I had a detailed printed plan of the procedure including cost. Great job!!! My hygienist Savannah was amazing. Very thorough, knowledgeable and gentle. Great experience! 6 months later: My hygienist Oscar returned, and he was amazing! Explained everything he was doing, addressed my concerns and did a great job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Paul checked my teeth and had time to discuss possible treatments of mostly cosmetic nature. Contrary to my previous dentist, he discussed the pros and cons and helped me make an informed decision without any pressure. This is truly a best dental practice in town.

Fantastic experience: I had been seeing a dentist here in Prescott for several years but in the midst of a treatment plan, she sold her practice and I had a negative experience with the new owner of the practice on several counts. One was that I was left with an issue that prevented me from biting down/eating solid food and was leaving on a trip in a few days. She was too busy to see me for five days, which was after I would be leaving town. I contacted Hicks Dental hoping they could help. Dr. Scott saw me the next morning and took care of the issue in a few minutes. I was very impressed with the very thorough first exam at my next visit, and today he replaced an old filling for me with a crown. I was out the door in 1 hour, 40 minutes with a new crown and it's perfect. He also corrected a couple of other minor issues I've been living with for a while. Dr. Scott is super patient and gentle and I'm thankful that I ended up at Hicks Dental!

Fantastic experience: I have had a long fear of dentist based on a very bad experience. I found out about Hicks Dentistry from a neighbor so I thought I would give them a try since the one I was seeing in CV was not working out. What they say about 1st impressions really is true when it comes to Hicks. Just walking thru the front door started putting me at ease. The receptionist was nice and when I met Rose who assisted DDS Scott Hicks, she walked me through everything that was going to be done. She understood my concerns and I felt much better about coming to this office. Then I met DDS Scott Hicks and he took time with me to reassure me I was in good hands and he did not lie. I can honestly say I found a new home and look forward to my next visit. I even have my wife changing from the CV dentist to Hicks dentistry. Just an update, I recently had a teeth cleaning by Kaytlenn and she was very nice, talking me through what she was going to do, discussing pain levels and other aspects of the cleaning. I feel so much at ease going to a visit now then I have ever felt.

Fantastic experience: Dr Paul has been my dentist for 13 years and I’m always happy with him and office staff. I have a very sensitive nerve filled mouth and he never hurts me. I’ve been through multiple procedures and even the numbing injections don’t bother me anymore. I travel to Prescott now as we sold our home there 2 years ago. It’s worth it to me to make the trip.
