Negative experience: Dr. Bunch is great! Very friendly. But other than that, not a great experience. My Invisalign has taken many months longer than expected with no end in sight. They had me pay in full for the remaining cost after one appointment but then insist I still have more to pay after half of my appointments until I explain that the fee was paid months ago. It’s very hard to reschedule. I have an appointment tomorrow morning, I scheduled my whole day around it, booked all my meetings nearby, and am driving more than an hour to get there. They cancelled last minute the evening before the appointment saying that after a month of waiting for my next set of trays to arrive, they don’t have them, and it will be another 3 weeks. When I asked how it’s possible for the lead time to double like that, Jamie was very rude. Over the course of our 5 minute phone call, it went from, “it’ll be 3 weeks” to “potentially it will be here in 3 days” back to 2 to 3 weeks and when I asked why we don’t have a more specific time estimate or how I was supposed to use that information to schedule the appointment since the time estimate was so broad and vague, again a rude response. She acted like I was the one calling her messing up her whole day and telling her, her treatment would be delayed by now, nearly two whole months. She also didn’t seem to understand why I’d be bothered by having to wait another 3 weeks while my teeth slowly shift back or about how I’m only learning this the day before the appointment and not back when whatever delays were happening. I wish I could cancel my treatment and get my money back if I am being honest, but I’m too far in at this point and now I’m stuck with this dental practice probably for another year at this rate. Don’t do the Invisalign here, or if you do, expect it to take a lot longer than estimated and expect for the staff to make you feel like that’s 100% your problem to deal with, not theirs.

As always, I broke a crown three days before leaving for vacation and my daughter recommended Indian Lake Family Dental. I called the next morning, they got me in for review and the following day put a temporary in place. Can’t not say enough good things about Andrea on day 1 and DMD Charles Bunch and his staff on day 2. We will moving to Indian Lake Family Dental. You now have two new customers. Fantastic experience: I love my dentist and his team! Dr. Bunch is so sweet, excellent bedside manner and very thorough and professional! He truly cares about your needs as a patient! (I’m that patient that has to have nitric before any work can be done) Caroline, Marissa and the girls up front are the BEST! Caroline and Marissa are Angels on Earth! I went into the office with horrible pain, I had also been to the ER the night before. After scans were done, Dr. Bunch found the problem! A root in my back molar had broke and was infected so infection had built up under the crown. They numbed me to give me instant relief. The infection was so bad Dr.Bunch discussed my options and we decided to extract the tooth that day. I will be getting an implant done but first I have to heal from the infection and extraction. They took wonderful care of me, it was actually kinda cool. (I’m a chicken until I have the nitric then I’m really brave) If you’re looking for a new dentist I highly recommend Indian Lake Family Dental, Dr. Bunch and his team are exceptional!!!

Fantastic experience: If you have ever dreaded going to the dentist, you need to try this place. They continually are concerned about your comfort and pain level. They are extremely professional and are extremely kind and helpful to each other as they do a wonderful job taking care of you. Dr Coghlan and Dr. Bunch are wonderful and very good at what they do! Fantastic experience: FINALLY my 83 year old Dad decided to get dentures and went in for his consultation. The receptionist and staff were so very welcoming and friendly. The dentist was very thorough in explaining entire procedure, kind and considerate. Dad felt at ease and is eager to move forward. As we were leaving, he said “They sure do know their stuff around there.”

Fantastic experience: I love this dental practice. Extremely professional yet personable and friendly. The front office staff is quick to greet you with a smile and get you checked in. Wait time is always minimal. The Dental Hygientist was amazing. Talked me through everything she was doing. Communication was top notch. Dr B, the Dr who did my extraction was very, very good. I was hesitant, of course, but he allayed my concerns. He was quick and gentle. Post op directions were given by the Assistant , Gracie, I believe and Dentist as well. I had very little pain post out was prepared if I would have. I highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Very professional, skilled staff who is attentive and kind in providing care to patient’s needs. Environment is inviting and warm. Staff allows time for Q&A and educates as needed. I highly recommend this practice.

Negative experience: I think they’ve had a staff change in the last 2 months. Scheduling is such a struggle for them now. I had 2 different appointments scheduled on the same day, and they cancelled the most important one without telling me. I was very clear that both appointments needed to be on the same day, because I don’t live there. I drove all the way out there for nothing, even after confirming the appointments a million different times and ways with them (I don’t live in Hendersonville.) Their solution was to try and get me to come back again on Monday. That did not happen, and I will not be going back.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy going to the dentist at Indian Lake Family Dental, the staff is friendly and outgoing the really make you feel comfortable. Dr Bunch is like having your family member being your dentist. He takes the time to talk to everyone that sits in a chair in his office. I was impressed when I saw him come out and introduce himself to a new patient prior to the patient’s appointment. Talk about making someone feel welcome. I don’t know where or who does the hiring for his hygienist but I have yet to meet one that hasn’t been polite

They've done everything for me from cleanings to crowns and cosmetic work, and everything has been perfect. Their office runs like a finely tuned machine, and I am always impressed how caring and kind every member of their staff is every time I'm there. Their insurance people also work wonders with getting insurance to cover just about everything. I highly recommend this wonderful practice!

Fantastic experience: I've been meaning to do this a long time- since we moved to Hendersonville in 2019. Every time I visit Indian Lake Family Dental it feels more like an experience rather than just a dentist appointment, all of the staff seem very close knit to each other while also providing excellent care and in a timely fashion. I've had the pleasure of working with both Dr. Bunch and Dr. Coughlan as well as many of the hygienists and it's honestly one of my favorite experiences since moving here to Tennessee, very pleasant and professional with great personalities!

Fantastic experience: I never enjoy the reason for going to the dentist, but the entire team at Indian Lake go the distance to make sure that I am still alive and as comfortable as I can be…while they go about delivering the best outcomes they can. I recommend them highly!! October 2024: I am still more than satisfied to be an ILFD “customer”. While they certainly have the skills to take care of my dental needs, it is their consideration and sensitivity that keeps me invested in this wonderful practice. I continue to give them high marks! April 2025: The folks at Indian Lake have become like family to me. They make me feel much less nervous about everything dental to counteract my awful childhood experiences as a kid, as they show compassion and true caring every time I enter through their doors! Fantastic experience: Went to Indian Lake Dental for a first time visit. They were so detailed. They ensured they had xrays of all angles of my teeth. The Hygenist was super sweet and she walked me through all her steps. I saw Dr. Bunch and he genuinely smiled when I told him I'm not a fan of any drilling so if it's not broke I don't want to fix it yet. He completely understood and told me to call if and when there were issues. 100% recommend.

Negative experience: I wanted to have a check up and cleaning and meet the Dentist and Hygienist to decide if this was the best fit for me. It wasn't. After an hour and a half, over 20 minutes spent sitting in the chair wondering where the Hygienist and Dentist were, I was told the basic cleaning wasn't satisfactory to them and without an up additional up charge of $340 they were not willing to complete my appt. Needless to say, I wont be returning or recommending their service.

Fantastic experience: Truly a very nice and friendly atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and really helpful into helping you understand what you need to do to take better care of your teeth. I cant wait to let them help me perfect my smile once again. My smile is near perfect now, thank you Dr. Bunch and Indian Lake Family Dental

Fantastic experience: I absolutely HATE going to the dentist. I get the worst anxiety. But this place really made me feel so comfortable. My hygienist Caroline was so kind and caring and made me feel so much less uncomfortable about being there. They didn’t make me feel ashamed for how bad I had let my teeth get and assured me that they were there to help and not judge. The dentist dr. Bunch was so kind. He was very personable and helped me feel more relaxed cracking jokes and constantly assuring me. They didn’t try and over sell and tell me I needed all this random stuff done. For the most part I pretty much knew what I needed done so was happy to hear they felt the same. Going back Friday for my deep clean and so excited to get back to a healthy smile. Even the front desk girls were so sweet! 10/10 recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I’m a senior citizen suffering from a brutal fall that caused loss of teeth. The ENTIRE team just loved me and were so kind and gentle. When Dr Coglin came in he explained he wanted to get my front tooth replaced and see me smile again. What a blessing to be ministered to by such kind people.

The personnel are always friendly (they greet me by name), efficient, and professional. From the very beginning, Dr. Bunch, knew of my fear and always works toward making me comfortable. Fantastic experience: Yesterday was my first visit to Indian Lake family dentistry and I give it a big ol’ thumbs up! The front desk staff were all welcoming and efficient. The hygienists were so personable and professional and caring. The dentist was attentive and did not make me feel rushed. I love that they were thorough but also not pushing me to do any extra or unnecessary procedures. I do not dread going back but it’s still a dentist so I can’t say I look forward to it.

Positive experience: Office manager did not return calls. Be aware that office does not send credit checks from insurance overpayment unless you ask.Overall dentist and hygienist are excellent. Would like to have nitrous oxide offered before a dental procedure.

Negative experience: I went to this facility after a move to this area. Originally, I was scheduled for a cleaning and exam in one appointment. They ended up breaking up my appointments. I had to come back another day for the cleaning because (after having me wait way past my appointment time in the waiting room) they didn’t have time for my cleaning. They claimed to have found three cavities that I just didn’t feel good about. So I ended up going to my previous dentist. He did x-rays and found no cavities or anything that needed filled. This place is definitely just a money grab. I was also told my cleaning and x-rays would cost a certain amount with my insurance only to later be billed almost double (two months later after I paid what I was told I initially owed at the office).

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bunch and the team here is amazing! I had my permanent retainer loosen on a Friday, when my normal dentist was not open. I called around to a dozen or more places actually open on Friday and nobody could work me into their schedule other than this awesome office! They saw me quickly, fixed my retainer perfectly, and then Dr. Bunch didn’t even charge me for his care! Obviously, I will be switching to this office for my ongoing dental care!!!

Fantastic experience: This facility is beautiful and the employees are fantastic from the receptionist and the dental assistant, Leslie to Dr. Coghlan. I have a true fear of dentists but when I met Dr. Coghlan I was instantly at ease. He is so personable, but professional. I feel like I have finally found my dentist. I traveled approx 80 miles to see this dentist and after meeting him and his staff I would have gladly traveled further to be able to feel so confident in their care. I'm so happy and relieved finally to find such a great dental facility!

Negative experience: Beware: I just want to give this review to warn people, I went for cleaning and exam 2 ish years ago and the hygienist like told me oh I see lots of cavities, Dr. bunch came in and said looks like you need a couple of fillings, I went to my long time dentist in another city and they did x-rays and no cavities just stain on the outside of the teeth! Beware of dentists doing procedures that are not needed. This is not a family owned practice and it is owned by corporation!

Fantastic experience: My family and I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Bunch for the last year and we were always so pleased with him and his staff (especially Miss Caroline!). Their attitude is always positive and their mood is always happy. It may sound cheesy, but the way they treat you really makes you feel like family there. Even my 2 year old son enjoys seeing them, he is able to relax and have fun. If we weren’t moving out of state, we would continue our care at Indian Lake Family Dental for sure. Grateful for them, especially for helping my son have a positive experience as he begins his dentistry journey :)

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bunch has been a life saver! He and his staff have come in on their day off because of either extreme pain, or a temporary crown mishap and saved the day! Dr. Bunch is so very gentle, considerate, making sure you are not in any discomfort during procedures. Every one of his staff are so kind and work with you in every way possible. It is a fun atmosphere and I would highly recommend Dr. Bunch as your dentist!
