Fantastic experience: Today I was here to get my teeth cleaned. Lisa "LBK" is really sweet and thorough about her work. She came right in and cleaned my teeth up!! Then, Dr. Maturi came in and checked my teeth. He saw a tooth that another Dentist did and told me to go back and have them check it for an infection. That was HUGE! he did not have to tell me anything.I truly appreciate and trust Dr. Maturi and his staff. I have recommended friends to come to Dr. Maturi. Keep up the good work!! And Thanks

Dr. Toritto makes sure you are comfortable and takes the time to answer any questions. You are treated like a human here and not just a number. If you are looking for quality dental care and actually look forward to going to the dentist this is the place for you!

Fantastic experience: Was able to get in the same day for dental pain. I saw Dr. Toritto DMD and his dental assistant who were absolutely remarkable!!!! Dr. Toritto took an xray and CT scan and figured out the issue, came up with a game plan, the financial lady discussed everything with me and I did not feel pressured at all to proceed if I chose not to. They kept me comfortable the entire time, explained everything to me, they both had amazing personalities, and was able to send me on my way home pain free, albeit I was very numb for a few hours. I am very pleased with the care I received at Oswego Commons Family Dental and highly recommend them if you are in need of dental care!!

However I got an explanation of why the toothache happens and why the best course of action is not to do anything, just leave things as is right now. I really appreciate this. So many practices are about the money and how much they can bill insurance. This one gives consultation.

Negative experience: I was not happy with my service the staff did not guide me properly and I was told that the treatment I am doing will be covered and wasn't. They have misguided me and was not happy with the service I got . I would not recommend this place as they are not clear with what they say and later we get a surprise of a big medical bill.

Positive experience: I like the dental office, a little pricey, my issue is the availability. I shouldn’t have to wait 7 months for a cleaning when it takes 40 minutes. Also pricey. Yes it’s good quality work. But very pricey

Fantastic experience: I woke up yesterday with half my face swollen and had an abscesses tooth. They were able to see me in the morning that day. I was given an antibiotic prescription, an x-ray, and CT scan! Thank goodness because my abscess was really bad a week immediate treatment was very important. I was very pleased with the quality of care. They are a very caring staff and also extremely professional. Especially the hygienist Carissa Klimek and the dentist I saw.

Fantastic experience: Even though I’ve only been there 2 times I’m completely convinced I have finally found the right practice to receive my Dental work. The practice immediately got me to the right persons to help my specific needs. I need a lot of Dental work done since I’ve neglected to see a Dentist in 6 years. I’ve had bad experiences with Dentists in the past. But I am completely convinced this is my new place to have all my Dental work done. THANKYOU Oswego Commons Family Dental.

Negative experience: The hygienist was not good. A basic cleaning should not hurt but I had to tell her several times to stop that she was hurting me. Very disappointed because my previous visits were positive.

Negative experience: Absolutely ridiculous. I paid $45,000 up front for implants, and the anesthesiologist that the dentist use has been incredibly unprofessional. For over a month they could have been figuring out things for me but two weeks before my schedule procedure they told me I had to go be cleared by my physician, so I had to scramble to even get an appointment with them and then to get the test that they required. Then, 2 days before my procedure they told me they can't do it because of some notes from 2022 from my cardiologist. All this should have been done beforehand, not two days before my appointment. Now I've taken time off and change my life around getting ready for this procedure and spent money on things to be able to heal with and it has been a complete waste. I'm absolutely livid and Incredibly disappointed with this whole process. They might be good dentist, but they aren't good at all the scheduling for dental implants at all. Literally wasted months of my time

Fantastic experience: I went in for a dental cleaning. Dr Toritto was able to squeeze me into his busy schedule very quickly. They took X-rays and Dr Toritto went over them at length explaining to me the status of my dental health, making sure I understood everything and asked if I had any questions. My hygienist, Liz, was great as she was the one who actually performed my dental cleaning. Throughout the process, she stopped periodically to make sure I was comfortable during this dreaded procedure - very nice and professional of her. After the procedure she explained to me how to better take care of my teeth and even gave me a free sample! Overall, my experience was wonderful, I would highly recommend Dr Toritto as he takes time out of his busy day to make you feel welcomed and valued as a patient. Liz, is definitely my go to dental hygienist at this office, as she was very gentle and personable in her approach.

Fantastic experience: I waited till I was done with my treatment plan to review. I avoided going to a dentist for a decade, but the fear I had was erased after the first visit. I needed a lot of work from root canals to implants and extractions. They take care of you and DON'T JUDGE YOU. They prioritize what needs to be done n make you feel comfortable..I have anxiety and cptsd that being said I felt taken care of and I could trust that my best interest was going to be addressed. I recommend. I moved further away..but I am still going to trust Oswego Family Commons Dental

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for years and my ONLY complaint is that they switched up which type of Delta Dental insurance they accept, so I had to scramble to enroll in the right plan so that my family could continue going here for our dental needs, which I suppose is also a compliment if I like them enough to jump through insurance hoops instead of just switching providers? lol So, I’ve never had anything but good things to say about Oswego Commons. But I’ve also never taken the time to leave a review either, even though as a small business owner, I KNOW how important genuine good reviews are. Today, I had an appointment for a regular cleaning & exam, nothing out of the ordinary. But it was a whole different experience, in the best possible way, than I’ve ever had there. Mad props to whoever decided to hire Juliza to the team. I have no idea whether she’s a new addition to the hygienist staff, or she has been there for a while and I’ve never had her do my cleaning, but I hope Doc #1 and Doc #2 (I’m bad with names) recognize and appreciate what she brings to the team. It’s subtle, and a lot of patients might not notice it, but I promise, if you struggle with sensory stuff, you will know immediately what I’m talking about. In my case, I’m not AFRAID of dental visits, but I do get anxious and overstimulated. Everything, from the bright overhead light in the exam chair, to the inevitable sounds that come with every routine dental visit (scraping, polishing, rinsing, suction, etc.), to the feeling and taste and smell of the cleaning tools, it ALL overwhelms me. Usually, I just tense up and try to block it all out and just… endure all of that stuff. I have to, because I’m aware that regardless of how uncomfortable and panicked I am, some things are just too important to skip. I don’t know if Juliza came in with some sort of knowledge or experience with people that struggle with sensory stuff, or if she’s just insanely intuitive, but she seemed to understand all of my weird physical reactions and responded accordingly. For example, when I declined to use that spit-suction thing a couple of times, she responded with “oh, you don’t like the taste or the feel? Would it help if I rinsed it off more?” (Yup! One tiny-but-upsetting part of a routine cleaning was suddenly so much better.) When she asked if I wanted fluoride, and I hesitated (because the feeling of that stuff is just AWFUL), she jumped in and added that it was a newer formula that doesn’t leave such a heavy, sticky feeling on your teeth afterward. Um, perfect! Okay, yeah, let’s do the fluoride. And even after the fluoride treatment, instead of just having to swallow that gross pickle & peppercorn tasting residue, she offered me a cup to spit it out in. Yeah, yeah, yeah - some of you are reading this and thinking “Wow, this Jen person seems a bit… extra,” and that’s totally fine. But about half the people reading this will be able to relate to what I’m saying and will appreciate that this place has someone on staff that just seems to know. So this review is for THOSE people. And for the business itself, so that they maybe recognize that they have an undercover asset on staff.

Fantastic experience: I am so impressed with Oswego Commons Family Dental! Everyone is extremely nice and they explain everything! They are wonderful with kids too! Everything was extremely clean! They wipe down everything right after they use it. ALL the instruments were in sterile packaging. So glad we found a great dentist!

It’s been multiple times they have not changed my appointment or called me back after I’ve left a voicemail. It’s difficult getting a hold of the office. Dental assistants are great.
