Fantastic experience: Amazing Dentist! Staff is so friendly, and Dr. Heck is so kind and helpful. Highly recommend this practice!

Negative experience: I was spoke to very unprofessionally and blamed for not confirming my appointment by receptionis although I had proof of my text confirmation and call log confirmation as well. I could not reason with her and had to walk out on the appointment and not return for my implant appointment the next day. Unfortunately the person who offended me in the reception area never apologized and continued to blame me for "them running behind" awful patient service! I love my dentist but will not tolerate disrespect when I'm spending thousands of dollars and have referred several people there.

Fantastic experience: I was with my previous dentist for over 25 years, so I was nervous to switch providers. I’m so glad I did, though. Dr. Johanneman has been amazing and makes going to the dentist tolerable. I have EDS and POTS, so I need special accommodations to avoid complications. Not only did Dr. Johanneman accommodate my needs, she went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. On top of a wonderful dentist, the office staff is always so lovely and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Heck and team are amazing! My teeth always feel squeaky clean when I leave. Always stay on top of ongoing issues. The hygienists are the best!! So nice and personable which is a plus.

Negative experience: Very disappointed! After going here for a few years, my insurance changed and I was told at my appointment that my insurance covered the full price of a cleaning. A couple months later, I get a letter in the mail from a debt collector over $50. I was not contacted or reached out to. I only received one phone call that unfortunately did not go through and went to my voicemail. I think it is ridiculous that my outstanding balance would go to a debt collector after such a short time which they are at fault for because they gave me the wrong information. When I called to ask about the charge the lady that answered was rude and condescending. Will not be back and will not recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I Had a life threatening dental infection of 3 teeth. I called them around noon, they didn't even hesitate to say "come right in and we'll get you taken care of!" Same day. Within an hour and a half all teeth were removed and it was completely painles! They truly know their craft well! The most painless experience I have ever had with a dentist and they took my insurance! Only $59 for 3 extractions with nitrous, nitrous being the only part I paid out of pocket for. Thank you associated family dental care for your amazing service and adaptibility to patients that need emergency care. I'm so lucky to have found them. Truly the best dentist I've been to and I've been to many here in Lexington.

They did a phenomenal job, the office was clean, and the staff were friendly. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Negative experience: This was my first time coming here and I’m never going back I was watching my 3 year old by myself so of course he’s running around! everything was fine till it was time for me to leave and check out. Front desk person was annoyed with explaining more about how payments work and doesn’t know how to keep a professional tone also in my personal opinion I believe if you have someone in the front that’s the face of the company shouldn’t be rolling their eye bc I’m having to ask a question over again bc my son wasn’t listening to stay put I shouldn’t have been treated that I’m less than bc I’m asking questions and watching my baby (ITS A FAMILY DENTISTRY!!) and my first time ever going here!! I shouldn’t have felt like I was being judged or less than !

Other staff members always make me feel like my visit was the most important reason they had that morning to get out of bed.

The dental technician that tended to my mother for a very long procedure was compassionate and skilled. Dr. Heck took his time to explain information to us and did a great job. Negative experience: New policy states they will automatically cancel your appointment if you don't respond to their 24 hours confirmation text. It took me 6 months to book the appointment and they cancelled. I had never been late or missed a single appointment prior to this and showed up and they said they cancelled my appointment. Also, I had no text or call that they had cancelled my appointment. I had to show up for the scheduled appointment to find out.

Negative experience: The operatory was not clean. I was an early patient and the floors were already very dirty. The overall appearance was that things were not in great shape . Unfinished and unpainted repairs etc. not what i was used to. Had a difficult time understanding my hygienist.

Fantastic experience: Today’s visit for cleaning went perfectly, as always. Everyone on staff there is exceptionally knowledgeable, skillful, and kind. Have recommended this practice to many friends and family members. Would do so again, unhesitatingly. Update: On my June 16th emergency visit, I was pleased to see how seeiously the office was taking precautions during the pandemic. I felt reassured by the steps taken to insure everyone’s safety.

I called and they worked me in on a very busy Friday — even though Dr. J was out of town. This practice is reliable, professional, kind, and make everything easier. All employees are knowledgeable, helpful, efficient, and are just as invested in our family’s oral health as Dr. Johanneman and Dr. Heck are. I highly recommend.

Negative experience: I was not impressed this visit. I've been going to this practice for over 30 years and I've never had a worse cleaning experience. Will definitely not be using this particular hygienist again. Not mentioning any names, but I did not care for how she talked to me.

The staff at the front desk are all amazing, they are super friendly and very accommodating. As far as payments go, there have been sometimes that I am struggling, and they always go above and beyond to help in anyway that they can. Fantastic experience: I wasn't familiar with Associated Family Dental Care before visiting. I was having alot of different Dental issues at the time that where being addressed at a different facility but I had woke up with a badly broken tooth and was experiencing alot of pain and so I had no choice but to get it addressed ASAP, and my other Dentist was unable to see me soon enough The doctors and dental assistants were so accommodating and saw me right away I was able to have my procedure the same day and didn't have pain both during nor after my procedure and the entire experience was just great Typically I experience quite a bit of anxiety regarding visits to the dentist but at Associated I felt at ease. Everyone was very confident and they went the extra mile to assuage any fear regarding my procedure and answered all my questions to reassure me that everything will go as planned. I had a tooth extraction and It was quick and painless. So much so that going forward Associated family Dental care will be my new regular Dentist that I will be going to for checkups, cleanings, and anything else that may pop up. I can't say enough good things about my experience. I would recommend to everyone who is looking to get Dental work done or just in need of cleaning to look them up. You won't be disappointed!
