She was a true professional and I am extremely happy with her work. Furthermore, the three ladies at the reception desk and other staff members were incredibly kind and welcoming. Negative experience: I am impressed with my doctor's extensive knowledge and effective communication style. Conversely, the front desk staff's incompetence and unprofessional demeanor have been disappointing. They consistently display a lack of understanding and fail to provide a welcoming atmosphere, neglecting to acknowledge patients upon arrival. When inquiries are made, they typically respond with ambiguous or misleading information. I have also observed that staff members occasionally engage in personal activities during work hours, and the evident lack of communication between the front desk staff and management has resulted in difficulties when attempting to resolve issues over the phone, leading to frustration and disappointment. AFTER making this complaint………. In light of my negative experience, I am submitting a complaint AGAIN against "Dental Care of Livonia. They terminated the relationship with services. Then in the same breath at the end of the letter states” if you have a dental emergency with in 30 days of this letter. We will see you. Overall, they cancelled my appointment after confirming on 8/19 for scheduled appointment 8/23 despite prior confirmation. I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of service provided by this dental care facility. Doctor Rafael Hamamh and staff shame on you.

Negative experience: The very first thing you see when you walk in is a large sign in big red letters: “DON’T BE LATE. NO EXCEPTIONS.” — and that sets the tone. It’s off-putting and unwelcoming. The front desk staff is inattentive, unhelpful, and lacks professionalism. It feels like they’re more interested in enforcing rules than providing any real customer service. If you can get past the “gatekeepers” at the front desk, it sounds like the dental care itself might be fine — but after two failed attempts to even be seen, I’ll never know. From reading other reviews, it seems my experience isn’t unique. The office’s copy-and-paste responses to complaints say all you need to know about how seriously they take feedback or make changes. Unfortunately, first impressions matter, and this office failed twice to show they value patients’ time or experience.

Negative experience: I’ve been a loyal patient here for years, but the front desk has become completely unprofessional. Twice they gave me the wrong appointment time, then penalized me for needing to reschedule despite it being their error. I was told I could no longer book in advance and would have to schedule same-day only from now on, which makes no sense, especially as a parent with kids to plan around. One receptionist in particular is consistently rude and seems to make up these rules on the spot because a different receptionist scheduled me on a specific day with no problem. I’ve had multiple bad experiences with her. During one visit, while 6 months pregnant, I waited nearly 2 hours in the lobby before being seen and then I was told they were behind after waiting 2 hours they told me they couldn’t treat me without a form from my OB something they could’ve mentioned when I arrived or even when I booked because I told the receptionist and put it on the form they had me fill out. Meanwhile, they’re strict with patients about being even two minutes late. To top it off, my fiancé had a crown placed here, and it fell out just two days later. The doctors and hygienists are fantastic, but the front desk’s lack of communication, poor customer service, and inconsistency have completely ruined this practice for us. We won’t be returning.

Fantastic experience: Everytime that I come to this dental office for an appointment, I have an amazing experience. The staff are so patient and kind! I had to bring my three babies with me to my dentist appointment and they were so patient, kind, and fast to make sure that we got everything taken care of. Negative experience: I had a great experience my first 3 years, but my last few visits have made me discontinue my service here. I’ve had many issues with billing in the last year. It was explained to me by my insurance provider part of my issue is with claims not being sent in to them correctly. The last 4 times I’ve gone in, it’s as if I’ve been double charged for services with inconsistencies between the explanation of benefits I received from my insurance and the amount I was being charged by this office. The first time this happened, I got a bill for over $500. Called my insurance company as I’ve had to several times this last year to get payment directed correctly from them to this office. I was told at my following visit I somehow still owed over $200. I paid it thinking I straightened out the issue and possibly just didn’t have these services covered anymore despite having had them done over the past 4 years and had consistent copays for those services. After another 2 visits, I get a bill for over $900 and again called my insurance company to have them redirect the payments. I get ANOTHER bill for those same visits for half the amount. I called my insurance provider AGAIN because I was confused. The insurance rep was just as confused as me and offered to call this office directly. They were told by a receptionist the insurance company was incorrect- I do owe them money despite the insurance company’s record showing I only owed the amount this office charged me at the time of this visit. She was BAFFLED at the way she was both spoken to and dismissed over the situation. This rep then sent my explanation of benefits to the office directly to rectify this issue, yet I am STILL receiving bills from this office saying I owe the $400+. I am beyond upset and frustrated with the service I’ve received by the reception and billing in the last year and the fact that I paid over $200 for something I more than likely didn’t even owe. I will never come to this office again. It is not worth the headache. My hygienist was amazing as were the dentists, but the billing issues I’ve had and lack of assistance with resolving them is not okay. I will now AGAIN have to call my insurance provider and ask about next steps since this office refuses to acknowledge the information sent by my insurance provider.

Fantastic experience: As you see, I have been at the dentist quite a bit lately. All I can add to what I have previously said would be I love this office, they are the best. If you need a dentist I would definitely refer you to Dental Care of Livonia. ( Previous post. )What a pleasure to be dealing with Dental Care of Livonia. All of my concerns where answered in a professional and timely manner. The office staff were also very friendly and professional they have worked with my family and myself .I will recommend Dental Care of Livonia in the future.

Fantastic experience: I was in and out of there in 10 to 15 minutes. They put the fake plates in my mouth and measured them to make sure that they fit and the next time that I go I'm going to have real teeth. Thank God

Negative experience: Front desk employee provided information that was incorrect and was not giving effort to correct the issue. A bit disappointing. Also unprofessional again when my daughter and I left. Not sure if she is a new employee or not. On the other hand, my daughter’s appointment; cleaning & exam with the dentist & hygienist, overall went well. But unfortunately I’m open to looking for a new dentist office.

Negative experience: Had an appointment for a cleaning. The office called me 15 min prior to my appt to cancel and try to reschedule me. I literally was already in the freaking Uber 10 mins away. They didn’t want to accommodate me with anyone else, only to reschedule. How unprofessional! Waste of money and time. I will never be back to them.

Negative experience: Not very good customer service. I called to confirm an appointment because I did not get the usual confirmation text. I was out in hold for over 15 min without them coming back to me. I hung up and called back they said they need to reschedule the appt. This happened also the appointment before this as well. The last time they rescheduled the appointment and did not call me to let me know. Because of their errors and poor customer service communication I am overdue for my cleaning. I would not recommend this place!

A whole 6 months later after much tracking they admitted my dentures were lost So they agreed to make me free dentures & just bill my insurance for fitting

Positive experience: I’ve only gone here twice. I usually go to Canton, but they were moving to a new building. I ran into construction on two different roads and then I thought it was Haggerty, but it was Newburgh I needed to go to. I do have what I call fog brain I hate being late mind you…told the girl my name and said yeah I’m like 10 minutes late, she said 12 minutes she said she had to go ask somebody something. I said you mean to see if I can even be seen? She said “I’ll be right back, yeah she said she can see you… I almost left. Thought it could’ve been handled a lot better. I could see if I was late before maybe! I saw on the door it said no grace period, but I thought they meant for billing. Glad my other dentist is up and running again. The other girls were lovely though!

I normally have a high tolerance for this type of behavior, but I decided to leave and find another dental practice that dealt with patients with dignity and respect.

Fantastic experience: My 81 year old mom had an issue with Dental Care of Michigan Garden city location. So I decided to try the Dental Care of Michigan, Livonia. Nikki answered the phone, I explained what happened. She was very sympathetic to the situation, and had me to speak with the office manager Elizabeth. Like Nikki, Elizabeth listened as I explained everything to her. She was so understanding, and compassionate. She quickly took care of getting my mom an appointment the very next week. So after my mom was seen, Elizabeth called me personally to see if we were satisfied with my mom's appointment. Yes, mom and I were very satisfied. Now that's great customer service! Negative experience: I went in to have the rest of my teeth removed so that I could get dentures. They failed to extract my left eye tooth completely. When I went back several times to let them know they had missed something they told me it was all in my imagination. Well 3 days ago my imagination got swollen infected and abscessed. I had to call and schedule an emergency appointment through their answering service because nobody in the office knows how to answer a phone. So I go in yesterday and they removed the rest of my imaginary tooth a little over a half inch long. And they thought it would be a good idea for me to have antibiotics. I gave them the name and location of my Pharmacy and they proceeded to phone it in to the wrong place. I didn't have time to go pick it up yesterday since I don't drive. I'm riding a bicycle with my right leg in an air cast because I have a severely sprained ankle. I go to my Pharmacy today to pick up my prescription only to be told well they don't have one for me it's at their other location another 5 miles down the road. So I tried to call and let them know that they sent my prescription to the wrong place and you know what just like before nobody knows how to answer the phone in the office so I sent a message to corporate and I was forced to type the entire thing with my middle finger to show my appreciation. The lack of professionalism is astounding. If you need any type of dental services I suggest you go somewhere else unless you have the patience of a saint because I do not.

Fantastic experience: Very sound practice. Location can be a bit much but a medicine type center could be good for you… and they are next to some things to do in the area or perhaps other doctors in one spot… if something like that interests you. Tho MOST importantly They are respectful, even tho I was lay 1st visit lol. The dentist I seen was nice pretty and extracted my tooth that was fractured rotten infected and basically hollow in the center-back. Came out like butter. I feel more than comfortable making them my Michigan Medicaid dentist, since most are scams to state the least. God bless your dental needs but I believe you’d me more than satisfied with your Whole experience here. P.s. they mentioned they’d advocate Medicaid to see if I, an adult male, can get an actual bridge.., next to nothing out of pocket 4 MEEeee!!

Negative experience: My daughter went in for a cleaning and the lady that started it was very rude to her. She told her if she brushed and flossed like she was suppose to the appointment wouldn't have taken so long. So she told her she had to send someone else in to finish her appointment. Definitely not happy with that appointment.

Negative experience: I DO NOT recommend going there. I’m still in a lot of pain. I visited the office to check on my tooth and discovered that I need a root canal. My tooth was infected, but the doctor didn’t inform me. I was in so much pain that she prescribed pain medication to help until my next appointment. When I returned, the doctor worked on my tooth. After completing the procedure, she mentioned that it was bleeding significantly because of the infection. She should not have worked on it until it had healed. After the first treatment, she prescribed antibiotics. However, when I came back for the final treatment, my tooth was still infected, yet she proceeded with the root canal. Once again, she gave me antibiotics afterward. They ordered a crown, and I asked if they could check whether I needed fillings. The tooth behind the one she was working on needed fillings, but she didn’t notice that until I pointed it out. In any case, she placed the crown and performed the filling. Not even a week later, the pain worsened, and food kept getting stuck in the other tooth because she didn’t do it correctly. When I returned, she refused to work on the root canal tooth and recommended that I see a specialist, knowing my insurance wouldn’t cover it and that it was her mistake. The specialist wants another $900 to open it and clean it. She should have drilled and cleaned it again, but since they had already taken my money, she didn’t seem to care. She prescribed me more antibiotics. I also mentioned the tooth behind it, where food keeps getting stuck, but she said she didn’t have time that day. I went back again, and she attempted to fix it. When I left, she said she hoped she wouldn’t see me again. To this day, food continues to get stuck, and I’m still in pain from the root canal. Lately, I’ve been eating on only one side. I don’t know what to do at this point. I’ve given it months to improve, but I’m still experiencing significant pain.

Negative experience: Brought my son in for a cleaning today for a 12:30 time got there at 12:15 and they told me that his time was 10:30 that we missed it. Yeah no we didn't the girl that called me said 12:30 I repeated the time twice to make sure and she said 12:30. Also heard them say yeah we were triple booked at 12:30 she wouldn't have said that. Well yeah she did and ya'll wasted our time and gas never coming back to this place again, I'll just go to the canton office.

Negative experience: My disabled son broke his crown, they sent him home without any repairs, pending insurance approval. Took him to another dentist. Found out one of his other tooth had such an extensive cavity that needs root canal. They never spotted that. NEVER go back there again!!

Fantastic experience: The entire staff at this location are awesome. I had to have my tooth extracted yesterday and I was a little nervous about the process. Jackie went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and she stayed by my side through the whole process. I highly recommend this office. The warm welcome and the friendly staff makes this office top tier.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hamama is by far the best Dentist I have ever had. She is extremely kind and She cares about making my teeth look amazing. She makes sure that I am ok while doing a procedure. If it hurts she stops and makes sure I don’t feel a thing. Her assistant is great as well when i go to the Dentist I feel like I am the priority that my feelings matter. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a Dentist and I thank her for making my smile beautiful again.

Fantastic experience: I would like to say that this Dentistry really cares about your well being and your financial situation. They had saved so many of my teeth and helped me get financial assistance to be able to cover certain things that I needed to have done. So many caring people here and are not in for for the money they're in it for the smile. I am a Livonia resident as well I am 37 years old and this place is phenomenal I really mean it.

Negative experience: Our hygienist was very sweet however the manager or person over the insurance was very rude. Our insurance lapsed the same day we came for one of my children and I was not aware. She tried to rush to tell the hygienist to stop working on my daughters teeth after she had already started and was about done. She did not give us another option before doing that. We would have gladly accepted the bill, paid out of pocket or called to fix things with our insurance. I felt the way that was handled was very unprofessional and inconsiderate of my oldest child. Thankfully the hygienist was sweet and continued to finish my child teeth and we are calling to get it fixed and the insurance will cover that. Will be going to another location from now on.

Fantastic experience: I am a patient at Dental Care of Livonia and my Dentist is Dr. Sandy Yousif and she is the absolute BEST! She’s caring, thorough, informative and truly concerned about one’s oral care and overall wellbeing!! During my routine visit this week, I saw a few new faces! I must say that it was refreshing! The staff was fast, courteous, kind and professional! I have referred a few friends to this location and my doctor, they too are satisfied! Negative experience: The visit was unprofessional and I didn’t trust anything the dental hygiene said so I’m getting a second opinion. Went in for a cleaning and she told me that I need a deep cleaning and I have never been told that I need a deep cleaning before so I don’t trust this company because they only want money from the insurance company.

Negative experience: I had 3 appointments. First one was for a filling they were behind and the dentist was in a hurry. The filling on the tooth was incomplete and only filled the top of the tooth and not the side where the chip was. The last 2 appointments I had they had me wait over 45 minutes past my appointment time. So I left. Seems they over book the dentist and their aways in a rush. That's what caused my problems the first time. I would never recommend this dentist office. Also the rooms are all white and walls are scuffed up looks very cheap. The water drill they were using was leaking and they had problems with there equipment. Heard them in like cattle. What a dump....

Negative experience: DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! DONT BELIEVE ME? CHECK OUT OTHER RECENT 1 STAR REVIEW. Had my appointment in Feburray. Scheduled a regular cleaning appointment. Went to the office then Doctor told me that I need a deep clean and she can finish the full deep clean in the same day. I asked about insurance and she said my insurance covers it but there is some co-copy. The full deep clean was done in less than 30 minutes then I was rushed out. I paid a bit over $200 for the appointment. My wife had the same appointment a few days before me and she only had to pay $110. Wife got a itemized bill but I only got a generic bill. Two months later, I recevied another bill today saying I have a balance due of $663! Called the front desk immediately to get an answer. Waited over 40 minutes to only be told to call back next Tuesday. I asked for explanation on the balance then the receoptionist just hang off the phone! What a rude serivce and a terrible experience.

Fantastic experience: I love Dr. Hamamh and her assistant Soniyah (hope I got it right). Soniyah is so kind and welcoming I just love her vibes everytime. She’s funny too. The check in woman at front desk always addresses me by name and is so sweet everytime. The Dr is so sweet and always makes me feel comfortable everytime I am in her office. She’s legit the best dentist I’ve ever had which makes it worth the half hour drive. I hope you have the best wedding and best after party ever!

Negative experience: 6 scheduled appointments , and 7+ months later and I still have yet to receive any care past an x ray. Whoever is in charge of responding to insurances needs to be fired because they don’t do their job. My insurance asked for paperwork back in December for an appointment they scheduled in March- come March and they still didn’t respond to my insurances requests. Lost my insurance and am left without any care. Was trying to better myself before losing insurance.

Negative experience: I would not book here!! I called for an appointment for my husband and myself for a teeth cleaning as a new patient. When we got to our appointments we find out they booked us to see the doctor not a teeth cleaning after they have taken our x-rays. It seems you have to have to separate appointments for a teeth cleaning. We never asked to see a doctor we wanted our teeth cleaned so I don't know why we were even scheduled to see a doctor. I should have known something was wrong when I was in the lobby and people were called to the back and were leaving telling the receptionist they didn't get their teeth cleaned and had to schedule another appointment for that. This dental office will get you in there to bill your insurance for xrays and you still don't have your teeth cleaned. Then it's good luck on trying to get in for a cleaning because they are booked so far out and then I was told even if you are scheduled for a cleaning they have a point system and if your points are not high enough you still won't get your teeth cleaned that day because they may have to give you a deep cleaning. So you know they are going to bill your insurance again for that visit. I bet they tell all their new patients they need a deep cleaning when they don't to get paid more money if you have good insurance or to get patients to pay out of pocket. Picking this place was the worst thing I did. Now I have to find another place to take care of my dental needs. Coming to this place was a waste of time but you better believe they will be charging your insurance company. I had to take off work for nothing. I will say the Dr was nice in trying to schedule me for a June cleaning and she is the only reason this place is getting a 1 star.

Fantastic experience: They were so friendly and so fast. They called me to the back at about only 5 minutes after my appointment time and the dentist came right in and helped me. Most dentists who are covered by Medicaid will usually only pull teeth instead of trying to save the tooth and instead of pulling I am getting a root canal thank Christ. It was my front left tooth. I'm so happy I'm still going to be able to smile with confidence. Thanks to the staff at dental care if Livonia!!!! God bless you all.

Fantastic experience: Good staff and beautiful doctors.. My son lost one of his teeth because he slipped on black ice, and they returned the tooth as if it had never fallen. Many thanks to everyone. also they have people help with language, especially Arabic.

Fantastic experience: The doctor did an amazing job and saved my tooth after another doctor messed up the tooth, she corrected another doctors mistake. I’ve seen other dentist’s over my life, I’m 55 years old and have increasingly become more and more untrusting of the profession as it seems like a constant attempt to an up-sale by these shysters. The doctor here could’ve certainly made a lot more money by doing a root canal and capping my tooth that the other doctor screwed up (and then recommended a root canal and cap), but she was very honest and successfully attempted just a filling that ended up feeling amazing and was able to save my tooth for a 10th of the price of a root canal cap. So far I would highly recommend dental clinic for your dental work and cleaning. They do seem to be a very honest dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: I have always been nervous and scared to go to a dentist. Especially after having a dentist when I was younger Go ahead and pull some teeth without completely numbing me. So it took me a while to find a dentist that I could Feel Comfortable with and with the staff at Dental Care of Lavonia has treated me so well and has took all the worries and scareness out of me. Today I had the biggest smile on my face. Because I received my new teeth and the whole staff made me feel comfortable welcomed and wonderful. The staff is awesome the dentist that I have I cannot thank her enough for making my day. And I would tell anyone and everyone to go there because they make you feel comfortable. Negative experience: My first statement was they are very friendly environment. However, very disappointed in them because they canceled my appointment the day before with no explanation. My appointment was on a Friday at 12:00 the weekend of New Year's Eve so if I had to guess they wanted to have a long weekend and decide to cancel my appointment. That was unprofessional. I am over all these companies not having compassion. I know that you are a business but compassion goes a long way. You knew how much pain I was in and y'all decide to cancel me. I will never refer anyone to this location. Y'all also messed up on my granddaughter's feelings. She was going to y'all for probably about a year and every time y'all did a feeling it will come out and she will have to return. I would not recommend this facility to anyone .

Fantastic experience: Very pleasant experience had 3 teeth removed, the dentist made sure I was comfortable and numb so I wouldn't feel any pain, and afterwards I had very little bleeding and very minimal pain the following days so that was great!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rafal Hamamh is amazing and patient with my anxieties (my root canal and 4 caviteies) and so are her assistants. We also love our hygienist, Hannah at Dental Care of Livonia. Professional office staff as well.

Fantastic experience: I hate going to the dentist because of bad trauma some years ago, BUT today was different. Everyone was so nice, the Dr. was sweet and did her thing. Fantastic experience: They're very kind and warm as soon as you walk in. I've only been going there for a couple of months. But I love it and I've told everybody about them. The dentist isn't forceful. Instead, she asks you how you'd like to proceed and gives you multiple options. I feel at easy when walking through the door knowing that I'll be taking care of. 10/10, 5 stars and in my book.

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for yrs. I've seen good Dr's come in go. I had to pull my family from here for a while because some of the staffing but not the Dr's tho. So I decided to give them a try again. I got a call from the receptionist the day of my daughter appointment about 15mins before asking was we still coming. I thought it was weird at first. So I said my daughter appt is at 1:30 right. She said yes we was just making sure but of the Snow storm that's coming. So we get the and let me tell you this lady at the front desk was just the sweetest thing very. I'm not sure if she was the one who called me. But anyway. So we check in. They call my daughter back. And I Notice that it was on new staffing. But this one lady that I really liked. Now we're only there for routine cleaning. I wanted to make them aware that. My daughter has a very bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist. They were very understanding in very sweet to her. And the young lady that cleaned my daughter teeth was jus there helping. She was from a facility in south field. She was very sweet. And As we headed to the front desk to make an appointment, there was another lady there along with the lady we seen when we came in. I usually tend to just work with a person that I interact with the first time. But I said what the hell am I just give her a try. OMG she was the sweetest person in the world. Me and my daughter set up there and talk to both ladies for about 30 minutes after we checked out. Come to find out they were the only ones there the other staff had went home. You really never get to many people that are nice in a place. The whole staff that I interact with was Amazing.

Fantastic experience: Takes insurance through the state. I've had some bad dental experiences but this place was nice. Friendly and helpful. I had to get a couple extractions and it was done very nicely probably the best extractions I've ever had. The doctor was gentle took her time and made sure that I was comfortable the whole time. I look forward to continuing my care here.

Fantastic experience: My dentist and the supporting staff of professionals are all very competent, very friendly and make my visits smooth sailing from start sailing to finish. I’m always in and out with the quickness.
Negative experience: My husband and I go here for our regular check ups and cleanings. We have never had an issue. However, when they had to refer my husband out for a special cleaning, it took them almost 3 weeks to send the referral. I called for two weeks, left a couple voicemails regarding his referral and noone called either of us back. I finally got in contact with them today. I was put on hold for 10 minutes. Called back and the second lady I talked to was very nice. When I called back a third time a girl named Jenn answered the phone. When I was trying to explain to her that because they failed to send the referral three weeks ago and my husband's insurance ends at the end of the month and he can't be seen until after the holidays she laughed at me when i told her we now had to pay out of pocket. When I questioned her about what was so funny she then slammed the phone down. I had to say hello 5 times before she picked the phone back up. I told her I heard her slam the phone down and she stated arguing with me saying she didn't. I told her I need this done immediately and I want to speak with her manager due to how she's acting. She refused to let me speak with anyone else. This office has lost both of our business due to their rude worker Jenn. I really think she needs to be let go. That's not how you treat customers. A huge zero start if I could give that.

Fantastic experience: I’ve tried many dental offices, but this one is by far the best!! The dentist and all staff personnel are very friendly And they always try to accommodate with scheduling. I called to make an appointment and I got in within two days. I’ve had the best experience ever with my dental appointment. My dentist is, to say the least, outstanding!!!! She did a beautiful job on my crowns. She is very dedicated and patient.

Fantastic experience: I honestly have NEVER had a better dental experience. I am going to inquire if I may switch to the Livonia location, worth the drive . I believe my Dr. was Hanna? ( forgive me if I'm wrong) but all staff was very professional and helpful. They saw me asap do to the Canton office still closed and still making appts. So , I just had another 2 month ( last one was 6 mo.) Cancell and plan to see if I may now permanently come to livonia.
