Sierra Dental & Orthodontics - Tennyson

Fantastic experience: I am new to Denver and was not looking forward to finding a new dentist. I looked for places covered by my dental insurance and was pleasantly surprised to find a place within walking distance of my home that had such good reviews on Google. The reviews did not disappoint and I had a very pleasant experience here. I came in for an overdue checkup and cleaning and left with another appointment to get a night guard. The whole process was pretty painless and every single person I interacted with was pleasant and professional. I was also impressed with the diversity of the staff at this practice.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Sierra Dental & Orthodontics for 5 years now and couldn't think of going anywhere else. Convenient location (and an excuse to shop Tennyson before or after!), latest equipment, and they treat customers like people.

Also thank you Olya for an outstanding dental cleaning before getting my Invisaligns. In addition, thank you very much Liz, Erin, Amie, Dr.Hunter and Dr.Williams for helping with my overall process with Invisalign, previous cleanings and exams to make sure everything was good to go :)

Fantastic experience: New patient and I would give my overall review 11/10! I was seeking a second opinion after I received some troubling news about my dental health and that I had many cavities and gingivites. I explained the situation over the phone when booking an appointment. The receptionist was sympathetic. For my appointment my dental hygienist had excellent bedside manner and walked me through everything they were doing. They were gentle and took great care of me. I really liked the tiny camera they used to take a picture of each tooth close up. Dr. Hunter was very professional and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and confirmed I had 0 cavities.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for a few years now and couldn’t be happier. Molly does a great job getting my insurance and payment covered & I’m not sure there is a better hygienist in the state of Colorado than Olia!

Fantastic experience: The nicest staff ever! I go to Sierra Dental in Rino and they are amazing too. For my wisdom teeth removal, I had to go to Sierra Dental in Tennyson and they were just as amazing. Sue at the front desk answered all my questions and was extremely helpful. Dr. Momin and his assistant were great. (I can’t remember his assistants name - sorry!!) but he was so sweet and really calmed my nerves and made me feel comfortable and at ease. 100% recommend

Positive experience: I always have a wonderful experience at Sierra Dental. My only complaint is that they book out really far and if you’re busy and have to change plans, you either have to make an appointment several months out or be on a just in time schedule, which is also hard if you’re busy.

Negative experience: Would not recommenced unless you wanna have to pay a deposit to get work done. I went here one time for a teeth cleaning and they were trying to up sale on every little thing. They then told me I needed to get four fillings. I had scheduled one appointment but had something come up so I canceled way before the actual cancelation period. I called back today to schedule since I finally have a few weeks days coming up off and they said they would need a $75 deposit for me to make the appointment. I have never heard of such a thing before and I have speechless. I have reached out to other dentist office and they have never heard of this. What a scam and they do not even comment on their bad reviews to try to make it right.

Fantastic experience: I was not looking forward to changing dental providers when my new insurance no longer covered the provider I had seen for years. After two appointments with Sierra Dental & Orthodontics, I can confidently say that I'm receiving even better care and service than I had before.

Negative experience: I went here two times for a cleaning and both times it appeared to be the hygienists’ first time ever cleaning teeth. My first experience wasn’t great but I decided to give it a second chance. However I swear I was the hygienist’s (or probably an intern?) first ever patient and she kept looking at her notes and used strange techniques to “clean” my teeth. Then at the end of my appointment she let me know the dentist wasn’t even at the office yet therefore wasn’t able to see me. not sure how they can rightfully take your money for an appointment when the dentist isn’t even there and the person cleaning your teeth is so inexperienced. Felt dirty inside the building and multiple unhygienic small dogs were running around inside in the patient rooms.

Fantastic experience: Hannah the hygienist was fantastic. She explained everything in real time, including what she saw on my X-rays and what that meant about the health of my teeth. All of my questions were answered and I left feeling confident that my teeth are healthy and will stay that way for a long time as long as I do all the right things!

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff that are always friendly and helpful. I had a mix-up with insurance while getting a night guard which ended up not being covered and Sierra Dental offered to cover the remaining cost of the night guard completely. I highly recommend this place for all your dental needs!

Negative experience: I do NOT recommend this practice. I went in as a new patient, having relocated from the East Coast. I was pressured into procedures I didn't want, I was told they would not do a simple cleaning on my teeth without the additional procedures. In addition, when they eventually did clean my teeth, it was the most painful, brutal cleaning I have ever had. I walked out of there bloody and traumatized. I wrote a letter to the owner of the practice to let him know of my experience. Never heard back. It appears they don't care and are just out to upsell any patients who dare enter. Be forewarned.

Fantastic experience: Updated review to five stars: Hannah and Molly are awesome. I am always impressed by her efficiency and how thorough she is! Dentist took more time with me this time and was really pleased. I have also seen Dr. Kim (periodontist) for multiple gum grafts and I am really impressed with her work and attention to detail. overall the Sierra team was awesome. Hannah my hygienist was awesome. she was very friendly and super supportive with my dental care. 5 stars for her. The dentist himself (I don’t even know who i saw lol) was really quick and it felt a bit rushed, but they both were helpful and nice.

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist office! Everyone that works there is so friendly and intelligent, I really feel like I’m in good hands! Dr. Hunter is so knowledgeable and professional, and Molly at the front desk is probably the first person that has ever clearly explained how insurance/billing works in a way that I actually understand it and did not feel frustrated or confused. Would recommend anyone to go here!

Positive experience: I've been going here a year and a half (3 visits). The first two visits were wonderful, great people, great customer service, great information. The most recent visit was a totally different vibe, different people. I was in for a cleaning which is normally a shorter visit but they had me in and out in 20 minutes which felt extremely rushed and short. I don't feel I got the best service. I can still feel plaque build up they missed even after I told them it was still there. I didn't even get to see the actual dentist who usually tells me how my teeth/gums are doing and lets me ask questions. The hygienist barely spoke to me, didn't inform me anything about my mouth health. There were even comments in the office about how fast she was going through patients as if that was a positive thing. Not impressed with this visit and miss the previous people I was with last year. Will be looking for a new dentist due to this experience.

Positive experience: A friendly and professional group. They work efficiently and have smiling and friendly employees. Four stars because it was my first visit but look forward to making this a five star upon my return.

Celia is so sweet and calming, always making sure I feel at ease, and Kimberly at the front desk is welcoming, warm, and incredibly helpful with anything I need. Negative experience: An unethical practice that lies and does unnecessary work for the $$$. They told me I needed 2 crowns and all of my wisdom teeth pulled to "get ahead of the problem," meaning they wanted to do unnecessary work and treat my mouth like a pay day. I got a second opinion and just had 3 cavities filled. Avoid these people at all costs!

She is very kind, explained everything in detail for me and was very careful doing deep teeth cleaning around my fractured tooth. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Williams and team for about 2 years now and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about everyone here. I first came to Dr. Williams when I was about 3 months pregnant and he was so kind and patient despite the fact that I had a bad track record with dental care in the past. He and Aimee walked me through a care plan and took such great care of me. Every time I arrive, I am greeted by Liz, who is the most wonderful hygienist and conversationalist. Dr. Williams always comes in to greet me, remembers personal things about my life, and follows up on my care plan. I have never felt pressured or like I am being up charged for services. Aimee asks for pictures of my baby and remembers personal things about my life, making me feel cared for and listened to. As someone who is not a dentist person, I can say confidently that I feel comfortable and well cared for at Sierra Dental.

Fantastic experience: While I needed some major dental work done, the team here made me feel as comfortable as possible and explained all steps along the way. I’ve been searching for a quality dentist in the Denver area and I have definitely found it!

Positive experience: The staff at Sierra are fantastic. Knowledgeable and friendly. I am a new patient and when I called to make an appointment I was asked if I wanted to go ahead and do the consultation and a cleaning. I chose that option and ended Up only having x-rays and exam done with a plan put in place for me to come back for three more visits. Love the attention to oral health for their patients and feel like the only downside was I should have been told I might just have a consultation for both the initial exam and cleaning. It felt a little like a bait and switch, which I don’t think that was intentional, that is just what it ended up feeling like. I will continue with Sierra because of the personal Care, the whole team seems to be committed to.

Negative experience: Scheduled a regular cleaning here based on the positive reviews. I was on my way to arrive at 6:45am (as requested) for my 7am appointment, and was texted at 6:41am that my appointment was cancelled. If I wanted to cancel or reschedule, I would need to give 48 hours notice to avoid being charged, but they can give 20 minutes?!

Fantastic experience: I switched over to sierra dental and that was the best decision I made. I do want to shout out Carol the dental assistant. She is amazing. The last two times I’ve been here, she has been so sweet, she explains the process and answered any simple questions I had. She remembered who I was and asked follow up questions on how I was doing with my tooth pain. Also shout out to the female Dr. (forgot her name). She was great as well. 10/10

Negative experience: They changed their scheduling process for my latest appointment to only scheduling 6 months out for existing patients and you can’t reschedule. I can’t schedule every dentist appointment 6 months out without the ability to reschedule unfortunately.

Fantastic experience: I had the hygienist Rosa, and she was so great! Took the time to answer all of my questions and was so kind. Great experience and I keep coming back to Sierra for a reason!

Fantastic experience: I have been to my fair share of different dental offices and the main reason I have continued going to this one is the hygienist Olya. Everyone here is great but Olya is extremely thorough. I really appreciate that she works to ensure my teeth are as clean as possible. I can tell a noticeable difference between the cleaning I get from her and any other hygienist. I would highly recommend this dental office.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Sierra Dental (Tennyson location) since 2019, and I seriously wouldn’t trust anyone else with my teeth. Dr. Drew Williams and the whole team are so warm and welcoming—it makes going to the dentist a good experience (which says a lot!). I even traveled back to town and continued to see them when I moved for a while because they’re that great. I just had an emergency crown replacement, and they were able to get me in fast and took such good care. Plus, comfy chairs, good music, and Netflix? Huge bonus. If you need a great dentist in Denver, this is the place!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Williams is the best. He knows I come from across town so does he best to accommodate my schedule. His staff is great and everyone is really kind and helpful. I really appreciate the advanced technology that they use. Also, they help you relax when having work done by giving you head phones and the Roku to pick what you'd like to watch. Safety glasses on the patient is also a great addition!

Fantastic experience: Greatly appreciate their above average care and attention to detail. Dr. Williams was great at communicating the cause of an issue and provide an easy solution when my previous dentist had just dismissed it. Hannah is an amazing hygienist that clearly loves her job which makes a big difference in the gentle but thorough cleaning I received.

Fantastic experience: Sierra Dental doctors and their staff are the absolute best! I had awful TMJ pain and Dr. Kim took the time to listen to my concerns. She is very thorough, and takes the time to explain how Botox can relieve TMJ pain. I was 100% in after my consultation. (Thank you for taking time out of your lunch break for me, Dr. Kim.) I also visited with Dr. Morris for an Invisalign consultation. He was also great and walked me through the process in detail. I didn’t feel like either of them were trying to sell me on anything, they just listened and provided a solution. P.s. They also have a super cute service dog. Need I say more? Nope. Thank you, Sierra Dental! I’m sending all of my friends your way.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best dental care I've ever received. Having spent over 10+ years in braces, needing every single baby tooth surgically removed because they wouldn't fall out on their own, over 8 adult teeth extractions, impacted wisdom teeth, suffering from a massive car accident pushing me through the driver's side window fracturing multiple teeth, and grinding my teeth through every night guard I've owned since early childhood, I've experienced a wide range of dental care over the years. Most has been at dental offices claiming to be the best, or having the best quality care, which, unfortunately, couldn't be farther from the truth. None compare to the care, kindness and superior quality results I've received at Sierra Dental & Orthodontics. Dr. Drew Williams patience, gentle bedside manor, expertise, high quality care as well as the experience and kindness shown from the staff at Tennyson's Sierra Dental & Orthodontics office is appreciated more than I can possibly express. I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality dental care.

Fantastic experience: I always take a little bit of time to get numb and they were very accommodating with that, making sure they took their time for me to fully feel the effects then proceed with the procedure. They checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable throughout my time there and when completed I walked out with no pain

Fantastic experience: Dr Williams is fantastic and detail oriented. My two front teeth needed cosmetic work and my crown and vaneer look so great and natural. He took the time to answer questions and make sure I had every need met. Had a great, thorough cleaning from a woman today as well I believe her name was Olska.

Fantastic experience: I usually get nervous going to the dentist, but Dr. Williams was an incredible dentist! He very clearly explained to me what was happening, and gave me great advice on how I can make smart decisions to have healthy teeth and gums for the long-term. I’m grateful I found a knowledgeable and clear communicating dentist!

Positive experience: Overall it was a good experience, I did the package that includes 2 cleanings for $200. However, the first cleaning the hygienist told me I needed to spend an extra $600 on a deep cleaning, but keep in mind I take great care of my teeth and am young. I said no which was met with a lot of resistance and she said next time she “would HAVE to do it”. 6 months later I just had my second cleaning with a different hygienist (Hannah was great!) and she said everything looks good, and I didn’t do anything differently in between. So just be ware of being scammed into extra services you don’t need.

Fantastic experience: Liz gave me fantastic service today, as did Dr. Williams! I used to dread going to the dentist, but they make it as painless and dare I say enjoyable as possible here. So happy to have found a great dentist! And the office dogs are definitely the highlight.

Negative experience: AVOID! Won’t be going back. Have been going there since 2018 and had no issues with my teeth before then. Since being there they seem to find at least one extra thing they want to do every year. A couple years ago they put a crown on and did it wrong and I had to go back a week later to get it that one cut off and have it redone. The last straw was I had an appointment today and a pipe burst at my kids school and they closed the school. I called the office to tell them what happened and they didn’t care at all. They said if I didn’t make my appointment they would charge $75. I scrambled to find a sitter as I can’t really be out that kind of $. Ended up paying $55 for a sitter so I could get my cleaning done. I understand why they do that but for a customer that has never even been late for an appointment for years a little understanding would go a long way. They care way more about profit than patient care.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: I went back to this practice and had a way better experience:). Hannah cleaned my teeth and was excellent- I would definitely recommend her. This time, Dr. Williams thoroughly went over my x-rays with me, and pointed out areas of concern in a crown I had placed by an emergency dentist. I went back again a few weeks later and Maria did my whitening. She was quick but very meticulous, and explained every step of the process for me (which I really love). I was a little nervous about getting those dreaded “zingers” from the whitening gel, but I didn’t even get one! I’m glad I gave this practice another shot, because Dr. Williams really is an expert in his field, 5/5 stars. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Liz was so kind, gentle, and thoughtful…what you want in someone cleaning your teeth. Amy did the other part of my cleaning and was really rough, with my mouth hurting at times (and I’m usually not even sensitive to this). This is my second time at this practice. I’ve never been to any dentist appointment before where the dentist didn’t look over my teeth at all. I thought this seemed strange and asked Amy about it, and apparently this is SOP for this practice. I had asked her if my crown could be examined since I had it done in an emergency dental facility and wanted to make sure it was secure. Her response was “we’ll know if I pop it off. I have a good track record of doing that.” 3/5 stars.

Negative experience: Dental assistant was great, I believe her name was Elizabeth. Customer service from front office however lacked in ny service today. Was not disclosed that flouride is an additional charge either. Don’t know if the lady who attended me in the front was new but she definitely was not customer friendly at all. Considering even coming back for future appointments.

Fantastic experience: The dentist office is very professional, kind and explain/educate a lot more about things. No other previous dentist of 30+ years has done this during procedures. The care here is great and they make you feel welcome and so comfortable.

Fantastic experience: What a great first experience with Sierra Dental & Orthodontics! Reception was friendly and responsive. They use plastic data-gathering sheets so they use less paper - which I really appreciate. Hannah took x-rays and cleaned / polished / flossed my teeth. There was a monitor in the examination room, and Hannah pulled up my x-rays and explained things to me - I'd never had that done before - very educational! Her work was so calm and gentle that I was able to squeeze in my meditation during the procedure. Pricing was VERY reasonable (I have minimal dental insurance). I was seen on time and the whole visit took maybe an hour. Happy to say I've found my new dental office.

Fantastic experience: Aspen dental - specifically Hannah - is outstanding. I just loathe having my teeth worked on in any way and they all get that here. Hannah is exceptionally thorough yet incredibly gentle during my teeth cleanings. I also feel like she and the whole practice are invested in my oral health and that helps me be even more diligent with flossing and thinking about a water pick…..great experience - front front desk check in to wait time to, of course, Hannah, to out the door - lovely experience for someone who hates to be there….

Fantastic experience: Dr. Williams and his team are amazing. I've been a patient for 3+ years and couldn't speak more highly of their practice. They send plenty of reminders for upcoming appointments and are extremely transparent in the cost of all procedures. On top of regular cleanings, they have also handled the removal of my permanent retainers, fixed a chipped tooth and updated my veneers. I highly recommend Sierra Dental!

Fantastic experience: Had a really cool (and 100% painless) fitting for a crown. In and out in less than an hour. They used some pretty high tech stuff to create a 3d scan of my teeth in minutes.l! Also, had some toy-tossing fun with Buddy, the clinic pup! Sadly, no lollipop at the end of my visit.

Fantastic experience: First of all, my mom was a dental hygienist for 40 years, so I’m particular and pretty knowledgeable about dental care. That said, Hannah impressed me so much with her knowledge, thoroughness of cleaning, and her education about my X-ray results, which she showed me on a screen and explained really well. My visit exceeded my expectations. I recommend this facility very highly and really appreciate the care and courtesy I received.

Positive experience: The hygienist saw my metal fillings and said that they typically see them on Medicaid recipients. That made me feel poor. The dentist said I needed a crown. That made me feel like a king. Massage chairs were nice. 3 out of 5 overall

Fantastic experience: After my appointment this week I remarked to my coworkers that I enjoy going to the dentist and they found that to be odd—but it's true! A huge contributor to that is the people at Sierra Dental & Orthodontics - Tennyson. I have been coming here for a few years and while Dr. Williams is of course brilliant, the highlight for me has been my dental hygienist, Olya. She is not judgmental and takes a thorough approach to the exam and cleaning; no lie, my oral health has improved since I've been following her kind and honest advice. An added bonus is that she has an adorable dog that greets me upon arrival and follows me on my way out (perhaps to see that I pay for my fluoride treatment, lol). Anyway, visits to the dentist are a delight when you leave the office hearing some version of the words, "Keep up the good work." Thank you!
